it's one of those simple novels that also carries profound meanings and messages. You cannot read it without linking the characters with real people from your life. it's very Jordanian, mentioning the places, the stories and the way of thinking, all are directly related to you in a way or another. what I loved about this book is that it made laugh at certain points and situations. the attention to details is amazing. it's also worth mentioning that my favorite chapter is "賲賮乇丨貙 賲亘賰鈥. I liked, actually loved the ending. I wouldn't like it if it ended in another way. One comment is that at certain places, I felt that some stories are injected into the main story. it's like the writer wanted to cover all Arab issues by mentioning a story about each one. The story would've been perfect even without doing that.
A very enjoyable read. I loved how much I could relate to the characters and their way of speaking. It's a genuine portrait to Amman and it's people. Although at a point I felt that some historical events were being cramped into the story line, then again Amman is influenced and changed continuously by events in it and around it.
