Bramble's first never-before-published title from #1 New York Times bestseller Vi Keeland is Jilted, a slow-burn, swooning romance where 27 Dresses meets The Hating Game.

Weddings. I spend every working minute thinking and talking and writing about weddings, when the very concept makes me want to scream. After my fiancé abandoned me at the altar last year, my dream job at Bride magazine has turned reoccurring nightmare.

To add insult to injury, I’ve been conscripted into the bridal party of some bridezilla just because she knows the owners son. So of course I spend all afternoon bickering with one of the groomsmen and all evening making out with him.

Things only get better when I learn that of course ’s the owner’s son and I’ll have to spend the rest of the season working with him at every single wedding I cover this year.

Can the jilted bride and the man who is afraid of love find a way to heal each other?

Sloane Carrick has been obsessed with weddings since she was a little girl, so she was thrilled to have landed her dream job as a writer for Bride Magazine in New York. Then she lost her joy and love of weddings when she was left standing at the altar six months ago. She was completely blindsided, and her trust had been shattered. She’d sworn off men, and decided not to date for at least a year. Then she meets Wilder Hayes. The gorgeous groomsman with captivating eyes at the current assignment s’s working. S’s there to cover the wedding, and suddenly s’s persuaded into filling in for a missing bridesmaid. From there her night continues to take many unexpected turns, and at one point she ends up having a moment with her partner in the ceremony. She thought she’d never see him again, and then he shows up in her world, and everything gets complicated. As they run in the same social circles at weddings, she feels drawn to him. There’s a connection neither can deny, and he always knows how to make her smile. When real feelings get involved, will she finally get her fairy tale?

Jilted by Vi Keeland is a heartwarming, captivating, slow burn romance about trust, healing and second chances at love. It’s packed with tension, humor, electric chemistry, fabulous banter and all the swoon. I really loved this couple together! I couldn’t get enough of this story and just kept smiling while reading. <333

The book Jilted by Vi Keeland was such a fun romance read! This dual point of views book gave a clear premise at the beginning. I felt it to be cleverly plotted and really enjoyed the female main character! The male main character was so sweet. I have a soft spot in my heart for him. This slow burn romance left me feeling smitten and full of joy! Both of them connected due to past negative situations.

The writing style is clear and easy to read. It wasn’t hard for me to get pulled right into the book. It had humor, spice, strong chemistry between the two characters, a witty banter and romance! It is a fast paced and quick read for anyone that is looking for a great romance book! I highly recommend this book! I give this romance read a 5 out of 5 romantic stars!

Thank you to NetGalley, author Vi Keeland and Tor Publishing Group | Bramble for this digital advanced reader’s copy in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I've read many of Vi Keeland’s books over the last few years. And I have to hand it to “Jilted because this one is my new top favorite by her. Which I’m going to be completely honest I wasn’t expecting in the slightest. But I’m overjoyed at the outcome.

“Jilted follows Sloan and Wilder. Sloan absolutely loves weddings and her job as a writer for Bride Magazine. However, after being left at the alter s’s become cynical towards impending nuptials. Meanwhile, you have Wilder who is a millionaire rugby ex playboy. The two have a meet cute moment at the wedding Sloan is working. Wilder is immediately captivated by Sloan but after having her heartbroken Sloan isn’t convinced. Throughout the story the pair have a series of running into each other and decide to strike up a friendship. Leaving us with the question will Wilder get his way and get a relationship with Sloan? And will Sloan let her walls down and let Wilder in?

Y’all I love Sloan and Wilder so much. Not just as a couple but as individuals as well. Sloan in particular. I relate to her so much. I was never left at the alter but I was engaged and had discovered things about my ex during the planning process. That kinda of heartbreak is debilitating. I 100% understand and can relate to Sloan being hesitant to start again. Being burned and then also being brave to put yourself back out there is a journey. I love that we got to watch that for her and also for Wilder. I love that their relationship was a slow burn. These two needed to go on that journey after everything they endured and I respect Vi Keeland so much for giving them both that time. Because when they did finally come together it was so meaningful and perfect.

I also really loved the side characters in this book. Especially Will & Andrew. They both were amazing supporting characters. And after reading “Jilted I really want them to have their own books because I was equally invested in their stories.

Overall, I cannot recommend this book enough. “Jilted came out of complete left field and left me non-stop smiling. I cant wait to pick up my trophy copy when it releases May 2025. Lastly big thank you to NetGalley & Bramble for providing me an arc to read and review.

DNF 87 pages in. I'm going to quit while I'm ahead here.

The premise of this absolutely had me hooked but the more I read the more red flags I started to notice. There's a lot of casual misogyny in Wilders POV. That combined with a few offhand comments about how Bridal isn't 'real journalism', and that you should always pick up the bill for cops or those in the armed forces... I can guess at the authors political affiliations and I fear they will not mesh well with mine.

Thank you to Piatkus and Netgalley for this e-arc.

This was a fun slow-burn read, I've never read anything by this author so I wasn't sure what to expect but this was a cute read. The fmc had been left at the alter and does not like weddings even though she is a wedding journalist. She meets the mmc when working at the wedding and they are instantly into each other but don't get together. The mmc, a famous rugby player, is known for not being in relationships and sleeping around and decides that he will not sleep around and wait for the fmc to be ready or agree to go on a date with him.

I enjoyed the wedding aspect and the fmc having to work these events where we meet different types of brides. She had instant chemistry with the mmc and I think it worked better with them not getting together instantly and getting to know the mmc despite all the not-great things the media said about him. The mmc despite being a player was so sweet and caring and that's what the fmc needed after her past relationship. There is also an accidental pregnancy towards the end of the book which was okay. There is a Diabetes rep with the fmc and the FMC's dad has Parkinson's. Overall a cute read, thanks to Bramble for the earc!

Jilted was an entertaining and easy listen. It was a pretty typical contemporary romance featuring tropes like: forced proximity, opposites attract, billionaire (or at least very, very rich), etc. It had some cute moments, but I never really felt like we got to truly know Wilder or Sloane. They each have baggage that makes them nervous to start a relationship, but I liked that they didn’t rush into things (even though the instalust was there). Repeatedly being reminded of Wilder’s extensive sexual history wasn’t fun though. Seriously, is there anyone he hasn’t slept with?!? The third act drama felt forced and the big reveal about Wilder’s past felt over the top/overly complicated, but the epilogue was sweet.

The narration by Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow was great. I do wish there was a bit more variation in the voices Aiden Snow uses though. Overall, this was an enjoyable listen, but there wasn’t anything that made it stand out from any other contemporary romance.

CW (possible spoilers): diabetes, death of parent (past), Parkinson’s disease, grief, cheating ex, accidental pregnancy, mentions of secondary/minor characters with: dementia, death related to drug overdose, cancer

3.5 Stars.

This story had the ingredients of a Vi Kreeland novel, and hit the good notes that we expect from her stories.

Sloane meets Wilder at a wedding that she is writing an article for the magazine she works for. The sparks are off the chart and she decides a little flirting won’t hurt. They share a kiss and part ways. She learns that her bridal magazine will want to do a series of articles for a year with the wedding group she met. This also means she will see Wilder. He is attracted to her but she has her walls up because she was engaged to be married and left at the alter so trust is not easy for her. However, she is also attracted to him and the chemistry is off the charts. Their attraction is tested with geography and past experiences and they have to navigate through that to get their happy ending.

*Audiobook

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨✨ (4.5/5)

“I wanted to watch your show but it’s not because I’m sweet, Sloane.

“Sometimes you get lucky and something perfect falls into your lap.

Thanks to Macmillan Audio (Bramble) for my #gifted copy of this audiobook.

I loved both MCs from the jump. The chemistry was on point. The flirtation was on point! Sloane is so relatable and Wilder will make you swoon all day long. Wilder is just cocky as hell and super charming.

The banter between Sloane and Wilder was so much fun. I loved his questions during her show and how she didn’t pull any punches calling him out on it. I even loved his stalkery vibes. I also love how anti-cheater Wilder is.

Loved how he picked her up at the airport. Adorable but not cheesy.

Only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the in & out accent for Wilder. It was a little distracting in the audiobook. When in doubt throw the accent out 😂😂.

Elijah as the bestie is so much fun too.

The “leave room for Jesus during the dances scenes made me laugh.

I also loved Sloane’s wedding rules. All brides and bridesmaid should read it.

Sloane infuriated me from time to time…girl just enjoy the moments. You can still protect your heart and live in the moment.

Okayyyy Vi - I see you 👀

As an already HUGE fan of her thrillers, this is my first romance book from Vi Keeland and she was gooooood.
I would much rather listen to a romcom than read the book, and I thought the narrators (Andi Arndt and Aiden Snow) were absolutely perfect for this. 👌🏻

Sloane is still healing a year after being stood up at the altar. At a wedding, she meets the Wilder and finds out she will be working with him on and off through the season. He has already fallen hard for her, but she makes him promise to wait six months.

The story is packed with humor, tension, and second chances. Vi Keeland has such a way with words that you never want her stories to end. I loved Wilder and his ambition, and Sloane is the type of female you just want to root for! If you loved the movie 27 Dresses, you’ll devour this book 💛

4.5⭐️

If Vi Keeland writes it, I most likely love it. This one was so good and now added to one of my fav reads of this year. I'm such a big fan of the duo-POV, and I just loved getting to know these two characters, Sloane and Wilder, and see them fall in love.

- Top-notch banter
- Slow-burn/yearning
- our MMC is an acts of service man
- suuuuuuper spicy!!

Jilted by Vi Keelandis the feel-good romance you didn’t know you needed—a heart-hug of a story wrapped in sizzling chemistry and laugh-out-loud banter. Sloane and Wilder’s connection? Off the charts and so much fun. This sweet and sexy love story is pure swoon material even for a self-proclaimed non-swooner like me. But let’s be honest: Vi’s book boyfriends are in a league of their own. Her signature banter absolutely shines in this dual POV gem, bringing every moment to life with charm, sass, and depth. One thing is for sure—you won’t feel jilted after reading this one. Total chef’s kiss!

I ateeeee this book up! I really would have finished it so much faster if I didn’t have to be an adult and go to work. This book really was the slowest of buuuurns. There would be times where I was like, “Alright, this is it! Finally! Then he would give her a little kiss goodbye and my lizard brain would cry. This book really had it all though, it had the hilarious banter, dual POV, the slow burn, and the spice🤌🏻

Sloan really did steal my heart, like she just wanted her dream guy and dream wedding like all of us want and then man slut Wilder shows up and just plows through everything she thought she needed in her life. I also love when both sides have a story to tell and not only did they both come from broken relationships but they learned that they both could find love again within one another.

Wilder also broke my heart when you find out why he has been the way he has been for a long time. When I read that chapter my heart really did shatter for him. I was so happy they both got their happy ending. You know a book is good when you want to keep reading for another 30 chapters when it finally comes to an end. I would also die if there was a book for Olivia and Lucas for them in the future or even a YA? I definitely would read that!

🌶️🌶️/5

I had high hopes for this in the beginning, but it quickly veered off course. Wilder’s POV chapters were horrible - casual misogyny in MY romance in 2025? No thank you! Women deserve better! And especially not the anti-commitment / “man-whore guy trope who suddenly changes because of the FMC.

And of course the college pregnancy alluding to Lucas being Wilder’s son (surprise: ’s not and you literally do not find this out until the very end) juxtaposed with Sloane’s accidental pregnancy - yuck.

Thanks NetGalley and Tor Publishing Group for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I recently read Vi Keeland's upcoming thriller and really enjoyed it, so was expecting to be blown away by her new romance. This one fell flat for me and made me feel like the two books I read were by entirely different authors. The thriller was sexy and mysterious and had an intriguing plot and this one was......not so much. This was almost written like a YA/new adult (nothing wrong with that at all). The characters were in their mid-20s, but maybe they just felt super young/immature to me because they are a full decade younger than myself?

Sloane is obsessed with weddings and has her dream job as a wedding reporter for a Bridal magazine. While covering a rich boy's wedding, she is forced in to a role of bridesmaid and meets Wilder (a groomsman). The two are instantly attracted to each other, but Sloane is on a proclaimed "man moratorium" after being left at the alter 6 months ago. Wilder takes a vow to wait for her and continues to woo her and her family. I'm not really sure what the attraction was between the two except for both of them being "hot" with nice bodies, so to me their relationship appeared very surface level. I had a hard time believing Wilder was going to change his playboy, womanizer ways for Sloane, who really wasn't that interesting (IMO).

The story also flashes back several time's to Wilder's relationship in college. I almost wish this would have been done earlier in the book so we had an idea of why he chose to be the way he was. It giving us the idea that maybe Lucas (brother) is his son and the flashbacks coinciding with Sloane's surprise pregnancy at the end really didn't do Wilder's past storyline any justice at all.

Also, there were no less than 75x in the book when Sloane tells Wilder "you're so sweet", or "that was sweet". Do we know any other adjectives, Sloane?

4.5 ⭐️ I absolutely devoured this. I was hooked from the first chapter.

Sloane works for a bridal magazine writing articles about weddings but she herself was recently left at the altar at her own wedding. She is sent in to cover a wedding at the request of her boss where she ends up covering for a bridesmaid and meets Wilder our MMC with the stunning blue/green eyes. A dance, cupcake and one make out session in a coat closet later our characters part ways. The magazine Sloane works for has decided to make a series following this group of friends and Wilder just so happens be a groomsmen in all of these weddings. Oh, did I mention ’s also her boss’s son.

I loved that the characters felt like realistic characters, they both had flaws and that’s what really made the story for me. I also loved the relationships the main characters had with side characters, like Sloane’s brothers and dad.

I highly recommend! I will definitely be reading more from this author!

I know once I see Vi Keelands name on a book - I’m getting an amazing story with characters I’ll just love instantly!!

A jilted bride having to cover others weddings? . For an entire year. Does not sound like a great time to me.
It’s not exactly what Sloane wanted to commit to either, but had no choice.

But when she meets Wilder at the first wedding. She might just change her mind if he’ll be at them. And let’s just say, the instant attraction is fire!

Wilder is sexy, charismatic, arrogant and fun all wrapped into one spicy package!

Elijah said it best. They had some crazy chemistry zinging between them.

I really connected with the main characters in this story. They felt so real, and I was drawn into their journey from the start. Their growth and struggles felt relatable, and I couldn’t help but root for them as they navigated their complex emotions.

There’s something so powerful about the way the story shifts from heartbreak to hope. The idea that when one door closes, another opens really resonated with me. It reminded me that even when life seems to fall apart, new opportunities can arise unexpectedly.

The moments where someone leaves you at the altar hit hard, but what really got me was how a different person could come into your life and completely change the way you see things. It made me think about how love, in all its messy complexity, has the power to heal and shift our perspective.

The situations were definitely complicated, but they were handled with so much care. Watching the characters grow and change felt incredibly tender and real. I couldn’t help but get swept up in their emotions and transformations. The story felt honest, and it stayed with me long after I finished reading.

I loved this book so much!!

Sloane and Wilder had so much sizzling chemistry and absolutely hilarious banter. I’m always a sucker for the pining and the slow burn was to die for.
The dual POV of Sloane and Wilder was so fun to see things develop from both sides and I loved their internal dialogues. Also, I’m a sucker for him calling her Cupcake??
I loved that the side characters not being one dimensional and having a bit of perspective and personality to them, especially Sloane’s dad Harry and Wilders friend Andrew.
I was so hooked and couldn’t put it down and finished it in two days.

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Vi Keeland for the digital ARC of Jilted!

This one made me cry! Multiple times!!

Thank you Bramble Romance for an advance copy of this book, all opinions are my own.

The premise of this one drew me in, and I loved the idea of someone being left at the alter and then still work future weddings because that is their job. I mean, devastating! And the idea of kissing a groomsmen, but then continually running into him after really pulled me in too, and I had no idea how the author would make it work. Then all the weddings after the first were turned into a series of wedding featuring a fraternity....it just works!

And man, did I love Wilder. I loved Sloane too, and they both just work so well together. There is just something about a man that shows up, and continually shows up, and finds ways to show he cares without always stating it out loud. This man was out here doing the most for Sloane, even if she was keeping him at arms length. He definitely fell first, and it was easy to root for him from the beginning.

The characters both had some good development. Sloane was more real time, between recovering from being cheated on and left at the alter to declining health in her father and her own health issues - she had a lot going on. Wilder's development is semi real time too, but we also see flashbacks from 10 years ago that really go into depth on why he is cautious and reserved in regards to getting close to people. But, real time, he is actively trying his hardest to show how much he cares and quickly changes his lifestyle to show Sloane he deserves a chance.

They have great banter from the start, and it only grows as the story goes on. There are two spicy scenes in the back half of the book, otherwise the rest of story alludes to it or sprinkles in some dirty talk. It doesn't really pull away from the main romance, which I am grateful for! I love seeing their relationship develop.

The characters feel real too, and have real world problems that make this story more believable. Sloane is a diabetic, which is mentioned multiple times and plays a role in the story (like Wilder switching to sugar free desserts after he finds out). Her father has declining health issues, but she still works to give him as much autonomy, and Wilder treats him like any normal person. Both characters have dead mothers, from terminal illnesses, and they have both been cheated on by past partners. There is a lot going against these characters in their pasts, but it helped them bond and get closer to each other (in a way).

Overall, I was very easily pulled into this story and I loved it from start to finish. The third act breakup did not even bother me, because I knew they would be endgame. I cried multiple times while reading this, but I also found myself smiling and waiting for the next Wilder antics to pop up. This one is well worth the read, and I am glad to have had a chance to review it!

**I received this copy from ŷ in a giveaway**
While many of my complaints about the romance genre is that it follows the tropes and leaves little to be wanted, I found that I greatly enjoyed Jilted. Despite knowing what was going to happen, it was written to well and Wilder and Sloane were so adorable I couldn’t put it down. Yes, on all the corny lines I mentally groaned but it still sparked joy in my heart to read it, it was so organic to the characters.
Speaking of characters, it’s exciting to see their development. To watch as others process their griefs, and grow is magical but add in the shared growth and a budding a romance, this is a chef’s kiss! The book does a great job of showing that the past doesn’t define what our future happiness has to be and that events that help shape us do not define us.

I appreciate the inclusiveness of Sloane and her condition, it is mentioned but never brought up in a way that feels forced or added on for the sake of trying to fit it in. While I do not have diabetes, a few of my friends do and I believe that inclusiveness helps acceptance and understanding. It was very organic in it’s inclusion and added to the story beautifully, making the world more alive.

A wonderful summer read for those that are inspired by weddings and enjoy characters who grow through the story.

Sloane Carrick used to love, love being a writer for bride magazine but after a breakup that job wasn’t as easy. When her latest job is to cover a wedding with a not so nice bride that needs a replacement bridesmaid stat, she is chosen as the one! She will be paired with smooth talking & stunning groomsman Wilder Hayes who also happens to be not just a random groomsman. You’ll have to read to find out though. Now, he is trying everything to pursue her but she doesn’t trust love anymore. Can this playboy change her mind? This is a fun, slow burn romance with silly moments and some heartfelt ones too. There are a few chapters from Wilder’s past to paint a picture of the man he is today. Grab your bridal flowers, a cupcake and get ready to have a little wedding fun with a twist. Told in first person and dual POV.

My first book by this author and it absolutely won’t be my last.

The description made it seem like this would be a lighter, funny, wedding hijinks and hookups tale, but it’s a great, layered love story about two people who have been hurt in different ways taking the time to know and trust one another, address their pasts, so they can do right by what their guts tell them could possibly be something special between them.

With crackling chemistry, kindnesses, humor, respect and perfect pacing, this is a love story you don’t want to miss.

Thank you to NetGalley and Tor Publishing/Bramble for an e-ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I loved the premise of this story. I laughed, I cried, I swooned. Sloane has been obsessed with weddings since childhood and now covers weddings for a bridal magazine. Even though she is now a jilted bride herself and has sworn off men, she meets Wilder, a former rugby player and her boss' son at one of the weddings she's covering where they are paired up in the bridal party as she is forced to cover for a missing bridesmaid and sparks fly. The also share an unforgettable kiss in a coat closet.

Wilder is wild about her and gets his dad to assign Sloan a dozen of his fraternity brothers weddings to cover for the magazine so he can spend more time with her. This is a slow burn but spicy love story that spans a continent-literally he flies back and forth from London to be with her. I love these characters so much. I didn't want this book to end. I wanted more. Hopefully, we will get another book in this world in the future.

I have read several books by Vi Keeland and I lover her writing style. Can't wait for the next book!

This book had me hooked very the very first chapter! This book was funny, swoony, and heartfelt. I loved that Sloane has loved weddings since she was little and works for a bridal magazine. During one of her covers for a wedding she meets a groomsman Wilder who she spends the evening sparring with. They both go on a journey of learning to love again after both being jilted. A Slow Burn Enemies turned friends turned lovers that will have you flying through!

Thank you Macmillan audio for the gifted audiobook.
