One of the best series I have ever read! I can't believe that this is the last book! I'm going to miss all the characters! I don't know how but Kylie Scott managed to make me feel so connected with these characters and I'll always have them in my heart!! I really enjoyed this one! I started it and I couldn't put it down! So good! This was a sexy and funny romance!I honestly couldn't wait for Ben's story! He was a mystery to me and I wanted to know more about him!
Lizzy is Anne's sister and Mal's sister in law so for Ben she is off limits. But Lizzy can't resist the irresistible sexy drummer! She has a crush on him and she will not stop until she had him!So when she finds the opportunity, she gets his number and start texting messages with him.Through the texts they develop a friendship with sexual tension. But Ben insists that they must stay friends and nothing more...

One night in Vegas will change their lives..Lizzy is now pregnant and when Ben learning about this at the beginning he freaks out.Lizzy doesn't expect a lot from him but she hopes that maybe something can change..Ben wants her near him to know she is ok so she follows the group on their tour.
Can they manage to find a way to be together as friends or as something more?

description

I loved Lizzy!!She is sassy, funny and strong!Definitely one of the best in the series!!And Ben, this sexy mystery guy, I loved him!!I loved his concern for Lizzy especially since he never wanted to be a father because he liked the way he was.And I can understand it however in the beginning he was a little jerk! But when he clearly saw what he wanted he become sweet and protected!

description

I loved how the story set up with us see how things are now and before how Ben and Lizzy met!!One more thing that I loved this book is that we still can see the others and believe it was so nice!!Mal is still the same amazing guy that I fell in love in Play!!He and Anne are hilarious! And I loved that he cared for Lizzy, his little sister in law. And Jimmy with Lena...wow it was nice to see them and they have a surprise!! But apart from them we see Ev and David and Martha...yes yes she is back!

I'm officially a groupie of Stage Dive and I highly recommend this series to anyone who wants to read funny and sexy books!!Now I'm more eager for the new series Dive Bar!!The sexy redhead Vaughn intrigued me and now I want to know more about him!!!

4 stars!

I love the Stage Dive series. I love how this band is like a family. I think Kylie鈥檚 writing is fresh and fun and I love the characters she comes up with. This is the fourth and final book of the Stage Dive series, and honestly, I鈥檓 sad to see i it end. These books make me laugh out loud, but they also have many heartwarming and steamy moments. They really are the total package.

Lizzy Rollin鈥檚 older sister is hopelessly in love with Stage Dive member Mal. So Lizzy has got to know the band pretty well. And she has fallen herself鈥 for the sexy bearded bass player, Ben.

Ben tries to stay away from Lizzy. These two just 鈥榗lick鈥 but he鈥檚 been warned off. Mal is one of his best friends, and Lizzy is like a little sister to him. He can only fight her so long. One night it happens. One time. But one time is all it takes.

So thats where the story starts. Lizzy is pregnant and the baby is Ben鈥檚. I really wish I could say that there story was sweet, romantic and easy, but it鈥檚 not. It鈥檚 complicated. It鈥檚 a rough road. Ben isn鈥檛 sure if he鈥檚 ready for all this. He鈥檚 never wanted this for his life. Lizzy isn鈥檛 sure if she鈥檚 ready either, but she doesn't鈥 have much of a choice.

There is a lot of push and pull between Ben and Lizzy. A lot of back and forth and I have to say there were lots and lots of moments that Ben really peeved me off. Did I love him by the end, of course I did鈥. but during鈥 not so much. I wanted to, but every time I would get close to getting those feels for Ben he would do something or say something that just pushed my buttons.

But I did love the beard. I am a sucker for the beards and the tattoos and the jerky guys so鈥

Even though I obviously had my Ben issues, I completely and utterly ADORED Lizzy. In fact, Lizzy may be her best heroine yet. I can鈥檛 tell you how many times she made me laugh. She was understanding with Ben, but she also didn鈥檛 put up with his crap. She had a backbone and she was doing what she had to do with or without him.

Lizzy鈥檚 heart wants him, and she鈥檚 obviously crazy attracted to him. Ben is irresistible to her. You can just feel the attraction between them. No matter where they were in their story, you could always feel that connection they had.

I absolutely loved catching up with the rest of the Stage Dive crew. Jimmy is and will always be my favorite man in this series. I love him so hard鈥 but I have to say, Mal kind of stole the show in this book. He鈥檚 up to all his crazy antics and kept me rolling with laughter. I loved how much he loves Annie (and Lizzy) and seeing him as a big brother figure was just a treat!

Deep had a bit of a forbidden love aspect, it had some drama, laughs and tears. The ending was everything I hoped for and love from a Stage Dive novel. I loved catching up with the band and really enjoyed the epilogue!

***Spoilery***

I find myself struggling on my rating with this one.

Now, that might just be due to the fact that I cracked this baby open at 12am...and finished it at 3am...when I had to be up at 4am, but...WHATEVS!

description

I liked it, don't get me wrong.

But it felt a little...formulaic in the sense that I felt like I was reading a mash-up of all the installments preceding this one.

Ben - who I quite honestly felt like I never really got to know (seriously, he was barely a blip on the pages of the previous books and, quite frankly, we didn't get to know him any better in this one) - was like a watered down version of Jimmy.

But without the drug/alcohol addiction and an interesting back story.

And a personality in general, really.

description

And Lizzy?

She was like a watered down version of Mal.

But female. And pregnant.

And with seemingly no purpose but to quit school and follow the band around while waiting for Ben to...what exactly?

Oh yeah, decide he really loves her and wants to be with her...based on one car ride, one slam-bam-thank-you-ma'am, and a long string of text messages interspersed with the occasional phone call.

description

Now don't get me wrong, I thought their little textual relationship was cute and all, I just would have preferred a little more...relationship building in between the "OMG I'm Pregnant" and the "OMG I love you," a run-around which, by the way, seemed to take FOR-fucking-EVER despite the fact that nothing much seemed to happen in the interim.

description

Oh, and Martha, the plot device Ben's heinous sister bitch makes an appearance.

description

Because DRAMA.

Like I said, I liked this book well enough. I just would have loved it if we got to know Ben a little more...maybe his and Lizzy's relationship - and thus the story - might of felt a little more developed then too.

Needless to say, I was a little disappointed...

description

...but I still love this series.

This was just probably my least favorite.

鈥漇o I鈥檇 been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal.鈥

description

To my utter heartbreak, this is the last book of this fun series. I was super excited to read about Ben, the bearded bass guitarist and Kylie Scott definitely delivered an entertaining story. The whole gang plays a part in this story but for me, Liz made this book. With best supporting character award going to Mal, loved him in this one!

Liz was relatable, lovable, hilarious and my favorite heroine of the series. Ben on the other hand was a hottie of few words and at times I wished his pov was included. However, Ben was realistic, his actions throughout the story were totally believable and I鈥檓 thinking on asking my husband to grow a beard of his own.

Liz and Ben have an instant attraction but Mal鈥檚 warning to stay away really holds weight with Ben. Liz starts texting him and the two form a friendship with the friend line continually mentioned by Ben. They keep their friendship a secret and after one hot night things drastically change. However, Ben really loves his life the way it is. He loves the music and his freedom and he handles things with Liz pretty realistically. Sadly, he wasn't the dreamy knight that the other members were it took him awhile to get there.

鈥滶ach time he chose to not take things further with me, it hurt.鈥

I just wish that the story was a bit longer and had more of them as an actual couple because it felt like it wrapped up a tad too quickly. Still I enjoyed Ben, Liz and Bean nonetheless.

鈥漇weetheart, you can have whatever the fuck you want, I promise. Whatever you need. No more holding back. No more fear.鈥

Ben lives for music. He doesn鈥檛 want commitment, he doesn鈥檛 a family, and he doesn鈥檛 want to settle. He just want to travel the world without chains, with his music. The first girl that ever leaves a mark on him is Lizzy, but since she is the sister-in-law of his friend and band mate, he keeps her at arm鈥檚 length. Until one night in Vegas changes everything鈥 and this time what happened in Vegas doesn't stay there.

Despite being in love with Ben for a while, an expected pregnancy from a one-night-stand isn鈥檛 exactly news that Lizzy welcomes easily. Especially because she believes Ben will never feel the same for her as she feels for him. But now, together on tour and with the prospect of a child together they are forced to acknowledge the feelings between them.
But how does Lizzy shows Ben that sometimes what you need, is right in front of you?

description

I鈥檝e said before that this is probably one of the best rock-star series of the moment. The storylines are strong and we have sexy heroes and nice heroines. Unfortunately, for me, this was the weakest book of the series. I normally love the 鈥渦nexpected pregnancy鈥 plot so I was rather anxious to reading this, but in the end of it I just felt underwhelmed. It was sweet, sexy and engaging. It had its funny remarks. It was very well written. But something just didn't click for me. Not only it was the main couple (see below) but also the way their relationship progressed: they basically went from texts, to one night stand, to pregnancy, to texts again, to 鈥業 love you鈥. Despite the texts had been sweet, the process of them falling in love (especially Ben) didn't felt completely real for me. I needed more dynamic between them... a slightly more realistic approach to the pregnancy issue. (But this is probably just an itch of mine, so don't take it too serious.)
However, if you love a good rock-stars book鈥 you can鈥檛 miss this series!!

Rating: 3 Stars.
Characters Development: My main problem with this book was precisely the heroes. (In fact, except for the last book where I loved Jimmy, I had trouble with all the MC鈥檚). Lizzie was a little immature, and I get it, you鈥檙e a college girl who just found out to be pregnant, and that can be shocking. But you鈥檙e definitely old enough to have a little more self-respect than to wait for a guy to change his mind about commitment. Even if said guy is your baby鈥檚 daddy. And Ben? Well, after the 70% mark I started to really like him, but until that point he was either an asshole or he was鈥 just there. At some moments it almost looked like he was a supporting character rather than the hero. I didn鈥檛 understand all the need for Ben鈥檚 sister drama鈥 opening a plot for the next book maybe? However, it was nice to see more of the others and how their lives have been progressing.
Steam: Some hot scenes.

So I'd been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal.

Nothing can ruin a dinner party quicker than a random pregnancy announcement...especially when it's yours...and the guy that knocked you up is the sexy bearded bassist for a rock band that also happens to be a commitment phobe. Oh and said pregnancy is the result of one stolen night together that really wasn't supposed to happen and said bassist hasn't talked to you since. Suffice it to say that Lizzy Rollins is having one hell of a week.
Also, wow, if this was the result of having great sex then I was so never going there again. Not even for mediocre sex. Nothing. I might even rule out masturbation, just in case. You couldn't be too careful. Random attack sperm could be anywhere, just waiting to get a girl in trouble.

Got your attention now, don't I? Good :)

I've been a huge fan of this series since the very first book. Whenever I need a feel good, lighthearted, sexy and laugh out loud rockstar romance, this has been my go-to. Every book has been unique in it's own right, and I just knew that Ben's story was going to be a good one ever since we first met him in . If you've read Lick, you don't get the best impression of him there. I gotta warn you, he will have even bigger dick moments in this book. But boy oh boy you will also find yourself falling hard for the bearded sex machine right along Lizzy.
Dreamy dark eyes pinned me in place, owning me. He licked his lips. Every time he did that my hormones erupted into the song of joy, a full orchestra plus heavenly choir accompanying. The whole shebang. It was ridiculous.

While the situation in this book and the back and forth between Lizzy and Ben may have driven me crazy in any other book, the saving grace here is the laugh out loud humor. I couldn't get enough of Lizzy's inner monologue. Between Mal's random appearances and the rest of the Stage Dive crew, it was non-stop fun. Ultimately I have to say it was really Lizzy that stole the show here though.
Goodness, did he look angry. Between the beard and the expression on his face, he looked downright barbaric. He might as well be dressed in furs and carrying a spear, presenting me with the boar he'd caught for dinner. Ah, good old-fashioned Stone Age romance.

Lizzy is Anne's younger sister, and ever since she met Ben through her relationship with Mal, Lizzy has been enraptured with him. But Ben also knows that Lizzy is hands off for him. Not only did he get warned off by Mal, he's not the relationship type and knows he can't give her what she wants. But that doesn't stop Lizzy's feelings or her pursuing of him. What begins as innocent texting soon begins to turn into something much more. Until one night where they both throw caution to the wind and finally give into the inevitable.

Unfortunately for Lizzy, Ben seems to have some super sperm. So what should have been one night comes with much bigger repercussions. Now they're forced to deal with a pregnancy, a rock star that never sees himself getting married, raging pregnancy hormones, and did I mention the raging pregnancy hormones?
A wounded heart was apparently no competition for an overeager vagina. The urge for sperm made no sense. I already had a baby on board. My tart, attention-seeking nipples stood out loud and proud beneath my top, just begging for his lips. The situation between my legs wasn't any better.

I can't tell you how much I loved the banter between Lizzy and pretty much every other character including Ben. Even though I did find myself wanting to reach through my kindle and beat the neanderthal with a blunt object at times, Lizzy's inner thoughts really lightened that up. The chemistry between her and Ben was electric. I couldn't get enough of it.
Without comment he sat up, grabbing the back of his button-down shirt and pulling it over his head. His chest was so pretty. So hard and big and stuff, it made my IQ drop to my shoe size. Everything about him did. The bearded sex machine turned me into a stuttering fool. Sad but true.

This was such a bittersweet book for me to read because as much as I enjoyed it, I was so sad to see it come to an end. I really hope that Kylie will give us a spin-off and hopefully we won't be seeing the last of Vaughn.

This was a sexy, laugh-out-loud, and entertaining as all get out romance. I definitely recommend it for all fans of rockstar romance.

If you loved the rest of this series, than you are definitely going to love this one. I'd highly recommend reading the series in order to truly appreciate all the characters and really enjoy it, though you could read it as a standalone.

Deep is book 4 and, I believe, the final instalment of the Stage Dive series. Despite this, it works perfectly well as a standalone so don't be worried if you haven't read the first three, although I can highly recommend them.

What we've come to expect from a Kylie Scott Stage Dive novel is an entertaining, feel-good romance loaded with her trademark humour and wit and Deep is most definitely maintaining that trend. It's a beautiful contemporary romance to binge read in one sitting with a big ole goofy grin on your face.

It actually reminded me a little of Lick, the first book of the series whereby the central couple are thrown together by an unexpected event and work out their relationship from this moment on. In Lick, it was a drunken marriage in Vegas, in Deep, we have an unplanned pregnancy after just one night together.

So, it's finally Ben's turn to succumb to his forever girl and he knocks up Lizzy, who is Mal's wife's little sister, during a one night stand despite promising Mal faithfully to leave her well alone. Mal is not going to be a happy hyperactive bunny!

I'd been dying to read Ben's story all through the series. For me, he's been a bit of a challenging soul over the previous books and I was eager to see how he measured up as hero material and he definitely didn't disappoint. Despite his scandalous reputation, he's actually quite noble and tries to do the right thing by Lizzy at every juncture. He's brooding, sexy, kinda commitment-phobic but ultimately very likeable and easy to warm to.

Lizzy also makes for a great heroine - someone we the readers can truly identify with. She's by no means perfect and her inner thoughts make her feel like a friend, rather than a book heroine. It's very easy to put yourself in her position and ride the emotional ups and downs right along with her.

Ultimately, Deep is a highly entertaining, light contemporary romance which I read with a bit of a sappy smile on my face. It's frothy, funny, sweet and sexy without too much angst going on and plenty of feel-good moments throughout the book.

For fans of the series, we get plenty of our favourite characters with revelations for them all and, of course, Mal is back in all his hyper-active glory, mad as a box of cut snakes at Ben for knocking up Lizzy, who he sees as his little sister.

There's a lovely epilogue to get you sighing happily that rounds it all off and completes their story and fans of the series will, I think, adore this one.

4 entertaining stars

4 the bearded wonder stars!

Kylie Scott's Stage Dive series is probably my favorite rock star series of all time. Every time she releases a book for each member of the band, I can't help but fall more and more deeper in love with the characters and their journey to HEA.

Lizzy Rollins has left her wild teenage years behind. Since then she has been nothing but a good and supportive sister to Anne, and a good student. Then she meets Ben Nicholson, Stage Dive's laid back bass player, and suddenly, Lizzy found herself in the throes of infatuation with Ben.

Despite being warned against pursuing Lizzy, Ben strikes a rapport with her and they started texting each other. Then Lizzy found out that Ben wasn't really into her as much as she's into Ben, which became one of the sources of angst in the book. But the attraction is still there and it all comes to a head during Mal and Anne's wedding. A few weeks later...Lizzy found out she's pregnant.

Cue angst.

Just kidding. Although I'm not really because yes, there is a bit of angst here but it's not overwhelming. It's mostly because of Ben who I wanted to hit upside in the head for the better part of the book. The humor and characterization balances out the angst perfectly. Even during some of the more heart-wrenching moments, Kylie Scott still made me burst out laughing.

I loved Lizzy. This author really writes great heroines and I love her for it. Lizzy, just like all her other heroines in this series, is funny and self-deprecating and relatable. Don't get me wrong, she isn't at all perfect but I really liked her. I loved her relationship with Anne and Mal and the rest of the band.

Ben...well, let's just say, it took me awhile to warm up to him. He's as fine as the rest of the guys but his fear and the way he kept reneging on his promise to Lizzy wasn't my favorite part of the book. He did get better though and once he got his head out of his ass and got his act together, he was as swoony as the rest of the guys. I just wanted more togetherness between him and Lizzy.

Despite that, I really enjoyed this one. And finally, we got to see the band in action on the road. And that epilogue was really sweet. It was wonderful to catch with other couples as well. I love, love Jimmy and Lena -- actually I loved all of them that I am begging -- BEGGING -- Kylie Scott to write an extended epilogue for all the couples. I want more Ev and David, Mal and Anne, Ben and Lizzy and of course, Jimmy and Lena. Me want more. Make it happen, Ms. Scott.

4 stars!

These books are hands down my favorite rock star series! I'm so bummed it's over.

This last installment (cries) is the story of the Stage Dive bass player Ben and Mal鈥檚 sister-in-law Lizzy. Lizzy is a young college student who worked hard to get where she is at, along with her sister Anne鈥檚 help. When Anne and Mal began seeing each other, Lizzy met Ben and developed an immediate crush on him. Ben has been warned away from Lizzy by Mal, but this doesn鈥檛 stop Lizzy from pursuing Ben on her own. Obtaining his cell phone number, Lizzy and Ben strike up a friendly rapport, with sexual tension in the subtext, but Ben insists that they must remain friends. Over time, feelings develop and grow stronger until one night between them changes everything.

This book begins with Lizzy discovering she is pregnant, and shows us their story in flashbacks. Once Ben discovers he is about to be a father he completely freaks out, claiming that he never expected to have a family and that he was too ingrained in the rock and roll lifestyle to be a good father. Lizzy, having chased him around for months doesn鈥檛 expect much from Ben, but hopes that he can open himself up to her. Ben invites Lizzy on tour with him so she can be near while she鈥檚 pregnant, but it leads to uncomfortable situations for everyone.

I love the Stage Dive series. Kylie Scott has done an amazing job as an author delivering to us original, unique stories with different plot lines in each installment. Lick was very serious and angsty, Play was funny and playful, Lead was about fighting your demons, and Deep is about accepting what comes to you and knowing you deserve to be loved.

I honestly love the books the most in the order in which they were released. First book is my favorite and so on, making Deep my least favorite of the series, but still a fantastic ending for these characters. I guess the reason I didn鈥檛 love it as much as the others was I had a difficult time with Ben and where he was coming from. There was so much frickin whiplash from him towards Lizzy and there were times I wanted to reach in the book, smack him and tell him to wake up and see the amazing woman he landed! Lizzy is what saved their romance for me because she saw Ben for who he was, and she never wanted to change him. She just wanted a spot in his life and to love him for him.

I loved that we got a taste of all of the couple in this one, like Jimmy and Lena and a glimpse at their future. Anne being the sister meant that we got a bit more Mal in this book (yay!!!), and a little bit of Eve and David too. There was a surprise plot bomb dropped in this book was Martha, and I鈥檇 really like to get some answers on that! Maybe a novella or a spin off book please? I also wished this book was longer than it was. But maybe I鈥檓 just selfish.

"Good girls don't fall for rock stars."

Oh man. These rock stars rock my world. is the last installment of Stage Dive series and I couldn't help but feel a little bit sad because all the characters (David, Ev, Mal, Anne, Jimmy, Lena, Ben, and Lizzy) have grown on me. How can I not?

In Deep, we finally get to have the story of Ben Nicholson, Stage Dive's bass player, and Elizabeth "Lizzy" Rollins, Anne's sister. Ever since Lizzy set her eyes on Ben, she has been crushing and sort of 'obsessing' over him. To the point where she texted him and basically flirted with him. Much as Ben tried, he wasn't able to resist Lizzy so he flirted her back in secret. But because Mal warned him to stay away from Lizzy, and because there was a huge gap between their age, he tried to ignore her-- to no avail. One night in Vegas though, the two of them had a drunken sex which later on resulted to Lizzy's pregnancy.

"So I'd been knocked up by a rock star. Big time."

I love unexpected pregnancy love stories. These tropes are my weakness, so I wasn't surprised when I found myself so smitten with this book. Apart from Lizzy's entertaining POV which made me crack up every time, I also enjoyed the push-and-pull relationship between her and Ben. It was sweet in a way that swoons and sort of frustrates you at the same. Their story wasn't built to be perfect as each of them has flaws (especially Ben who acted immaturely in the first half of the book). But I loved how both of them became well-developed characters in the end. Especially how Ben's principles in life slowly changed as he got to know Liz and shared a complicated relationship with her.

Yes, there were lots of bumps in the road for them but those things gave them the opportunity to explore their feelings. I also loved how the other Stage Dive characters helped them figure out their issues. (Let's not forget Sam who's always been there haha!) These characters are literally SQUAD GOALS!

The ending was of course, a joy to read. All of them have their piece of happy endings and I loved it. I just felt kind of emotional because the series already ended. I am looking forward to reading more books, though. :)

It's Live:

Stage Dive series has some of the best opening scenes. I love in book one, 'Lick', when Ev wakes up after her 21st birthday to find out she鈥檚 married to a rockstar and she can鈥檛 remember the previous night. Deep doesn鈥檛 disappoint in having a great opening scene... like the blurb mentions Lizzy finds out she鈥檚 pregnant from a rockstar.

description

YES! We finally learn about the mysterious, Ben, of Stage Dive. He鈥檚 the quiet one who is always running off whenever he is in a scene in the previous books. Especially in Jimmy鈥檚 book (#3). The one scene that stuck out in my mind from that book left me curious to what was up with Ben. It took place when Jimmy set Ben & Lena up on a date and he tagged along to give dating advice. The whole situation was actually pretty funny. But in the middle of the date Ben gets a text and he takes off. Well, now, in this book, we know what the text was about and why he ran off. Mystery solved!

Ben may be older than Lizzy but his maturity level on becoming a father makes him emotionally younger than Lizzy. He had never planned on being a father and now that it鈥檚 a reality he鈥檚 faced with what role he鈥檒l play in this child鈥檚 life.

description

An aspect I like in rockstar, mc, and college genre books is when the heroine makes the hero jealous. It seems genre appropriate and DEEP has some moments where I was cheering for these scenes.

I'm sad that this is the end of the road for the four band members because these books were extremely entertaining. Even though this series is complete every time I head to Portland I'm going to be searching for a Stage Dive concert or a band member hanging out at VooDoo doughnuts.

"Good girls don't fall for rock stars. It just isn't done."

As much as I was happy to reunite with my Stage Dive boys, I still went in with a heavy heart as this book would mark the end of this amazing series :( Every book in the series had been an all-round entertaining read with humorous characters that I've grown attached to and with Deep, we have finally made it to Ben Nicholson, the remaining member of the band aka bearded bassist who still needed his own HEA.

With Kylie Scott, you can usually expect your read to start off a little differently and right off the first page, you'll be hit headfirst with a pregnancy revelation from our heroine this time around, Lizzy Rollins. If the name doesn't ring a bell just yet, she's the little sister of Anne who's now with Mal. Throw in the fact that the surprise bomb is dropped at the entire band's dinner, there was going to be one helluva explanation.

"So I鈥檇 been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal."

And so the story goes back to how Liz and Ben first met. Although it was mostly Liz's infatuation with Ben that sparked up their friendship, I still really enjoyed how it all progressed. Despite Mal & Anne warning attempts of them ever hooking up, they bonded over their casual secret texting and calling.

However reality came crashing down on Liz when she eventually realized that her infatuation wasn't reciprocated by Ben as much as she hoped for. With a broken heart, Liz tried to move on but bumping into Ben again at Mal & Anne's wedding reignited the undeniable attraction stirring between them and that's how the inevitable happened.

I think what sets this read apart in the series was that Liz & Ben's journey focused a lot on them moving forward with the pregnancy news, whatmore with their undefined relationship at that point of time. They weren't a couple but they were about to be parents, so there was a lot of struggling between these two. It does make up for some good angst as Ben proves to be pretty frustrating at times and I wanted to smash his head in for some of his actions. But once Ben started coming around and fixing up his act, I was more than happy to watch this couple get their HEA very soon.

What I probably loved most about this one is Liz's character and I can easily say that Kylie Scott surely writes some of best heroines I've read. Her heroines are easily relatable, they're spunky and also mostly ballsy which are my absolute favorites. There was a certain tenacity in Liz that had me rooting for her throughout and my heart ached for her with as she struggled between her pregnancy and her feelings for Ben.

鈥淭his guy and me, we were doomed from the start.鈥

Coupled up with your ever-loving side characters (especially Mal!) that brought out the laugh-out loud moments, Deep was a well-balanced read that kept me entertained while still managing to induce some heart-squeezing scenes that was brought on by the angst. Although I wished there were more moments of Liz & Ben as an actual couple, I still enjoyed this one!

With the series reaching its end, I'm really hoping we'll get an extended epilogue for each couple because honestly, I'm just not ready to say goodbye to all of my favorite rockstars just yet ;)

Deep is the fourth book in the Stage Dive series and while it can be read as a standalone, I would highly recommend for the series to be read in order.

Dear Ben,

I wanted to write you a heart felt letter and just say that: I love you! EDITI know I have to wait until March when we can really be together and that's going to be really hard... but I love you, so I'll wait until 12 March's from now if I had too. I just wanted you to know this, and that...

Sincerely,

~Kristin

Lizzy Rollins has been besotted with Bassist Ben Nicholson from the moment she set eyes on him. Not the flirty kind of feelings to gain a man's attention; the bone deep kind. Being affiliated with the band makes her totally off limits.

I hadn鈥檛 had many definites in my life. But him, us, whatever this was, it was one. It had to be.

Ben is a laidback dude from humble beginnings. With his hard earned career and fortune, frankly he's loving his uncomplicated lifestyle. Regardless if he is attracted and charmed by Lizzy, it couldn't work. And when you continue to push someone away, it might just work.

鈥淚 think you were a little bored, a little lonely maybe, so you played with me.鈥

Lizzy tried to keep away, however an unplanned pregnancy certainly changes the narrative. Ben might not be relationship or daddy material but he thinks he can give it ago. Till he fucks it up over and over.

It takes awhile for them to click. While Lizzy makes no demands and exudes a lot of patience, I actually appreciated Ben's fuckups. Cos when put into perspective, it's one big mess that neither were looking for. Eventually they make headway.

What a way to end the Stage Dive series. I went in with my own thoughts as to how Deep would play out, but I think it turned out better. I adored Ben and I was relieved that Lizzy was more sensible versus neurotic. I initially had this presumption she would be a teen stalker. Fortunately not!! These two were darling together. They just needed time to get on to the same page. 馃挋馃獣

Deep is the book for the 4th Stage Dive member. I鈥檓 saying 4th member, because I can barely remember the Hero鈥檚 name. For the sake of using names to not say Hero all the time, let鈥檚 say the name is Bert (H) (i鈥檓 too lazy to open the book again to check, also too lazy to click on the blurb to find out) and the heroine鈥檚 name is Lisa? Lia? Liz? Let鈥檚 go with Liz (h) that sounds about right.

Two characters that were already introduced in previous books and how much do I care about them? Nada. How much do I care about them now after I鈥檝e read their book? Still nada, since I can鈥檛 even remember their names.

Bert and Liz were just the blandest characters. It doesn鈥檛 help that Deep had some of my least favorite tropes like accidental pregnancy, player Hero, commitment-phobe Hero all at once. I can鈥檛 remember the main characters names, but guess who鈥檚 name I didn鈥檛 forget? Their baby 鈥楪ibson Thunderbird Rollins-Nicholson鈥, the only reason why I didn鈥檛 forget that name is, because it was following me into my dreams and I prayed for the baby to not get bullied in school, just because he was named after his father's fav bass. 馃檱馃徎鈥嶁檧锔

鈥淗ell of a fucking coincidence,鈥 said Jim, adding more baked salmon and broccoli to Lena鈥檚 plate. 鈥淭hanks, babe.鈥 She dove right in. It was beautiful, the way he paid such keen attention to her. The woman was clearly his world. Lena had no sooner looked at something than he was serving it up. She shifted in her seat and he ran for more cushions. A queen couldn鈥檛 have been treated better.

We got JimmyLena pregnancy grumps 馃ズ听look how attentive Jimmy is aww 馃ズ馃ズ听two stars are for all the crumbs we got from the other couples like JimmyLena pregnancy or MalAnne being crazy as always. Rockstar romances are not always my favorites, but what the Stage Dive series as well as the VIP series does so well is to give us the found family trope.

鈥淎 noble dream,鈥 chuckled Mal. 鈥淪eriously though, bands breaking up happens all the time. Takes a fair amount to put up with the same people day in, day out.鈥
鈥淭his your way of saying you鈥檙e out?鈥 asked Jim, smirk in place.
鈥淒amn, man,鈥 said Ben with a straight face. 鈥淲e鈥檒l miss you and shit.鈥
鈥淲ait, what was your name again?鈥 asked David, scratching his head. Mal gave them all the bird. 鈥淗a-ha. You useless fuckers. You鈥檇 be lost without me.鈥

Weak book to an overall decent series. Would definitely recommend to read at least & .

In the fourth and final book of the Stage Dive series, we get bass player Ben and Mal's sister-in-law, Lizzy's story. Ben is committed to his music and free lifestyle, while Lizzy is a hard working college student. One night in Vegas these two give into their attraction, but that night changes everything.

鈥淪o I鈥檇 been knocked up by a rock star.Big deal.Deep breath. Okay.鈥

This was a quick, enjoyable read, with fun characters, a little drama and some sweet moments. While Ben wasn't my favorite, I eventually warmed up to him.

So we all have our types of books, the ones you love and can鈥檛 wait to read. I love brother鈥檚 best friend books, that鈥檚 not a secret, and I love books were the characters get pregnant. Yes, I know this is a huge pet peeve for most, but me I am all about an unexpected baby. That being said I was completely ready to fall madly, deeply in love with Deep.

So I鈥檇 been knocked up by a rockstar. Big deal.

The Stage Dive series is my favorite rocker series. I absolutely love these guys and their wives/girlfriends. We all know our sexy bass player Ben and we met Lizzie in Play.

Throughout the series I have noticed a connection between Ben and Lizzie, it鈥檚 been subtle and in the background but there nonetheless. Deep begins with us finding out Lizzie is pregnant with Ben's baby. This is shocking news for everyone, because no one knows when this could have happened. The story then reflects back four months ago, to the wedding in Vegas. This is definitely a case of what happens in Vegas will definitely not being staying in Vegas.

Throughout the story we see how Ben and Lizzie will navigate this news. They are not together, this was a one night stand. While I think they both have some feelings for each other, this is not a case of insta-love. Neither are ready for such life altering changes and Ben is definitely not ready to give up his freedom. Regardless change is on the way and they have to decide what they want and are willing to give each other.

鈥淲hy are you here?鈥 I reached behind my head and grabbed his wrists, stilling him. 鈥淏en?鈥
鈥淏ecause apparently, I鈥檓 shit at staying away from you.鈥

I really enjoyed this story. I think it鈥檚 impossible not to love these guys and this couple is great. I loved Lizzie. She was strong, passionate, independent and had a lot of self-respect. It isn鈥檛 common that a heroine completely steals the show for me, but I admire strength in my characters and Lizzie had plenty. She is in an emotional state and it would be so easy to give in and cave to her desires, but she stands her ground.

Now Ben, yes he completely broke my heart. Some of his actions just made me cringe, but in the same respect this story is very realistic. Despite my desire for rainbows and sunshine, Ben is true to his character and his actions are very realistic. In my opinion, that is huge. So many times we see characters completely change given their circumstances and while we may hope that for our real lives, it rarely happens.

Deep has a lot of heart and depth. I love books that make me feel and my feels were all over the place. I am not sure what it was, but seeing these two struggle with their feelings hurt me for them. I loved how we had plenty of hot, sexy rock star moments to offset the emotional.

Ben and Lizzie are such a special couple and once they are thrown into this situation it takes time for things to come together. I love seeing things unfolded and they grew as people and then as a couple.

There were moments of frustration, intense heat, and plenty of heartbreak. In the end, I love how things played out with Lizzie and Ben. I highly recommend this series if you haven鈥檛 started and obviously Deep if you haven鈥檛 jumped in to this new installment yet.

Side note: Most importantly I have to give a shout to my favorite character: Mal Ericson. This is a pretty heavy story, but Mal was always there to lighten it up. I didn鈥檛 know I could love Mal more, but I swear the more I read the more I absolutely love this guy. So much so that I wish he was a real person. He is so fun!

鈥淎ren鈥檛 I just the best? Ohmigod I鈥檓 fucking amazing! My own mind is just blown by me. Put it there, little sis.鈥

This book started off well, I thought Liz was quite witty and the text messages were funny. I didn't get Ben though. If only we got his PoV!

Then somewhere along the way my feelings for it fizzled out. I couldn't feel their romantic connections. Liz became a pushover.

It was still a nice enough read and end to the series.

All it took was one-night, one-night that was never supposed to happen. Lizzy was supposed to be off limits, she wasn't supposed to be the girl Ben had a good time with, Lizzy is his best friend's little sister and even knowing all that it did fuck all to his control and reason.
But you and me, we鈥檝e never been easy. Minute I saw you, it鈥檚 been complicated.

What happened in Vegas definitely didn't stay in Vegas. While Lizzy had hope, Ben had his tantrum of good intentions but lacked any follow through, successfully killing her hope as each day passes. He may have all the right words but his actions are deafening.
鈥淵ou got my dick on a leash. Might as well have the rest of me.鈥

鈥淲hat does that mean?鈥

鈥淢eans I鈥檝e given up getting over you and I鈥檓 focusing on getting into you instead.鈥

Tough love is sometimes needed to see exactly what you would be missing, hopefully Ben can pull his head out of his in time.

Deep was just an okay read for me, while I loved the premise of it, the characters were a bit hard to sympathize with. With Lizzy, I imagined a love sick puppy that would just about do anything for Ben, wishing she had more sass. Ben had all the right words, but I wanted to kick his ass for the way he acted. Even though it's silly, this was one of those books I yelled at in hopes that they would hear you and do something about it. But even though it had it's frustrating moments there was also sweetness and steamy goodness too!

"I don't want to be places you're not."
I loved being back with the band!! And narrator Andi Arndt has become a favorite of mine. I'm going to listen to more of Kylie Scott's books just to hear Ms. Arndt's voice.

So, Ben and Lizzie . . . the first 50% was a firm 5-star for me. KS's signature humor was in full effect and the build-up was believable and heartwarming.

The second half, however, shows why this installment is not as well-loved as others in the series.
This guy and me, we were doomed from the start.
I thought KS dodged too many tough conversations. Ben would say fairly terrible things and Lizzie would let them go ==> over and over again.

And, imo, when characters - in this case the heroine - have no reaction to events, neither does the reader, which results in a bit of a lackluster experience.

Overall, though, it was still a decent read. And really, who can resist glances of Mal and Jimmy? :D

So, we finally get to Ben's book, the last book in the Stage Dive series. I have to admit that I've never been a big Ben fan but I'm happy to say that he won me over...finally.

The star of the book is Liz...she is hilarious. I could read her inner dialogue all day long. Some of the emotional stuff but was bit hard to read though.

Did I say Liz was the star of the book? Well, I LIED!! No one can quite steal the show like Mal! OMG...he is just perfection. I actually probably liked him more in this book than his own. The way he looked after Liz was amazing!

In fact, all the guys were in their elements taking care of their women. I did miss David some...I definitely didn't get enough of him!

description

I was disappointed in Ben and it was hard to feel the connection between Ben and Liz. A certain event happens and pushes them together. It doesn't help that Ben says he doesn't seem himself settling down and it especially doesn't help that he dates someone else (not while him and Liz are together)!

I always feel a certain "disconnect" when we don't get both MC's POVs. I wanted to think the best of Ben but we never really know until he says something. I probably would have liked him better if I knew what he was thinking.

I did like things better once they got together and things got quite steamy. Unfortunately, things don't stay good when a certain someone turns up and starts trouble. But it seemed to be needed to get Ben to step up and claim what he wants.

A new character is introduced, Vaughan, and his book will be the first book in KS' new series called Dive Bar. Vaughan plays in the band that opens for Stage Dive and seems really interesting.

鈥淵ou鈥檙e the only girl I want.鈥

Well, tickle me pink and call me a Stage Dive groupie for life, because this was the perfect ending to a series I adored beginning to end. We鈥檝e been collecting clues about their relationship for so long, little breadcrumbs Ms Scott has been leaving here and there just to keep us speculating, and now we finally get to hear it all and fall in love with yet another couple in this crazy, addictive rock star family. As the entire Stage Dive mob comes together to take care of one of their own, we are given one of the most emotional and angst-ridden stories of the lot, and yet another reason to love this series and secretly hope we haven鈥檛 seen the last of them.

鈥淭he moment I came into Ben Nicholson鈥檚 orbit I was helpless, powerless to resist his pull.鈥

As the little sister of the wife of one of Stage Dive鈥檚 most rowdy members, Liz was immediately brought into the fold and regarded as family, but from the first moment she set eyes on him, she knew her heart would always beat for one man and one man alone鈥攖he bearded wonder also known as the group鈥檚 bassist, Ben Nicholson. Eight years her senior, Ben is a loner, a natural-born musician who cherishes his freedom and not having any ties in life preventing him from enjoying his rock star lifestyle, but even against his better judgement, he cannot fight the pull of the young woman who is set on seducing him and obliterate any semblance of self-control he pretends to have around her. One night of unrestrained passion, one night of pretending the world around them does not exist, and their fates become forever intertwined.

鈥淚t was like we were each other鈥檚 whole world. Nothing else existed beyond the bed.鈥

Finding herself an unwedded, expectant mother at twenty-one is not what Liz ever thought her life would amount to, but her heartbreak only deepens when she realises the man she has also fallen desperately in love with could never give her what her heart aches for the most鈥攁 permanent place in his life. So a friendship is forged for the sake of their unborn baby, a friendship that neither of them truly feel comfortable with or emotionally fulfilled by, but they try, against everything their hearts scream at them to feel鈥ntil they cannot pretend any longer.

鈥淥ne day I鈥檇 find someone else who made me feel like Ben did. I just had to wait it out.鈥

But falling in love with a man who does not know how to make room for someone else in his life, a man already living his dream, proves to be a hurdle Liz never expected to have to face, especially with a baby on the way, adding an incredibly gripping level of angst to a story that is as emotional as it is entertaining. A story of two people finding in each other what they didn鈥檛 even know they sought and needed the most in life鈥攁 place to belong鈥攖his was the perfect send-off to a group of characters whose tales have each become favourites of mine. Ms Scott is an expect at giving us stories we become absorbed in, often giggling uncontrollably while our hearts are clenching from the underlying angst behind the jests, her colourful characters owning the pages they live on, and never losing our undivided attention. A drunken Las Vegas wedding between two strangers, an unexpected and rather hilarious match made in Heaven between two complete opposites, a story of unrequited love under the guise of a friends with benefits pact, and now this series gets its cherry on top with an unexpected pregnancy scenario that evolves into a truly touching and flawlessly paced romance between a kickass heroine whose strength of character is inspiring, and her bearded wonder, the man who never knew what his life was missing until he met her.

My heart is still hurting when I re-read some of my favourite scenes from this book, the deliciously prickly angst getting to me every single time. Another must read from this very talented author, another slam dunk in the series. Let鈥檚 hope it is not truly the last鈥

鈥淛ust give me a chance to catch up and I promise, Lizzy, I will have your back.鈥

Oh, well... That's it!!!! No more members of Stage dive!!! What a pity!!!!!
How am i supposed to leave without these guys????

Without tender and my personal favorite of all, David????
Without my lovely hillarious puppy, Malcolm??? That guy was making my day!!!!
Without that crunchy bastard, Jimmy??? Ok, i like him more now!!!!!
And without Ben, who actually was a free spirit???? In the end he got me, like the rest of them...

And how will be my world without Ev, Ann, Lena and Lizzy????
I loved that guys... All of them! And i will miss them... a lot!!!!

I really don't know what to say to you, my friends!!!
These people met them already in the previous three books and they were all of them unique...
But that book was focused to the bass-player of Stage dive, Ben and Ann's little sister, Lizzy....

From the first moment that they laid eyes to each other there was a sparkle between them, but we didn't know if that sparkle will grow in something bigger....

And that's because Ben was a free spirit with wanting not any kind of commitment... He wanted to have a good time and to make good music... He didn't expecting that Lizzy will be something more for him.... Except that, he had make a promise to Mal to stay away from her....

As for Lizzy, from the first moment that she laid eyes on Ben, she was infatuated with him... She had to focused in her studies, but she couldn't pull Ben out of her mind, so she went after him....

So, one night together in some hotel in Vegas brought some unexpected results for two of them...
And now they will have to balanced their lives and to found out if they were meant to be together...

Oh, God!!! That journey was difficult!!! Ben was a big dick in the beginning... and confused me all the time... Lizzy from the other hand was strong, funny and decent...
She didn't expect anything for Ben and she didn't try to press him... She decided to take whatever he was wanting to give her willingly... Except that this wasn't good enough... He was ripping her heart.... And i wanted to rip out his head from his body... Oh, God!!! He made me furious!!!!!

I don't want to say much more things about them...
You'll have to find out their story by yourself....

I just want to tell you a few more things....
1.Even though i didn't appreciate Jimmy, in some point i wanted to kiss him because was so mature and nice-talking.... You climb in my heart some steps, sweetie!!!!
2.I was looking forward for this book, because i was waiting Anne kicked Ben' ass for laying his hands upon her little sister... I'm disappointed that she never did it!!!!

3.I was in serious pain in my stomach for Mal's hillarious attitude!!!! In my big surprise, he was the one that was mad beyond any expectations with Ben...
4.Lizzy was funny as hell... Even though her contition, she made me laugh so hard...

5.I'd liked that we learned about how their romance developed before and i really enjoyed the texts between them... 韦hey were more communicative than when they were face to face...
6.Finally, i want to say something about Martha.... Oh, God, what an evil bitch!!!!

Oh, my Gosh!!! I loved that dudes and i always will!!!!

"So I鈥檇 been knocked up by a rock star. Big deal. Deep breath. Okay."

description

Deep is the fourth and final book of the Stage Dive Series. Each book has featured a member of the Stage Dive Rock band. This is Ben's story.

In , we meet Lizzy Anne's sister. Anne and Lizzy are close. Anne is very protective of her little sister. Naturally, when Mal and Anne got serious, Mal became equally as protective of his new little sister-in-law. Translation: HANDS OFF! Even though the boundaries were clearly stated and put in place, Lizzy is drawn to Ben like honey to a bee.

"Slowly, a smile curved his lips, making my heart jump with glee. The man reduced me to the state of a starstruck teenager. Yes to anything and everything that might possibly cross his mind."-Lizzy

Lizzy and Ben begin a secret friendship. They text and talk. Lizzy begins to develop feelings for the broody bass player. One night Lizzy goes out to a bar with a friend. When Ben finds out where she is, he comes to "rescue" her from the big bad club. Lizzy's heart is soaring. She has high hopes that something will begin to start between the two of them.

"Happy chemicals stirred inside of me. Lustful, crazy things telling me to jump him, to climb all over him and cover his gorgeous face in kisses. To rub my jaw against his beard and see if it felt soft or not. To let him see exactly how he affected me, how adored he could be."-Lizzy

Ben makes it clear that nothing between them will ever be. He shuts it down before anything even has the chance to start.

"Time to put my heart and hopes back on ice."-Lizzy

Lizzy makes a gallant effort to move on and away from Ben. Ignoring his texts, she remains resolved to stay away from all things Ben. Then the two are thrown back together due to the nuptials of Anne and Mal. You know the saying, "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas." Well, in Ben and Lizzy's case what happened in Vegas will be altering their lives forever!

Ben and Lizzy finally connect!

"I kissed him deep, tasting and exploring. The feel of his beard brushing against my face, the soft slip of his hair through my hands. I鈥檇 done a lot of making out over the years. No one kissed like Ben, though."-Lizzy

description

As soon as the deed was done, Ben does what he does best and he runs. His fear of revealing his feelings for her to the world outweigh his need to be with her. Lizzy leaves Vegas with a piece of Ben. She fondly refers to as "Bean".

When Ben finds out about little "Bean", all hell breaks loose. Mal and Anne loose it and everyone is mad at Ben for "taking advantage" of Lizzy. Ben is just trying to comprehend what is happening.

鈥淛ust give me a chance to catch up and I promise, Lizzy, I will have your back.鈥-Ben

Ben insists that Lizzy join the band on tour. He does his best to "take care" of her. Lizzy cannot get over her feelings for Ben. There will be no relationship past friends.

"What was there to say? To go into a relationship expecting the other person to change was stupid. Ben and I had been over before we began, I just hadn鈥檛 known it, understood, until now. No doubt he liked me just fine, but not enough."-Lizzy

description

Despite his best effort to avoid being with Lizzy, Ben cannot stay away from her. Eventually, he gives in and the heat is turned up from simmer to full steam ahead.

"Look, I can鈥檛 get over you, Liz. That鈥檚 the problem. You鈥檙e the only girl I want.鈥-Ben

Lizzy gives her all to Ben. Ben tries to be everything for Lizzy. For a while we think they are going to make it.

"My chest filled to overflowing with warm and fuzzy feelings. Every last little bit of emotion inspired by him. We were going to make it. We were. Him, me, and Bean would be the best family ever. Our baby girl would never doubt she was loved and looked after."

Just as things are really heating up between the two, an old nemesis enters the picture. We remember Martha from . Martha is Ben's sister and she is still the bitch we all love to hate. She stirs a super sized pot of trouble for Ben and Lizzy.

Luckily, it doesn't take long for Ben to recognize the errors of his ways.

Overall, I found Deep to be an amazing ending to this series. I have thoroughly enjoyed every single book. Although my favorite couple will always be Ev and David, Lizzy and Ben's story was just as captivating. Ben is a difficult hero to take on but once he gets his act together there is a lot to love. Lizzy is by far my favorite heroine of the series. She was stubborn, strong, smart, and unwilling to settle. Ms. Scott has mad writing skills and I will be anxiously waiting for her next series to hit my kindle!
