Her white coat hides a dark past, but his blazing touch makes her want to trade peril for passion.

Ice Queen. That’s Dr. Tiffany Hart’s nickname in the hospital, but when she meets red-hot new hire Dr. Ethan Clark she loses her cool. He’s arrogant, annoying, and stupidly handsome.

That’s okay. Frozen from a past filled with danger and betrayal, Tiffany is immune to charming men, even if they remember her favorite coffee and let her pick what to watch on TV.

Dr. Ethan Clark comes from a long line of famous doctors. Wanting to escape his legacy and forge his own path, he’s happy to transfer to Tiffany’s hospital. Especially when he lays eyes on the fiery redhead doctor assigned to train him.

Sure, she looks like she wants to punch him most of the time, but he can’t ignore the sparks between them so he vows to thaw her icy heart.

When Ethan and Tiffany are sent back to his home hospital and then to a medical conference at Disney World, they’re forced to share close quarters. And when Tiffany’s past finally catches up to them, they have to fight for their lives.

Can this prescription for disaster turn into happily ever after?

Paging Dr. Hart is a swoon-inducing, page-turning, medical romance novel. Read if you like enemies-to-lovers, forced proximity, reverse grumpy-sunshine, slow-burn chemistry, and pulse-pounding suspense.

I did not expect to take to romance novels, but they are proving to be a refreshing change. I especially like those which have good characters and backstories, like this one does.

Tiffany is training to be a radiologist. In a presentation, she is corrected by a man in the audience. Dr Washburn, her boss, asks her to interview someone for a first-year radiology position. Tiffany, finds to her irritation that it is the same guy who questioned her in the presentation - Ethan Clark. He is from Cleveland, and his parents are doctors. Their professional interaction kicks off on the wrong foot. Ethan is very good looking, talkative and charming; and he finds Tiffany’s aloof attitude (a few refer to her as “ice queen behind her back) to be fascinating. Tiffany receives some text and images from an unknown number alluding to her past, which she finds disturbing.

Tiffany has had a difficult childhood & teen years in Vegas. After a painful struggle, her mother passed away, and she has no close family left. A neighbour, Mr Chen, supported her. Shelly was a friend during that time and along with another man Rafe, they plan a scheme to make money which Tiffany regrets later.

I liked the backstories for both Tiffany and Ethan. The characters are well developed. The later part of the story is predictable and a couple of threads are quite needlessly left open.

This is a nice light read for the most part, which I enjoyed.

My rating: 4.25 / 5.

📖 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚 𝐃𝐲𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝

I absolutely adore this author’s writing. The first book I read from her was 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫. I devoured it in a day. Going into this second book by her I knew it was going to have some suspense, but I was blown away by how completely different the tone and feel of 𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭 was from 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫. The range of emotions the author is able to write and her character development is incredible.

Paging Dr. Hart is essentially two stories in one that coalesce at the ending perfectly. The dual timeline is Tiffany’s childhood vs her present life.

Tiffany is a survivor, and the chapters that showed her past had my heart in knots. Throughout the course of the book she has to learn how to open her heart again, and Ethan helps her do that.

This is a very suspenseful story and I loved it. Your mind is trying to workout who is the villain(s) and what exactly happened in her past. When everything is revealed, I couldn’t help but feel sympathy for them.

Ethan was a fantastic book boyfriend. He fits the “he falls first and harder trope perfectly. This man only knew her for a few hours and was already defending her against men intimidated by her.

"𝘋𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘺?" 𝘐 𝘢𝘴𝘬 𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺.

The Disneyland scenes were so freaking wholesome they gave me all the warm butterflies in my tummy.

This is a slow burn but once the spice enters the room, she comes in HOT! 🥵 (2🌶)

There is so much potential for future stories set in this world and I truly cannot wait to see how the author develops them!

𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐫𝐭 releases on June 17! I will 1000% be recommending this book to all of my fellow bibliophiles and will definitely need a physical copy in my little library!

4🌟! This was amazing!! Let me just say Ethan is the biggest green flag to exist. His love and patience and care for Tiffany makes my heart feel warm. I LOVED the flashbacks to Tiffany’s past life and i love how we got closure for everything in the end. I highly recommend this book if you’re wanting some black cat/ golden retriever vibes. Also the many hidden taylor swift lyrics had me giggling 🤭. I LOVE the fact this was a slow burn romance. It was just so SWEET. I love greys anatomy so this being a medical romance has just made me wanna read HEAPS MORE. Also shoutout to Mr. Chen 😊😊. I look forward to reading more from Dr. Melissa Dymond in the future!!! A huge thank you to Netgalley and Victory Editing for providing me with this ARC ❤️‍🔥❤️‍! Paging Dr. Hart will be released on the 17th of June.

Different and tough to put down!
~~~~~~~~
Sometimes you run across a book that surprises you. I honestly wasn’t expecting too much, just another romance in a different setting.
But this author surprised me with her storytelling through alternating chapters of today and the past which culminate at the end for an exciting suspense-filled love story.
Dymond has created two amazing characters that just jump off the page. Not only from the physical descriptions but also their personalities. You can almost feel their very being through the images that she paints with her words.
The author gives us their vulnerability, their fears, their mistakes, and their regrets. But she also shares their tenacity and strength, as well as their love and kindness. Hot and spicy with some suspense too! This book truly has so much going for it.
I’ve never heard of this author before as she is a pretty new author. But I’m certainly going to continue to read her stories.
Paging Dr. Hart kept calling me back to keep on reading. I read late into the night and did not want to stop! That surely is a sign of a wonderful storyteller. I can’t wait to read more from her.
“When I finally do, the bad dreams chase me into the darkness.
unexpected story about fighting your past and present.it’s difficult to write a review and keep it spoiler free, because omg, it was crazy.
firstly, i love the dynamic between Ethan and Tiffany. scenes in the apartment were my favorite, and i was sad when they had to leave so early. there was not tension between them, and i guess, that’s what author wanted to show 🤷🏼‍♀ i love disney world mentions and they way their story was developing.
“It’s okay for you to miss me, Tiffy. If you were gone, I’d miss you, too.
when i heard about Tiffany’s past for the first time, i got confused. i thought, it would make a great story in different book, but i was mistaken. i like the way author connect both plot lines into one and go further expanding our knowledge. oppositely, some scenes were a little awkward, but that doesn’t made them less enjoyable.
What i didn’t like were romance scenes (spicy scenes) - they were really awkwardly written. i hate writing bad review for arcs, but i skipped those scenes. also, it’s considered a spice version but there were max of 3 scenes. it’s not really make sense, for me(my opinion). I am the biggest TS fan, like the biggest. I know all her songs, i have been following her since my childhood; and i’m so tired of authors using her every opportunity they get. use it once!!! seeing her lyrics being used in every context makes me sick. it feels like authors want to get more readers by using TS. it’s not always make sense to use them. no hate
“I predict that it will take me a long time to fall asleep with him next to me, but it doesn’t. Within minutes, my eyes flutter shut, and I slide into a deep, dreamless slumber. Free of monsters.
i really curious about what truly happened to him. you will know if you read it! (mention in last pages). i’ll definitely read next book if he mentions there.
i would recommend it for 100%, it’s not what you’re expecting and story goes really fast!
“With a start, I jerk upright, the dream sound of sirens still ringing in my ears. My heart thunders in my chest, and sweat cools on my skin. Shadows ooze down the walls. They crawl across the floor, reaching for me with razor claws. If I go back to sleep, I’ll drop right back into that same nightmare. I’ll sink into it like my pockets are filled with rocks and I’ve walked into the surf.
I want to thank NetGalley and Victory Editing for providing me with this ARC.
I was hooked from the first page. It had characters - song association and I’m here for it!
Throughout the book, there were also Taylor Swift song references.
We follow Dr Tiffany Hart, a radiology resident who has a dark past and won’t allow anyone to get too close to her.
She must work with a new recruit, Dr Ethan Clarke who just got transferred to her residency.
We switch between two timelines, present and past and we slowly get to understand Tiffany’s insecurities and fears.
I really loved Tiffany even though she was flawed and naïve sometimes. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for those she loves.
Ethan on the other hand, felt a little bit presumptuous but their story was cute.
I was truly invested in the book, so much that if I had one complaint it would be the lack of some answers at the end, like there were so many openings that went unexplored and that left me a little frustrated and I wanted more!!!
“If heartbreak can kill you, then I’m going to die.
Tiffany Hart is battle-fatigued. For years she’s fought people; pushed them away so she wouldn’t have to experience the pain of loss. She’s weary from doing everything herself and stressed at work. Just when she’s at the point of questioning whether it’s a strength or a weakness to need another person, Ethan Clark walks into her life.
Tiffany is a third-year radiology resident at Mercy Hospital. She can see the light at the end of the tunnel; only two more years left in her 10-year medical education.
Ethan Clark, Chief resident at Highview Hospital in Clevland, is in his second year of internal medicine and he’s applying for a radiology residency position at Mercy Hospital.
Their first meeting creates sparks. Not the good kind.
When they discover they need to work together it pushes both of them out of their comfort zone and into growth. Will Tiffany’s secret past be the road bump in their relationship? Will she learn the value of opening up to another person?
Tiffany remembers her mom’s advice to give a little of herself in order to experience love. She remembers her mom saying that love is about sacrifice and that if we truly love someone, we’ll give away parts of ourselves to keep that person happy and safe. Can she offer up her past to keep Ethan safe? Is love worth it?
Loved the exploration of:
💜Needing forgiveness; from others and from self
💜Learning to live a life of acceptance
💜the importance of finding someone who will fight for you
💜the notion that success comes from inside yourself
💜the damage we do by keeping secrets from those we love
Which is truly the braver thing? To force people away? Or to pull them close? Let Melissa Dymond’s great story give you something to consider. If nothing else, she’ll leave you on the edge of your seat as she’s planned answers to some of the bigger questions raised in this book in the books to follow.
The author has provided a list of triggers at the start of the book. She’s also published this book in two versions: sweet and spicy.
This romantic suspense is one you'll want to investigate for yourself!
A charming rom com with touch of suspense and all the feels.
Admittedly, I was expecting to enjoy Paging Dr Hart, but reading it blew away those expectations. So much more depth and story elements than I was expecting. When we first meet Tiffany Hart, she's buttoned up and locked in in her determination to be successful, but only as we learn her history do we understand why. Asked to interview a potential new resident in radiology, Ethan Clark, her first response is antipathy, especially after he spoils her important presentation. Naturally, their relationship start changing due to the reliable tropes of forced proximity and just one bed. But the story has more than that. Interspersed are chapters of Tiffany was growing up in Las Vegas with a single mom who developed cancer. Now Tiffany is receiving ominous text messages from an unknown sender. How that plays out adds another dimension to the story. In fact, at the end there is a teaser dropped that makes me want to read the next book now.
Rounding my rating up from 4.5 ⭐s.
Okay this was such a fun read!! I went in thinking this was going to be a smutty sweet medical romance book but I soon learned how wrong I was…there was so much SUSPENSE I could not put this book down. WOW 😍
I fell in love instantly with Ethan and Tiffany. They had such amazing chemistry throughout the book.I knew from the first couple chapters that I would be giggling throughout this book and it did not disappoint!
Melissa did such an amazing job with the back and forth dual timeline! This is the first book I’ve read by her and it definitely will not be the last! She had me hooked from the first chapter.
Also don’t even get me started on the slow burn, SO FREAKING GOOD 🥵
I was hooked to the book from the first chapter. This book had a bit of everything. I really liked the dual timeline here where we get to see how Tiffany grew up and what were the situations and circumstances that led to her keeping her guard up all the time. And given her past - her struggles, losses and betrayals, it makes sense for her to not let people in so she doesn't get hurt again. It helped us understand her character better.
The suspense aspect was really well done and I was so eager to find out what truly happened in the past that's come back to haunt her in the present. What was she running away from and why does she need to hide it from Ethan? I kept trying to figure out what could've happened and who could've done what the whole time. That plot slowly unravels over the years of the past chapters.
Tiffany has definitely been through a lot in life and seen a lot of hardships in life but she has worked her ass off to get out of the life she had and to work towards the life she wanted to lead. But her past is also the reason why she doesn't let anyone in. The character development was good, where we see Tiffany's inner conflicts about wanting to feel connections again but also holding herself back from being hurt again and how she slowly comes to terms with her past, the loss, grief, guilt, betrayal, in order to stop trying to sabotage her own happiness.
Absolutely loved Ethan and how patient, understanding and thoughtful he was. How he paid attention to everything Tiffany did and memorized her likes and dislikes. He put up with her when she lashed out at him in order to keep him at a distance but he was unperturbed and relentless in trying to win her over and communicated what he wanted clearly. He never stopped trying with Tiffany and he didn't hide how he felt about her either. We get a good understanding of Ethan's character as well. His past, his upbringing, his insecurities and his dreams. He was the greenest flag.
Their relationship went from terrible first meeting to slowly getting used to being around each other to friendship to more. Ethan slowly but surely wore Tiffany down and made her bring down her walls.
This had a perfect balance of romance and suspense and I absolutely loved it.
Loved the TS references throughout the book. I also like that the author made two versions, one with the spicy scenes and one with a closed door version so everyone can enjoy this story at their own comfort.
I did have a few questions towards the ending but I guess that will be covered more in the next books in the series as the author mentions that it will be a series of interconnected standalones. I am eager to know who the next books will be about. Also waiting to see if there will be a book for a certain character that I don't know if I hate or love yet.
I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED this book - I could not put it down once I started it. From the plot to the characters to the writing to the dual timeline, all of it was perfectly executed. I always try to highlight both the good and less good parts in my reviews; but I seriously could not find anything I didn’t thoroughly enjoy this time.
Paging Dr. Hart is a slow burn, but it really manages to keep you on your toes the whole time. And when Tiffany and Ethan’s romance finally picks up, it gets really good really fast.
And the cherry on the cake for me? The fact that what I thought were accidental Taylor Swift song references, were intentional! I had highlighted as soon as I saw it, so I was incredibly pleased to see the note at the end of the book.
I will definitely be recommending this book - Not to mention that 10% of all proceeds go to lung cancer research.
Paging Dr. Hart by Melissa Dymond is a rom with a hint of com but with a whole side of drama. This love story has a serious undertone and addresses childhood trauma and it's long term affects, although there is some humor and lightness in the evolution of the relationship between the main characters.
I do like that the author made two versions, one spicy and one closed door so everyone can enjoy. Good thinking!
Thank you, NetGalley and Victory Editing Co-op, for early access to read Paging Dr. Hart. It's clear the author put an incredible amount of thought ..and heart into this book to add depth, emotion, and realism.
2.5 Ethan is swoonworthy. Buuuuuut for some reason I struggled to connect with the storyline. It kinda felt like the dual point of views were two separate stories. Overall I don’t think this one was for me but I think fans of Taylor Swift, mystery with their romance and slow burns will eat this book up.
Thank you Dr. Melissa Dymond and NetGalley for allowing me to read and review this ARC. (Publishing 6/17/24)
I’ve never read a medical romance before and now I think I’ve unlocked a new favorite.
This book was multi-dimensional. Not only was it a love story between Tiffany and Ethan (SWOON 😍), but it was also a suspenseful journey on how to over come your past.
After a childhood full of struggle and bad decisions, Tiffany becomes a Doctor. In adulthood, Tiffany was determined to be on her own, pushing away anybody that tries to get close in fear of losing them. In walks Ethan, the funny, handsome, charismatic Doctor that changes her life. The relationship between “Tiffy and Ethan is the ultimate slow-burn and I ate it up.
Aside from the romance, another part of the book I loved was the suspense. Hearing all about the bad choices Tiffany made as a child kept me on my toes and reading late into the night. I also loved how her past came back to haunt her in the form of Rafe.
The Past chapters bled into the Present chapters seamlessly.
Great side characters: Rafe, Shelly, Mr. Chen, Melanie, etc..
This is definitely a book I would recommend to other readers. Looking forward to reading more from Dr. Melissa Dymond!
Just throughly enjoyed this romance and how it explores the past and present colliding. Plus, it’s rounded off with the best of loveable golden retriever boyfriends (bonus cute nicknames).
“Has it occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, I hoped you would call me? Maybe you aren’t the only one who’s scared
Interesting look at the politics and drama that surrounds the medical field. Utterly shocked by a certain characters decision regarding Tiffany. No wonder she has turned into such an independent and alouf individual.
“I love her, and I hate her
Something about this story spoke to me and I just couldn’t put it down.
“I like you all ways, happy and sad. I like all the Tiffany’s past, present, and future. I’ll take them all
Review: *Paging Dr. Hart* - ARC - Dr. Melissa Dymond [16+]
4.9/5
1.5/5🌶
I've seen this book on Instagram first and someone said it was an interesting read, so I headed straight to NetGalley to try my luck with a request 😊. Thank you for accepting me to read this ARC, Melissa Dymond 🤗.
Tiffany Hart is a radiologist at Columbus Hospital. Ethan Clark has just transferred from Highview Hospital, from Cleveland, to this hospital. Tiffany and him don't have the best first meet but this situation demands for them to work together. But this transfer comes with a surprise: they need to go to Ethan's previous hospital from time to time. I'm revealing just one thing: everything is going to change between them 🤭.
That was the present but this book offers two timelines. So, the other part is from Tiffany's past. Everything that happened in her life before she became a radiologist. She had a really though childhood. At some point her mother gets sick and from there on, she makes only bad, but kinda necessary, mistakes ☹️.
Back in the present time - Tiffany has to face everything that happened in her past, to overcome her nightmares and also, to try to confess to Ethan everything about her.
I really liked this book. I experienced so many feelings while reading this one - at some point my brain was freezing from the fear and adrenaline in one certain part of the story 😨. I felt sad, happy and hopefull for Tiffy😊.
Ok wow! I definitely was not prepared for this wild ride. I thought it was going to be a sweet and spicy rom com but the element of suspense and mystery woven throughout the plot was my favorite. The dual timeline back and forth was done really well, and the past was one of the books biggest strengths in my opinion.
I was seriously glued to the page and binge read it in 2 sittings within 48 hours.
I am truly so impressed with Melissa’s writing, this being her second book. I loved holiday star (her debut), and now I can’t choose which is my favorite.
Read if you love:
-hate to love
-dual timeline
-forced proximity
-medical romance
-he falls first
-suspense
-Taylor swift Easter eggs
Medical romance and enemies to lovers are my favorite tropes and stories to read. I think my expectations were too high for this book, and the ending left me feeling a little disappointed.
I enjoyed the characters and their banter, as well as the flashbacks that provided more insight into Tiffany's background. However, at times the story felt a bit unrealistic. For instance, the idea of an 18-year-old planning to rob the mafia seemed far-fetched to me. I appreciated the romantic aspects of the book but felt that the suspense story was unnecessary. I would have preferred the focus to remain on the main couple and the challenges they faced in their relationship. The introduction of characters from Tiffany's past felt out of place and didn't add much to the story in my opinion. Rafe was a member of a gang and was initially kind to Tiffany. However, he later turned into a bad guy before becoming good again, which was a little confusing... Overall, I believe many people will enjoy this story because of its romance, humor, and compelling chemistry, but it didn't quite resonate with me.
The book is available in two versions: one for readers who enjoy romance with spice and detail, and another for those who prefer clean romance with sizzle but no detail.
Thank you NetGalley and Publisher for the eARC.
This book is set in both the past and present so we slowly figure out how Tiffany got to where she is throughout the book. This book did this really effectively and I was equally intrigued by both sections of the story. I really enjoyed the banter between the main characters and the plot was mostly really gripping. This book was great, with building suspense and tension, but I personally found the description of certain…scenes to be a little bit off-putting.
Though I did enjoy the ‘past chapters of the book, I felt the relationship between Tiffany and Rafe didn’t make sense and neither did Rafe’s motives at some points in the book. I also felt that there could have been some more character development for intriguing characters in the book such as Mr. Chen (my personal favorite) but also even the main character Ethan. There were some parts of the book which I knew were supposed to make me feel something for the character, but fell a bit short because of this.
This book also seemed to mention toes quite often. It wasn’t that much but enough for you to notice lol. Some of my favorite quotes are ‘the tip of his toes brush against mine and a strange zinging sensation runs up my leg and ‘I’m not sure which hurts worse, my toes or my heart.
Besides that, I found this book really enjoyable and look forward for the sequel. My final thoughts are team Stewart lol.
Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!
How do I rate this a 10/5?? This book is beautifully written and has it all with romance and suspense. A haunted past and grief. Lots of banter and sexy doctors.
I absolutely loved Ethan and Tiffany's love story. Ethan brings out all the good in Tiffany allowing her to slowly lower those walls that she has built up after everyone has left her either in death or abandoning her. Tiffany finally is able to trust and have someone close to her again, but her past is sneaking up on her quickly.
Tiffany is the Ice Queen, always focus and determined at work and finally sexy Ethan is here to melt the ice around her heart and set it ablaze. Will she be able to fully let him in or will she be too scared to show him all of her?
Mr. Chen is the sweetest side character ever. Just saying. Melissa puts so much thought into her stories that even those side characters are perfect. She shares the love story of Ethan and Tiffany, but some of their interactions are of her and her husband meeting and being together. It's beautiful I promise.
My favorite quotes:
"Why are you staring at me like I'm candy and you're a kid on Halloween?"
"I want to punch your stupid, handsome face."
I really enjoyed reading this book.
A story of a girl with a wounded heart and fear of trusting. A simple romance, right? Wrong! Romance, suspense, betrayal.
The past comes back to haunt Tiffany's present.
I loved how Ethan loves Tiffany beyond measure, even in pain, but he defends her and ensures her safety.
I can't wait to read the next books in this story.
**For those who don't like spicy, the author made a sweet closed-door version**
I won’t lie, I did not think that I would end up liking this as much as I did.
Paging Dr. Hart follows Dr. Tiffany Hart as her collected life is spun off course by new-hire Dr. Ethan Clark. They both have their own ulterior motives and they settle in a very cautious dance around each other.
Reading the first 20%, I found the story slow and repetitive, but then the second timeline started picking up. This added SO MUCH to the story. Getting glimpses of Tiffany’s past was the perfect addition to the story, it added a level of complexity that was missing initially, and I was hooked.
It took me about twelve days to get to 20% and I read the rest in one night. Devoured. Learning about Tiffany’s childhood and all the events that led to her becoming a doctor was so interesting. Her history with Shelley and Rafe, her job on the strip, her relationship with Mr. Chen, and her interactions with Stewart were heartbreaking and thought-provoking. On the flip side, we got a heartwarming romance with Ethan, which was equally genuine and thorough. The two storylines blended effortlessly and I was very satisfied with the ending.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Obsessed
Okay I went into this book blind (as always, only reading the tropes) and it was NOT what I was expecting. I was expecting a light romcom with maybe some Grey's Anatomy drama. What I got was a whirlwind action/adventure saga with a dual timeline and a tragic backstory which made the ending so much sweeter.
Holy cow...this was not my first Dr. Dymond book, but this is for sure my favorite so far. The characters were realistic. They didn't seem over-the-top and real only in fiction. I could see both Tiffany and Ethan existing at the hospital down the street. Granted, the entire story isn't realistic, but the characters for sure are.
The situation Tiffany finds herself in of her past catching up to her and affecting her present was such a fun and heartbreaking situation. All the firsts of childhood/teen years in one. First love, first loss, first loss of a friend, first backstab by a best friend. All things we've all been though and can easily relate to even if the details are different. I understood Tiffany on a level I understand my bff on.
Ethan...sweet, lovely, swoony Ethan. He's out to make a name for himself away from his family and is cocksure in what he wants. When he sets his mind to something, he is fully committed. He's fully committed to being Tiffany's friend (seemingly her only one). He's committed to becoming her safe place. He's committed to loving her and having her fall in love with him. He's just so sexy.
Somewhere in this action adventure they both show the other what they've been missing. Tiffany with a life outside of medicine and a found family. Ethan with being enough with exactly who he is. Not having to be something/someone he's not.
The side characters were so wonderful and there's a few that I really hope we get to see more of because I wasn't ready to leave this world.
RATING: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
SPICE: 🔥🔥
PAGING DR HART is so good! And one thing I love about Melissa’s writing is that it’s available in a spicy and a sweet version so Everyone can experience it in the best way for them.
But we already know which version I’m picking 😉
TROPES ⬇️
✨Enemies to Lovers
✨Medical Romance
 Forced Proximity
 He Falls First
 Secret Past
I LOVED THIS ONE! It’s got a little bit of everything and I was here for it all. We met Tiffany in Melissa’s previous release, Holiday Star, but getting to know her and Ethan was just an absolute treat. And Ethan takes “he falls first and runs with it!
And there was so much suspense in this one I was on the edge of my seat! So dang good!
Check this one out today! It’s worth every minute of the journey! (And if you love Disney.🥹🥹 that scene was so wholesome)
My thoughts: I especially enjoy stories where one of the main characters has a challenging past but has been determined to change their lives through education. That is Tiffany. She is smart, strong, and will do whatever it takes to reach her goals and have a different life than her mom.
Tiffany has been through hell and back losing her mom, her close friend Mr. Chen and then unexpectedly loses people she thought were her friends. How much grief and disappointment can one person take? I can understand why she kept people at arm’s length as an adult. But then Ethan comes into her life, and never strays from her side. He is a cinnamon roll protector like none other. I love that he called her Tiffy and that he is the sunshine her life has been needing.
While I was reading all the chapters of her past, I was constantly afraid for her. What kind of trouble was she going to get into? What she was doing was risky. I could feel something bad was going to happen, but I could have never predicted the outcome.
Between the romance and the suspense of Tiffany’s past coming back to haunt her in the most unexpected way, you will not be able to put this book down. The book goes back and forth between the present and Tiffany’s past so the reader can see why the character is the way she is and why she’s afraid to tell Ethan about her childhood.
Just like Melissa’s first book, Holiday Star, it is more than romance. There is sickness, death, coping, healing, and love. It is a beautiful mix of all emotions that makes her story telling stand out.
Takeaway: Just because you had a rough start to your life doesn’t mean you can’t open yourself to the possibility of happiness.
I devoured this book in almost one sitting and now I’m excited everyone else will get a chance to read it. Ethan is just the most delicious of cinnamon roll MMC’s and even the “ice queen Tiffany, can’t resist him. This book comes in 2 different formats, spicy/open door, sweet/closed door. So you can find the version that works best for you!
“You’ve accepted me for who I am, all the good and all the bad. Now, let me do the same for you.
Ahhhh!!! I love this book so much! It’s a mix of romance and suspense. It shows the Past and Present life of Tiffany which is the Female Main Character. This will take you to an emotional roller coaster ride. There are times I find myself almost crying, I also felt angry when Tiffany got betrayed and left behind by the people she trust but most of all I felt happy and in love when Ethan comes to life.
The spice of this book is also perfectly blended! Not too much but it’s there! So nothing to worry about if you’re a spicy romance reader or not, both party will enjoy reading this.
This is my first time to read a book from the author and I love love loveee it so much! I can talk about this all day.
I highly recommend this book if you’re into romance, medical setting, suspense, feel-good book, and if you’re a SWIFTIE!
Thank you so much for the Advance Reader Copy of this book I can’t wait to have my own physical copy of this book hoping it will be available in my country :)
