I don't know why this book is not much popular here! Actually bengali readers are less in number and most of them are unaware of the person. He was an renowned rabindrasangeet singer of his time and only he had the courage to sing the English translation of some songs at that time. The book is to open your eyes about the dictatorship prevailed at 1960s-70s in the field of rabindrasangeet in West Bengal. How the mediocre people ruled and were been ignorant about experiments with Tagore's song is very much evident in this book. A book that has an amazing power to make the readers stick with it until the last. My experience with this book is beautiful. One of the most soul touching books I have ever read.
