Gleichzeitig einfach so coole Ideen. Ich liebe alle Charaktere so sehr und freue mich auf alles was kommt, insbesondere auf alles, was ich noch nicht kenne.

MY HEART ?? Yukine¡¯s gone through so much character development in this volume (all thanks to best dad Yato and best mom Hiyori) and I¡¯m SO proud of him. I love them all so much icantevenexplain
Another great volume! This one concentrates on the discord between Yato and his shinki, Yukine. Everything comes to a head and that story arc is finished off. Meanwhile, Bishamonten is still lurking around looking for Yato to exact her revenge. A new evil shinki is introduced, but there's more to that story I'm sure! and Yato solves one case during all this of a boy at school who is being bullied. I just love Hiyori, I hope she never gets cured!
Here¡¯s where we really see some amazing character background information. We learn why Yukin¨¦ is so angry all the time; we learn why Yato allowed himself to be blighted for so long; and we learn with Hiyori about the dark past haunting Yato in the form of Stray.
All of it comes together in an incredible way, as we finally get a hint at some potential themes and challenges lying in wait ahead of the characters.
this early arc with Yukine has always been one of my favorites because it is so well handled! the culmination of events up to and into the ablution ceremony is built up so well and it is all around excellent!

This is that point in the anime where I die, so I was kind of expecting to die while reading this. I did, by the way. I did die. This part is just so... depressing for me. Mostly because of Yukine - I've always been a Yukine fan, and I've always felt for him. Because that... that kid has problems, and he makes me sad, and I really hope that we get some concrete backstory for him because we've seen little hints and THOSE LITTLE HINTS, MAN. THEY'RE DEPRESSING.
There's not really much more I can say without spoiling everything, except that I absolutely adore this manga series and that I'm starting to get into the stuff that I'm pretty sure is going to be in season 2 this fall or winter or whenever that is - and that's kind of exciting.
I wasn't going to rate this volume as highly because it felt unfocused early and it wasn't as satisfying as the first 2. HOWEVER, the last 20 some pages really tied it all back together and the payoff was better than I had expected. Bishamon almost kills Yato and Yukine consistently makes more trouble. Hiyori keeps trying to help them and is worried for them both. Kazuma becomes more important (and interesting) in this volume and I can honestly say that I didn't see this arc being as good as it wound up being. I'm genuinely excited to see what's next and I'll have more faith in the authors moving forward.
Honestly I should deduct a star just because I had to look at that kid's back full of EYEBALLS.????
This slapped though oh my god. Yukine has continued to do bad things and is further making Yato sick. Eventually it becomes too much and Hiyori tries her best to help but it's beyond anything she can do.
It's actually so heartbreaking, I felt so bad for Yukine.? Literally just a child getting mad and sad at how he's dead like you'd be doing that too !! It actually has me sobbing and throwing up the way Yato REFUSES to give up on Yukine, even to the point where he was close to dying. Yato is stronger than me because while that is a dope ass sword, my patience for teenager rebellion is zero.
Yukine's character development by the end was so good, thank GOD.
What is with this series always drawing girls in the bath.? Good to know it isn't just male writers that do fanservice. Especially with Bishamonten like I absolutely busted out laughing at how cool her casual look was, fully covered in a sick looking suit but then when she's ready to fight, time for the bra and mirco skirt.?
The little bonus comics where she gets home and her shinki pulls out the lint roller because of her lion was the best though lmao.
I gotta say the translation notes are the best I've seen in a manga so far like they are very useful and informative.
This has got to be one of the volumes (and episodes in the anime) that hooked me up to the series.
I love it!
This is the volume where Yukine and Yato's bond is tested. The thing about Yato's character is that, he is known as an ENTP, which is, with all the characters with the personality, they look fraudulent and literally people don't understand how their brain works. The thing with Yato as well; he goes with the Tough Love teaching hence, it takes awhile for people to understand what his intentions are for some things. For this volume, everything fell into place and the love I had for the characters grew too. I feel like the manga explained really well on the ayakashi and the nature of the spirits itself. The line between good and evil and especially, Yukine's dilemma and behaviour was shown. It really shows how at the end of the day, humans have all but greed but what makes us differ from the bad spirits is how we choose our actions after having those bad thoughts.
This volume is so intense already that I was scared of turning the page despite knowing full well what was happening next. We get to learn more about Yato and Yukine's psychology, and they contrast each other so well, I loved it. But it was Hiyori that truly shined the most for me. Despire her place as the outside of their group, she's the one always fighting for them and always trying to dig up the truth and to know how to help her. I find her incredible. The emotion is really present, especially towards the latest chapters, and I'm so glad that we will actually see them work as three in the next volume. Truthfully, I didn't realise how bad I missed this story and these characters until I started reading it.
(Also, I actually have feelings for Yato ? He might be my favorite character now ????? What ?)
The story of Yato and Yukine is really moving. I had a feeling that Yato was more or less sacrificing himself for Yukine, but still hat sacrifice was shown here and was really moving. A love that suffers and gives of oneself, a god that is willing to lay down his life and suffer for the sins of another... sounds familiar! Loved this volume, though there was a little fan service that I could do without.

It continued the last volume¡¯s problem so smoothly. Sometimes it¡¯s a little jerky, but I didn¡¯t find this one to be that way. The story alone is deep and complex, as shown throughout these first volumes. It¡¯s so impressive.
The last few panels were so well done! I wouldn¡¯t say they¡¯re my absolute favorite so far but they¡¯re so close to being that!
My friend recommended this series to me and I can totally see why!!
Yukine is the perfect example of troubled youth. When trouble arise, we gotta nip it at the bud instead of waiting for it to blow over. It won't. Pitying him won't help too. Besf would be clarifying right and wrong, and also acknowledging the fact that, yes the world is unfair so we gotta work around it. Though, I expected better of him since Iki was being so nice to him.
There is a really good scene... When Yukine does bad things, Yato gets a damage on his body. The damage is so painful for Yato. Everyone tell Yato to throw Yukine, but he doesn¡¯t do that. Yato¡¯s mind for Yukine is special, and Yato is a thoughtful person. Finally, Yukine got Yato¡¯s mind, and he decided to change himself. I think they became a good partner in the future.
