The story itself is interesting. However, the author didn鈥檛 leave the judgment for the reader. Although his writing style is very nice and neat.
People wonder why Amina did all this despite being wealthy and beautiful. In my opinion, she was missing something essential from her life other than money and beauty. She was desperately looking for it and found it with her husband. When she lost her husband, it was like she lost everything. The revenge idea started from here. Especially with the terrible history between Circassians and Palestinians. The hate seed was already implanted in her long before. Along with how Arabs were still living behind the rest of the world. She hated the traditions and the Jordanian ideologies. That鈥檚 understandable; as it was and still suppressing women. Though, she got it the wrong way.
She suffered, and deserved it. But I wonder how was her childhood, teenage and early twenties like?
When u you first read this book, Amina Al-Mufti feels like a fantasy character, it is unfortunate that she is the one who betrayed Arabs and Palestinians, to help Israel and Mossak to kill thousands of Palestinian/Lebanese soldiers,All in the name of vengeance!!! Vengeance that went back to her one first love, from freaking HIGH-SCHOOL??!!!! Amina did not notice how she was changing every minute she was in Vienna, the forbidden things she'd done in the name of freedom from all the western's (terrible) traditions? all of that seemed to motivate her to help the enemy?! Honestly, I don't think she got the end that she deserved, she should've have been publicly executed!!! 3 stars bc this is the diary of a woman who sold her body, mind, soul and seeked vengeance not caring about the many lives Palestine Has lost.
