I have always been a fan of this series, but I really believe this is the best one yet! Rarity is such an interesting MC, I love how she continues to grow and put her own stamp on her life, how she wants it to grow, who she wants to include and how she improves her business and involvement in the community. This book focuses a lot on the past, involving many of our favorite people, including Archer and his family, Shirley and George, as well as Rarity's neighbor Terrance and even Rarity's own past. We have a cold murder case, one that Drew's father, Jonathan, was the lead officer on, we have a murder at the Senior Living Center where Shirley's husband George is living and Terrance is working on a security problem, and someone is leaving valuable old books at The Last Chapter for Rarity to find. Can the survivors book club start finding some answers to all these crazy mysteries popping up? Will everyone be able to deal with the answers and reconcile the past and present? This one will have you turning pages as fast as you can. Strongly recommend! Many thanks to #Netgally, #LyricalPress, and the author for the opportunity to catch up with some of my favorite characters! #DyingtoRead #SurvivorsBookClubMysteries #LynnCahoon #bookreview #bookideas #retiredreader

#DyingtoReaed #NetGalley is the newest addition to this series by Lynn Cahoon.
Rarity and her sleuthing friends really need to do their research if they want to help solve the happenings in their town.
Things begin to get strange when Rarity finds a copy of Alice In Wonderland in the bathroom of her bookstore. Why would someone leave it behind and did the person know it was a rare item?
Then when Rarity's friend tells her that her husband is a murder suspect, even though he has dementia, Rarity thinks she's gone down the rabbit hole.
To make things worse, her boyfriend Archer is acting differently, almost avoiding her, which makes her concerned.
Rarity is determined to find the answers and to get her life back on track.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for selecting me to read an advanced copy of this book.

Dying to Read is the 5th awesome book in Lynn Cahoon's Survivor's Book Club Mystery series. I have read them all and they continue to be engaging, interesting and enjoyable. The characters are very likable and the cozy mystery kept me guessing. Rarity Cole owns a bookstore in Sedona, AZ. She is dating Archer Ender who has a company that organizes hikes and outdoor activities. Rarity is a cancer survivor and she moved to Sedona for a new start. Now she has friends and her little yorkie, Killer. Her friend and employee Shirley is having a tough time because her husband George is in Assisted Living in the memory care unit. An unpopular person at the facility ends up dead and George and a.friend of theirs are suspects. Another mystery for Rarity and her sleuthing book club are some rare books that show up at the.bookstore. On top of that, Archer is supposed to be moving in with her but now he doesn't want.to. This all has Rarity upset and concerned. She is a strong character and her sleuthing book club adds a lot to the story along with her friend Drew who is the local Police Detective and Archer. This is a fantastic cozy mystery and you don't want to miss it! #DyingToRead #SurvivorsBookClubMystery #Kensington #LynnCahoon

This is one of my favorite series by Cahoon. I really enjoy the characters and being part of their lives as I read each book in the series. The main character, Rarity really stands out as she continues to grow with each addition to the series. She makes an impact on her friends, book club members, customers and the community with all of her actions. This book has a few mysteries flowing through the story. Why is Archer being so mysterious and telling Rarity that now he doesn’t want to move in with her, why is George acting up at the Nursing Home especially with the new Night Manager, who is leaving valuable first editions at the Last Chapter Book Store for Rarity to find, and trying to help Jonathan solve his cold case murder. Can the Rarity and Survivor’s Book Club help find answers to all of these mysteries. A great cozy mystery that I highly recommend.
