This was another wonderful volume. The series has quickly become one of my favorites, and I¨m already counting the days until the next release!even though I just finished this one!

Colette and Hades are such compelling main characters. Watching them grow, bit by bit, is a joy. They learn from each other, lean on each other, and their relationship develops so naturally. Nothing feels forced or overly dramatic!there¨s no avalanche of tired clich└s here. Instead, we¨re given a story that unfolds with intention and sincerity.

Every story arc so far has been meaningful, and the balance between heartfelt emotion and comedy (especially from the skeletons!) is done with such care. The slow-burn romance is perfect, and the side characters are written with so much thought and affection!I honestly just want to hug them all.

One of the things I most appreciate is how the manga explores aspects of the medical field. It doesn¨t romanticize them but handles them with honesty and respect. It shows both sides: the patients and the healthcare providers. It reminds us that everyone, in their own way, is just human!sometimes at their lowest, most of the time doing their best.

In the celestial arc, we visit the celestial realm with Colette, where most goddesses seeking her out don¨t want to be cured!they simply want to be heard. There¨s a moment where Holy questions why Colette spends so much time just listening. And yes, when there¨s so much to do, ^chit-chat ̄ can feel like a luxury. But when someone is ill, vulnerable, or in low spirits, being seen and heard is often as essential as medicine itself. Healing is not only about curing!it¨s about nurturing.

Then, in the midwifery arc, we witness how much trust patients place in their healers!and how terrifying that trust can be. Colette learns that even with all the training in the world, healthcare providers live with self-doubt. Outcomes can¨t always be predicted. But they keep showing up. They keep learning. They stay present even when it¨s scary!because they care. Healing, nurturing, and caring: that¨s what being a healer truly means. And it takes a mountain of patience and courage.

I absolutely love this series. It¨s thoughtful, funny, emotional, and beautifully paced. I can¨t wait for Volume 3!

Volume two starts out with Colette acting as healer to the celestial realm. She meets quite a few interesting characters, deals with a fair amount of drama, and begins to kind of mentally explore and question her relationship with Hades. There are some really sweet moments in this little arc between Colette and other characters, including Hades.

After that it moves on to my absolute favorite part of this volume, a bit of backstory for Charon. This is such a sweet and heartbreaking backstory and it made me love Hades that much more because Charon deserves all the good things always. He is perfect and I love him. ??

The rest of the volume sees Colette and her apprentices expanding their knowledge as healers while helping out their community, some more sweet moments between Colette and Hades, and the skeletons being the skeletons.

If you're looking for something that just feels good, this is it. There's a little bit of drama here and there, but so far it's mostly just a really sweet and wholesome story.

In this volume, Colette goes to the celestial realm in a healer role. During this arc, we meet Nike and Holly. While searching for a special flower for Hades, Colette starts to realize some feelings of jealousy about Hades. We also learn a little more about Hades' powers with wards as well as some (frankly terrifying and dark) backstory for Charon.

In the next arc, Colette and Pola become apprentice midwives. Colette is inspired by her celestial friend Holly to give this daunting task her all. She explores some unresolved grief over having lost her mother so young.

The last arc of the volume features Hades and Colette going on an outting to town in order to buy gifts for Hades' servants. While in town, Colette encounters a frail young man from a wealthy family. After assisting him and reassuring him about his health, he proposes to her. She and Hades end up at a very awkward dinner party with the man's family, where they offer to let her be the man's wife and personal apothecary. Colette respectfully declines, but the man gets forceful. Hades swoops in and gets her outta there.

So over the course of the volume, Colette's feelings for Hades are gradually being teased at. She goes to him for reassurance, finds his physical touch delightful, and just find his presence comforting. As the volume closes, we see from Hades' POV that he feels much the same as her (also those earrings he got her were so cute but rudely overshadowed by a proposal). Now they just have to tell each other how they feel! Argh! A brutal way to end the volume on an emotional cliffhanger.

I liked the sidestory on the skeletons, but i liked Charon's chapter more. It was a lot more violent than I was expecting tbh

so cute! I enjoyed the Celestial Realm arc because we got to see more of the gods and meet Holly. I like how Holly becomes a much needed confidant of Colette especially for the next arc. Ending the arc with the flower hunt was nice. I liked learning more about Hades. The Midwife in training Colette arc was also a delight. It gave us more insight to Colette and her past and gave her apprentices Cera and Pola more personality. Hooray for taking breaks! The skeleton bonus story!

This series just keeps making me cry! But in a good way. The way Hades deals with his emotions but also helping with Colette's warms my heart. This might be one of my favorite iterations of Hades I've seen.

The balance between heartfelt moments, silly little gags with the skeletons, slow burn romance, and fleshing out side characters is just so good.

I¨m all but frothing at the mouth that the next volumes aren¨t translated for me yet.

Many things happened while reading volume 2. How is Collete's relationship with colleagues she meets in the Celestial Realm, fellow healers, learning to help a mother give birth, and her relationship with Lord Hades. There is a chapter that makes you surprised that you didn't think you could get there and the direction. Wow, can't wait to read the next volume.

Colette continues her treatment of Hades, which continues to irritate his skeletal servants. One day, Colette is bombarded by many goddesses seeking treatment, and she discovers that Lord Apollo has gone on vacation and recommended her as his stand-in! Zeus asks her to travel to the Celestial Realm to treat the goddesses there and to alleviate the strain on the Mortal Realm. While there, Hades asks a favor of Colette but also puts her under his protection. Upon her return, she takes up midwifing after two local midwives injure themselves, but she quickly learns that becoming successful with her patient is about building up trust over time.

The budding relationship between the Lord of the Underworld and our strong willed apothecary takes a few steps forward in this volume, but it¨s still progressing at a glacial pace. It was also enjoyable to see the Celestial Realm and involve more gods from the pantheon, even if the goddesses were running Colette ragged with their demands. The story line overall has a slow and pleasant atmosphere, which makes the two-in-one volumes worth the investment for romance fans wanting a long-form story to sink their teeth into.
