Rhaim produced a key from somewhere upon his person. “The collar has a lock. He tossed it out onto the table. “If I cannot solve the Deathless, I will become your loyal servant, until the end of my time.
I was suddenly in danger of fainting. Rhaim had just as much as admitted he didn’t have an answer yet, and the price he would pay for failure was too great for me to bear.
I knew what it was like to be trapped in a cage.
I would never, ever, send anybody else—much less the man I loved—into one.
“Father, you cannot agree to his terms, I told him. I rose up on my tiptoes, leaning over Helkin’s shoulder to shout, “I still hate you, beast! willing Rhaim to change his mind.
Rhaim gave me a wicked smile, and spoke in the growl that bypassed my ears and went straight to my core. “As well you should, princess. And know, too, that if I am given you, I will never show you kindness again . . . and the things I will do to you will make the unicorns weep.
Bend A Dark Beauty and the Beast Fantasy Romance is the story of Rhaim the All-Beast, a cruel beast mage doomed to die at the hands of the woman he must protect at all costs, and Lisane, the sheltered Princess of Tears, who has been given into his care and who needs him to teach her magic so she can be free—no matter how much it might hurt her.

Hi there! I'm a registered nurse and author. As Cassandra, I wrote the Year of the Nurse: A Covid-19 Pandemic Memoir. As Cassie, I've written numerous (and very hot!) paranormal romances, sometimes with my friend Kara Lockharte. I live in the Bay Area with one husband, two cats, and one million succulents.
This final book was rather... disappointing. After consuming this series in two days time I can't believe the resulotion to Rhaim's and Lisane's story left me so indifferent in the end 😞 The pacing was all over the place and the plot just... happened to everyone? There was no feeling of any real consequences or emotional impact nor did our two main characters feel like themselves anymore (at least to me). So yeah basically plot plot plot and then awkward underwhelming fucking and more plot and random deus ex machina that undermines all the prior worldbuilding. I guess I'll just have to pretend this book doesn't exist and be content with the first two 🤷🏻♀ Oh and an extra star for Sybi being the most adorably confused bff ever 🤭

About The Book: This Book is the perfect end to a perfect series with lots and lots and lots and lots of spice.
What Will Stay With Me: Rhaims mouth is FILTH! And I love it.
Review: That epilogue was EVERYTHING. Dang, I'm still sweating. That was... something else. I have loved this series from the very first words to the very last and every moment in between.
I got the audio of this book and the narrators are so incredibly talented I cant even deal with it. This is a series that I'm going to enjoy so many times and I already can't wait for my first full re read of them.
I'd recommend these books to absolutely everyone, a little dark but not too much and with enough sweetness and laughter to balance it all perfectly.
Make Her was my first ever fairytale retelling, I loved it. It helps that beauty and the beast is my absolute favorite fairytale. I liked all the domination, not so into the pain of it all. I like that these two characters made each other better. My favorite part was in Lisane's fathers castle, her getting what she truly wanted. The narrators did an awesome job with these characters. I was hesitant when starting the first, addicted by the second book and so sad at the end of the third book. UGH it's over. This series is so good, Cassie Alexander is a very good writer.
The stakes are high after Lisane finds herself at the hands of her father again who doesn’t waste time to pawn her off for marriage. Rhaim will stop at nothing to get her by his side again 😭 I love how their connection deepens in the final book, their scenes are all so intense not only emotionally but also physically 🔥😍 I am obsessed with this duo!
⭐️⭐️⭐️> Okay, I see the vision. Some moments were enjoyable but the book didn’t get a VIP spot in my heart or on my bookshelf 💁🏻♀
Wow, this last book was sooo different from the other two! It was all about the plot, which normally I'm cool with, but since the first two books lacked plot and world-building development, this one felt super intense and weird. Like, who crams all that into the final book, right?
The first half of the book was all plot-focused, so there were hardly any character interactions. It got more spicy in the second part and towards the end. But since there wasn't that tension or buildup like in the first two books, those spicy scenes kinda fell flat. It seemed like the author struggled to balance plot and romance. Also, this final book was less "dark" compared to the others.
The world-building was kinda meh too. It got some attention, but it's hard to do justice to plot and world-building in the last book when it was missing in action in the first two. Everything felt rushed.
Plus, some parts were left hanging—like what happened to certain characters or the whole kingdom? We got a bit more about the book's universe but ended up with even more questions. There's a difference between an author leaving you with questions intentionally and just forgetting to explain.
Overall, this series is okay. The first two books were really fast paced (probably because of the lack of world-building and plot development). The story had potential, but it wasn't fully realized. The pacing in the third book was so different that it felt kinda off.
In my opinion, there are better dark fantasy romance books and Beauty and the Beast retellings out there.
Against all odds, what remains of my soul survived this series ending. I mean, wouldn’t you be scared if the whole premise of the series is that she is destined to bring about his end? I thought so.
In all my imaginings of how the series would end, I did not imagine this. It’s a magical feeling in itself, the unpredictability of the ending. When you read many books, it gets difficult finding a series that manages to surprise you like this.
Make Her is perhaps my favorite installment of the series, perhaps more than the first book itself, which I had adored back when I read it earlier this year. Why? Because seeing Lisane and Rhaim be in love, fight for that love, for each other, for freedom…it was simply beautiful. Rhaim being ruggedly soft (yes, I probably invented this term) and seeing him do everything it takes to get Lisane back—especially considering what he had to lose—made me weak. The character growth both these characters have gone through throughout the series was fantastic. Rhaim softened a little bit, while Lisane became stronger. Together, they made each other better.
I highly recommend this series to lovers of dark romance, especially to all the Beauty and the Beast girlies who thought the Beast was kind of hot. I mean, it couldn’t have been just me, right?
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.
In this final installment of the Transformation Trilogy, we see Rhaim and Lisane fight for what they believe in. Rhaim finally accepts that even if his end is inevitable, Lisane is what he truly needs to live. And he will do anything to get her back.
Lisane is once again, caged by the people who she holds most dear. But that wont be for long. She is willing to risk it all, even her life, if it means she can escape and be with Rhaim. For he alone gave her what she truly needed. Freedom.
In this final show down, lies and secrets are unveiled. War with the Deathless seems to be endless. Friends are found and not all family is lost. A plot twist I did not see coming took me of guard. And let's not even begin to talk about the spice!🥵
I was not ready for this journey to end. From Rhaim's desperation, to Lisane's defiance, I loved it all! I'm so glad i read the eARC first, and now I can't wait to get into the audio book and hear the story come to life once more!
If you love a good dark fairytale retelling, the Transformation Trilogy is definitely a must read.

Thank you, Cassie, for allowing me to be apart of your crew.
This is the final book in this trilogy, this is a fantasy, beauty and the beast retelling. So much good spice and some good angst. I did the audiobook, and I couldn’t stop listening! It’s narrated by Matthew holland and Victoria mei and they did a phenomenal job! They really brought this story to life
It is with both bittersweet and joy feelings that I have finishing this trilogy. Cassie took me on an emotional roller coaster ride with Lisane and Rhaim. The angsty vibes that Rhaim was giving off! I have to say that "beast" Rhaim is still my favorite.
Every intimate moment between Lisane and Rhaim were scorching hot! I savored them all. It was great to see Lisane and Rhaim together against those who were trying to tear them apart. Again, I want to give a shout out to Finx. Every time that he made an appearance, I had a smile on my face.
I will leave you with this line from Rhaim..."I want all of my firsts with you."
Rhaim and Lisane fight for what they believe in and want, and for those they love in the final installment of the Transformation Trilogy by author Cassie Alexander. Get ready for one last show done as Rhaim finally accepts his fate and realizes Lisane is what he truly needs to survive, while Lisane once again finds herself locked in a cage by those she loves. What will Rhaim to do to get his only hope back and will Lisane risk it all to escape and finally truly be free? Find out for yourself in Make Her.
This journey was exciting and a wild ride full of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat. While I’m sad that Rhaim and Lisane’s story is ending, I can’t wait to see what Cassie Alexander has up her sleeves for her readers and listeners next. Matthew Holland and Victoria Mei, once again, do a phenomenal job bringing every aspect of these characters to life. As someone who is very new to both of this these narrators, I’m excited to dive in more of their work.
With MAKE HER, the Transformation Trilogy comes to an end—and what an exciting end it was. What I admired about this series from the start was not only the unpredictability of the plot and its resolution, but also the political intricacies of the kingdoms and the mages roles in the war against the Deathless. All this was present in this book, woven with Lisane’s growth into magic and Rhaim’s determination to keep Lisane, and their mutual love and desire to be together, free from the whims of kings and everything else that would keep them apart.
Continuing the character development we’ve seen since the first book and that had a pivotal role in the second book, both Lisane and Rhaim continue their growth in this one. Lisane is far from the sheltered princess she was at the start of the series, and Rhaim has finally opened himself to love and is gentler, not only with Lisane but also himself and the few people he considers friends, which allowed for some very nice scenes with beloved secondary characters like Sibyi the Cloudmaker. One of my favorite things about this last installment was getting the chance to see Lisane stand up for herself against her father, brother and Castillion. There is nothing more beautiful than a woman taking agency.
However, unlike the previous book, this one concentrates a little more on the plot as well, wrapping up the storyline of the Deathless and that of Rhaim’s fate in a way that I didn’t see coming. Though it’s an ending that saddens me a little, it’s a satisfying one and in line with the series. It was cleverly done on the author’s part.
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.

Wow. What 👏an👏ending👏. I have to say this was probably my favorite of the three books 😍
Rhaim's and Lisane's journey was an epic one 🙌 I loved how much worldbuilding we got to see in the finale and the turns and twists were crazy, some things came totaly out of the blue! Finally seeing the moment Rhaim feared so much since meeting Lisane from the first time... it was heartbreaking. I also love her brother's character growth, that was a nice surprise. Not to mention Lisane and her transformation into a mage, I was constantly amazed by her fearlessness, intelligence and determination 🙌 It was an amazing ending to a great trilogy!
Since I can't talk much about the plot without spoiling it, here are some tropes to get you excited about the series: ✨️Beauty and the Beast retelling ✨️hot & spicy ✨️ɴDZ-ڳٱ ✨️size and age difference ✨️women are banned from practicing magic and leaving their underground dwellings. MFC is here to shatter her golden cage ✨️all kinds of unique magics ✨️a talking spider-cat companion ✨️amazing character growth ✨️"Touch her and die" ✨️a magical floating castle
This was an amazing journey! Can't wait to see what else does Cassie have in store for us 🙌😍
What an end to the Transformation Trilogy. I enjoyed this series overall. It wasn’t too heavy on the fantasy element and was just easy to read and listen to. Highly recommend it if you don’t want anything too heavy on fantastic and just delicious spice and tension.
I love the audiobook narrators, especially Matthew Holland. He is a new favourite because the way he brought out Rhaim as a character made me weak.
This was dark delicious and just a great way to finish off the series. I appreciated the lighthearted intimate moments Lisane and Rhaim had towards the end. Just them laughing and happy made me happy! The dark rough spice also hits every time.

I was not ready!!! I thought I was, but I was soooo not ready!
Omg! Omg! O.M.G!!!!
This the third and final book in the trilogy. And boy did it close things off so nicely for all of us dedicated fans 🥵
Book 3 picks up right after Book 2’s ending, which is when Lisane is taken from Rhaim. We get so much character development in this book for both of our beloved main characters. There is magic, there is live, there is hot steam with Rhaim and Lisane. But more importantly, we get our happy ending for them.
Once again, the audiobook was amazing!! Both Matthew Holland and Victoria Mei return to voice Rhaim and Lisane. And if you liked them in the first two books, you are absolutely going to fall in love with them all over again with their portrayal of our beloved characters in this book. Mathew was able to amazingly portray Rhaim as our beloved anti-hero who really finds himself in this world. Victoria showed us just how much of a badass Lisane truly is! The did such a great job putting us back into their world and made every character come alive. They absolutely killed the narration and I’m so happy that they were chosen for these two characters 🖤
The reason I loved this series was because it was so different from your typical paranormal romance [at least the ones I read, especially by the same author] ...
I just did not quite gravitate the MCs like I did in book 1 and 2.
Reading other books by the author, I feel like the storyline gravitated to those types of books, and it was high key annoying.
From the beginning of this one, I truly disliked the FMC, Lisane. She seriously pissed me off with her shift and the blame she failed to take responsibility for ... it was chalked up to her wanting to be a martyr. Not cool!
Rhaim is still zaddy, until he made himself a simp for Lisane. [If you know me, you know I hate that word "simp", it seriously makes me cringe] ... but Rhaim was no zaddy anymore but more of a huge puppy by the end. 😒
*I totally skipped the Epilogue because there was no way I was going to allow myself to be more disappointed than I already am.
Lisane has returned to her father, telling everyone Rhaim is the beast they all claim him to be, despite him capturing her heart. But the threat of the Deathless still looms & Rhaim follows Lisane, to protect from all threats, including those who may discover she is training to be a mage. Rhaim knows Lisane equals his death, but he will use his last breath to keep her safe.
I found this story moved at quick pace. We find out what really happened to the other female mages, see Lisane come into her power & have some very hot moments between Lisane & Rhaim. There were a few moments I wish had been expanded even a little more, as seemed a bit rushed to get to the conclusion. There was one thing I was a little sadden by how it turned out as was driving force of the series, but overall have enjoyed this Beauty & the Beast retelling & happy for Lisane & Rhaim to get their HEA.
4.5⭐️All hail the Unicorn Queen! Okay I loved this read! Cassie’s writing is just so delicate and descriptive and otherworldly I feel like I get transported each book I read. I loved the plot twisty epic conclusion to this trilogy. The ending! Gah just perfection. This slow burn finally burst into a flame so bright I needed shades! Dang! I needed a moment in the middle there. Phew! The charcters are very well established, stunning developmental arcs. Finx the spider cat is just an adorable side piece character who lit up every moment he was in. I just loved watching them both grow and develop throughout this series! Super excited for the modern spin off retelling of Lisane and her All Beast!
This book was a bit of a gear change from the first two as we focused on resolving the world's issues and main 'evil' in the books. This would mean that Rhaim and Lisane could be together!
I was surprised by the resolution and didn't see it coming, I think it was a good way to wrap up the series and gave a happy ever after, albeit slightly unorthodox and not what I was expecting!
Lisane and Rhaim will hold a place in my heart and I would recommend the series to people who enjoy enemies to lovers, slow burn, magic and mages and cute/scary side kicks. It has great beauty and the beast and howl's moving castle vibes which are big selling points to me as well!
At last, we reach the conclusion to this trilogy, and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint. As Rhaim and Lisane work independently to solve the problem of the Deathless and their reunion, it seems the issues are more connected than they ever imagined.
When they're finally reunited, amongst confessions and revelations, it is powerful and magical in more ways than one. And was written to be very, very hot!! Make sure you don't read this one in public, friends.
I'm so happy to get to see the next chapter for Lisane and Rhaim unfold before my eyes. Make sure to pre-order so you can find out if they're able to take on the Deathless, save Lisane from her father, and find out if Rhaim can escape his foretold death.
Throughout the third book Lisane and Rhaim do what they need to do to protect each other and to be together again! Lisane grows stronger as a mage and risks everything for her freedom and to see Rhaim again. Rhaim makes a deal and has to workout without his mage magic to try and win Lisane back! Absolutely loved the ending to this trilogy! If you loved Beauty and the Beast you will not be disappointed!
Arc review. I really enjoyed this third and final book. With Lisane now separated from Rhaim, we learned about the past, the reason the deathless exist and why women catch fire when they practice magic. It was a great conclusion to a fun take on beauty and the beast. Also Beast Rhaim spicy times and knotting? Yes please!
Such an amazing ending to one of the best Beauty and the Beasts inspired stories! There is no loss of spicy plot in this one, but also this story grips you until the very end. I'm sad it's over!
My favorite book in the series. Things finally come together to a very satisfying ending. The scenes with the “beast are hot. This is absolutely the most unique Beauty and the Beast retelling I’ve ever read.
