Very encouraging; challenging exhortations! In this book we are beside the Lord Jesus on His way to Golgotha, the tomb, and to Gehenna, where he frees souls there. He also speaks of penal substitution which the Eastern Orthodox Church does not accept. God the Father so loved the world (John 3:16); we do not believe He Is angry at sinners. The matter of justice is worth consideration, but not in the form of placating wrath, we believe. But in every other way these contemplations are most valuable for a Christian during Holy Week.
