Kids from preschool through second grade will LOVE this silly story about a young boy whose vivid imagination goes into overdrive as he wonders why his classmates aren’t showing up to school each day. He eventually discovers they are not being taken or in harms way but rather they just caught a COLD. Uncertain what a COLD actually is, our hero sets out on an adventure to literally catch a COLD. I received this book free in exchange for an honest review.

How to Catch a Cold is a fun children's book about a school age boy who goes to school to find his classmate missing. He asks the teacher about his missing classmate and she informs him he "caught a cold". As more classmates go missing because they "caught a cold", he becomes determined to find this cold & catch it. This book is a very endearing story from a child's perspective of a common saying that we use often without always explaining. I love that Adam's stories show such an innocent child's view. I look forward to reading future works by this author!

When a young boy finds his classmates missing from school he learns from his teacher that they have caught a cold. Well this little boy wants in on what this COLD is. He sets out to catch this bad guy where ever he maybe. Little does he know that the COLD isn't far behind him. The illustrations rock they so great. The story is great for anyone who suffers a COLD and can appreciate the hero's adventure. My kids thought this was funny when the hero tries to catch a COLD cause they know you can't catch it like a butterfly!

Great book! In this fun rhyming picture book a little boy is out to solve the mystery of what has been keeping his friends home from school... he must hunt down a cold! Book has appropriately challenging vocabulary, and humor for kids and parents alike. Plus, boogers and bird poop, both of which amused my 3yo and 6yo to no end, as it will yours! Enjoy!

Nice Story of being a quiet Hero.

The art and story are well done. The little boy is driven by the doublespeak of adults. To catch a cold becomes an adventure. Rushing to help his friends as they disappear from the class sick, he desperately tries to catch what is making his friends ill.

How to Catch a Cold and How to Fight a Cold are delightfully humorous tales of a little boy's literal perception of common everyday terms.

In How to Catch a Cold a little boy wonders why so many of his classmates are missing from school. His imagination gets the best of him and he believes they are being held captive by an angry mole or were poisoned by a witch, but when he learns they have all "caught a cold" he sets out to do the same thing.

Due to the success of his previous mission in the first book, the little boy's saga continues when he finds himself sick in bed with instructions from his mom to "fight the cold." And so, in How to Fight a Cold, his new quest begins.

Told in rhyme, I found each of these stories to be cleverly written and highly entertaining. Young readers will get a kick out of the main characters creative cold finding and fighting outfits and his methods will make them laugh. I also, enjoyed the bold and detailed illustrations which add to the comical nature of each book. These books are sure to become some of your preschooler's favorites.

I highly recommend picking up How to Catch a Cold and How to Fight a Cold.

This is a great book to learn about germs and the importance of washing hands! Seeing as kiddos spread so many germs, this book could be beneficial in a classroom as a reminder to be cautious and hygienic.
