When I met British billionaire Kabir Spencer at Splice London, he promised me an unforgettable night and nothing more. One night turned into a string of encounters, each one hotter than the next.
As our dynamic evolved, Spence helped me explore a side of myself I didn’t know existed until the moment I uttered the words Yes, Sir.
Then my secrets and my sorrow became too much to bear, and I well and truly broke.
During my lowest of lows, Spence cared for me in all the ways I needed.
Now, he’s come to my rescue once again, though he dropped a bomb of a secret when he arrived.
I have a lot of explaining to do to my current boyfriend and my ex-boyfriend-slash-stepbrother, but I’ll have plenty of time to get to it while we’re trapped together in the mountains for the holidays.
As if that isn’t enough, my narcissistic mother is back in town, and she and my stepfather will be joining us, too.
Nothing more didn’t last. Nothing I love ever stays.
It’s for the best. It’s only a matter of time before the possessiveness and sizzling tension between the three men in my life reach a boiling point and start to feel too real.
So Real is the second book in the Boys of South Chapel series. It is a steamy second chance why choose romance that must be read in order. A full list of tropes and triggers can be found on the author’s website.
Abby Millsaps is an author and storyteller who's been obsessed with writing romance since middle school. In eighth grade, she failed to qualify for the Power of the Pen State Championships because all her submissions contained the same theme: young people falling in love. #LookAtHerNow
She's best known for writing unapologetically angsty romance that causes emotional damage for her readers. Abby prides herself in writing authentic characters while weaving mental health, chronic illness, and neurodiverse representation into the fabric of her stories.
Abby met her husband at a house party the summer before her freshman year of college. He had a secret pizza stashed in the trunk of his car that he was saving for a midnight snack—how was she supposed to resist that level of golden retriever energy and preparedness? When Abby isn't writing, she's reading, traveling, and raising her three daughters.
"Everything has a reason, and for everything, there's a season."
One night. That was all it was supposed to be with British billionaire Kabir Spencer. But it wasn't just one night. It was so much more. And then Hunter did what she always does. She ran. And now he's on her front door. Coming to rescue her once again. With her current boyfriend and her ex-boyfriend/stepbrother in the same house. Everything is going to come to light. But will they survive the tornado heading their way?
"He's leaving. Good things always do. Everything I love always will."

"There isn't anything I wouldn't do for her. There isn't anything I wouldn't give her."
I literally barely have any words to describe how much I was ABSOLUTELY CONSUMED BY THIS BOOK (NOT JOKING AT ALL!!!) I loved the first book in this series and I had to know what was gonna happen because I thought that cliffhanger was something BUT PEOPLE PLEASE!!! MA'AM MA'AM - THAT CLIFFHANGER - ABSOLUTELY WTF??? I literally was so close to throwing my kindle at the wall but I settled for saying "WTF" to myself multiple times (not a joke - I wish I could add a video of me doing that but please just imagine that in your heads - thank you very much). All I can say is I cannot WAIT for the next book and I am counting down the days!!! 🩷🩷
"I very much liked it when you called me sir."
We come back to Hunter and the guys with a new surprise on her door step. But will that surprise help or just shake things up? As we already know - I loved Hunter!! This book was so emotional and had so many moving parts that came together that I absolutely LOVED! This book does a "Then and Now" part which really lets you see the backstory as the actual story unfolds and it is absolutely PERFECT for Hunter and her guys. I was so torn for Greedy and Hunter and then Levi just being in the tornado - love them all and this story was definitely something. And my my spencer (insert me fanning myself) - this MF MAN WAS SOMETHING (IN THE BEST POSSIBLE FUCKING WAY)!!! OMGGGGG all I can say is this man will definitely live rent free in my head and it is something I would definitely recommend reading so you can experience all the glory 😇😇😇
"Ultimately, it doesn't matter. When it comes to Hunter, it's always yes."
This playlist came out very easily for me (and I love when that happens) - I loved this book so much it was so much fun to do the playlist for and in my humble opinion - IT FITS PERFECTLY PEOPLE 🥰🥰

So this is basically like book 1 but throwing another dick into the story who likes to be called sir
𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨: This starts directly after the epic cliffhanger of book 1 and, as I eluded to, we meet another one of Hunter's loverboys, Kabir Spencer, who is just as hypnotised by her vagina as Greedy and Levi. We also meet Hunter's infamous mother, who gives us a magnificent view of why Hunter is as fucked up as she is. This, like book 1, is told in MultiPOV and Dual Timeline, but this timeline has moved to post-Hunter leaving the US and dealing with the miscarriage in London, and how that trauma brings her closer to Spence. Now in the present, the three need to navigate their interesting sexual dynamic and relationship, and how they all fit together (literally and figuratively) with Hunter.
𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨: Abby Millsaps has this amazing ability that has made me love and hate Hunter AT THE SAME TIME. Past Hunter is infuriating, annoying, and stupid. She makes the worst decisions and is impulsive, and basically, all I wanted was for her old self to grow up and for the new her to just open up and talk. She keeps going on about how she got so much better and learnt how to communicate with the therapist she went to, but I SAW NONE OF THIS PUT INTO PRACTICE.
Kabir was something else; I did not expect the PERFECTION of this man. He was sex on two legs, and the dominant personality he added to the Harem had me kicking my feet, and squealing. He also has a deliciously dirty mouth and a sexual appetite that is just as perfect! At one point, while listening to this, my husband walked in and heard a “scene, and the blush HE FORMED!!!!
Greedy is still my favourite of the boys, but I still think it’s because he is such a broken sweetheart who just wants Hunter to love him, and I think it’s because at times he is too good for Hunter. I still don’t know why he is such a love-sick fool for the girl that keeps breaking his heart... BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS...
Levi was fantastic as we got to see more of him embracing who he is and his sexuality. While it was alluded to previously, it was all “past mentions, whereas in this, we see Levi on-page being open to exploring his feelings and what that means for his relationship with Greedy (and Kabir)... (and Hunter).
The plot is generally up and down and highly emotional, so prepare for a rollercoaster where you just hold on tight and try not to yell GREEDY!
From an Audio perspective, this was both spectacular and annoying (BUT NOT FROM THE NARRATION POV), more from the production POV. The narrators did an epic job at their characters, and I know my panties melted every time one of the boys spoke because their voices, accents, and portrayal were AMAZING. June Deborahae also did a really great job of portraying Hunter and her emotional journey. She goes through some rough times in this, and it’s heartbreaking, and even harder listening to that struggle in voice, and quite frankly, it was nailed in this!
Now, why the production annoyed me is because normally, when you have dual narration, you have four voices to get used to. There’s the FMC narrator and the voice she uses when speaking for the MMC, and then the male narrator who has his voice and his interpretation of the FMC’s voice. Essentially, two distinct voices for each character.
I believe this book would have benefited more from a duet narration (or the equivalent of a duet involving four narrators) rather than the standard dual type. Keeping each narrator confined to their own chapter meant that not only did Hunter’s character have to voice Levi, Kabir, and Greedy, but the other boys had to do the same. So, each character ended up having four different voices, leading to 16 voices in total. The only reason I could tell them apart was that the boys had different accents, so when characters switched accents, I could pick it up.
Without the various accents corresponding to different locations, it probably would have been harder to figure out who was speaking when. I feel like I wouldn’t have been taken out of the story so often if the production had gone in the direction of letting each person voice their own lines, and having the character whose chapter it is narrate the rest. That way, if Hunter was speaking in one of the boys chapters, the narrator who voiced Hunter would deliver her lines. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn’t needed to keep up with 16 different voices in my mind, especially since four was already enough to handle in terms of the plot. There are just so many people.

I am not sure what to rate this book because I could see myself reading the next book but it won't be because I love the series. I want to know what happened after the cliffhanger in this book but I don't know if I can put myself through another book about Hunter and her bad decisions. !!
Spoilers Below!! This is going to be very different than my other reviews so just a warning ahead of time. If you asked me if you should read this I would say yes but prepare to be enraged or maybe you like it? Honestly, I have no idea how I'm feeling after reading this. I truly despised just about everyone in this book except for Greedy. That man has my heart and my sympathy always. Everyone else can kick rocks honestly. I don’t think I've ever read a book where I hated the main character as much as I hate Hunter, the FMC. Every decision this girl makes is the wrong one. Every single time. I understand why the first book was called So Wrong because that was how it all went and I did say "Be so fucking for real" while reading this so the theme is doing its thing but at the cost of my sanity. What I would love to say to Hunter is that if you lie to someone about something major, I mean absolutely major, potentially life-changingly major, you do not get to try and force them to process it quickly or in a nice and linear manner. She literally says at the end of So Wrong that she never wanted Greedy to find out that she was pregnant which I could be ok with, if she didn't tell his best friend and essentially this random man from London. Do I think Kabir should have said what he said, no, but I mean everyone knew but the man who would have been the father to the baby. That's messed up! Then once he finds out and is obviously upset shes mad that he won't talk to her, is angry, and is ignoring her? You mean doing everything that you did when you ran away to another country for THREE YEARS?! Like she just keeps crying like he's going to be swayed by that and then Levy and Kabir step in like Greedy doesn't have a right to be pissed. Then with the addition of Kabir you bring in the Dom/Sub dynamic, ok love, but for it to be intense times and then suddenly this random man calling her a slut and basically a useless hole comes in and I just couldn't get into him. I wanted him to leave but now he's a part of the group... he doesn't fit into the vibes of the group. Also Levy basically was just there for no reason for this book except to go find Greedy and hug him, or for like a sex scene. To continue my hate train, Hunter's mom is a piece of work and I want Dr. Ferguson to get his head out of his ass and dump Magnolia. Like he calls Greedy when this woman starts showing her true colors cause she can't get in touch with her daughter and he doesn't think, hmm weird? I hope Magnolia don't get a liver, which is horrible but so is she! I just could not with these characters. The only good one is Greedy and I just want him to leave all these people and go pro. The fact that he just got told that he was almost a father, and then asked the obvious question of wheres the baby to then be yelled at that she obviously miscarried was the first thing to enrage me in the book and then his treatment just got worse and worse all for him to say "Oh sorry I overreacted" NO YOU DIDN'T if anything I don't think he reacted enough for me. I would have knocked everything over, punched the British kid harder and probably punched Levy too cause he knew. the whole time. and said NOTHING. EVER. i can't keep writing about this because I get more and more angry. like Greedy didn't deserve any of this then on top of that musty ass Magnolia is talking shit about his dead mom's plates? i would have thrown one at her. God these people made me mad. watch me read book 3 tho.
I'm really loving this series, which is surprising because it's definitely much more character driven than I typically like. In this book, we get a better look at what Hunter did in London when she ran way from Greedy and how she met her mysterious British man. He's now in the picture in the present, so Hunter is navigating her relationship with the three guys, and they're navigating their relationship with each other. I do think that the Greedy situation resolved just a smidge too quickly, but I love the dynamic of the four of them and how they are figuring out their relationship with one another. The ending has me so curious and I can't wait to dive into the next book!
DNF at 19%. I tried so hard and wanted to push through but I couldn't make myself do it.
I hated Kabir/Spence. He shows up out of nowhere, he's a rich toff (whatever, I'm British and he sounds like a right twat), he's installed a GODAMN TRACKER IN HER BODY THAT SHE DOESN'T KNOW ABOUT and then he's dropping mean truth bombs and enables Hunter's continued horrific treatment of Greedy. The dude who's family home he's just shown up at. Basic manners would say that's not acceptable.
I was also getting more and more pissed off at Hunter. So every month when she gets her period she can't cope with the reminder of the loss of the baby and goes to Greedy for comfort. She finally sleeps with him and then immediately hurts him again. She's had a fuck tonne of therapy, has a therapist on call and calls them because she's in crisis, only to shut off her phone and not deal with any of it. Girl is messed up in the head and flat out toxic to those around her.
And the parents. How is the Dad/step dad so oblivious? To the fact his son was a sloppy and miserable drunk at the family dinner. And to the fact Hunter shut down and wouldn't go near her mother (then and clearly in the past). And the fact that other shit is clearly going on with them. Neglectful parenting at it's finest and kind of hard to believe when he's insisting on having family time and was the reason Hunter came home. Surely he'd be paying some attention.
Maybe if I'd been able to read this immediately after the first book I could've got past the heavy drama so early on, but it come on so fast after a break in the story and I wasn't here for it. I liked Greedy and Levi and their treatment here was awful. I wanted Hunter to be an interesting character and open to them because I actually liked her in Joey's series. Instead she was awful and clearly in no way ready for any kind of relationship and using sex to deal with her issues. Not what I was in the mood for at all and I was just done with it.

These boys I tell ya 😍 We get so much more backstory for everyone in this one. The narration was fabulous and the spice was on fire. Excited for the next book! Much love to NetGalley & Dreamscape Media for my ALC!
Well we starts right where we left off with a Greedy finally finding out about the baby and Kabir showing up being the one to expose it all. Which I think sucks how he found out but I mean finally because I don’t see Hunter ever being fully honest with him or Levi for that matter. Ok so I waited quite some time because you guys I really didn’t want to write my review. I really wanted to like Hunter and I was really hoping that on this book she was going to grow on me and I would love her. I mean in the first book I had moments where she annoyed the heck out of me but then I understood her and felt for her so I was hopeful. Nope sorry all this second half of their story did was make me really dislike her more. I felt she was selfish and had tendencies like her mother just in different ways. She used those boys because she knew they would all do anything and everything she asked which I know it’s their fault but still. I felt she was very cruel to manipulate them how she did. To me the way she would treat them and manipulate them then automatically make them feel like she was the poor victim in every situation really made me hate her. I mean come on what she did to Greedy for years she pushed him away and made him feel like he had done something so horrible and then punished him for it over and over without even trying to explain what had happened. It was his loss too and when he finally finds out she acts like he has no reason to feel hurt and she is the wronged person. I mean come on he ends up apologizing for his reactions. Oh and let’s not forget at the very beginning when Kabir shows up and drops the bomb she should have told herself to Greedy herself years ago, and she sees how hurt and worried Levi about him all she’s worried about is herself and adding another person to be by her side so she not only pulls Levi in but asks Kabir to stay with her. Like come on if that is not a narcissist selfish behavior at play then what is. I’m sorry but if this is your type of jam more power to you but it surely was not mine.

Start reading So Wrong, book 1 in the Boys of South Chapel series!
I’ve been sitting on this review for a while. While I mostly enjoyed So Wrong, I had issues with Hunter and was hoping for a redemption arc in So Real.
That did not happen. Hunter is manipulative, narcissistic, selfish, and purposefully cruel. And then has the audacity to act as if she’s the victim.
I felt like I was reading a psychological text describing abusive relationships throughout So Real. She has continually abused Greedy (the only good character) but then gets sad when he no longer wants to be around her. She’s abused Greedy so much that he apologizes for his very valid reaction, because he hurt her fee fees.
And don’t get me started on the BDSM and M/M. They felt so out of place, like they were just added for shock value.
So Real truly made me reflect on what I love about the why choose genre. And what I love is the togetherness, the family, the equality of all the members. It’s not when Person A decides she wants to have multiple people and forces the others to accept her choices. Most contemporary why choose stories include a lot of communication and a willingness for a poly relationship. What happens here is Hunter deciding she wants to be with whomever she wants and you either accept it or you’re judging her and wrong.
At the end of the day, I think I have to just accept that not all books are for me, despite still being obsessively in love with Abby’s Boys of Lake Chapel series. No one can compare to you, Stats Daddy.

While I mostly enjoyed So Wrong I had issues with Hunter and was hoping for a redemption arc in So Real. Spoiler alert: that did not happen. Hunter is like the poster child for "How to Win Friends and Influence People"—if that book were written by a narcissistic villain. She's manipulative, selfish, and has the audacity to act like she’s the one wronged. Seriously, she’s got a PhD in Drama Queenology.
Reading about her treatment of Greedy (who deserves a medal for surviving her) felt like studying a psychological textbook on abusive relationships—only with more eye rolls. She's so cruel that Greedy apologizes for having a normal human reaction to her shenanigans. It’s like watching a soap opera where the villain keeps winning while the good guy is left wondering why he even bothered showing up.
And then there’s Spencer. What even was that? It’s like the author suddenly decided to throw in a new character just to shake things up—because why not introduce a Dom/Sub dynamic out of nowhere? It felt like I was reading two different books that were smashed together in a fit of artistic rage.
All my hopes for Levi, Greedy, and Hunter were tossed out the window like yesterday’s leftovers once the Dom/Sub plot kicked in. It gave me the ick in the worst way.
In short, I felt like I was watching a car crash in slow motion: shocking, confusing, and ultimately kind of tragic.
If you thought Hunter, Greedy and Levi were hot wait until you add dom Kibar to the mix.
Letting out Hunter’s secret sets off a chain of events that led to heartache and feelings from everyone involved. On top of Hunters narcissistic mother popping in and stirring up more trouble this book was full of a myriad of emotions.
I couldn’t get enough and that cliff hanger ! Again! How am I supposed to wait till the fall to get my answers and see what happens next?!
when i got the audio ARC i ran and it didn’t disappointed. i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again: this series is so so incredibly underrated. the romance, the characters, the plot it’s all just 🤌🤌
first of all HELLO SPENCE?? this man is my husband and he’s so funny😭😭 the dynamic between the four of them was so so sweet but also fiery and they all work so well. Spence is there being the Big Bad Billionaire Boy™️ and Levi is bringing the golden retriever energy once again. Greedy had a rough start but he came back to being everyone’s favorite lover boy. And Hunter growth and challenges in this book made me hurt for her and she just needs her guys and a hug.
dear abby: THE CLIFFHANGER?? HELLO?? why would you mess up my family like that😔😔 im going to try to wait for the audio version of So Rare but at this point i might have to pick up the next one immediately!!
"You'll never escape me, love. I know you feel like you need to keep running, but we are inevitable. I'll follow you and I'll find you, through every trial. Through every lifetime."
Well... well... well... That cliffy brought too many things in the surface, things that changed everything that we already knew about Hunter and her guys... Not two anymore, but three... Everything started when Hunter ran away from Greedy and she landed in London. There she met, Spence, a guy older than her, who knew how to chase what he wanted... They decided to spent a night together, but that night turned to so much more... Spence helped Hunter very much in her healing process, but as always, Hunter ran away from him... But now, Spence is on her doorstep and he is demanding her time and attention, while he is revealing secrets that she was holding deep down and that will destroy her renewed relationship with her ex/stepbrother.... What will happen after all???
"I don't know how any of us will come back from this..."
The truth is that I am not very fond of sharing, cause I am an overly emotional person, but I can not deny that these four were hot together!!! Hunter is a very lucky girl!!! All the boys will do anything for her!!! To be honest though, even though I can feel her, some times I dislike this girl... To me, she seems too selfish!!! She is playing these boys in her delicate fingers and they are woshipping the ground she is walking!!! Yes, she had suffered greatly, but she is falling in love very easily and she is forgetting equally easily!!!
"He's leaving. Good things always do. Everything I love always will."
Let's talk about the boys!!! I have fallen in love with Greedy from the very first moment!!! This boy!!! This boy is so heartsick for Hunter!!! He could do anything for her and even though he hurt him deeply, he still looks upon her with so much love, even though their situation had turned complicated as hell!!! As for his best friend, Levi??? Honestly, I can not understand why he is between them... I am feeling like he is there just to be there, cause I can not feel a connection!!!
"Three fucking years, and I can't let her go."
And now, let's talk about the new member on this foursome.... Kabir Spencer and his other million names... LOL!!! This man was fire!!! He is battling for the top of my heart with Greedy... He was a man that he was drawing attention from anyone... A man possessive and protective!!! A dominator!!! He was a man that you could do anything that he would ask of you, so I can understand Hunter and her reactions to him.... But as always, my romantic part is battling with my submissive one over these guys!!! LOL
"I knew it wasn't really goodbye for you and me." "How?" "I've told you before, love. We're endgame."
And OMG!!! There is one more??? I am really wondering where this story will lead us with four guys and a witch of a mother who is making Hunter's life a complete mess... How this dynamic of five will be play out??? Will they find a middle ground and co-exist all together??? After all sharing is caring, no??? Yes, I have my little issues, but I can not deny that this book was hot as hell!!!
"We aren't over," I whisper. We were never over, Tem."

This has become one of my favorite why choose series. It hits all the levels it needs to, a deep story line, the most perfect relationships for exactly what’s Hunter needs in every moment. THE SPICE 👏 With a splash of suspense. This is all the emotions wrapped up into a bow. It has a college football player MMC, a British Billionaire, a southern gentleman, a strong FMC really not sure what more you could want in a book because this is the perfect mix of it all!
I could seriously go on forever about this series and will be waiting for the next one as patiently as possible, because that cliffy! Ask me to pic my favorite MMC, well she doesn’t have to choose so neither do it. 🤭

“It’s okay if you’re not okay, he tells me softly. “But you will be. Tell me you understand, Firecracker. You will be okay.
“Wear something slutty, he hollers after me. “Yes, Sir, I call back over my shoulder.
Thank you Valentine PR & Abby for the title in advance in exchange for an honest review.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ “You’ll never escape me, love. I know you feel like you need to keep running, but we are inevitable. I’ll follow you and I’ll find you, through every trial. Through every lifetime. Tell me you understand what you mean to me.
Well, I wasn’t expecting ANY of that! The angst—yeah, I knew we were in for a boatload of emotions, but I was not prepared for the rest. I found myself devouring the story to get to the end, and I was even less prepared for that cliffhanger ending. I knew there would be a cliffhanger, but oh man, what a way to end the book.
I’m adding this to my list of books that made me cry. Perhaps it was the shared experience of a miscarriage, the shame and guilt associated with it. But I felt Hunter’s pain as if it were my own. Abby Millsaps excelled at putting into words the pain of pregnancy loss. Superbly (and respectfully) done!
With all that said, please be kind to yourself and read the Content Warnings and Author’s Note (which has spoilers) before proceeding.
This book is fast-burn and spicy with detailed BDSM scenes, MF, and group scenes with MM. This is a building harem situation with new and old MMCs joining the relationship.
I loved the first book of this series. But Spencer just threw me. He does not fit. It changes the complete tone of the book. Why introduce Dom/Sub now? Plus don’t get me started on the gps tracking chip.
All my hopes for Levi, Greedy and Hunter were thrown out the window when the Dom/Sub relationship was introduced suddenly. Where was the consent or discussion before Levi & Greedy were forced to be apart of that? I don’t think their connection is enough to be true consent. It was just gave me the ick.
I feel like the author wrote two different books and just smooshed together for dramatic effect.
I think Levi, Greedy and Hunter deserved to fall in love as a triad. Louie should have been the emergency contact and the one to let the bomb drop.
So Real is the second book in the Boys of South Chapel romance series. Kabir Spencer has just arrived in South Chapel to see Hunter and his appearance has the past replaying in Hunter’s mind. Kabir has rescued Hunter in the last and he’s prepared to do it again. Secrets come out and Hunter is ready to come clean about what happened when she ran away to London. Faced with this and her narcissistic mother, Hunter once again has a lot on her plate.
I had mixed feelings about the first book in this series and gave it the benefit of the doubt, but this book made up my mind on this series for good. This series is not for me. I didn’t fully connect with the characters or the story in the first book and in this continuation I found the same thing happening. This series is full of tropes that I’m finding aren’t for me, but that doesn’t mean others wouldn’t enjoy this series. The book is well written and the author has done a good job with the ending of each book pulling the reader in for another. The cliffhanger endings are done really well and they definitely get you excited for the next book in the series, if you connected with the story at all. I am not a fan of the why choose mentality in these books and haven’t liked the addition of more guys to throw into the mix. I was okay with the love triangle but once you thrown a third and potentially fourth you into the mix it’s too much for me. If these types of romances are your thing, definitely give this series a try, buts it’s just not for me as much as I hate saying that.
So glad to be back in this world, just sad it's over for a bit now until the next book.
I love Abby Millsaps' writing, she's such a good author. To me, one of my favorite thing from great writers is that I understand why a character makes a choice. I might not agree, I might even yell at my phone, but I get why they did it. Abby Millsaps nailed that in this book.
We finally got some insights into Hunter's time in London and everything she went through. I loved how Abby Millsaps handled Hunter's mental health. I thought it was a very good representation, and I really felt everything Hunter went through.
My only complaint with this book is maybe there was a bit too much London. I get why it had to be done that way, I just really missed Greedy and especially Levi.
I loved what we got from Greedy and Levi when we finally got more present time. I loved seeing all 4 of them together. And I just really love Levi.
That cliffhanger really shocked me. I cannot wait for the next book. I can't wait to see how Abby Millsaps introduces yet another character. It's gonna be interesting.
I absolutely HAD to put this book down-a new character was introduced and my goodness, he is ABSOLUTELY disgusting and it has just plummeted the book.
I see that there is a "to be continued" for a book 3 coming out in October, so I am putting the book away and I'll return in October in hopes that I can tolerate not only this new character that appeared from London "Sir" but also tolerate the FMC because she is also ridiculous.
I honestly understand, the aftermath of going through trauma-but the way this woman is just a drag out torment to these boys is gross, the beginning of this book is truly gross. I honestly am just heart broken for Greedy, I drew the line and closed the book.
Good Luck to all those that can continue. May the future I can because I truly did think it was going to eventually go somewhere but not that turn....

After I read the previous part of this series, 'So Wrong', I needed to find out what happened next in this crazy story. So, if you haven't read that one, you probably shouldn't read this review😅. Thank you Abby and Valentine Pr for this e-copy.
As I mentioned, the ending of the last book was a bit jaw dropping and left us with so many questions. This was because another man appeared in this story, for which things are being explained in this part.
It had a two timelines - one from the present and one from the past, from when Hunter ran away in London. It was explained everything that happened out there and how Hunter met and formed a bound with this mysterious man, in his short name: Kabir Spence. Also, we learn about the struggles Hunter had to face mentally after everything that happened to her before she ran away. She was deeply marked by those events and almost carried her to extreme measures.
In the present we have all the four main characters in the front line: Hunter, Greedy, Levi and Kabir. They will try to distinguish what relationship is between each of them and things will evolve throughout the story. In this whole mess, Hunter and Greedy's parents are complicating the situation even more, which are making the four from that group to reach to an agreement. On top, Levi mother is still pressing him and he doesn't know how to resolve that problem.
Of course, the same as the previous book, this one had it's parts of spiciness 🔥 and all I can say is that they really made me blush. Kabir's appearance came with an extra bit of spice and you'll see what I'm talking about if you read this story.
This book enlightened me about what happened with Hunter and how she handled everything. I liked that I got to discover what was in her soul and to understand her better. One thing I don't like about her is the uncertainty about the one she loves, especially when I read the last chapters of the book. The end left me again blown away and curious about the next part.
please note that the trigger warnings and topes/themes may contain spoilers I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. HEA: cliffhanger POV: multi 1st person POV spice: a few open-door spicy scenes TWs: death of a parent (recounted), degradation, dissociative fugue states, emotional abuse, grief, manipulation, miscarriage (recounted, on page), unintentionally missed safe wording, narcissism, PTSD, suicidal ideation, mild stalking Kinky Content: anal play, BDSM, bratting, breath play, cum play, degradation, Dom/sub dynamics, double penetration, exhibitionism, felching, hand necklaces, hands free cumming, humiliation, impact play, MMF, MMMF, oral, outdoor sex, rimming, praise, snowballing, spit as lube, spitting, “teach me, threesome standalone: book 2 of The Boys of South Chapel series final thoughts: WOWZA. Book 2 is full to the brim of angst and emotion. This book was somehow a slow read (not in a bad way!) because of the emotional content and a fast read because of the relationship building. The pacing felt right for this storyline and added to the instability and unreliability of Hunter. While the plot wasn’t driven forward too far, since it’s dual timeline and the “now takes place over a short period of time, the connections between the characters (old and new) were a major plot. We get to see the different connections not only between the love interests, but parents/parental figures as well. A highly, highly emotional read with lots of triggers, lots of spicy content, and another huge cliffhanger. I’m anticipating the next read to see how this plays out I know me and my buddy reading friends have our theories but I’m DYING for answers!!

I found Abby’s books at the end of last year and I am so glad I did. With each book she writes I fall even more in love with her writing and her ability to create a world full of characters you can’t help but fall in love and obsess about. Abby just popped up on my newsfeeds on Instagram one day and I’m so incredibly thankful that it happened!

Firstly, you must read these books in order, so you need to read So Wrong before this book. After reading and finishing the first book in the series So Wrong, I was eager to get my hands on So Real and now that I have read it, devoured every single word and loved every single word I want to go for round two! It was so good. I love Abby’s writing style. It pulls me right into the story and makes me feel like I’m in the actual story.
I was completely amazed and in awe of Hunter and of her personal growth, her resilience, strength, self-discovery, healing and learning to forgive herself. Her journey is so relatable to me and so real, I can’t help but get choked up about it a little. I really adore Hunter. She has become a favourite FMC of mine. I also loved watching her and the boys connect and navigate uncharted waters as they grew closer and the connection between the four of them continued to strengthen.
Greedy owned my heart. The pain I felt for that boy and the hurt was completely justified. However, as hurt as he is, he still loves Hunter more than the hurt he feels.
Levi needed to grow a backbone in this book in my opinion. I feel like he kind of hid inside himself a little in this part of the story. His insecurities often made it hard for him to stand up for himself which is something I can understand, it’s something I struggle with myself. It’s very relatable to a lot of people.
Kabir he’s kindhearted, compassionate, and thoughtful and his best interests are always for Hunter. No matter what, he always puts her first. She’s his main priority. Her happiness and well-being. He embraces Greedy and Levi because of the connection, bond and love they have for Hunter. He’s just an amazing guy. You cannot fault him. *Swoon*
This book was a now and then storyline so we got to see a lot of the past that has happened and things that have led up to now. A lot of Hunter's backstory is explained and things for put in perspective it’s helped me understand a lot about her and has a lot to do with how their unique, yet beautiful relationship works.
The spicy was top-tier, as was the banter. I laughed, I cried and I swooned throughout this book. I am more in love with these four characters than I was before I started reading this if that’s even possible!
I can’t wait to see what the next book brings! The waiting drives me nuts but it’s worth it!
How did I get through 2 books before realizing this is a 4 part series and this would ALSO end on a cliffhanger?! *shakes fist in air* ABBYYYYYY WHY MUST YOU DO THIS TO ME?!
As with the first, please make sure to check the trigger warnings, there's some really heavy stuff discussed in this book, but the PMDD rep and what led to it might be the biggest one.
So...I'm not sure where to start with this review. It starts off exactly where book 1 ends. My heart almost this entire book broke and ached for Greedy. Everything he was going through. His ARC in this book is a little fast for me. I feel like he should've taken longer to untangle his feelings, but so much was going on and at the end of the day, he loves Hunter too much to just let the hurt make him cave. What's one more hurt after all the years of hurting.
Levi...poor, sweet, Levi. Such an eager puppy. He's so good. He's so understanding. He's so desperately wanting everything to be fixed and go back to "normal." He's also starting to really come into his own during this book. He's realizing who he is, what he wants, and what he has to offer. (He's low-key my favorite).
And then we have the newbie...Spencer. Oh, Spencer. Wow...what a dynamic shift he brings. Him and Hunter are hot! The way he dominates and soothes and calms all at the same time? Yeowza! The way he's just open and willing to bring in Levi (and eventually Greedy) with open arms and realize what needs to be done for this to work is also sexy.
I see the need Hunter has for each of them and the need they have for her. It's sweet, it's sexy, it's heart aching, it's necessary. I'm a little worried about our mystery Italian and how he's going to fit in to all this. I love the dynamic of all of them now and am worried that adding another one to the mix is going to throw things off and just be too much.
THAT CLIFFHANGER! Lord, have mercy! I thought the So Wrong cliffhanger was bad, but this one was SOOOOOO WRONG (see what I did there)! I can't believe I have one more cliffhanger before this all comes to an end, but I'm also so very happy that there's 2 more books with this group as I'm really not ready to walk away from them.
Thank you, Abby Millsaps and Valentine PR for the ARC.
I’m saddened with this second book. First one had great potential and hooked me in. This one. I felt like we rushed the introduction of his royal highness. And to be honest. I hated it. I didn’t come to love him like we should have. I was so upset Greedy and Tem didn’t get an ACTUAL heart to heart ever. They just…swept it under the rug. And Greedy was so nonchalant about just accepting them all as is. He went from hating Spence to getting jerked off by him by the end of the book. Just. Idk wasn’t feeling it and not going into the third book.
