Easy Reader Level 1
Humorous story for beginning readers. The dinosaurs are holding a race and readers get to move along with them. Each dino has their own wheels to participate. Love the ending when everyone wins together. Sweet message of community at an appropriate level for lower elementary readers.

September 24, 2024I thought this book's text is way too hard for an early reader. "Banners waving, spotlights glowing" seems pretty complicated for me, to either sound out or to comprehend. And then it has dino names, too, which I thought, well those aren't sight words. I do like the style of the illustrations and the story is ok - but why can't there be a winner?

This was such a cute kids book for level 1 readers. This book had wonderful artwork and a great, easy to read story. Young readers are sure to enjoy this fun book about dinosaurs racing.

Another Ready*To*Read winner from Kaz Windness. It’s a roaring, rollicking, rhyming read. Love this author-illustrator’s signature palette and art style. The kiddos are going to love practicing their reading skills with this one.

A level one Ready to Read book, Go! Go! Dino!, has sight words and works to sound out within the story. The premise of the story is funny and engaging and the illustrations helps reinforce what the reader is learning.

A T-rex on a unicycle, a triceratops on a tricycle, a stegosaurus on roller blades, and a brontosaurus on a skateboard arrive at the park to race around the track. The rhyming, rhythmic text makes for an exciting read aloud as the tension of the race builds before the somewhat unexpected climax. Windness's use of bright, eye-catching color stands out along with the catchy text. This is the kind of book that a child is likely to want to hear over and over again, especially the dinosaur-loving ones. A fun book bound to be popular with children just learning to read.
