To save the world, they may have to give up their loved ones.

JUNIPER and her crew are on the run and out of luck. Mino’s health has worsened. Ida is one of the Blessed. And worse still, a war between Astrellune and Kometu has broken out.

Phase Three’s release has turned the tide. With every passing day, thousands are dying. Nothing can stop the mind-controlled, relentless Blessed.

But all is not lost.

Juniper’s only hope is to find the elusive fail-safe in Carter’s estates. All they have to do is infiltrate the place, search it inside and out, and, most importantly, stay alive.

The mission's success seems all but guaranteed—until the device reveals a secret, and Juniper faces her most challenging decision yet: sacrifice Mino to stop the war or let millions of people die.

ASTOR vows to rescue his parents, who are caught up in the war in Kometu. But his plans go awry when he’s kidnapped and thrown back to where it all started—Lumina City.

Danger lies at every turn, but this time, he refuses to cower. Not even at Ethan Valdis, CEO of Neuranet Industries and the man responsible for the war.

The odds are overwhelmingly against them. But with innocent lives hanging in the balance, Juniper and Astor won’t be swayed. They’ll forge ahead no matter what it takes…even if that means sacrificing everything.

Neuravoid is the third and final installment of Project Juniper, a thrilling YA/NA cyberpunk series written by Eris Goode. A perfect read for fans of Amie Kaufman’s Illuminae, Marissa Meyer’s Cinder, or Marie Lu’s Legend, filled with gritty characters, futuristic settings, and riveting action.

Eris Goode is the author of Project Juniper, a YA/NA cyberpunk series that marks her first foray into the world of self-publishing. A twenty-three-year-old from Canada, she graduated in 2022 with a double degree in Geomatics and English Lit and Rhetoric, complete with a minor in computer science and a specialization in creative writing.

Other than obsessing over writing, Eris also enjoys obsessing over art. Recently, she’s wielded her sketchbook and pencil once more to draw some poor anatomy, cute frogs, and poisonous-looking mushrooms. When she’s not doing that, she’s re-watching shows and movies she’s seen a million times because she just can’t stick with something new. Her favorites include Bee and Puppycat, Arcane, Jennifer’s Body, Adventure Time, and Howl’s Moving Castle.

Eris wrote her first story when she was ten years old. It was about the souls of the dead, and it was extremely cringe, but it was also a stepping stone that led her to continue writing cringe. Then, at seventeen years old, she completed the first draft of Neurahack, which was (lazily) called Juniper at the time. Those 50K words were a total mess, and over the years, it was rewritten and edited countless times, along with the other books in the series. Now, she’s excited to share her published work with everyone!

A fast and furious finish to the series. Juniper being both fast and furious, understandably. I bought this at midnight launch day as I so needed to know what would become of the gang.

Astor and Juni are the sort of odd couple characters you can really root for; strong in their own ways and spirited enough never to give up. Also: quiet chemistry.

While it could be a little dark at times (oh Ida) and again some wins seemed to come easily to our rag tag crew after all the build up, it ties off the ends of the story in a suitably YA fashion. I wished there could have been a little more to the aftermath of the dramatic sections (sometimes things just seemed to skip ahead a bit), but I enjoyed the series for what it is and look forward to more from this author team.

Avoid the Kool-Aid and the brain chips at all costs
For those who don’t believe in conspiracy theories and all that, this series is PROOF that we’ve been living in ‘Brave New World since well before 1984.
After realizing what’s wrong and before acting, it takes time and many people to come up with a plan to right the wrong(s), analyze contingencies & options, gather supplies, etc. Then there’s implementing said plans; then there’s rebuilding from the ashes. Sometimes, the latter is the more difficult of the two.

While this is a work of fiction, the theme of “war for profit is an all-too realistic problem IRL.

Some sage advice from the author:
Always prepare.
Believe in something.
Know that The Happy Place resides within you

Fave line:
‘Charisma isn’t a quality to be underestimated.

May we all have the wisdom to question everything, the compassion to helps others, and the guts to stand up for righting the wrongs in our world.

I've been reading the Project Juniper world since the first book, it has been a great journey so far and Neuravoid is another great book in the series. I had to read this right away and enjoyed every minute of this. The characters felt like they belonged in this universe and that they continued the story perfectly. Kris Ruhler has a strong writing style and am excited to read whatever is next.

Book three in an easy read YA fantasy series. This is an excellent series that I have enjoyed, lots. Book three is exciting from the start as Juniper and her friends jump from one frying pan into another trying to stop Phase three. But each time they seem to be making progress and have a solution another hurdle appears. Yet she’s not giving up as she tries to save her friends. Thank you to Eris Goode, Kris Ruhler and BookSirens for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

A satisfying ending to the series. At the end, there is some violence that might be a bit much for younger teens. The pace was good, and never lagged. Lots of action. I received a free copy of this book, with no obligation.
