Chapter 1: God’s Word is God’s Medicine Pro 4:20ÌýÌýMy son, pay attention to my words; listen closely to my sayings. Pro 4:21ÌýÌýDon’t lose sight of them; keep them within your heart. Pro 4:22ÌýÌýFor they are life to those who find them, and health to one’s whole body.
Mat 6:10ÌýÌýYour kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. There is no sickness in heaven. It is your will that there is no sickness in heaven. (Rev 21:4ÌýÌýHe will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; grief, crying, and pain will be no more, because the previous things have passed away.) So make that a reality on earth as well.
Exo 15:26ÌýÌýHe said, “If you will carefully obey the LORD your God, do what is right in his sight, pay attention to his commands, and keep all his statutes, I will not inflict any illnesses on you that I inflicted on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.â€
Exo 23:25ÌýÌýServe the LORD your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. I will remove illnesses from you.
Num 23:19ÌýÌýGod is not a man, that he might lie, or a son of man, that he might change his mind. Does he speak and not act, or promise and not fulfill?
From the seer Hanani: 2Ch 16:9ÌýÌýFor the eyes of the LORD roam throughout the earth to show himself strong for those who are wholeheartedly devoted to him. â€
Psa 30:2ÌýÌýLORD my God, I cried to you for help, and you healed me.
Psa 34:19ÌýÌýOne who is righteous has many adversities, but the LORD rescues him from them all.
Psa 41:1ÌýÌýFor the choir director. A psalm of David. Happy is one who is considerate of the poor; the LORD will save him in a day of adversity. Psa 41:2ÌýÌýThe LORD will keep him and preserve him; he will be blessed in the land. You will not give him over to the desire of his enemies. Psa 41:3ÌýÌýThe LORD will sustain him on his sickbed; you will heal him on the bed where he lies.
Psa 91:9ÌýÌýBecause you have made the LORD—my refuge, the Most High—your dwelling place, Psa 91:10ÌýÌýno harm will come to you; no plague will come near your tent.
Psa 103:2ÌýÌýMy soul, bless the LORD, and do not forget all his benefits. Psa 103:3ÌýÌýHe forgives all your iniquity; he heals all your diseases. Psa 103:4ÌýÌýHe redeems your life from the Pit; he crowns you with faithful love and compassion.
Psa 118:17ÌýÌýI will not die, but I will live and proclaim what the LORD has done
Pro 3:7ÌýÌýDon’t be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and turn away from evil. Pro 3:8ÌýÌýThis will be healing for your body and strengthening for your bones.
Pro 17:22ÌýÌýA joyful heart is goodÌýmedicine, but a broken spirit driesÌýup theÌýbones.
Isa 40:28ÌýÌýDo you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never becomes faint or weary; there is no limit to his understanding. Isa 40:29ÌýÌýHe gives strength to the faint and strengthens the powerless.
Isa 41:10ÌýÌýDo not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with my righteous right hand.
Isa 53:4ÌýÌýYet he himself bore our sicknesses, and he carried our pains; but we in turn regarded him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. Isa 53:5ÌýÌýBut he was pierced because of our rebellion, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on him, and we are healed by his wounds.
Mat 8:16ÌýÌýWhen evening came, they brought to him many who were demon-possessed. He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all who were sick, Mat 8:17ÌýÌýso that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: He himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.
Isa 58:8ÌýÌýThen your light will appear like the dawn, and your recovery will come quickly. Your righteousness will go before you, and the LORD’s glory will be your rear guard.
Jer 30:17ÌýÌýBut I will bring you health and will heal you of your wounds—this is the LORD’s declaration—â€
Mal 4:2ÌýÌýBut for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings, and you will go out and playfully jump like calves from the stall.
Mat 7:7ÌýÌý“Ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you. Mat 7:8ÌýÌýFor everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. Mat 7:9ÌýÌýWho among you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Mat 7:10ÌýÌýOr if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? Mat 7:11ÌýÌýIf you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him.
Mat 8:17ÌýÌýso that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled: He himself took our weaknesses and carried our diseases.
Mar 9:23ÌýÌýJesus said to him, “‘If you canâ€? Everything is possible for the one who believes.â€
Jhn 14:12ÌýÌý“Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these, because I am going to the Father. Jhn 14:13ÌýÌýWhatever you ask in my name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. Jhn 14:14ÌýÌýIf you ask me anything in my name, I will do it.
On Jesusâ€ eminent departure: Jhn 16:22ÌýÌýSo you also have sorrow now. But I will see you again. Your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy from you. Jhn 16:23ÌýÌý“In that day you will not ask me anything. Truly I tell you, anything you ask the Father in my name, he will give you. Jhn 16:24ÌýÌýUntil now you have asked for nothing in my name. Ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be complete.
Act 3:16ÌýÌýBy faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. So the faith that comes through Jesus has given him this perfect health in front of all of you.
Rom 8:31ÌýÌýWhat, then, are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? Rom 8:32ÌýÌýHe did not even spare his own Son but gave him up for us all. How will he not also with him grant us everything?
1Th 5:23ÌýÌýNow may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. And may your whole spirit, soul, and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 1Th 5:24ÌýÌýHe who calls you is faithful; he will do it.
Jas 5:14ÌýÌýIs anyone among you sick? He should call for the elders of the church, and they are to pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. Jas 5:15ÌýÌýThe prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up; if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Jas 5:16ÌýÌýTherefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.
1Pe 2:24 ÌýÌýHe himself bore our sins in his body on the tree; so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
1Jn 5:14ÌýÌýThis is the confidence we have before him: If we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1Jn 5:15ÌýÌýAnd if we know that he hears whatever we ask, we know that we have what we have asked of him.
A CONFESSION FOR HEALING AND HEALTH Thank you, Father, that your plan of redemption provided not only forgiveness for my sins but also healing for my body. For it is written in Matthew 8:17 that Jesus took my infirmities and bore my diseases. I don’t have to bear what Jesus bore for me. Disease is not mine; therefore, I refuse to tolerate it. Because Jesus bore my sickness and disease, I am healed. I am free. I am well now! I believe that in my heart, so I say it with my mouth. I am healed! —from the Word of Faith, April 2023, p. 7
From chapter 2 of Kenneth E. Hagin’s Healing Scriptures Jesus—the will of God in action (when Jesus walked the earth and healed:)
Mat 4:23ÌýÌýNow Jesus began to go all over Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. Mat 4:24ÌýÌýThen the news about him spread throughout Syria. So they brought to him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics. And he healed them.
Mat 8:2ÌýÌýRight away a man with leprosy came up and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.â€ Mat 8:3ÌýÌýReaching out his hand, Jesus touched him, saying, “I am willing; be made clean.â€ Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Mat 8:5ÌýÌýWhen he entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, pleading with him, Mat 8:6ÌýÌý“Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, in terrible agony.â€ Mat 8:7ÌýÌýHe said to him, “Am I to come and heal him?â€ Mat 8:8ÌýÌý“Lord,â€ the centurion replied, “I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. Mat 8:9ÌýÌýFor I too am a man under authority, having soldiers under my command. I say to this one, ‘Go,â€ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,â€ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this!â€ and he does it.â€ Mat 8:10ÌýÌýHearing this, Jesus was amazed and said to those following him, “Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with so great a faith. Mat 8:11ÌýÌýI tell you that many will come from east and west to share the banquet with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 8:12ÌýÌýBut the sons of the kingdom will be thrown into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.â€ Mat 8:13ÌýÌýThen Jesus told the centurion, “Go. As you have believed, let it be done for you.â€ And his servant was healed that very moment.
Mat 8:14ÌýÌýJesus went into Peter’s house and saw his mother-in-law lying in bed with a fever. Mat 8:15ÌýÌýSo he touched her hand, and the fever left her. Then she got up and began to serve him.
Mat 9:20ÌýÌýJust then, a woman who had suffered from bleeding for twelve years approached from behind and touched the end of his robe, Mat 9:21ÌýÌýfor she said to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I’ll be made well.â€ Mat 9:22ÌýÌýJesus turned and saw her. “Have courage, daughter,â€ he said. “Your faith has saved you.â€ And the woman was made well from that moment.
Mat 9:27-36
Mat 11:28ÌýÌý“Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Mat 11:29ÌýÌýTake my yoke upon you and learn from me, because I am lowly and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Mat 11:30ÌýÌýFor my yoke is easy and my burden is light.â€
Mat 12:9ÌýÌýMoving on from there, he entered their synagogue. Mat 12:10ÌýÌýThere he saw a man who had a shriveled hand, and in order to accuse him they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?â€ Mat 12:11ÌýÌýHe replied to them, “Who among you, if he had a sheep that fell into a pit on the Sabbath, wouldn’t take hold of it and lift it out? Mat 12:12ÌýÌýA person is worth far more than a sheep; so it is lawful to do what is good on the Sabbath.â€ Mat 12:13ÌýÌýThen he told the man, “Stretch out your hand.â€ So he stretched it out, and it was restored, as good as the other. Mat 12:14ÌýÌýBut the Pharisees went out and plotted against him, how they might kill him. God's Chosen Servant Mat 12:15ÌýÌýJesus was aware of this and withdrew. Large crowds followed him, and he healed them all.
Even in his grief, Jesus healed because Jesus loved: Mat 14:10ÌýÌýSo he sent orders and had John beheaded in the prison. Mat 14:11ÌýÌýHis head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, who carried it to her mother. Mat 14:12ÌýÌýThen his disciples came, removed the corpse, buried it, and went and reported to Jesus. Jesus Feeds the Five Thousand Mat 14:13ÌýÌýWhen Jesus heard about it, he withdrew from there by boat to a remote place to be alone. When the crowds heard this, they followed him on foot from the towns. Mat 14:14ÌýÌýWhen he went ashore, he saw a large crowd, had compassion on them, and healed their sick.
Again, just the robe: Mat 14:34ÌýÌýWhen they had crossed over, they came to shore at Gennesaret. Mat 14:35ÌýÌýWhen the men of that place recognized him, they alerted the whole vicinity and brought to him all who were sick. Mat 14:36ÌýÌýThey begged him that they might only touch the end of his robe, and as many as touched it were healed.
Mat 15:29ÌýÌýMoving on from there, Jesus passed along the Sea of Galilee. He went up on a mountain and sat there, Mat 15:30ÌýÌýand large crowds came to him, including the lame, the blind, the crippled, those unable to speak, and many others. They put them at his feet, and he healed them. Mat 15:31ÌýÌýSo the crowd was amazed when they saw those unable to speak talking, the crippled restored, the lame walking, and the blind seeing, and they gave glory to the God of Israel.
Mark 5 gives more detail
Mrk 6:53ÌýÌýWhen they had crossed over, they came to shore at Gennesaret and anchored there. Mrk 6:54ÌýÌýAs they got out of the boat, people immediately recognized him. Mrk 6:55ÌýÌýThey hurried throughout that region and began to carry the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. Mrk 6:56ÌýÌýWherever he went, into villages, towns, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might touch just the end of his robe. And everyone who touched it was healed.
Mrk 7:24-37
Mrk 9:17-29
Luk 4:16-6
Luk 13:10-17
Jhn 4:46ÌýÌýHe went again to Cana of Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. There was a certain royal official whose son was ill at Capernaum. Jhn 4:47ÌýÌýWhen this man heard that Jesus had come from Judea into Galilee, he went to him and pleaded with him to come down and heal his son, since he was about to die. Jhn 4:48ÌýÌýJesus told him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will not believe.â€ Jhn 4:49ÌýÌý“Sir,â€ the official said to him, “come down before my boy dies.â€ Jhn 4:50ÌýÌý“Go,â€ Jesus told him, “your son will live.â€ The man believed what Jesus said to him and departed. Jhn 4:51ÌýÌýWhile he was still going down, his servants met him saying that his boy was alive. Jhn 4:52ÌýÌýHe asked them at what time he got better. “Yesterday at one in the afternoon the fever left him,â€ they answered. Jhn 4:53ÌýÌýThe father realized this was the very hour at which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.â€ So he himself believed, along with his whole household. Jhn 4:54ÌýÌýNow this was also the second sign Jesus performed after he came from Judea to Galilee. Jhn 5
Jhn 9:1ÌýÌýAs he was passing by, he saw a man blind from birth. Jhn 9:2ÌýÌýHis disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?â€ Jhn 9:3ÌýÌý“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,â€ Jesus answered. “This came about so that God’s works might be displayed in him. Jhn 9:4ÌýÌýWe must do the works of him who sent me while it is day. Night is coming when no one can work. Jhn 9:5ÌýÌýAs long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.â€ Jhn 9:6ÌýÌýAfter he said these things he spit on the ground, made some mud from the saliva, and spread the mud on his eyes. Jhn 9:7ÌýÌý“Go,â€ he told him, “wash in the pool of Siloamâ€ (which means “Sentâ€). So he left, washed, and came back seeing.
Jhn 10:10ÌýÌýA thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance.
Act 10:38ÌýÌýhow God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how he went about doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, because God was with him.
Heb 13:8ÌýÌýJesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
1Jn 3:8ÌýÌýThe one who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.
Mat 10:1ÌýÌýSummoning his twelve disciples, he gave them authority over unclean spirits, to drive them out and to heal every disease and sickness.
Mat 18:18ÌýÌýTruly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will have been loosed in heaven. Mat 18:19ÌýÌýAgain, truly I tell you, if two of you on earth agree about any matter that you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. Mat 18:20ÌýÌýFor where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there among them.â€
Mrk 11:21ÌýÌýThen Peter remembered and said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree that you cursed has withered.â€ Mrk 11:22ÌýÌýJesus replied to them, “Have faith in God. Mrk 11:23ÌýÌýTruly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,â€ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Mrk 11:24ÌýÌýTherefore I tell you, everything you pray and ask for—believe that you have received it and it will be yours. Mrk 11:25ÌýÌýAnd whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven will also forgive you your wrongdoing.â€
Mrk 16:15ÌýÌýThen he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Mrk 16:16ÌýÌýWhoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. Mrk 16:17ÌýÌýAnd these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; Mrk 16:18ÌýÌýthey will pick up snakes; if they should drink anything deadly, it will not harm them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will get well.â€ Mrk 16:19ÌýÌýSo the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. Mrk 16:20ÌýÌýAnd they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the word by the accompanying signs.]
Like Abraham: Rom 4:20ÌýÌýHe did not waver in unbelief at God’s promise but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, Rom 4:21ÌýÌýbecause he was fully convinced that what God had promised, he was also able to do. Rom 4:22ÌýÌýTherefore, it was credited to him for righteousness.
Rom 8:1ÌýÌýTherefore, there is now no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus, Rom 8:2ÌýÌýbecause the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.
Rom 8:11ÌýÌýAnd if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead lives in you, then he who raised Christ from the dead will also bring your mortal bodies to life through his Spirit who lives in you.
Heb 11:6ÌýÌýNow without faith it is impossible to please God, since the one who draws near to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.
1Jn 5:4ÌýÌýbecause everyone who has been born of God conquers the world. This is the victory that has conquered the world: our faith. 1Jn 5:5ÌýÌýWho is the one who conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
Deu 28:61ÌýÌýThe LORD will also afflict you with every sickness and plague not recorded in the book of this law, until you are destroyed. Confession: “According to Deuteronomy 28:61, my sickness, (name your sickness, whether it’s cancer, COVID, kidney disease—whatever it is), is a curse of the Law. But according to Galatians 3:13, Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the Law. Therefore, I confess that I am redeemed from _________â€ (specify the sickness). Gal 3:13ÌýÌýChrist redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, because it is written, Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.
In this book, Rev.Kenneth E. Hagin gives clear insturctions on how to take God's medicine-His Word-so it can become healing and health to all your flesh!
