I know I said this was just bonus content to me. And I totaly still think that buuuuut I find it very entertaining to see the characters we know and were our enemies before being part of our team here. And progressing just as Sena and Monta and the others have been.

Eyeshield 21: Sena vs. Panther continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (316324) of the on-going manga series.

The tankōbon covers the prelude to the finals of the American Football Youth World Cup finals with Japan playing against the United States of America. Japan is very much the underdog of the match-up, which makes sense since the game is named after the country American Football.

With no surprise, the American team totally dominated the Japanese team, not by scoring the first touchdown, but four in total. However, Team Japan managed to score two field goals thanks to Gen "Musashi" Takekura. To combat the formidable Team United States, Agon Kongo and Yoichi Hiruma put aside their difference and play together, which is rather frightening.

Patrick "Panther" Spencer is the star of the game so far, as he managed to outrun Sena Kobayakawa and Takeru Yamato. He is a reoccurring character as he was introduced as a member of the N.A.S.A. Aliens as a ball boy. He is known as "The Man who Possesses Weightless Legs" because he has innate and extraordinary running talents and managed to make it to Team United States since his introduction.

This tankōbon is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. For the most part, I really liked how the story is progressing. The prelude to the finals was a tad too long, but it was a good introduction to the American Team. With no surprise, the American team totally dominated the Japanese team as it was expected. However, the new team-up between Yoichi Hiruma and Agon Kongo seems promising, but is it really enough to win.

All in all, Eyeshield 21, Vol. 36: Sena vs. Panther is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems intriguing and I cannot wait to read more.

Nothing can compete with the speed of a Black man! He is so racially gifted it is unfair! Black men are superior otherworldly beings no one can help to match up against! Black people have special bones! Their muscles are different! Japanese cannot hope to fight against the exaggerated swagger of a Black footballer!
