I am not sure if the audience for this book is particularly large...this book details the very autobiographical experiences of an Armenian woman (fleeing war) in the dysfunctional, violent, poverty stricken and frankly racist reality of 1990s Moscow. Considering the very serious subject matter and time specific things Abgaryan is discussing, the fact that she manages to make this absolutely hilarious is a testament to her skill.
