Its basically a Bengali folk lore written beautifully by Abanindra Nath Thakur. A king with two queens "Suo Rani" and "Duo Rani". Suo Rani is the lucky one. King loves her. "Duo Rani" is deserted. The King sets out for a voyage and comes back with a lot of precious presents for his dearie but for Duo Rani he brings a mystic Monkey. How this monkey helps Duo Rani to get back not only her lost love but also her fortune. When I was a kid it was a coveted book for me.I read it to daughter and she simply loved it.
