The overwhelming question that arises, in brother Ahmed Deedat's book 鈥淚s the Bible God's word,鈥 is, how much of that book, is written by God, and how much is written by man? The Qur'an has never presented this same doubt, or confusion, there is a verse in the Qur'an, that speaks about how God, would guard the Qur'an from the corruption of mans hands, or mans mind. Most scholars agree to a man that the Qur'an, in fourteen centuries, is a pure, consistent and unadulterated text, can we say this about the Bible? Ahmed Deedat poses the question of the multiples versions of, and inconsistencies in, the Bible. It seems as though there is a Bible of the month club, a Bible to fit any group or situation, I'm not here to bash the Bible, for I do believe, there are parts of that book, that have not been corrupted, in it's allegorical style. I am not here to burst any Christians bubble , but it seems as though many are content to follow their faith blindly, Why is this? There are many verses in the Bible, that says eating or even touching pork is forbidden, Leviticus 11:7-8 And the pig, because it parts the hoof and is cloven-footed but does not chew the cud, is unclean to you. You shall not eat any of their flesh, and you shall not touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you. I have come to the conclusion, that for many of the Christian faith, one of the reasons they are glad to say they are Christians is because, it is an 鈥淓ASY FAITH,鈥 a faith that makes no demands on you, they don't have to fast, they can eat pork, and make their own rules, and the contributors or secret authors of the Bible have promoted their stamp of approval. ~ John Milton Lawrence

Deedat seems like a lightweight scholar. The argument seems to be the standard "quran is direct from god. not like your bible." as many have pointed out that kind of argument is a confession of faith not a logical proof of a proposition". for muslims who don't understand what i just said the argument can be restated as "the quran came directly from god". then you make some statements and present evidence to show this is a true statement. rather than quote sura to me let me answer ahead of time "you can't use the authority of a book that is the sole authority for your religion".
I admire this man & what he has done for the sake of Allah allmighty..... may his soul rest in peace.. i recommend all his books for those out there that are interested in religions and debates
