Book comparing writings of Dostoevsky and Nietzsche according to the philosophies they used in their books and essays. At the beginning of his literary way Dostoevsky was looking upon Bieli艅ski鈥檚 essays on Pushkin, Gogol or Lermontov which are also on humanitarianism. After meeting Bieli艅ski, who knew how dangerous getting deep into the idea can be, Dostoevsky became eve more passionate about humanitarianism. Russian writer after coming back from katorga (precursor of Gulag system, started in 17th century and changed into Gulag labor camps after Bolshevik Revolution of 1917) made some of his works, especially a scream of despair. But he didn鈥檛 resign completely from humanitarianism when he converted to realism. There are also references to Leo Tolstoy, who used elements of Kant鈥檚 philosophy in his most famous books 鈥 Anna Karenina and War and peace. Dostoevsky created a character called underground man, whose characteristics are skepticism and pessimism.
Nietzsche, German philosopher and author of idea of 脺bermensch, was over twenty years younger than Dostoevsky, but admired Russian writer. In his youth Nietzsche was under influence of Schopenhauer (essay Schopenhauer as a tutor) and Wagner (critics called Nietzsche Wagner鈥檚 literary valet 鈥 Wagner in Bayreuth). In later life philosopher turned to positivism. He was criticizing Kant, Spinoza or Mill.
Jest tu niewiele mniej Szestowa ni偶 Dostojewskiego i Nietzschego, mo偶e nawet wi臋cej ni偶 ich obu razem wzi臋tych.
Nie do ko艅ca to dosta艂am.
A, i jeszcze bardzo podoba艂 mi si臋 wstep Cezarego Wodzi艅skiego, nie cz臋sto si臋 zdarza, by wst臋p by艂 tak samo dobry jak dzie艂o, kt贸re poprzedza!

"Proud loneliness ! Can present-day man really be proud when he is alone with himself ? In public, in speeches, in books - that is a different matter. But when no one sees or hears him, when in the dead of night, in complete silence, he realizes what his life really is, how dare he use even one lofty word ?.. When people abandon him, when he is left alone with himself, he automatically begins to tell himself the truth, and, my God, what a horrible truth it is ! lev shestov en dovstoyeski y nietzsche. filosof铆a de la tragedia, lee a estos dos autores desde un rechazo al humanismo y al idealismo que caracterizar铆a su obra y los separar铆a de la 茅lite intelectual de la 茅poca. al hacerlo ofrece una mirada cr铆tica sobre el af谩n universal e idealista del conocimiento - concuerdo - y una especie de reivindicaci贸n al ego铆smo y al individualismo- que creo que comprendo, pero no comparto.
