'Twas the season, and Moose was merry.

This picture book was much in demand during the 2021 holiday season and I did not get a chance to check it out from my local library until well after the new year. Nevertheless I simply must give it some love and hope some of you will have a new discovery to tuck away for the 2022 holidays. Moose is checking everything off his list. He has it all under control. Organization on overdrive has all the details in line including cards, shopping, wrapping, baking and cooking, decorating, and the stockings. Check and final check. Everything seems perfectly perfect, BUT there is no Christmas tree. Moose goes out on a mission and there is none to be found. What will this Papa Moose do? The kiddies will find out that Papa is willing to sacrifice his magnificent mustache to deck the halls of the moose home. Creative and heartwarming. My favorite of the Moose series.

This story really, really grossed me out. This is about a Moose setting up his house (all alone, mind you) for Christmas. He is a type A kind of dad with a list and doing it all himself. Before bed the family comes in and says it’s all great, but Dad forgot the Christmas tree. (not the family who did what during the day?) So Moose goes looking for a tree and finds nothing.

The weird and odd thing about this Moose is that he has a mustache and not just any mustache, it’s like this weird carpet looking mustache. It’s really gross. The families solution is to shape Mr. Moose’s mustache into a tree and hang lights and ornaments on the Moose. I nearly threw up.

Now, in our family, my sister-in-law thinks mustaches are hilarious. He loves to buy fake ones for the kids to play with and she gives them as gifts. So my family thinks this is funny stuff. The kids laughed and loved this book. I mean they loved it. The hilarity was infectious. They did make me laugh hard at them. Both children gave this 5 stars for the sheer absurdity of the story. They thought it was funny.

I find facial hair to be very gross. It’s a real thing. Of course, I don’t tell that to guys I know - they are free to express themselves. My brother does have a beard and I do tell him how gross it is every chance I get and he gives me a look. Anyway, I’m strange and this is a thing for me. It really sends shivers down my spine. So this book gave me a gag reflex. I just can’t imagine.

So, if you like strange funny things, you are going to love this book and if you don’t like mustaches, then you probably won’t. I gave this 2 stars for the fun the kids had otherwise it would be 1 star.

Read this with my daughter and what a cute Christmas book! Moose is worried about Christmas and does everything except find a tree! Instead he lets his kids decorate him up as their family Christmas tree with bows, balls, and lights. Adorable pictures and loved the rhyming, gave the book a little jingle as we read!

Moose, with his spectacular moosetache, is trying to organize the perfect Christmas, but he absent-mindedly skips one major bit of Christmas decor and has to come up with a quick substitute.

The story is fairly dry as we spend half the book just watching Moose decorate and run errands. The fact that he has a family doesn't even come up until the halfway point. The solution is almost amusing, but I was so bored by that point I didn't care.

Moose is oh, so busy making his holiday perfectly perfect. He writes the cards, he shops, wraps, and bakes, but he forgot one important thing -

Who cares? I wish my husband worked this hard on Christmas preparations!

Then I could just sit back, take it easy, and enjoy the season.

"Mooseltoe" by Margie Palatini was a good book. It was Christmas Eve, and Moose is busy with decorating, shopping, and cooking. He loves Christmas, and enjoys making his family happy. The family came downstairs. Moose was done with everything. They looked around in ahhh. As they looked to the corner, they noticed something was missing. The tree. Moose put on his books, and went to town to fetch the tree. He couldn't find a single one. Moose came home empty handed. The kids looked sad, but that didn't stop Moose from thinking of a brilliant idea. Moose became the tree. The kids decorated him with balls, lights, candy canes, and more. Christmas was saved.

"Mooseltoe" was told in third and first person. Moose tries to handle everything on his own. He comes to realize that nothing is perfect. It's the people around to help that makes it perfect.

"Mooseltoe" takes place in the comfort of Moose's home on Christmas Eve, and in the city. They're important, because the holidays are about families. Spending time with the family is important, even if looking for a perfect tree in the night does it.

There are themes in this book, but the one to stand out more was happiness. Even though the kids didn't have a real tree for Christmas they made the best out of it. Decorating their dad was perfect.

I recommend "Mooseltoe" by Margie Paltini to elementary children as well as middle school children, because it's a cute, and easy little book to read when it's so close to Christmas.

My kids think this is very funny. I really enjoy reading it. It's not written in rhyme, but the text repeats and has a lot of rhyming words, so it's easy to read out loud. And it is funny, sometimes I feel like the father moose, trying to make everything perfectly perfect, thinking I'm doing good, and then realizing too late that I totally forgot something important. A funny and original Christmas book.

A cute non religious christmas book. The Moose family celebrates Christmas, but no one celebrates it as perfectly perfect as good ole Pop. He does everything right, except one very important thing! We've been reading this book for a few years now and we read it all year long. It's definitely one of my son's favorites!

I think “Mooseltoe is a good book to read to children on Christmas. This book is both festive and funny. I read this book to my six year old cousin and she couldn’t stop laughing. She thought the pictures were hilarious. She then stated that she loved the book.

This book starts off with Moose getting prepared for Christmas. Christmas is the Moose’s favorite holiday. Moose was so excited for Christmas that even his moosetache was full of holiday spirit. Moose did everything on his list with no help from his family. He checked over his list and made sure everything was perfectly perfect. After everything was done, Moose’s family came downstairs to see what Moose had done. Everything was perfectly perfect until they noticed Moose forgot the tree. Moose ran out to search for one. He looked and looked but could not find one. He came back home, full of disappointment. He saw the looks on his children’s faces and knew he had to do something. He then got the idea to transform himself and his moosetache into a tree. Everyone loved the idea and decorated him. They all had a good time and a good Christmas.

The main character is Moose. He is nice and caring. He puts everyone before himself. He sacrificed his sleep to be a tree for his family’s happiness. The minor characters are Mother, little Sissy, Bucky, and Junior.
This book takes place on Christmas Eve in the Moose household. There are some parts where Moose went out in the streets, but the book mostly stayed in the house. The house is a big house that is fully decorated and organized.

I recommend this book to children at the ages between five-eight. This book might be too long for children younger than five. Any gender will love this book. I also recommend this book to parents to read to their kids.

I read "Mooseltoe" by Margi Palatini. The book was about a father moose who was preparing for Christmas. He had a check list of what he has to do for the day. He wrapped presents, he cooked food, wrote cards and letters, shopped until he fell, and decorated the house for the holiday season. Then when he thought he had everything ready for Santa's arrival, one of his kids told him he forgot about the tree. Their father then went out to town and tried to find a tree. Every store he came by had no trees, they were all sold out. He came back empty handed. His kids were sad and had no joy. Then, he had a great idea. He had his kids decorate him as a Christmas tree. Every one was happy and Santa arrived that night.

The main character was the father moose. He loves the holiday season and he does everything he can to make it the best it can be. He was a very loving father. When he saw that his kids were sad about not having a tree, he did everything he could do to get one. Even though he did not find one, he sacrificed himself as a tree for his kids to decorate.

This book took place during Christmas eve. It also took place in the house of the father moose. He went to town to find a tree as well. Then Santa came to there house.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading about the Christmas holiday. It is a great book about a father who loves his family and tries to make it the best holiday for his family.

I read the children’s story, “Mooseltoe, by Margie Palatini to my little brother, Wyatt. He found the book very humorous and enjoyable. He was very into the story and liked to point at the funny things Moose was doing. He talked about the story for the rest of the night.

In this story, Mooseltoe is preparing everything to make the next day very special. He wraps presents, decorates his house, bakes cookies and so on. Once he finishes all of his tasks, he notices he has forgotten one thing, the Christmas tree. Instead of going to get a Christmas tree, Moose decides to decorate himself like a Christmas tree.

The main character in this story is the moose. His name is Moose, very original. He loves Christmas time and is a dad. He also loves having family time. Moose cares about his image and wants everything to work out smoothly.

The setting of this story is Moose’s house. He never leaves the house. I would say this story would be during modern times, based on the decorations he uses.

I believe the theme of this story is to make the best of every situation. Like Moose, people should try to take pride in their work. I think this is the theme because Moose tries very hard to make Christmas great.

I would recommend this story to anyone who is going to read to a young child. It is a very enjoyable book, especially for a young kid. I loved reading this book to my brother and would do it again. It is a great book overall.

I think Mooseltoe would be very fun to read if I was younger. The moose was entertaining and also very silly. I think they introduced the main problem a little too late. Even though the book didn't really have a antagonist, protagonist, or really any problem at all. It still kept my interest for the ten to twenty pages that i read it though. I think the book was the perfect length, not too short or too long.

I also read this book to my sister. She's nine years old and is in fourth grade. She said she liked the book. She also said it was funny, interesting, and reminded her of Christmas. She then added that she knew it was fiction. Additionally she liked the fact that the book was short.

Mooseltoe follows Moose as he gets ready for Christmas. Moose puts up decorations, buys presents, and then wraps the present. Too late the family realizes something, they forgot the tree. Moose has a solution though, they lather his mustache up with soap and shape it into a tree. They even decorate the mustache-tree with ornaments and lights and put a star on top of his head. He stays there and patiently waits all night for Santa to come.

I recommend this book for kids in second grade or younger because it might be somewhat boring for anyone older than that.

In the story Mooseltoe , Mr. Moose gets his home ready for the holidays before his family returns.

When Mr. Moose's family returns they notice that there is no Christmas tree. After not being able to find a Christmas tree, Mr. Moose becomes the family's Christmas tree by decorating his beard. On Christmas Eve, Santa brought the family all of their presents and everything work out.

Mooseltoe is told in third and first person. Moose tries to handle everything on his own. He comes to realize that nothing is perfect. It's the people around to help that makes it perfect.

Mooseltoe takes place in Moose's home on Christmas Eve, and in the city.

The main theme in this book was happiness. Even though the kids didn't have a real tree for Christmas they made the best out of it. Decorating their dad was perfect.

I would recommend Mooseltoe to elementary children because it's a nice, easy book to read.

Personal Response:
I enjoyed reading this book. I liked how the author made numerous plays on words that went with the main character being a moose, such as “moosetache and “mooseltoed. I liked the author’s theme in the book, not everything turns out perfect like it started. I read this book to my little brother and he loved it. My brother, Alex, was 11 years old. He stated that he liked reading about the Moose’s life, how his family was so similar to mine, and how the author showed that when one was with their family, they have never had a bad Christmas. It also got him excited for Christmas. The illustrations throughout the book added to the excitement.

Plot Summary:
Moose was busy at his home preparing for the upcoming holiday, his favorite time of year: Christmas. To start out the day, he played a tuneful of holiday music on his piano. He then sat down and went over the day’s to-do list. Next on his list, Moose quickly hurried on to write out Christmas cards and letters, later sending them out to his friends and family. Following, he shopped for christmas presents for his children and extended family. The book mentions that he “shopped till he dropped. He then hauled home and wrapped each present, finalizing them with a big bow, and headed to start the meal in the kitchen. As Moose was checking everything off of his long to-do list, they turned out perfectly, like he expected for them to. Moose then cleaned the kitchen and decorated the house while he sang holiday noels. Moose hung all of the family stockings on the fire mantel and thought that that was the last thing to do. He was pleased with his work and stated it was, “totally, utterly, completely perfectly, perfect. Just before the night ended, Mother, Sissy, Bucky, and Junior looked throughout the house at the marvelous job there father had done, yet found a missing tree as the one flaw. Absurd that he had forgotten that key decoration, Moose braved the blowing wind and cold and trudged into town to find one. He gloomily headed home after no luck at every spot in town. Moose got the idea to have his family dress him up as they would the Christmas tree. So that they did, and that night when Moose stood in the corner of the living room waiting for Santa, he decided that even though everything, “wasn’t so simple, wasn’t so easy, and wasn’t so perfectly perfect, it was pretty close.

Characterization:
Moose, the father of the family, was very joyful, full of energy and merriness for the upcoming holiday season. In the book it states, “He was so full of ho ho ho’s, even his moosetache had the holiday spirit! Moose was constantly busy preparing his home, the gifts, cards and letters, presents, diner, and decorations; focusing on making sure he did them to perfection. He took great pride in his Christmas traditions, even if they didn’t turn out the way he would have wanted them to. Without a care about the weather or the late night, Moose was compassionate about providing a Christmas tree for his family but didn’t mind having this year be different than years past.

Setting:
Mooseltoe occurred during the holiday season at the Moose’s home. The majority of the story occurred at night on Christmas Eve. Although mainly the holiday festivities occurred at their home, Moose walked around the town searching for goods and mailed cards at the post office as well. The story was not based during a certain time or place.

Recommendation:
I recommend for this book to be read the beginning of the holiday season or close to Christmas time when families decorated their homes and other holiday preparations. The age range I would recommend this book to would be elementary age or younger. That was because this book was wrote for children with a low lexile. I gave this children’s story five out of five stars, because it was a perfect light read for children during the holiday season.

“Mooseltoe is a great children’s book that can teach kids some valuable lessons. The great short story can teach kids to make the best out of a crummy situation. I thought this story was very good. It was simple yet complex at the same time. I liked it knowing what the message behind it was. I read this book to my little sister. She really liked Moose and his silliness. She loves Christmas so she really enjoyed this story.

The book starts out with Moose overcome with Christmas spirit. Even his “moosetache had holiday spirit. He’s planning out everything to make sure that this will be the best Christmas ever. He got right to work and wrote Christmas cards to everyone; he even wrapped everyone a present. He baked cookies and decorated the halls. Then all of a sudden, Mother, little Sissy, Bucky, and Junior noticed that he forgot to get a tree. Moose left right away to find one. He looked and looked, but couldn't find one. He came back disappointed and then had a great idea- to use his “moosetache as a tree. Everyone loved the idea and ended up having a perfect Christmas.

The main character of this story is Moose. He is a very kind individual. He always puts everyone in front of himself. He’s very organized and has a big imagination. The biggest and most obvious thing is Moose has huge Christmas spirit. The minor characters of this story are Mother, little Sissy, Bucky, and Junior. They love Moose and they make the best out of not having a tree.

Most of this story takes place December 24 in Moose’s cozy home. This home has a nice big kitchen and a comfy sofa in the living room. It has a nice, big fireplace where he hung the stockings. The house is very lively throughout this whole book. Part of this book takes place in Moose’s little town. The town is very empty and there wasn't a tree to be found.

I would recommend this book to any gender of ages five-ten. I think that age group would definitely get the valuable message this book is sending. I would recommend this book to any gender of anyone who loves reading to kids, because I think that this is a great book to read out loud.

I read "Mooseltoe" by Margie Palatini as a quick story to get me started for the second quarter. This book was quite easy to read, not hard at all. The story kind of gets you into the holiday seasons. It makes you appreciate the things you have, but also relaying a message of be happy with what you do have. Not everyone has the prefect Christmas but they make do with what they have making it a great Christmas. Now that really was not the issue in the story , but that was the vibe I received. The issue was they could not find a Christmas tree , but they made a plan b.

He forgot all about the tree, because he was too busy on other things. He runs around like a chicken with his head cut off , going to different tree lots trying to find a Christmas tree. After a full days of running around he still did not find a tree. While his kids were then upset he came up with a solution. He would be the tree and his children could decorate him so santa had a place to put their gifts. Mr.Moose's solution to the problem had made his kids happy. The kids ended up having a great holiday season without having a tree.

Where did the story take place? Well the story took place at The Moose residents. It started off in the late morning and headed towards the late after noon. In the late afternoon Mr.Moose the father had left the house and try to find a tree. Without any luck , hours of searching Mr.Moose came home empty handed earling night. They spent the rest of the story during the night time.

I'm am not a reader by any means, but I would recommend this book to people of all ages. There are a lot of people who like small stories with pictures. Most teenagers especially do not like long books with pages and pages of words. This book is really easy to read and the vocabulary is super easy. I rated this book 3 stars because I did like it but I have read better. Not saying this book was bad, but it is not one of my favorites.

Mooseltoe is a children's book written by Margie Palatini and illustrated by Henry Cole. The story begins with a father moose who is excited for Christmas. Every year, he goes all out with decorating and preparing for the season, and always has a huge To-do List of things to accomplish before Christmas Eve. First, he writes the cards and wraps all the presents. Then, he cooks the food for the family dinner on Christmas Day. After he finishes cooking, he decorates his house with beads, garland, and hangs the stockings over the fireplace. Finally, once he thought he was done with everything, he realizes he forgot the most important detail. He forgets the tree. He hustles into town on Christmas Eve looking for a tree and finds nothing. After he had arrives back home, he has a brilliant idea to try to save Christmas for his kids. He tells them to decorate him like a Christmas tree. The kids were very excited and tired once they complete the decorations on him and run off to bed. Not too soon after, Santa began placing presents under the tree and the father moose knew he had saved Christmas for his kids.

The main character in the story is father moose. He is a great dad to his kids and would do anything for them to make sure they have a great Christmas. He ends up being the greatest dad ever and making himself the tree and having his kids decorate him for Santa to come that night.

The setting mainly takes place at father moose’s house. The setting switches to the town for a little bit while he looks for a tree. Since this book is a fantasy children's book, it could take place at any time.

I would recommend this book to any child who can somewhat read by themselves or to any parent willing to read a cute Christmas story to their child. I give this book a rate of five out of five because it illustrates a great family and good example for little ones. I would read this book to my children in the future around Christmas time because I'm sure they would enjoy it.

Personal Response: I read the book Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini to my nephew. My nephew is about three and a half so keeping his attention was a little tough. This book kept his attention pretty well though. He liked all the funny pictures the book had in it.

Plot: The book is about a moose and his family. The father moose was getting everything ready for Christmas. He got the stockings, food, and the presents. He made a big list and he checked things off one by one as he completed them. He wrote cards and letters to friends and family. He wrapped the presents, put some in bags until the presents were done. He decorated the kitchen and the railings. He did everything on his list. On the night before christmas the kids walked into the living room and asked where the tree was. The father could not believe it he had forgotten the tree. He went out to search for his tree in the night, but every corner store was sold out. The Father moose didn't let that get him down though. When he got home he got all the tree decorations and put him at his feet. Then he grabbed a bunch of glue and told his wife and kids to put it all over his giant mustache. The glue dried and the kids and the Mother decorated his mustache with lights and garland to make him the tree.

Setting: The book took place in the wilderness on the night before Christmas.

Characterization: There is Father and Mother, and the Daughter and Son. The names of them were not given.

Thematic connection: The theme of this book is to take your time and not forget the little things. The Father moose forgot the tree, because he was to busy rushing doing everything else.

Recommendation: I would recommend this book to anyone that would read it too younger children above the age of three.

For my second book I read “Mooseltoe. “Mooseltoe is a children’s picture book. It has very cool pictures. The reading is easy; there isn’t any difficult word, which I like a lot.
In “Mooseltoe there’s a moose that is all excited for Christmas. This moose is crazy. He’s decorating, baking, buying presents, and then wrapping them. This moose definitely knows how to celebrate Christmas. At the end of the book he goes to get a Christmas tree, but when he gets there, the lots are sold out of Christmas trees.
When he gets home, he tells his wife and two kids. His kids are really disappointed that he was unable to get a Christmas tree. They’re also very upset because they’re not sure how Santa’s going to know where to put the presents if there is no Christmas tree.
The moose has a great idea. He stands there all Christmas night right where the tree would be. The best part of the book, in my opinion, is that the moose has an awesome mustache.

The main character in my book is Mr. Moose. The whole story is about him getting ready for Christmas and he is a big factor in the book.
Other characters are his wife and two kids. They are not really as important.

There really isn’t any impact on setting with this book. You would be able to understand it at anytime, past or present.

I give “Mooseltoe 5-stars. I really liked the book, even though I’m probably a little old to be reading it. I would recommend this book to young children and high school students who do not enjoy reading.

“Mooseltoe is a children’s book written by Margie Palatini. I first grabbed this book because it looked interesting. The book’s front cover caught my eye. It is a picture of a moose with a whole bunch of decorations on him. All of the pages in the book are illustrated excellently by Henry Cole.

The main character in this book is Moose. Moose is a moose. It was the night before Christmas and Moose had done almost everything to get ready for Christmas. Moose wrote cards and letters, shopped till he dropped, wrapped all the gifts, baked tons of cookies, and hung up decorations. Moose tries so hard to make his Christmas “perfectly perfect but there was just one thing, he forgot the tree!

The children’s story is written in third person point of view. The book takes place on Christmas Eve. The main action occurs in Moose’s house.

I think the theme of this book is love. Moose has big love for his family and Christmas. When the Christmas season came around he decided to decorate and get ready for Christmas. Although he forgot the tree for his family he decided to go out in the snow storm and find one. When he did not succeed in finding one, he allowed his children use his mustache to decorate him as a tree. He loved his family dearly to let them down.

I would recommend this book to all parents with younger children that are boys or girls. Especially around Christmas time. I really liked and enjoyed reading the Christmas story.

Mooseltoe is about Moose who is trying to get ready for Christmas. He is making a list of all of his to-do’s, for preparing for Christmas. First he had to write and send out all of the Christmas cards. Then he shopped until he dropped and he hauled all of the presents into the house, Moose had so many presents that they stacked all the way up to the ceiling. Next he headed toward the kitchen so he could prepare all of the food to eat for Christmas. Moose baked tons of cookies, and dozens of cakes and other sweets. Moose also made roasted goose and toasted marshmallows and yams. Then he decorated his house with tinsel, garland, ribbons, and lights. Moose had everything ready except one thing, he forgot the tree. So he went out and looked for a tree. Except all of the trees were sold out so he went back home. So, with his gigantic mustache he had his kids decorate him as the Christmas tree. Then everyone else went to bed and he stayed up and then Santa came.
Moose was the main character. He was basically the only character though. It mention his wife and kids once. His kids were Junior, little Sissy, and Bucky.
The setting is at Mooses house and in the streets, the alleys, and on the corners. The time period was modern day except with mooses and it was winter out.
I would recommend this to any parents who would want to read it to their one to six year old kid. This book is really good for kids especially around Christmas time.

I really enjoyed reading the book “Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini. This picture book was about Christmas for a family of moose. It told about Papa moose getting everything ready for Christmas and making it absolutely perfect. He did everything from decorating the house to baking cookies. Finally he was all finished and the kids came out to see all the work Papa moose did to get in the Christmas spirit. There was just one thing Papa moose forgot. He forgot to get a Christmas tree. He dashed all around town to try and find one last minute but no luck. In the end the kids came up with a solution. Papa moose decided to be the Christmas tree.

Papa moose is the main character. He is fun, determined, and very tall with a large beard. Mother is quiet and nice. Little sissy, Bucky, and Junior are the three kids.

The setting of this story takes place in the moose family home. They spend their whole time inside the house getting ready for Christmas. Papa moose spend some time walking around town too. The story is told during winter on Christmas Eve.

This book was very well put together. The pictures went along perfect with each scene throughout the book. The author describes well and makes the story fun and easy to read. I liked this story very much and would recommend it to any young children or anyone who enjoys short picture books.

I read “Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini. “Mooseltoe is a cute Christmas book for children.. Moose is the dad moose and he is trying to decorate his house for Christmas. He was writing songs, wrapping presents, baking, hanging up lights and hanging up the stockings.

“Mooseltoe takes place in a house full of moose. It is Christmas time in the book, and it is Christmas eve. In the book Moose go all around town to find a tree, but can’t find one.

Moose was so occupied in making his house festive for Christmas he forgot the main thing, a tree. He went on a tree hunt and came back with nothing. Moose had an enormous beard and decided to let his kids make his beard into a Christmas tree. Moose had three children; Sissy, Bucky, and Junior. The kids glued and decorated their dads beard until it was just right. The kids went to bed, but moose had to stand there all night until Santa came to deliver presents.

This book would be great for little kids during Christmas time. I rated this book two out of five because it was too kiddish for me but would be great for little kids. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends because it is a little kid book and I don’t think my friends would be that interested in it. This book will get little kids in the mood for christmas and is perfect for this time of year.

The book "Mooseletoe" was a good book to read to my sister. She thought it was a really funny book. We switched off every other page so that she could read just as well as I could.

Papa Moose has to take care of them and get everything ready for Christmas. Papa Moose started with the Christmas spirit and sang Christmas songs. Afterward he started writing letters and wrapping gifts. Then he began to plot: cook all of the Christmas food you could think of, tins of cookies, dozens of cakes, breads, a cooked goose, and some chestnuts. Once he had all the stockings hung and all the decorations up he realized that he forgot one thing. The family went into the living room and noticed there wasn't a Christmas tree. Papa Moose went everywhere out in the freezing cold weather to try and find one, but every place was sold out. He came up with a better idea. He was going to be the Christmas tree and they could just decorate him. After the kids saw him, they thought it was a good idea.

In the book the Papa Moose has a family of five. He has a wife and three children, Little Sissy, Bucky, and Junior.

The story takes place during Christmas at Moose’s house in Canada. Some parts of the story took place in a nearby town.

I recommend this book to all people who can read! It’s a good picture book to read with a younger sibling. I give it four stars.

I just read “Mooseltoe by Margie Palatini. This book is about Christmas and how Papa moose is trying to decorate the house with Christmas things. He’s baking cookies and buying Christmas presents. He’s dashing all around the house in his Christmas spirit trying to make everything perfect for his family. There is one that is missing though, a Christmas tree. Papa moose went to town to look for one. He went to every place in town and no one had a tree. He came home cold and disappointed, but his kids came up with a solution. They decorated his long beard and made that there Christmas tree.

The characters are Papa moose who is very strong and brave. His wife, Mama moose who is quiet and nice. Then there are the three kids, Sissy, Bucky, and Junior.

The setting of this book is in Papa moose's home. They stay inside getting everything ready for Christmas. Papa is in town a little looking for a Christmas tree. The story is on Christmas Eve.

This Christmas book is a great book for all ages. It goes great with the pictures and is well put together. It would be fun to read this book at Christmas time. The author makes it easy to read and understand. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fun stories and Christmas.

I really enjoyed "Mooseltoe" by Margie Palatini, because it was about Christmas. The book had adorable pictures and a cute story line. This book is about a moose with a crazy mustache that is getting ready for Christmas. He wants his family to have a nice Christmas so he decorates everything and cooks a bunch of food. He thinks he's done when his children point out that he forgot the Christmas tree. He goes out in the middle of a storm to try to find a Christmas tree, but they were all out. Moose ends up having his kid decorate his long mustache as the Christmas tree.

The book is told through third person perspective. Moose likes to make his family happy. His character is very kind and full of energy. He gets the whole house ready for Christmas by himself.

The setting for "Mooseltoe" is at Moose's house. The time period is significant to the story, because it's Christmas time and Moose is getting ready for Christmas.

The theme I noticed in "Mooseltoe" was putting others before yourself. Moose stood there as the Christmas tree all night so Santa would come bring his children presents.

I would recommend this book to children between ages six and seven. Adults would also enjoy this book. This is an easy read and has a good lesson for children.

The picture book “Mooseltoe was a fun book to read. I read it to Elijah's little sister. She thought it was a good book, because she liked the pictures. I read it to her at his house after school. I liked how the words flowed together and how easy it was to read. I thought because it was a picture book it would be a lot more boring than it was.

The father moose is pretty easy going and goofy and always finds a way to make things better. The kids are whiney as kids usually are.

The plot of the story is that it’s Christmas Eve. The father moose is decorating the whole house and baking cookies. So he gets the whole house decorated and the cookies baked. He forgets on thing, he forgot the tree. So he goes out searching and he didn't find a tree, there wasn't one to be bought or cut down. Now that there was no tree he stood in the corner and the whole family decorated him and he stayed there all night till Santa came.

It is important that the story takes place in the winter. If the story didn't take place in the winter we couldn't connect to the story and it wouldn't make sense to much of us Northerners.

I would recommend this book from kindergarten to second grade boys and girls. I think that it is easy to read and they could understand and connect to the content.
