Holy cow, I didn't realize this was the last one when I started reading it. It became apparent as so many of the loose ends started coming together and I began to realize this was it. I should have guessed considering the cover art but I didn't feel like that was more than a tease. This whole time I had been rooting for her other suitors. When Alendis fell through and broke my heart I was thoroughly convinced the perfect match was going to be Carsein. Despite it all, I kept thinking that the prince was the worst possible person for her to pair up with.
As I went deeper and deeper into the story told here, I realized that so much had been about healing and untwisting the terrible darkness that the original timeline had created. With everything coming to a head in this volume and the final missing pieces of the hidden plot revealed I found myself overwhelmed with a multitude of conflicting feelings. I tried explaining them to my husband and couldn't.
Find myself left satisfied with the overall story and yet wanting for more. I want to see my faves find their alternate happiness. I want Jiun to see a better future as well. I think the setting is quite charming and the side characters well worth their own story. I would be thrilled to see a cameo of our winning couple as an incidental background update, but I feel like their story has definitely reached a satisfying conclusion.
Oh Alendis, why did you have to disappear? I know you're suffering was intense but I still wanted to see you find your happy ending! Now all I do think about is your eternal suffering of bittersweetness. And poor Carsien, he never even got to say his feelings out loud. The flame snuffed out before it even got to glow. Why can't I see your happy ending?
If the author of ever reads these reviews, please consider a bonus volume or spin-off series for us who loved those who are left behind.
I’m disappointed in the ending. It’s like they ran out of money and crammed a bunch of stuff together at the end that’s like a 180 turn from the preceding 8 novels. I’m really not happy with how things turned out.
So the series is over and ultimately, I'm disappointed with how it ended. I knew that Arista and Ruve would end up together but the way it happened felt rushed and incomplete. I won't lie, I was rooting for Carsein to sweep Tia off her feet but that obviously didn't happen.
I know this is a different timeline, and that Ruve and Tia are essentially different people but after everything that Tia has done to avoid being with Ruve, I can't believe she folded like that, especially with how sudden her love was. I wanted Tia to stand on her own and succeed her father as a knight but we didn't even really get that. Once again a woman gave up her dream over a man, quitting what she wanted to do before she even really got very far.
There were a few unresolved things, especially concerning Tia's father and overall the last volume felt a little choppy, had larger time skips, and felt rushed.
The art is great and the covers are beautiful but this series will not be a keeper. Overall the story was fantastic, and I enjoyed it as a whole but the ending left me disappointed.

This may be the best part of the story so far with so many revelations and things coming together. Also glad to see this is not the last of the series so hopefully we will get to see at least some of the story progressing past these new vows and truths. It very well could have ended at this point, though it would be nice to see some happiness after all of this chaos. If it wasn't enough that Tia constantly seems to be a target, it seems Ruve is as well. Even Jieun turns out to not be entirely what was expected as we learn more about what happened to her before coming back in time, though it's doubtful she ever would have really believed Tia's claims that their paths have changed had she not been with Carsien when Tia was attacked. The only one we don't really seem to know about at this point is Allen, though he's rumored to have at least visited his family home a few times now, so he's still alive.

I really loved this series. I sat down and read it in a couple of hours. While I enjoyed the ending I felt that the story was very chopped up and strung together. There were a lot instances that I wasn't sure how the story was jumping around. It kind of felt like maybe the writer was not completely ready to end the series here but I'm not sure. I still enjoyed the main elements and the ending and I'm actually pretty sad that this is the last one. Although I would still recommend this series as a whole.
I feel like I’m being generous with four stars, but at the end of the day, even though I was generally okay with its ending, the promise of this series was ultimately disappointing. There was so much potential, but it felt at times that the author couldn’t decide on how they wanted the story to go, so this last volume was overfilled with plot and minimized storylines. The artwork, however, stayed stunning.
That being said, I can’t believe this was originally published in full color in a weekly format. No wonder!
Here it is the final volume, I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series. The story has been compelling, and the art is really good. There have been moments, especially in this final volume where the flow from chapter to chapter felt rushed, that it would have been better for another chapter between the two, but that's just a small thing. Overall a good read and a series I can see myself re-reading in the future.
1/25 Wasn't my favorite second chance fantasy series. Things got way too convoluted over too vast a time span and it became difficult to remember who was who and what exactly was going on. She also resisted her feelings past the point of comfort and I got disgusted - I was questioning if I wanted to continue the series until near the end I realized it was the last volume and was seriously relieved. Wish we'd had more closure with green hair, but ah well.
Since the storyline was cliche (an empress/queen being left and pushed to death because of being unfavored by her husband and the mistress), this story didn't stand out that much. There are too many plot holes and the story dragged too much. The second leads are given more spotlight than the male lead, so it's disappointing when you know that they will not be the ones who will end up with the female lead.
This has been one of my favorite graphic novels and Manhwa experiences. It was a little sad to see some of the English editing fall through the cracks due to was was likely a publishing rush but the story and artwork remained thoughtful and intricate it was a great story and I only wish the author was given more volumes for all the characters she made me enjoy so much
Very cute! I wish some of the plots were more fleshed out..and we saw Allen a bit more and his role with helping Tia. But I am okay with the character growth the main protags had. Very solid series imo.
What an amazing wrap up to a fantastic story. The art was a stunning and gorgeous as ever and I'm so sad there isn't more story to read. Though this was wrapped up beautifully, I still WANT more.
I didn't know this was the end!!! I feel like it jumped around a lot and tied up too many loose ends way too fast. I had to reread some parts because I felt like it skipped and I missed something. I guess the ending was to be expected if not ideal.
Crying in the cub over here because this is the finale.I really loved this series I believe that the storyline, the art style and the fact that it was an isekai was what captured me from the beginning. I loved seeing tias journeys over seeing her character development throughout.
I have so many unanswered questions and things that need closure. I started this series fully team Allendis and when that went down the toilet like a horse turd I jumped on the Carsein train.
ONLY FOR THEM TO GET LITERALLY NO CLOSURE. You cannot tell me the ending that Carsein and Aristia got was “closure” cuz it wasn’t. It made me feel delulu as fuck to the point where I was like, “did Carsein even love her in the first place?? He definitely did right?? Right?!”
But I’m thinking he had to have loved her since almost everyone who has read this series thinks they should’ve ended up together, and while I’ve forgiven Ruve for his misdoings, I still don’t support this couple.
Tia and Ruve were so…rushed. Like their ending felt like 100 mph on cruise control and I was doing 1 mph on my tricycle. I had no idea how we even got to them married because it felt so rushed.
The ending as a whole felt rushed, ESPECIALLY with Jieun’s story and Carsein. Like there are still so many unanswered questions with them, I really feel like the author just ran out of time and had to cut a bunch of stuff. We could’ve easily had at least one more volume to tie up Carsein and Jieun’s loose ends.
Allendis is also a loose end in my mind but I’m more willing to forgive that one because he was showing yandere symptoms and we as readers had to shut that down asap.
I’m not 100% disappointed in this ending, mostly because I saw it coming, but I don’t think it was necessarily a satisfying conclusion to an otherwise fantastic series. I truly think all the characters, especially Aristia, were well thought out and complete characters. Aristia was a cunning but kind protagonist that I enjoyed following. She was kind but also mildly selfish and conniving when she wanted to be and I like that in female characters. That’s also the reason I like Penelope from “Villains are Destined to Die”.
Idk how to end this but it was worth the read and I’ll happily reread this series again.
