One bed. Two stranded strangers. Three wildly passionate nights. A thousand secrets between them.
After getting trapped in a blizzard, my private jet grounded, with no hotel room available within miles, I met a woman at the bar.
Rowan.
A knockout blessed with killer curves, gorgeous emerald eyes, and a mouth that should be illegal. She triggered all the primal and possessive emotions I’d never known I had.
Not the typical Cooper Spade that the world had come to know.
What followed was a fiery, unforgettable, wildly explosive weekend of sizzling touches, passionate nights, and intense chemistry.
The rebel had finally fallen
But when the storm cleared, I returned to LA and learned that the woman I’d just spent seventy-two carnal hours with was the enemy, and I’d loved every minute of it.
A scorching enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, billionaire romance.
USA Today Bestselling author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Marni was fantasizing about penning her first novel. She crafts sexy, titillating stories that weave together her love of darkness, mystery, passion, and human emotions. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida, with her husband and their Yellow Lab. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop, working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling, or devouring fabulous books.

Listen there is a similarity with Marni's books, yet each character is still unique. Fast burn and full of steamage is guaranteed. They typically meet in a bar, too. You can count on a H that has gotten around town and then some, but has finally found someone to change his ways, is cocky and knows how to hit it and never wanna quit it. The h's are always strong and independent.
Here we have Cooper (29) & Rowan (29) who find themselves snowed in with all flights delayed for days, and only one bed available...whatever will they do?
Just when I think I have enough book boyfriends another is added to the list. This guy is so sweet and attentive, and protective. And when he got some unexpected news his response was absolutely perfect. Ford Dalton from is still my favorite, but Cooper comes in at a close second.
Rowan knows what she wants and isn't afraid to speak up, even when she gets the cold shoulder.
Overall, lovedy love loved. The epilogue just might bring a tear to your eye.
Series notes This series follows brothers in business together, so you might as well read the 1st one 1st so that you know what's up with the family. Then you'll be ready for Brady's story coming out in June 2024. This is also a spin-off of The Daltons series and some of those characters are involved here. I suppose it's not absolutely necessary to read those first, but they're quite enjoyable, so why not?
Narration notes: Both narrators did great. Their opposite voices weren't bad.
*Thanks to the author, Dreamscape Media and NetGalley for the audio copy. I am voluntarily leaving my honest review*
There are sexy men and then there is Cooper Spade 🫠. What can I say? This book had me hooked from the first page to the last and I loved every second of it!
Tropes: ✨billionaire romance ✨r ✨forced proximity ✨one bed (or hotel suite) ✨enemies to lovers ✨SIZZLING chemistry
Rowan and Cooper meet at the bar of a hotel in Banff while both on a business trip and hit it off immediately! Their chemistry is off the charts and heavy, suggestive flirting had me fanning myself already and then they’re snowed in for 3 days spending those three days together! In Rowan’s suite! Since Cooper doesn’t have a room! Naked 🫠. Cooper has never felt this connection to a woman before and not for lack of trying so he is very clear that he wants to see her again when they’re back in LA. But Rowan is reserved because she knows something he doesn’t
And when they DO finally meet again, reality comes crashing down on them! Hard! And it’s not pretty. The strangers who became lovers turn to enemies, from Cooper’s side at least and OMG I was sitting at the edge of my seat during every single one of their interactions 🤭.
I fell in love with both characters individually but also as a couple! Rowan was such a boss lady! Every time spiteful comments were thrown her way, she shut them all up with her brilliant ideas and work ethic! And Cooper my God, this MAN 🤤🥵. He had a heart of gold under all the hard, cutthroat exterior, even though he verbally acted out after he felt misled and manipulated by Rowan, which he had every right to be! And let’s not forget the fact that this man liked to “EAT 👀🤣, a very important trait if you ask me 💁🏻♀.
Next up is Brady, and omg this guy needs a woman to have him on his KNEES!
Thank you to Marni Mann and ValentinePR for the ARC 💜.
The Rebel is the second book in the Spade Hotel Series by Marni Mann. The Rebel is a steamy romance that takes in Banff. Rowan and Cooper are stranded in a hotel on Lake Louise and have three unforgettable nights together. When they return home, they realize their romance is forbidden. The Rebel is a fun romance. I enjoyed all the family dynamics. There is more to this book than I thought when I started reading it. I recommend The Rebel to romance fans especially if you like Marni Mann’s The Dalton Family series.
I wanted to love this one, I really, really did but here we are. This had so many tropes I knew I’d be into billionaire, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and a steamy instant connection (without being insta love).
I was vibing okay until I realized a pattern in the book, which was adding letters to words unnecessarily (ie yesss, okaaaay, annnnd). While I understand that this can 100% be necessary in books to understand the connotation, this was repetitive to the point of driving me insane.
I was willing to overlook that, and honestly the overall story was gonna be a solid 3 stars. I wasn’t in love with the characters or the plot, but it was engaging enough to keep me reading.
All was fine and dandy until my most despised trope was flung upon me as I had about 45 minutes left in the book. If I had any longer left, it would’ve been placed straight onto my DNF shelf. To me, the plot twist was highly unnecessary and really didn’t add anything to the story other than chaos and frustration (and no, I never saw this specific trope advertised for this book so pls don’t come at me for being annoyed).
While this book clearly wasn’t for me, it did have a good basis & I’m sure many people will enjoy this. Sadly, I wasn’t one of them.
The chemistry between Rowan and Cooper was absolutely insanely high!
Cooper was an absolute swoon fest of an MMC, with his heart of pure gold hiding under his gruff and steely exterior. While Rowan was a definite boss-lady, she knew what to do and how to do it! Her feistiness really came in handy!
Their whole snowed-in time together/forced proximity was full on heat and steam. They were just the hottest and sweetest together. Until life comes swooping in and revealing the truth. The angst, the tension, the pain. It was so heartbreaking. The emotions coming off the page were so vivid and painful but was absolutely healed with all the sweet moments and the cracking moments of humour.
I loved Cooper’s attitude to love and a potential relationship, it was such a change from so many MMCs being sworn off love to being obsessed with their woman.
Marni definitely hits the spice out of the park! Cooper had such a filthy mouth and with such explosive spice, it really scorched my kindle!
Thank you Marni Mann and Valentine PR for an early copy.
Marni Mann books are so unique in the fact that they start off right away super spicy. Like if you just want to jump right in hot and steamy, this is the author for you! Then she keeps it up through the rest of the book too. It’s like, the opposite of a buildup of that makes sense but then the plot builds up as it goes too. Unique and enjoyable.
🌀ԴDZ Cooper and Rowan are stuck in the same town for Christmas. With no flights out they find themselves at the same hotel and one thing leads to another. It ends up being a very enjoyable 72 hours but when it’s done, it’s done. Rowan doesn’t give him her number. Life goes back to normal. Only life for both of them is about to be shook up. Cooper is a Spade and Rowan is a Cole, both families in the hotel business and both hate each other. Now, the heads of their families have gotten together and decided it’s time for them to merge companies. A decision neither family is happy about, especially Rowan and Cooper. The two keep ending up together though and Rowan really proves she’s a valuable asset in and out of the bedroom. Cooper is smitten but now they have to get their families on board with this change as well.
“When you showed me you need me in your dreams as much as you want me in your life, I knew I was in love.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶🌶
Marni my queen of spice spectacularly delivered ! Again The Rebel is definitely a swoon fest. The Rebel is an emotional roller coaster. It’s not the normal Marni Mann book. This time she you threw in a couple of jaw drops. The Rebel is swoony, spicy, angsty, and a tear jerker. It was totally unexpected and I loved it.
Cooper Spade met Rowan Cole at Lake Louise Canada. They ended up having a few spectacularly sex filled days while being snowed in for Christmas. They went back to LA, Cooper didn’t know her last name, but she knew his. They weren’t able to stop thinking about each other. They ran into each other and connected again. Now, he finds out that she’s part of the rival family. Cooper is now caught up believing he has to choose between his family and the girl he can’t stop thinking about. Rowan feels as if she’s in the same predicament. It’s a Romeo and Juliet retelling. What will these star crossed lovers do to fix this problem?
Rowan Cole is boss lady. I really loved her character. She’s straight forward and says what’s on her mind. It’s what made her so compatible to Cooper. He was honest and straight forward with his intentions. Cooper Spade . Swoon alert!!!! This man does the most romantic things and his dirty mouth will tingle your lady bits. I can’t wait to see what Marni has in store for us next. This book is a must read.
Trope: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, billionaire, secrets get revealed, reformed playboy, grumpy/sunshine, one bed, alfha hero, family rivals, workplace.
Marni take your bow, girl! ❤️🤌🏼 Thank you and Valentine for the ARC
ugh I loved this one. once again Marni knows how to make a girl happy. I was so excited for Cooper's book and this did not disappoint. there is nothing I love more than at the very beginning of a book the two main characters being stuck together because of weather or a circumstances that is out of their control. I love starting the story off with a bang- literally. I know it's not everyone's cup on tea, but its definitely mine. I also loved this one so much because both Cooper and Rowan are 29. I am only a year younger than them, and I have been really loving romance books that have characters that are in their late 20s and even in their 30s more. I feel more seen and I love seeing it represented more. I love how fast and hard that Cooper fell for Rowan. I mean doesn't everyone want an alpha billionaire to be completely obsessed with them?! I loved how much Rowan was a girl boss. & in her own right running a multi-billionaire dollar hotel chain also. I ate this one up, like seriously. I love nothing more than also seeing the Dalton family and more of the Spade family. they are such a comfort group to me that I will take any little crumb of them. you will not be able to deny the chemistry that Cooper and Rowan have, and if there is one thing that Marni always hits it's going to be the spice. I cannot wait to continue this series!
This was going well the first half, nothing special at all BUT THEN they had to go and throw in an accidental pregnancy (spoiler but necessary). & i usually LOVE an accidental pregnancy but this was not done well 😭
(audiobook) It’s possible I was expecting too much, so of course I was kind of a tiny bit disappointed. But it was still a good book.
My main problem was with the fact that both Rowan and Cooper claim they don’t know what love is. Until they find each other, of course. I suppose that makes for a powerful revelation when they finally admit their feelings. For me, it’s unbelievable at best. And if it’s denial, I don’t find it sexy or romantic. Mostly it’s proof of emotionally stunted characters, which Rowan and Cooper were anything but. It could also be a way for them to keep their relationship on the casual side, but it contradicts the fact that they risk a lot by being together and yet they can’t keep their hands off each other. Either you’re committed, or you’re not.
Also, a tiny ridiculous thing I didn’t like: the title. It’s great as it is, nothing wrong. Except that I never got how Cooper was a rebel. Unless it’s explained in the previous book in the series. That’s probably it.
Anyway, I loved the characters. I loved how invested they were in their businesses and in their families. How, despite a family feud, they find a way to work together–and almost against their families–for the best possible outcome. Not an easy journey, plenty of obstacles, and intense scenes and hostility, but they get there. There’s also some interesting struggles, like when Rowan is wondering whether she should go back to her previous business and leave the family company, and Cooper convinces her.
And they’re fire together. Sure, there’s a lot of attraction right from the start, and that could lead nowhere. But in the first chapters, they ignite the pages, it’s logical they couldn’t let it go.
The book isn’t exactly structured in three acts. It’s more a crescendo with a few short calmer moments before new life changing events. A bit soap-opera-ish maybe. It sure keeps the reader interested.
The narrators were well cast. Rowan’s assertiveness was reflected in the female narrator’s voice, while the male narrator did a good job with Cooper’s intensity. This audiobook was a great way to enjoy Cooper and Rowan’s love story.

When I was told ARCs were sent I ran to my emails so fast to download this book and email it to my Kindle. I am always excited when Marni releases a new book but this series? I’M OBSESSED. It’s only the second book in the series but book one (The Playboy) was absolutely amazing and I have been so excited to read book two!
Rowan Cole i extremely talented, and is extremely hardworking, she is the youngest and the only daughter in the Cole family. She has no problem standing up for herself, she will fight for what she believes in and not back down in her personal life and her work life. All around she is an incredible woman and I adored her! She was a very loveable FMC.
I am obsessed with Cooper Shade! Gah! Cooper Shade is an alpha hole, that’s for sure! he is a dominant, confident, sexy AF playboy billionaire that I fell in love with at the beginning of the book. He is the middle brother of the Shade family!
Cooper is known as a playboy, however, when he meets Rowan, he realises that he no longer wants the playboy life and that she is what he has been waiting for all along. The thing is Rowan isn’t being up front about who she is or which family she is part of. She is an enemy of the Shades Family. So, what happens when he finds out that he’s fallen in love and is sleeping with the enemy?
This book packed a punch. The chemistry between these two was explosive. The spice in this was on point *Chefs Kiss*. It was scorching hot and even though there was heavy amounts of heat/smut, the author managed to weave in the perfect amount of emotion and even a little bit of fluff and moments throughout the story that had me laughing out loud. I fell in love with these two characters as individuals and as a couple. I saw so much character development and growth the deeper I got into the story. This was an incredible enemies-to-lovers romance that had me swooning. Definitely recommend reading this!
From the moment I started reading ‘The Rebel I completely fell in love with Cooper and Rowan. Both characters are very hardworking, family minded and they definitely deserve someone nice in their lives. But the last thing they expect is their family rivalry. And there family rivalry is no picnic.
I love enemies to lovers romance stories, so this one was definitely for me. I didn’t really get why both Cooper and Rowan kept there many secrets, but it sure made for some fun and interesting moments. The banter between these characters was so fun and I was rooting for them from the start.
The chemistry between Cooper and Rowan was wonderful, and made me want to keep on reading. There was so much passion between them it was hard to read when they where arguing at times. But the thing I loved the most about this book was how selfless these characters where. Whenever an issue occurred, they both tried to do what was best. And although Cooper and Rowan had their struggles, they worked so well together.
There where some fun twists and turns throughout the book, and I loved reading about the different side characters as well. It felt like I was reading about old friends, and I really enjoyed it. I didn’t really get the name of the book, The Rebel, since I didn’t really find Cooper such a rebel myself but that cover sure is amazing.
‘The Rebel was a fun romantic and steamy read set in the hotel business world. And I can’t wait to read more books in this series. There definitely are some other family members out there I’m really curious about.
Tropes: enemies to lovers 🔥 forced proximity 🏨 billionaire 💵 one bed 🛏 spicy 🌶️
I genuinely thought it was a super fun book with plenty of tension between the main characters. ❤️
If you like a forbidden love story with lots of suspense this is really a book/book series for you.
This story is about Cooper Spade and Rowan Cole, both families own hotel empires and have hated each other for centuries.
When Cooper goes to Lake Louise, Canada, to view a new potential location, he runs into Rowan at the hotel. Due to very bad weather conditions, Cooper cannot fly back to Los Angeles and is forced to stay in a hotel. He meets Rowan in the bar and because they have an instant connection, Cooper and Rowan spend the next 3 days together in her hotel room....
After those exciting days in Canada, they meet again in Los Angeles and during a very important meeting to merge the two companies, her real identity comes out....
The text messages were so much fun in the story and I look forward to the next book! 💬
Marni Mann is a writer who in my opinion writes really good stories and who I will always support! 🤍
Thank you to Valentine Pr, Marni Mann and the publisher for providing me with this copy. All opinions are my own.
This book had it all, spice, one bed, forbidden love and a lot of heart. Rowan and Cooper weren't supposed to like one another, but when they meet it is instant fire. Their families are enemies so this can't go further than this weekend at this hotel, but when a wrench is thrown in and their companies just merged, they have to figure out if the fight is worth it. Spoiler alert, there is a lot of spice from the get go and it doesn't stop because these two are combustable. Rowan doesn't have one night stands and Cooper isn't sure he can let go after their time together becauase he can't stop thinking about her and fighting his feelings really isn't working. Especially not when Rowan lays everything out on the table, twice. He can't let her go and he's going to have to fight for what they have. Fight he does, with his family and with hers. They aren't happy about any of the developments but sometimes love is stronger than anything else that comes at you. I loved these two and how much they loved one another and knew their connection was something they couldn't let go. It felt Romeo and Juliet like.
honestly what can i say that i haven’t already said when it comes to marni’s books? at this point i sound like a broken record. there’s just something about marni’s books that just hit and every time i read one, i’m transported to an elusive world i want to be a part of.
this book is marni to a t. she gives us her signature spice which is out of this world scorching. characters that bring so much to the table who we see the amount of growth they make throughout the book which was stellar. and the chemistry and connection that rowan and cooper had is just on another level. i absolutely fell so hard for each of them separately as well as together. and together they were a force to be reckoned with.
the rebel was an amazing enemies to lovers romance that left me giddy. the second book in the spade hotel series was a definite winner. seriously, marni never disappoints.
The opening of this book wrapped me in warmth and had me feeling all sorts of romantic vibes. Cooper Spade, while on a business trip, gets stuck at a hotel in Lake Louise. He never expected that a delay would lead him to meet someone like Rowan, a woman unlike anyone he's encountered before.
Rowan knows she's treading dangerous ground, but as she spends time with Cooper, her curiosity grows, and she starts to question what she's heard about him.
The chemistry between them is electric, with sparks flying everywhere. Cooper and Rowan share some intense, steamy moments as they find themselves drawn into each other's orbit. But then Cooper discovers that the woman he's falling for is connected to their biggest rival and lifelong enemy.
This sets the stage for a showdown, with war lines drawn and betrayals lurking. Cooper and Rowan must navigate their feelings while dealing with family loyalties and intense rivalry.
Cooper and Rowan are wild and reckless at times, but the chemistry and romantic tension are undeniable. Their intense moments together left me speechless.
Yet another Marni book with a hotttttt MMC. I was excited for Cooper after the glimpses we got of him in the Playboy & he didn’t disappoint 🙌🏻
Cooper works with his siblings for his families company Spade Hotels, he takes a trip to Canada on the day before Christmas Eve to tour a property and make an offer for a new location. When the weather makes it impossible for him to fly home to LA he finds himself at the closest resort bar, where he finds Rowan. She never does hook-ups, but she is so drawn to Cooper she can’t resist. They spend three amazing days together, but when it’s time to head back to LA Cooper leaves his number, and puts the ball in Rowan’s court. She knows that if she ever contacts him he will want nothing to do with her when he finds out who she is - his competition.

The Rebel" by Marni Mann, the second installment in the Spade Hotel Series, is a captivating and steamy tale that surpasses its predecessor. Stranded in a blizzard, Cooper Spade meets Rowan, a knockout with killer curves and a mouth that should be illegal. What starts as a fiery and explosive weekend of passion turns into a revelation that she is the enemy. Mann skillfully weaves a tale of intense chemistry, primal emotions, and unexpected twists, keeping the readers hooked from start to finish. Mann's writing style leaves a mark, blending sensuality with intrigue, making "The Rebel" an unforgettable read. With its sizzling touches and a thousand secrets, this book delivers a wild and thrilling experience that will leave readers eager for more.
Snowed in with only one bed...SAY LESS!! Spade Hotels executive, Cooper, is on site in Canada scouting property for the company's next luxury hotel when he finds himself stuck in the middle of a snow storm with nowhere to stay. While nursing a glass of whiskey 🥃 at a hotel bar, the most gorgeous woman sits next to him. While he has no idea who she is, Rowan knows exactly who Cooper is && every reason she shouldn't involve herself with him. But one taste 🤭 && there's no going back now! 🌨️
This book had me hooked from the dedication && it did not disappoint!! The growth between these two characters was so real && powerful. Their intimacy was off the charts 📈 && so so hot 🥵! @marnimann never misses!!
Don't miss the next Spade Hotels book releasing June 6!
Marni Mann has done it again!! I absolutely binged this novel as quickly as I could. I read an arc copy of this novel, and I am so thankful I got the opportunity to do so! This novel focuses on Cooper and Rowan who meet while in a bar while both being stranded while on business near Christmas. The two have instant connection that becomes passionate. Rowan ultimately keeps a huge secret from Cooper that could jeopardize everything. This had me hooting and hollering because of how good it is!!! Marni is a queen at writing passionate and hot love stories!
I was lucky to receive this book as an ARC and I'm so grateful because this book is a gem. While Cooper was on a business trip to Canada, his path crosses with Rowan. Rowan owned Cooper's heart at the first glance, there were sparks which both of them couldn't deny. They get snowed in and spend three days together in Rowan's suite. Cooper knows that he couldn't let go of Rowan, ever. But there's a twist in the tale. There's something which only Rowan knows but Cooper doesn't. Someone turn the AC on, because this book is hotter than hell. Marni does it again. She's one of my favorite authors and she successfully made me fall in love with her work again. Cooper Spade is the definition of Alpha male, who's dominant, sexy and caring. He's definitely my favorite Spade brother (for now, because there'll be more books in the series!). Rowan is so perfect, she's strong and hardworking. She has the courage to fight for her believes and I loved that about her. Rowan and Cooper, together are like the most spiciest pepper in the world. Their chemistry is chemistrying. I'm obsessed with this book now. If you want to read a really, really good book, do read this one.
So this was my attempt to give this author another shot and, sadly, it has just solidified I need to avoid her books. The spice is okay, but for me, her characters never have any chemistry. I love a good billionaire trope, but the men in her books are not desirable to me because they are so immature. I didn't realize this was a surprise pregnancy going in, but I could see it a mile away. For me, it didn't add anything to the story. And the whole reason their families 'hate' each other was lackluster. I expected something much bigger.
Thank you to Netgalley for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.
After being thoroughly disappointed by The Playboy, this surprised me in the best way possible. Easily one of my 2024 favorites and worthy of five stars. Also, Brady is such an asshole I can’t wait to read his book.
I was NOT prepared to fall in love with Cooper as much as I did. Now I loved The Playboy but I loved The Rebel even more! Macon walked so Cooper could run! Marni really out did herself with this one!
The Rebel is the second book in the Spade Hotel series which is an interconnected billionaire romance series and you do not need to read The Playboy in order to read this book but I do suggest reading it to get an introduction into the family and Cooper. This book is told in a Dual POV with Cooper and Rowan as the main characters. Cooper is the heir to the Spade Hotel and found himself in Canada looking at property for their next hotel location when he finds himself stranded in Canada during Christmas due to a snowstorm. But his luck turns around when he meets beautiful stranger in the hotel lobby and spends 3 blissful days tangled up in the sheets. As their tryst comes to an end and he heads back to LA, he leaves without her last name or number. But little does he know, Rowan knows exactly who he is and is his company's competitor.
💭 My Thoughts: If you read The Playboy and you didn't care for it, please give The Rebel a chance because I loved this one so much more! Cooper is similar to his brother Macon in the sense that he is a playboy with a tongue that does wonders and a filthy mouth that will bring you to your knees but he is also so much different. The relationship between Cooper and Rowan is also very different then the relationship in the first book. For one, I loved that the MC's are older with amazing communication skills. Yes Rowan leaves out her full identity but the way she communicates her thoughts and feelings to Cooper is truly amazing. Plus she's just a boss babe. Not only does she run a multi-billion dollar hotel chain but she knows exactly what she wants and that's Cooper. And let me tell you something, she has no problem letting him know it's him that she has her eyes set on.
At the end of the day, I truly loved this book! I felt like I read this one quicker then the first book because I was invested in the story. And I also loved that you got to see even more of the Spade family, which is making me excited for Brady's book! Can't wait to meet the woman that brings that man to his knees!
So if you are wondering if I recommend this book, the answer is yes. Even if you didn't like the first book in the series, I think you need to read this book because I guarantee you that Cooper will change your mind and make you weak in the knees!
*A HUGE thank you to Marni Mann and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.

Rowan and Cooper meet at the bar of a hotel while on a business trip. They were both supposed to head back home for the holidays but due to the snow, all the flights were delayed, and they were both stuck at the hotel for 3 days... with only one bed. They went back to LA, going their separate ways, Cooper didn't know her last name, but she knew his. Rowan and Cooper end up running into each other and start connecting again. The only thing is that Cooper finds out that she is part of the rival family. Now, Cooper is caught up believing he has to choose between his family and Rowan, and vice versa.
Marni Mann's books are always so fun to read, and her characters are unique in their own way. This is the 2nd book in the Spade Hotel series. You can read this as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the 1st book since this series follows brothers that are in business together; It would be easier to follow along with what's going on with the family if you were to read the 1st book. Rowan was such a boss lady; she was straight forward and always said what was on her mind. Cooper was so honest and straight forward as well, and I feel like that is what made these characters compatible with each other. After seeing glimpses of Cooper in The Playboy, I was excited to read this book, and it did not disappoint! I can't wait for the 3rd book to release!
Marni’s men are always soooo good and Cooper definitely didn’t let me down. 🤤
Rowan and Cooper may be my favorite couple from what I’ve read. I loved the way they met. It was the kind of insta-love/lust that just had me sitting with my mouth wide open, waiting to see what happened because I knew it was going to be good. And it didn’t disappoint at all. The immediate spice/dirty talk from Cooper had me drooling. Fast forward to their work life and it was still perfection. I absolutely loved Rowan in her family business. While she was often the peacemaker, she was still confident and able to go after what she wanted. I loved that although the family rivalry was and had been present for years upon years, Cooper and Rowan couldn’t help but be drawn to one another. Seeing them choose happiness for themselves despite their siblings protests was so heartwarming. I will say I was NOT expecting to cry. However, the ending of this book ended up getting me and I’m not mad about it in the least. While it definitely pulled on some heartstrings and was emotional, it was also heartwarming and made me smile so much. Overall, definitely still a Marni stan and DEFINITELY going to read everything she writes! Thank you Valentine PR and Marni for the e-ARC copy to read and review! 💖
