This colorful graphic novel follows lovable losers Jay and Kay, whose quotidian adventures are often hilarious and occasionally poignant, calling to mind everything from Peanuts to the work of Simon Hanselmann. John Pham’s simple-seeming stories of best friends Jay and Kay and their misfit friends weave in and out, with unexpectedly sad twists and comical turns, all steered by Pham’s mastery of the cartooning craft and the language of comics storytelling. Pham’s bold use of bright color and high hilarity draws the reader in, only to slowly reveal extra layers of psychological acuity, character depth, and existential gravitas. For all of its emotional richness, at its heart, J + K Ìýremains laugh out loud funny throughout, whether driven by Pham’s gift for memorable one-liners, his expertly delivered sight gags, or the inherent humor in his character designs and their physicality on the page. Combined with Pham’s brilliant use of color and innate grasp of printing, packaging, and graphic design, J + K Ìýis a chiseled gem of comics perfection. Full-color illustrations throughout

I found it in a bookstore and read it. It's a very pretty book and I love graphic novels and comics so I enjoyed it. Reading it feels like you're going on an adventure with the characters. There's also some elements of fiction and fantasy in it which is fun. It does a good job of conveying and making u feel emotions. I like the fake ads in it too. It's a fun and unique book with some serious and relatable themes. I recommend it

The art style is well done, but the story itself didn’t grab me. It’s basically yet another stoner comics where characters are mean to their friend (not very original and at this point just feels like a try-hard) and are acting stupidly. the jokes fell flat and the characters weren’t very interesting. They’re mostly mean to each other which gets old quick. While the artwork shows talent, the writing and humor just didn’t land for me and felt like a bland version of Megahex or Everything sucks

There was not a single thing I liked about this comic. I didn’t think it was funny, I didn’t like the characters, the art wasn’t overly nice to look at, and comparing this to the Peanuts is downright insulting.
