So in this final volume, the continual quality diminished. She ends up falling for and being with the prince. His cruelty is handwaived away by having it so the side affects of poison made him become violent. It really was a cop out. I mean yes the poison had the affect of making him violent but the amount of cruelty he showed could not be from poisoning alone. It was absolute malous.
What saves this volume from being a three star was a surprise, Jieun. I did not imagine Jieun would be the saving grace but without her, this narrative would be much more toxic. We finally get her backstory, and her wish from her previous life was to go back in time, with her memories, and get revenge on those that wronged her. She joined House Jena in order to find a weak point to take them down. The prince, after treating her like garbage previously, was most likely on het hit list, along with Arista, the woman she could never measure up to. After going back and talking to Arista, we see she never let go of the past and she sees the people as being the same as they were in the previous timeline. Arista, having gone back earlier and changing herself comes to the understanding that the people she has come to know are not the same people she knew in the past. The prince in this timeline is not the same prince that tormented her in the previous timeline so holding onto grudges from the previous timeline is not fair. Shows her growth as a character and makes her ending up with the prince less toxic.
What I didn't expect was Jieun using her wish, as those that are blessed by God get a wish as a token of them devoting the rest of their lives to his service, to save Arista. Jieun then also testifies against Lord Jenu and the House Jenu are sentenced to execution. Jieun is selfless, and while Arista finds a way to save her life, she is in a foreign world, most likely never seeing her family again, banished from the only kingdom she knows in that world, and bound to a God that used her for his own purposes. Jieun is a saint..
So all in all, the journey was worth it even if the destination wasn't ideal.

Really hoped she'd end up with someone else, and sadly my expectations were reduced to zero.
If Ruvellis has a million haters, then I am one of them. if he has ten haters, then I am one of them. if he has only one hater then that is me. If Ruvellis has no haters, then that means i am no longer on earth. If the world loves Ruvellis, then i am against the world.
Since the storyline was cliche (an empress/queen being left and pushed to death because of being unfavored by her husband and the mistress), this story didn't stand out that much. There are too many plot holes and the story dragged too much. The second leads are given more spotlight than the male lead, so it's disappointing when you know that they will not be the ones who will end up with the female lead.
