USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.
Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.
In 1997, with ten sales under her belt to two publishers, Stephanie left her corporate job to write women’s romantic fiction full-time. In 2011,
Stephanie launched a self-publishing business. Since that time, she has sold more than 1 million copies of her own books. To-date, Stephanie has published over 70 novels and has over 6 million copies of her work in worldwide distribution in numerous languages and formats.
This kindle e-book novella is from my Kindle Unlimited account book one of six.
It has been a time since I listened to Stephanie Bond and I enjoyed the first book in the series.
Comfort is working in New York City when she gets notice of her aunts death. On coming back to Georgia she learns that her aunt has left her the aunt's estate. Comfort's mother wants her to sell the property. Comfort is working on straightening things out. At the same time she is making friends and enjoying some of the job. Then she uncovered something that makes her wonder if her aunt was murdered? Continued in the next book.
I would recommend this series to readers of romantic family and friends relationship adventure mystery novels.2024 👒 🤔🤗🐕
Another great series!! I love Stephanie Bond's serials and was so excited to see another one come out before the holiday. I waited to read all of it over the course of a couple of days during my holiday break and as usual, I was hooked from the very first part. Can't wait for the next set!
Part 1 of Holiday Girl was great. Can't wait to dig into the rest. I love all of Stephanie's work, but her serials are great. A lot of people read them daily as each day is released. I enjoy waiting until the month of Dec to start so I can devour the entire story. Since Holiday Girl is about the holiday's, starting in Dec make it that much better. Stephanie NEVER disappoints.
I love Stephanie Bond's daily serials! The story is divided into 6 books with a month for each book. Comfort Ann Joy lives in NYC but her Aunt dies and she inherited a Christmas Shop. The shop is having financial problems and Comfort (Comfy) has to figure it all out. There is family, friendship, murder, and humor which makes reading thus fun! #HolidayGirl. @StephanieBond.
Comfort loses her intern job and gets a call from her mother that her Aunt has died in Georgia. She flies down for the funeral and finds out her Aunt has left her the Christmas store and the apartment over it. As she starts to dig into it she finds the business is in the red. An easy reading story.
I'm so excited that Bond has a new series. The main character has a kooky name and big dreams but her aunts death sends her in a new direction. Now I have to wait until August----aghhhhh
I love Stephanie Bond’s “soap opera series! Each one holds a unique charm and Holiday Girl delivers. As always she leaves us hanging for the next installment. How can you not love a good Christmas story😃
Here we go again with another fun serial from Stephanie! Jack Terry and Prissy have already made a “cameo. Can’t wait for the next installment. As another reader said on a review of Elevator Gril, and I agree totally, Stephanie never disappoints.
Over the years. I’ve fallen in love with these daily serials. They are always fun, and entertaining. And I can tell this is going to be another good one.
Love the daily serial books. So easy to read and always entertaining. Recommend all her serials. Reading a day at a time is a perfect way to break up a book opposed to a long chapter.
Stephanie Bond books are always great reads. I have read all of her books and have loved them all, Holiday Girl is no exception. It keeps you interested from a first page!
A fun, easy quick read, mixed with a bit of holiday feel and a sprinkle of humor. I would recommend for anyone, especially those who love a little Christmas in July theme.
I always find something in common with Bond's characters. This one is no exception. Start with her name. Genius. I picture one of my friends when I see Comfort. I have no idea where this plot is going, but I'm along for the ride, especially if it's on Santa's Sleigh.
Stephanie Bond has become one of my favorite authors so I decided to try this series by her. It starts off with an oddly named young woman, Comfort. and her drive to become a fashion designer.
She was even on a fashion show but came in second. She goes to work in a fashion place but is treated badly. The focus changes when her aunt dies and ends up leaving her a Christmas store that her aunt ran.
There are problems for her there, though and she finds out something about her aunt's death.
The book does a good job of introducing the characters and setting up a scenario that will definitely lead to more interesting developments in her life.
Having started Graveyard Girl and am waiting anxiously for part 4, I decided to check out another serial and am so glad I did! Only having read part one, I'm already invested in this storyline and can't wait to read part 2. I think Comfort Ann Joy and I are going to be bffs in my head very quickly.
I enjoy mostly everything Stephanie Bond writes. And it was just last year I found the serial books which keep a good storyline only addict me further. Since we are in the holiday season and I have been home sick. I bought this entire series. If I have to be in bed, I might as well have a story that is keeping me in suspense with some laughs also.
I loved the way this book ended, I’m into all mystery books like this one. I will continue to read all of her books. I’ve already read the Elevator books in order. Keep these books coming. There very exciting to read and not know really what’s going to happen next or in the next book to follow.
