I had to run.
It was that, or marry a man my father auctioned me to when I was a little girl.

I knew my father wouldn’t make it easy, but color me surprised when he sends Caelian Del Rossa to find me.

The man is a menace.
Arrogant.
Infuriating.
Enigmatic.

He thinks he’s my knight in shining armor.
I’m convinced he’s nothing more than my father’s retriever.

Turns out my father asked the Dark Sovereign for help to get him out of the deal and me out of a marriage from hell.

Their solution?
Marry Caelian instead.

Granted, like me, he’s not exactly thrilled about it. But he’s a Del Rossa. Loyalty runs in his veins. He’ll do what’s expected of him.

But I’m not a puppet. I can’t be controlled or manipulated.
No smoldering looks or electrifying touches are going to tame me.

And definitely not that one little thing that seems to set every nerve in my body on fire.
The one thing that makes Caelian so dangerously seductive.

The hunt.

Holy Mother Of Moses this book is FREAKING EPIC. The 7th book in the Dark Sovereign series went beyond my expectations.
You’re going to be obsessed with these characters. Their bickering and bantering is absolutely priceless and amusing 😂 I love Giana’s sassiness. Caelian has definitely met his match. He may be use to getting his way but Giana challenges him at every turn and that makes for a highly INTERESTING and FASCINATING story.

The Del Rossa men are all dark, powerful and dirty talking but Caelian takes it up a notch with his proclivities. This man loves the hunt and thrives on capturing and enrapturing his prey. Giana may be the prey but this prey bites back!!
When these two turn on the heat it BOILS and it’s FLAMING HOT!!!

I am telling you this book pushes boundaries in the most EXHILARATING and STUNNING way. Every moment is mixed with such intensity and raw emotion.
When I say I couldn’t put this book down I mean it. I did not just want to see where Caelian and Giana would take me , I NEEDED it!!

So if your looking for an EXCITING, TANTALIZING and ENTERTAINING book to completely consume you.you will be THOROUGHLY DELIGHTED with this story and these PHENOMENAL characters.
BTW just a little warning, the cliffhanger at the end ( I didn’t see this coming) will gut you and leave you blubbering mess shouting out WHY!!
Bella J, you blow my mind with your masterful writing talents!

- sorry but the fmc was unbearable! I love a strong fmc that stands up for herself and isn’t a pushover but Giana did so in such a childish way. It was only giving immature and childish but not strong. her attitude and behavior made the whole book very hard to get through

- this is a personal preference thing but I hate mfm, it’s a huge turn off for me. I wish I knew this was a thing in this book beforehand.. in fact „sharing females within the family is apparently their families „thing (ew) and is part of every story in this series.. which is kinda lame and unoriginal if that storyline gets repeated in every book but oh well..

- also why is the guy on the cover so old (and unattractive 😫)

And just like that another Del Rossa brother has me swooning.

First and foremost however dare you with that cliffy! My heart can’t handle this, definitely need the next book ASAP.

This author is my go to for all the spice, plot and darkness I crave in a book. Caelian was everything I hoped he be a more, I loved his quick wit and sex appeal and my god was he protective. Giana, in my opinion, had every right to feel the way she felt- she behaved according to her situations and at times I felt for her. Now, these two together- you want enemies AND lovers you’ve got it ten fold with these two. The chemistry was off the charts. Truly a love hate relationship and I can’t wait to see where things go for them. But also back to that cliffy- I NEED MORE NOW!

ARC REVIEW
This was my first Bella J read.

Ok so feisty fmcs are my faves. But this one right here just seemed stupid. Why exactly is she fighting the mmc???? I found myself rolling my eyes at her. She acted like a 15 year old. It got old pretty quick.

This honestly made it hard for me to get through most of the book. I didn't really have a problem with anything else.

I don't think this will stop be from trying out some of Bella's other books, this just wasn't the fmc for me.

What a change of pace! I never anticipated the humor and bantering, it had me giggling! Two head strong characters battling it out! The passion growing and turning explosive! With all the excitement I never would have been prepared for the ending! Shocked and anxiety kicked in, now I’m desperate for the next one! Awesome read!

Do you love Arranged Marriage Mafia Romance?

I know I do
And I have a rec for you guys

How about an arranged marriage straight out of hell.
(Bella Quote)

- 𝙲𝚊𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗 -
Book 7 in The Dark Sovereign Series. 📚
(Can be read as a standalone.)

Releasing April 23. Is coming real soon.!!!

*enemies to lovers
*arranged marriage
*forced to marry someone else
*spicy 5/5 💦
*man that likes to hunt

“This game, this hunt, it’s a symphony to me, and every woman who runs through the field is a note in a crescendo of lust.

Little review

Giana father arranges her to marry a very dangerous man many years ago. The time has come and this man wants his wife.
She refuses and runs away.
Her father turns to the Dark sovereign men for help. They agree and the brothers force 𝙲𝚊𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗 to go find her and marry her. So she is protected. 𝙲𝚊𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗 likes the chase so what does he do he chases her.

But he’s not that happy about it, she is pissed and flights him a lot. Their story is enemies to lovers. The lovers part (sparks fly) ⚡️❤️‍ if you know Bella you know she is the queen of spice. This story is right up there with her spiciest books. There is one part. I died.

She knows what her readers want.! ALWAYS.!

The enemies part was brilliant. The back and forth. The banter, the way they goad each other was the best.

This story is a classic Mafia Romance and I loved it. It felt original and just a classic story.

It ends on a big cliffhanger. Am I okay. Not really. But I’m happy it’s not over. I can’t wait for more of 𝙲𝚊𝚎𝚕𝚒𝚊𝚗 and Giana.
Also I’m still seriously desperate for Tobias book.

Quotes-
“She wants to run. She wants to escape. But at the same time, she craves to submit.

“God, you smell like sin. My favorite scent.

The Lesser of Two Evils

Welcome to book #7 in the ever-so-addictive Dark Sovereign series! Buckle up, because this is the wild ride of Caelian Del Rossa and Giana Belucci.

Now, Caelian. Oh, Caelian. The bad boy you can’t help but love. He’s not just the spare heir to his twin brothers—Alexius, the brooding Dark Sovereign head honcho (Books 1-3), and Nicoli, the muscle and menace in a suit (Books 4-6). Oh no, Caelian is the “clean-up guy with a moral compass so loose it’s practically spinning, a serious control kink, and a predatory streak that makes him love the chase. What can I say? The man’s got hobbies.

Enter Giana: daughter of a man who was best buds with the late Del Rossa patriarch. She’s got sass for days, zero time for nonsense, and a desperate desire for a life that’s all hers—complete with romance, freedom, and definitely no arranged marriage, thank you very much. So, when Daddy dearest decides to marry her off like it’s the Middle Ages, Giana nopes right out of there faster than you can say “runaway bride.

But wait! There’s more. Daddy, suddenly having second thoughts but stuck in the unbreakable contract from hell, goes running to the Del Rossa brothers for a loophole. Their ironclad rule? No touching another man's wife. The solution? Marry her off to a Del Rossa instead. Guess who’s single and next in line? Yep, Caelian. And off he goes on the world's most reluctant scavenger hunt to drag Giana back.

Now, Giana’s choices? Ugh. Talk about picking between two evils—kind of like choosing between a shark and a crocodile. And let’s just say neither of them are doing cartwheels over the whole forced marriage thing. Cue the sparks. And by sparks, I mean literal objects flying across the room, like vases, lamps, and—whoops!—maybe a punch or two.

But underneath the screaming, breaking, and general chaos is history. Yep, these two know each other just didn’t realize it, thanks to some oh-so-convenient masks in their past. And when that chemistry kicks in? Whew! Banter is sizzling, tension is high, and oh yes, there’s steam. So much steam. You’ll need a fan.

Throw in a power-hungry creep, a jilted ex with more greed than sense, and the promise of even more drama in the next book, and I’m already pacing, impatiently waiting for the next one! Because I need to know how this all ends, and I’m not above begging.

Story ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 (rounded up)

“This is the motherfucking ultimate hunt. This isn’t planned. It’s not orchestrated. There are no expectations, pre-emptive warnings, or programmed instincts. This is raw. This is real. And it sings in my bones.

DAMN YOU, CLIFFHANGER!!!

What the actual F?!?!?!!? Did we know this was going to be more than one book??? I know the two previous brothers had trilogies so I should have known. Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I was losing my sh*t when I was already at 90% and events were not wrapping up in a nice red bow yet.
I was like WHAT IS GOING ON HERE.

Giana was grating my nerves in the beginning/middle of the story. Her constant bratty ways made me a bit twitchy. Hence the rating.

Caelian, on the other hand, was PUUUUR-FECT. I would give him 10 stars!

My brain is mush right now.

SIDEBAR: As is with every book especially Mafia/Cartel/Bratva/organized crime books, read the TW before you start reading. And especially if you aren't comfortable with certain fantasies, sharing etc.

DNF

Where to start? I couldn’t vibe w the FMC she drove me crazy. There’s stubborn and then there’s just ridiculous. She was not a likeable person at all. Spoiled. Bratty. Selfish. Mouthy. Should I go on? She didn’t care people were trying to help her. I’m so disappointed. I’ve read all this authors other books. This was just bad.

DNF - I like this author and have read many of her series but have come to realize that I don't like them all. Some are too long and some just don't provide a storyline or characters that is worth my time or money.

I tried another book from the Sovereign series to see if had improved since 2022 ...it had not. If you are into 17th-18th century Thor/Gothic/sexual brutality/2024 style which includes an obsessive dominate man and less than stellar MFC, then you may like this book. Giana's character lacked depth and was too childish and immature for my taste. The prologue that features "The Hunt" was a taste of what is to come. It reminded me of some twisted plot about men who get off on "hunting women at night in a forest", like animals. They catch and basically rape them all in the name of good fun. Additionally, the women who supposedly consent to being run down like a fox in in a hunt were cast as fulfilling some kind of warped sexual fantasy of being a damsel in distress that is raped and pillaged by a dominate pursuer.

The entire story falls to pieces when Caelian involves his wife in threesomes. I tolerated Caelian's character, but never liked him. He reminded me of a sexual predator that is given the keys to the city. Giana's character needed a mature reset. She came off as being very childish. The story never reached a point that I wanted to know what happened next and quickly became a "Hard no" for me. I prefer mature main characters that know how to navigate the storyline without making their sexual kinks a vocal point. A story needs balance and strong characters to keep the plot in check.

I seldom read Gothic/Thor themed genres because I have very little interest in that kind of fiction

This book continues the rollercoaster ride of Dark Sovereign. Caelian and Giana's story is super sharp, dark, and deliciously sexy with a well-built plot.

Bella J writes complex characters with depth and provocative topics - and she always delivers on the emotion. The twists and turns are epic. Can't wait for part two of Caelian and Giana's journey.

WHAT CAN I SAY ...WOWWW!!!! ..THIS IS BELLA J ... AND THIS WAS CAELIAN !!!
Silly me I forgot both previous brothers Alexius and Nicoli got 3 stories each and I was avariciously getting to the end and did NOT SEE THAT CLIFFHANGER coming. Aaarggghhhh !!! Whyyy Bella ..not with a seemingly dead Alexius on the ground !!! Noooooo ...my fave Del Rosa King cannot die...not today !! Hurry up and give us HIS BRIDE !!
I need to see Caelian fall off his dirty filthy sexy high horse for Giana !! Yes ...this I have to see, although he has already sensed this fact, never mind him pretending he does not know !!! and even more so the recovery and return of Alexius !! Don't break my heart now Bella !!!

What I didn’t like:
Giana is an over sexed and immature brat. Her life depends on protection coming from Caelian and his brothers. She fights it all the way. That’s not a strong independent woman. That’s stupidity.
The sharing. It’s been done in previous books. I hate it. The scene with Isaias way not hot (to me). It was beyond filthy and I have no idea why Caelian initiated it. He broods about it after.
The cliffhanger.

What I liked:
The Del Rossa family and their women.
The “mafia parts.
Caelian’s fall into love with Giana. Oh he hates the idea and he fights it. But it’s there. Guess he’ll figure it out next book.

This was disappointing. I’ve enjoyed the Dark Sovereign universe for a while now but this book just fell flat for me. Everything felt rushed, Caelian, whose book I’ve been waiting for, seemed rather different than the guy we’ve gotten fun glimpses of before, and Giana avoided the life out of me.

Caelian by Bella J., is the seventh book in the Dark Sovereign Series, it's the turn of the third in line of the Del Rossa, Caelian is a relaxed guy and is focused on having a good time, his way of dealing with tension is to joke and constantly telling jokes, and unless it's something related to his family he takes everything very relaxed, when we meet him again we first see him involved in one of his favorite kinks, there he meets a woman who awakens his persecution instincts even more in it, but even though he tries he can't get his name. Some time later, in a meeting with his brothers, he finds out that his father's counselor and friend needs their help to save his daughter from a marriage that he had arranged when she was a child, but of which he regrets of that agreement because the person he promised his daughter to is a cruel man. While they decide a way to help him without creating an unnecessary war, one of his brothers comes up with the idea of marrying the girl to Caelian, he once refuses but when his brothers make him see that it's the only solution, he knows that be part of the family is to make sacrifices for the good of all and this will be his, so now he must go bring back his future wife and convince her to accept. Giana Belucci is a mafia princess, who when she sees that the date of her imminent wedding with Aurelio Le Fonti is approaching, decides to flee, but she thought that they would not find her where she had fled, but it turns out that her father always knew where she was, but it's not he who comes to look for her but Caelian Del Rossa. When he proposes the deal to save her from her fate, both are equally bad for her, since she does not want to get married, and after a bit of coercion she will be married to Caelian, but the danger will still be latent when Aurelio tries to get her back and this will put her in danger ans also his new family.
This series is addictive and this book remains the same, these characters are twisted, dangerous, lethal but charming, I was glued to the story and that ending left me with my heart in my mouth, thank goodness I have the next book in my hands because otherwise I couldn't sleep without knowing the fate of these characters. If you enjoy dark romance stories combined with mafia, these stories are for you. If you haven't done so yet, go read them now because you won't regret it. I loved this story!!!!! Totally, Absolutely and Completely Recommended!

Inoltre, continui a flirtare.»

«Congratulazioni, signora Del Rossa. Siamo sposati.

Oh my.... FIRST OFF...THAT ENDING... I'M SO FROZEN RIGHT NOW😲😱😱
Seriously, I need that next book already. 😢

I have to say Bella J always delivers a scrumptious and piping hot, loaded with too-hot-to-handle spice kinda book if you love your heroes to be twisted, a little crack in the head and almost unredeemable yet you can't help but drool over their twisted games that light you up and set you on fire with a fiery passion that's an inferno unleashed and Caelian and Giana together were certainly insanely - Intense on crack.

What adds to the overall heat level and the chemistry is how much they hate each other yet are unable to find resistance to their undeniable attraction.

What's crazy is you can feel the hate between them and honestly it's all justifiable too as Caelian is such an arrogant and annoying man who takes Giana for granted and the way he goes about his responsibility towards her, had me also equally furious towards him.

But I can't deny the fact that the brothers, The Dark Sovereign, didn't have to help out and yet they push Caelian ahead as a kinda warrior to go ahead and become a shield to Giana who would otherwise be tackled and eaten up by her worst enemy.

Poor Giana, really the way she felt was right too because of how all her choices were taken away from her. Yet that girl was a fighter even if she seemed a tad bit childish at times. You can't deny the fiery spirit that's Giana for you.

Once again though battle lines have already been drawn and, The Dark Sovereign have to be ready for the worst as the one they have unknowingly crossed wouldn't stay silent for long.

Let me be forward and say that if you have moral boundaries for where🔥 times are concerned then you'd rather not read this one because this one will deliver on its promise of debauchery and filthy times, which might not be everyone's cup of tea.
But for me, I freaking loved how Bella shocks me when I see something that was totally unexpected and has temperatures soaring.
Yet the dilemma of being possessed by someone's thoughts when you don't want it to be, I loved seeing Caelian so tormented and Giana having her fantasy come to life. 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥

BUT... THAT...ENDING.....OH MY FREAKING GOODNESS.... I NEED THE NEXT BOOK ALREADY....DAYUMM... WHAT A DEADLY CLIFFY. IF THERE WAS EVER ONE IT HAS TO BE THIS.😱😱😲...
Loved loved this one.❤️❤️❤️❤️

A steamy, amusing & dramatic ride

After reading the previous six books in Bella J's Dark Sovereign series, I couldn't wait to read CAELIAN. Unlike the other books this one had me breaking out in fits of laughter. Of course there was a touch of suspense, some really hot passion, and plenty of drama, all combining to make CAELIAN an UNPUTDOWNABLE read. Bella drew me in with her non-stop action, terrific characters, and an ending that had me screaming NOOOOOOOO!!! So, strap yourself in for a steamy, amusing, and dramatic ride.

Caelian Del Rossa finds himself in a situation he never expected to be, but for the good of the family he will do whatever he must to save the peace. I loved Caelian, his filthy mouth, his powerful demeanor, and his penchant for being a predator who enjoys chasing his prey. Giana Belucci was simply magnificent. She finds herself promised in an arranged marriage, one she definitely does not want, so running away is her answer. Giana is one if the sassiest heroines I've come across, she sure knows how to give as good as she gets. When Caelian is sent to retrieve her, let's just say nothing is ever easy for a Del Rossa man when a feisty woman is involved.

Caelian and Giana were perfectly matched, both challenging each other to the utmost limit. Their banter was absolutely superb, hilarious at times. and definitely hot and raunchy at other times. The heat and chemistry between them were molten, to the point where they struggled to keep their hands off each other. I melted with their games of "chase", predator and prey, both salacious with their need. While Caelian is a predator, he is also a powerful and deadly protector, harming Giana is a definite NO in his eyes. Then again, Giana is no meek little lamb, that woman had some fight in her.

CAELIAN is a fast-paced, non-stop action, suspenseful read with several twists and turns thrown in. With Giana's supposed fiancé determined to get her back no matter what it takes, Bella has ensured her readers a deadly, violent, and wild ride. Of course, this is not the end of Caelian and Giana's story, it will continue in The Bride. Now to wait, not so patiently, for the outcome of that shocking cliffhanger!!!

CAELIAN is another phenomenal read from Bella J.

So, this book is basically for my fellow book lovers who always seem to go for the guys with red flags and can't get enough of arranged marriage plots. After finishing it, I was like, "What did I just read?" I literally stared at my wall for a bit, debating whether to chuck my Kindle or start making theories about the next book.

If you haven't checked out Bella J's books, you're missing out. She's all about morally gray characters who'd do anything for their girls, even if they're a bit unhinged but kinda cute and psycho. Her stories are gripping, with solid plots and enough spice to keep you on your toes.

"Caelian" is part of the "Dark Sovereign" series,it can be read as a standalone but for better understanding of the characters you should start with the first book of this series.

This book is about Giana and Caelian trying to find their way back to each other. Giana's always been trapped by her father's choices, and this time is no different. She's been promised to a guy who wrecked their lives, so she bolts. Her dad ropes in the Del Rossa brothers, specifically Caelian, to track her down and marry her off to save her from the arranged marriage mess.

Giana's a tough cookie who's had enough of being pushed around, but circumstances force her back into captivity, this time with Caelian. He's a sarcastic, self-centered guy, but he's all about keeping Giana safe. Plus, there's some serious chemistry between them, and he's starting to realize she might just be the one he's been searching for.

I had a blast reading this. The banter between Caelian and Giana is gold, and seeing her fight for her freedom is inspiring. And let's talk spice Bella's got that covered, as always!

This book is calling your name! Huge thanks to the Literally PR Agency and the author for sending me this ARC. 🙌🏼

Holy Moly! Bella J's Dark Sovereign series just keeps getting better...

This is book #7 in the Dark Sovereign series. This one tells Caelian Del Rossa and Giana's story and dang, but it doesn't end here and...that a cliff hanger!

I love Caelian. He's next in line after his older twin brothers, Alexius, Dark Sovereign head (Books 1-3) and Nicoli, the right hand (Books 4-6) Caelian handles enforcement and what ever else his brothers need from him. He's the wicked man-Wxxxx brother, with a control and a hunter-prey kin. He loves the hunt. Giana is the daughter of a man who was best friends with the Del Rossa brothers' deceased father. She's strong, sassy and wants a life of her own choosing. She wants freedom, to live, find love....so when she discovers the man her father arranged for her to marry is coming for her she runs.

There are reasons Giana's father has a change of heart, but not being able to get out of the contract, he goes to the Del Rossa's for help. Their rules state you can't mess with another man's wife, so it's decided that marriage to a Del Rossa is the only answer. Caelian, next in line and still single, is the obvious choice and he's sent to find her and bring her back.

Neither is happy about the marriage arrangement and the sparks fly...and her fist, and vases and lamps....like I said, she's fiesty and stubborn. But there's more to the sparks than just anger at the situation, because these two have a history the didn't realize because masks were worn. The banter and the steam between these two is scorching. Add in a ruthless, jilted creep wh only cares about more money and power and is not willing to give up the power he stands to gain with her and you have one hot and dangerous story. Now I'm dying for the next one to see what happens! I'm not typically a fan of 3 book series that end in cliff hangers, but Bella J's Dark Sovereign series is an exception....and Oh Man, I loved this story!

Everything about her tastes like the best forbidden fruit. Sweet, dark, with an edge.

In Bella J's latest addition to the intoxicating Dark Sovereign series, she plunges readers into the depths of Caelian's dark and dangerous world, infused with a tantalizing edge of sarcasm that's as intoxicating as it is lethal. With each turn of the page, Bella J masterfully weaves a tale that teeters on the razor's edge between heart-pounding romance and spine-chilling suspense.

The brilliance of Bella J's storytelling shines through as she effortlessly balances moments of witty banter that leave readers grinning from ear to ear, with scenes that grip them by the throat, refusing to let go until the very last word. In this dark and dangerous ride, love blossoms amidst the shadows, yet its tendrils are laced with the unmistakable scent of danger.

As the heat between the characters ignites, Bella J doesn't hold back, delivering scorching passion that sizzles off the page like molten lava, leaving readers breathless and craving more. In the volatile dance between the wolf who thrives on the chase and the reluctant prey who secretly yearns to be caught, Bella J paints a vivid portrait of desire and danger colliding in a fiery inferno of emotions.

But make no mistake, this is no ordinary romance. Set against the backdrop of the unforgiving mafia world, where brutality and passion go hand in hand, Bella J's narrative grips readers by the throat, leaving them gasping for breath with a cliffhanger that's as tantalizing as it is torturous. And with a husband's obsession looming ominously in the shadows, readers are left trembling with anticipation, eagerly awaiting the next instalment of this spellbinding saga.

“You can’t quench that thirst you have for danger, for adrenaline. It’s in your blood, like a forbidden drug you crave more than the next breath. The more you run, the louder you cry out to be found.

Giana’s father Renzo, had been one of the Del Rossa brothers fathers best friends. He had made a marriage deal with Aurelio’s family, when Giana was only a girl, but now that Aurelio’s older he’s a cruel and sadistic man. So he turns to the Dark Sovereign brothers and asks if one of them will marry his daughter for protection.
But Giana has run. At the moment, her father knows that she’s in NYC but not his enemy.
Caelian likes to hunt and chase, so he has no problem flying out to NYC and bringing her back.
She reminds him of a woman that he’d chased a year ago through the forest during one of his hunts. She’d turned out to be a virgin and he’d never forgotten her. When he realised that it had been Giana, he was happier with the arrangement even though he’d not been looking for marriage.
Giana just wanted to be left alone and not have to get married at all. She understood her father’s logic but it wasn’t fair. She’d wanted to marry for love like her parents had.
Reluctant every step of the way, she fought Caelian like a hellcat making for a volatile relationship with plenty of dry wit, caustic comebacks and humorous banter. But Aurelio is bitter about the betrayal, and still considers Giana his bride
This was one heck of a ride. Caelian is literally only stepping up to the altar because he has to, not wants to. Giana feels exactly the same but bitter because it’s so much easier if you’re a man in this dark world. Apart from their dry wit and banter throughout this ordeal, one thing neither of them can deny is their chemistry…ever since that first night in the forest. But they’re all in danger, not just Giana. The Dark Sovereign name offers her protection, but Caelian worries that the fall out could spark a bloody war
Absolutely superb with another of Bella J’s climatic cliffhangers.

This book is not for the faint of heart - please heed all possible trigger warnings. But for this reader, all I can say is HOLY COW WHAT A READ! Bella J has taken readers on a decadent, romantic thriller with Caelian’s story. It’s dark, twisted and kept me on edge throughout the storyline - to the point I read into the wee hours of the morning to finish it, as I literally could not put it down.

Caelian and Giana are a match made in - oh dear I’m sure if it’s heaven or hell. They are thrown together and forced to marry for Giana’s protection. But neither is happy about it. To Caelian, Giana is his prey to break and bend to his will, no matter how deviant his wants are. He lives for the thrill of the hunt and she’s his prey. As for Giana, her body may want him, but her mind and heart hate him. Caelian pulls out the dark hidden desires she craves yet fights at every turn. The interaction between these two is raw, gritty and tantalizing. The author took us on a ride of seduction with fear, hate, want, determination and so much more at every turn. I loved almost every page of this book (the ending all but gutted my heart) but seeing as it ended on a cliffy, I can only sit here on pins and needles waiting for what I can only assume will be the gripping ending to Caelian and Giana’s story.

If you haven’t started the Dark Sovereign, I can’t recommend Bella J’s extraordinary writing talents with this series enough, and I would Highly recommend reading them in order. Again these books are not for the faint of heart but they are perfect for those that want a raw, gritty, intense, sexually dark, captivating series. (Trust me I could go on and on with adjectives that depict this series).

Oh the sparks!

Bella, once again, had me glued to my seat. She wrote a drama that left me heart broken for months!

Caelian, the seventh blisteringly hot steamy book in the DS series. It tells the story of Giana Bullchi and Caelian Del Rossa as a stubborn fidgety couple whose life is flipped upside down when a marriage deal is proposed.

The book has been described by one of the reviewers as an original and a classic Mafia Romance story, and it is indeed a classic one but with much more spice added to it. The book has a nice opening. The first chapter was sordid yet captivating. Caelian is every inch the man we had subtle glimpses of from the previous books. He hilariously reviled a suggestion made by his brother, but little did he know that what lies in it is the one thing that has been drawing him down into an emotional whirlpool.

Caelian’s warped sense of humour and Giana’s immature yet inspiring feistiness is what makes this book so enjoyable to read as well as the spicy tension between the two.

I was not prepared for the ending of this book. The climactic moment was upsetting. There appeared to be a heart-wrenching cliffhanger that left me guessing. It broke my heart! I’m still catching on to it. ‘Did Leandra check for a pulse? I wondered. 💔 I am anxiously awaiting the next book of the duet 'His Bride to read about how the brothers will push vengeance on the Le Fonti family, and how Giana and Caelian’s story comes to an end.

I especially loved the scenes that include the other couples we know and love from the previous books. And the Del Rossa brothers' good-natured earthy banter was so amusing in this one!

The series comes with trigger warnings.

How can a book make me laugh and keep me on the edge of my seat at the same time with that element of fear for what I’m going to read next? There’s so much dry wit and verbal sparring between Caelian and Gianna throughout the book that I couldn’t help but laugh at the humour. I really can’t forget the idea that Gianna would rather take her “chances in a tank with a hungry shark than have fun with Caelian. Both have been forced into a situation and both are not happy about it but, whereas Caelian is more accepting of his duty, Gianna is all spit and fire, testing his patience to the limit.
As with all the Del Rossa men, there’s a strong pull towards their women, together with feelings of possessiveness and wanting to protect them, and Caelian is no exception. Gianna is a good match for him, showing the same tendencies and they take great delight in pushing each others buttons! It’s Alexius I feel sorry for, trying to steer a way through problems involving the family but having to deal with yet another impulsive brother who doesn’t want to listen! Added to that, there’s more trouble brewing in the form of a threat from a power hungry adversary.
I love all these Del Rossa men. Despite their actions and line of work, there’s something really likeable about them and the way they interact with each other. I had no idea that Caelian would be so hilarious. As I’ve come to expect from this author, there’s some beautiful descriptive language, particularly when describing the characters feelings. This book is an intense and passionate Mafia romance with plenty of action, suspense and an unexpected ending with a further instalment to come.

Okay something about the Dark Sovereing series just gets hotter with each brother coming to light. We have third sexiest, hottest and well stubborn Del Rossa brother, Caelian. Now in previous stories we see he has a secret and boy there is just something mysterious about Caelian that will get you going. His motto in life is to just have fun, enjoy and do the chasing until his thirst goes away. This is more than just a cat and mouse thrill for him when it comes to Giana it is deeper for him. Here is a woman who does not fall for his charms, looks and yes even the sexiness. Giana is definitely a woman he has never encountered before and in a way it is because of her that has him rethinking the whole marriage charade. I loved how Giana knows what she wants and fits perfectly with the Del Rossa wives, this is one woman that will not just cower and hide. One thing for sure this is more than a lust/love hate relationship it is a marriage that will destroy everything Caelian thought of himself. Bella J, however is a tease and just when you think you know going to happen she gives us a cliffhanger. Not just a simple one but a huge cliffhanger that will make you quesetion why repeatedly. Readers will see not just these two but the whole Del Rossa family is back, spirited, feisty and oh so demanding as usual. Loved it and definitely waiting for what will happen now.
