The mysterious stranger I spent an unforgettable night with is the billionaire who ruined my life and now I have to live with him.
He's all green eyes, mussed hair and a dirty mouth. He’s good at strip poker, and even better at what comes after.
Two weeks later, I walk into a meeting in LA with the subject of my next memoir... and it’s him.
Aiden Hartman. My hot one-night-stand, and the billionaire owner of Titan Media, the company that ruined my life and made me change my name.
Now I need to spend two months at his side or risk losing my next contract. Living in his Bel-Air mansion, shadowing him daily, and writing his memoir.
Aiden invites me into his world of wealth. He brings me as his date to movie premieres and buys me expensive dresses. But he won’t tell me everything I need for the book.
We argue in his office, and I taunt him in bikinis by his pool. It’s a dangerous game we’re playing, especially when Aiden offers me a deal too good to refuse.
Hi there! I'm Olivia. I write romance with billionaire heroes (despite never having met one in person). They're strong, ambitious, they don't need love... until they meet the women who change their minds.
I love witty banter, smart heroines, big cities and perfectly tailored suits. You'll find all four in every one of my books! 💜

Okay, so I stayed up ALL NIGHT reading this and I have zero regrets! Let me tell you why...
This is a story that'll make your heart happy! It's about Charlotte, who gets hired to write a memoir about the super successful (and super hot) Aiden. But here's the twist - they already had the most amazing first encounter before all this started!
The best thing? The way they try to handle working together after their steamy first meeting. Like, imagine having an incredible night with someone and then having to interview them about their life story the next day. AWKWARD. But also... kind of perfect?
Can we talk about character growth? Because WOW. Watching Aiden slowly open up about his past and his relationship with his dad hit me right in the feels. And Charlotte? She's not just there to write his story - she actually helps him heal.
If you love romance with actual depth, this book is for you.
Well, I suppose it was okay-ish. I found it a bit lengthy for my liking, and there were moments when the pace felt a bit off. Also I just didn't feel that intense chemistry between Aiden (32) and Charlotte (29), it just wasn't that palpable at all. 🫣
Although, they spent a lot of time together since she was shadowing him, their convos were pretty much surface-level at times. I can probably count on two hands how many times they actually had a deep and meaningful talks. And this probably says a lot because this is a freaking slowburn. I mean, if they're not doing anything might as well get to know each other a bit, right? Yet some of these getting to know moments were told rather than shown. 😮
Every interaction was driven by hormones, and even though they didn’t act on it, it was the main thing on their minds whenever they were in the same room. I felt like, for a slowburn story, their relationship didn't really come together in a way that felt natural or believable. There just wasn't that emotional connection, and it felt like everything they did was mostly based on physical attraction. 🫠
Also, I'm not really into the whole celebrity/reality TV thing in books, and Charlotte blew up as a reality show star a decade ago, but not in a great way.
The final 20% seemed to focus on her rough experience and her efforts to get over it, but honestly, that part wasn't really explored on the page. And the last 5% was just a bunch of time jumps. I feel like I missed out on really knowing how she actually moved on from what happened to her, and how this issue was handled by the people in the higher positions, both past and present. I just don't get why her viral moment was such a big deal in the story, only for it to be glossed over at the end. 🤷♀
Anyway, it wasn't a bad story, but this could've been a few pages shorter, tbh.
Book info: - ONS then slowburn - Forced proximity - Strangers to lovers - No cheating, OW - OMD (not really, but guys flirt with the h) - Separation (days??) - No V (both are experienced 🤭) - HEA (2 yrs later, married)

Aunque extremadamente largo y totalmente innecesario.
Olivia hayle has spun her magic and created yet another beautiful couple with their blisteringly hot romance!
Aiden and Charlotte have all you’d expect from Olivia, but then with a sprinkle of her fairy magic, their angst and spice are so unique and perfect for their relationship development and how they flourish as individuals.

Starting this book, I knew I would love it because I adore Olivia's writing style. But I didn't expect to be so impressed by the unbridled feelings, the vivid emotions, the way the characters in the book learned to fight for themselves, their happiness, their opinions, how they changed not only their lives but also, I think, the lives of other people for the better.
One night, one mistake made by the hotel administration threw hope for happiness into Aiden and Charlotte's lives. This spark between them burned from the first meeting and it turned out to be what these two needed.
Aiden's story is really hard, the burden of his father's mistakes that Aiden took on is beyond words, it can break a man. But this man turned out to be courageous, strong, incredibly smart and resilient. The same goes for his feelings for Charlotte. He was not only crazy about her, her presence, her incredibility, but also supported her every step of the way. This support is something incredible. He gave her his attention, warmed her soul, and wanted to take away her pain with all his heart. Yes, the man is a bit bossy, but damn it, that's what makes him beautiful. He took my heart with his sincerity and love for his loved ones.
Charlotte was a victim of the media who managed to get out and survive, but scarred and intimidated. In fact, her story made me think about all those people who have been humiliated for life on TV screens just for the laughs of others. It's so horrible, it's so bitter, you want to cry because of it. But with the support of faithful people, she was able to let go of her pain and channel it into a good cause. Along with this pain, she was afraid of getting burned in her relationships with men. The way Charlotte tried her best to emotionally wall herself off from Aiden looked like self-destruction and self-protection at the same time. But this man was able to melt her ice - he put his heart in front of her and let her decide what to do with it. God, how sensual it was.
Charlotte and Aidan were both victims of a harsh media and society, but both were able to come out of it as winners. Their feelings, their sincerity and devotion united their souls, warmed them, gave them a real home, happiness, enjoyment of life and each other. They fascinated me, made my blood pressure rise, brought me to tears several times, but gave me an incredible boost of energy, peace and love. I sincerely thank the author for this sensual story.
I was extremely lucky and honoured to beta read this last month and reading the finalised version of Aiden + Charlotte’s story made me fall in love with them all over again. This may be my favourite book Olivia has written to date. It was unique and refreshing in the best way. She manages to balance the beautifully soft romance, sizzling chemistry, witty humour, emotional depth and character growth to put together an incredibly heartwarming story that pulls at your heart strings.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁: billionaire CEO, one night stand, forced proximity, secret identity, boy obsessed, LA setting.
I am a sucker for a good meet cute and this one is a favourite! All I’m going to say is a hotel room mix up self care with shower head a game of strip poker
I was immediately intrigued by these characters and absolutely loved their instant easy banter, the chemistry and comfort they had with one another. Olivia writes some of the most swoon worthy men I’ve ever read and she has truely outdone herself with Aiden. If you love a man who is down bad, buckle up because Aiden may one of the swooniest mmc’s I’ve read, ever. He is a broody billionaire businessman who’s mad at the world and everyone in it but absolutely melts for our girl Charlotte. For her, he’s not the important CEO, he’s 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘈𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯 and I loved that so much.
Charlotte is strong and independent and I admired her so much. She wasn’t intimidated by Aiden, going toe to toe with him and calling him on his bullshit. I loved how her past and story was revealed in this, you could feel her emotions and vulnerability through the pages and I even shed a few tears for her.
Aiden saw her, like 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 𝙨𝙖𝙬 her but didn’t rush her into revealing anything she wasn’t ready to. He was so patient and understanding, giving her the time and trust to open up when she was ready. He did everything at her pace, while building her up and showing her just how strong she was. And while he saw her, she was seeing him right back. The chemistry between these two was on another level but had a level of pure affection. They were inevitable and I loved every part of their journey to their HEA together.
One of my favourite things in a romance is the love confession, and Aiden’s is a standout for me. The way he laid himself bare for Charlotte, letting her lead and willing to do whatever it took to just be by her side was everything.
Thank you Olivia Hayle for the honour of beta + arc reading this. I love being part of your team 🫶

Between the Lines by Olivia Hayle is a page-turner filled with passion, secrets, and a delicious dose of drama! 😍 When our heroine finds out her one-night stand is actually Aiden Hartman—the billionaire who once turned her life upside down—she’s in for the surprise of a lifetime. Now, she’s living in his glamorous Bel-Air mansion, writing his memoir, and discovering their chemistry is stronger than ever! 💥 Their fiery banter, movie premieres, and steamy late-night conversations make this book so much fun. And Aiden’s deal? He’ll share his secrets if she shares hers oh, the suspense! 😉 If you’re looking for a romance with humor, heat, and second chances, this one’s a must-read! ❤️📖
This a story about the (long) journey to self acceptance. I first enjoyed the author with her light easy office/billionaire romance. But she has now blossomed and her books are becoming more deep and personal. I loved Aiden & Charlotte story from the beginning and who wouldn’t with those first chapters 😅 🌶️🌶️ They both have their own story and demons to fight but they meet in the middle You have to accept your past and the mistakes you made or even, sometimes, somebody’s else mistakes because they became who you are. I am not really into reality TV but I can understand the damage it can cause. I had a lovely time with Aiden & Charlotte.
This is a safe story with no cheating/no OW drama He falls first A tiny break up of 2 days
“Celibacy it is, I say and extend my hand.
Aiden looks at it for a long moment before shaking his head.
“Thats the last thing I would want to shake hands with you on, Chaos. But he fits his large hand to mine, and a rush of heat races through me at the contact. “To not dating anyone else.
“That’s not what I said, I say.
But our hands bob, intertwined.
His lips curve. “Isn’t it?
*
“Tell me you don’t want me. That I’m alone in feeling like this.
*
“That’s selfish, all of that. But you asked me, so there it is, Charlotte. I am a selfish man. I’ve been given a lot in life, and here I am, asking for more. Asking for you. Because god help me, I’d give up everything else if it means you’ll be mine.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you BookSirens and Olivia Hayle for letting me read and review! :) <3
I had an absolute blast with this book. A cute romance - though layered with drama, much like an onion. Aiden and Charlotte were phenomenal characters to read. I cannot express how nice it was to read characters with no glaring red flags that were being outrageously toxic throughout the novel. I will say that I think beyond the one night stand and maybe one or two others towards the end this book could have done well without the amount of times they had sex. Basically trying to say badly that it could have been less smut genre more fluff - it got a bit distracting. The literal only other thing I was slightly sad about was the fact there were scenes - like telling her parents about their relationship - that were done off the page. The reality show aspect to the show with her past was great tension in the book. I cannot sing the praises of this enough. Especially the ethos the characters are talking about - I HAVE BEEN ON THAT TRAIN FOR SO LONG. I’m so glad the treatment of reality stars and their lack of support was a theme. If anything I wish it was longer to make more room for that, the relationship without so much sex, and following the outcomes of everything her and Aiden do to overcome and better the problems thrown in her path in the past.
‘Between the Lines is the passionate and inspiring telling of Charlotte and Aiden. The two first meet in Utah under peculiar circumstances—specifically, Aiden catching Charlotte pleasuring herself in his hotel room. Once shame has wavered for Charlotte, the two play a game of poker that leads to clothes on the floor, bedsheets rustled, and the promise for a future date on a signed pad with Charlotte’s number. Unfortunately, Aiden never calls, leaving Charlotte to reminiscence on the one night where she experienced the best pleasure.
Two weeks later in LA, Charlotte and Aiden meet again however, under professional conditions. Ghost writer, Charlotte Gray, is to write the memoir for Titan Media CEO, Aiden Hartman, in order to mitigate the bad media from his father’s tax fraud criminal sentence. ‘Between The Lines is a honest novel, that exhibits individual character development from traumatic pasts, whilst allowing readers to journey in a love story of two people who desperately crave one another.
Charlotte and Aiden meet in unprecedented circumstances, which aids in their playful night of passion and intimacy. The two’s initial meeting is nothing short of playful and entertaining for the reader, providing plenty of personality in Aiden’s dominant presence and Charlotte’s confidence in her sexuality. As the novel progresses, and the two find themselves in close-proximity, the sexual tension is imminent. The author is skillful in maintaining entertainment and longing at least in their love story, that has readers kicking their feet, awaiting for the next milestone in their relationship. Aiden’s sharp tongue and Charlotte’s indisputable attraction for the CEO, provide significant clarity to a relationship that is guarded by a professional relationship and history. I absolutely adored how the romance was articulated in this novel, and the integrity that was maintained from start to finish.
As Charlotte maintains close ties in the world of Aiden, herself and the reader come to understand the demands of being a CEO after a notorious fraud scheme. Aiden shows great resilience by masking his tiresome feelings of leading one of the largest media companies in the world. Correspondingly, Charlotte’s strength to make a story for a company who had a hand in her social media demise in the past is highly regarded by the audience. Whilst the characters do not necessarily go through a significant turnover within the novel, readers have to admire their individual experiences in overcoming hardship and their ability to adapt to the world that had threatened them before.
Olivia Hayle deliberately uses the characters as an actor to invite the audience to understand Charlotte and Aiden more. Instead of the typical internal monologue that bears all to the reader—which is still a part of this book—the author utilises questioning in the early stages of the relationship to allow conversation on their personalities and childhood. It also helps that the premise of the plot is about a writer, hence, the intentionality behind understanding Aiden more is evident.
Unfortunately, whilst there were many great components of this novel, its length mitigated the rating a lot. Prior to Charlotte and Aiden’s second-time intimacy, there was a lull in the plot—where no plot development seemed to occur and the entertainment was purely driven on the sexual tension between the two. It was quite boring in the 20-40% mark, and I truly believe a lot of it could have been cut down.
As the ending nears, the traits once loved in Aiden—his ability to control and possess the attention of the world—comes to the detriment of their relationship. Both parties are required to push their “ego aside in a circumstance where the reaction is out of their control. ‘Between The Lines is excellently executed novel. It is very clear that the author was intentional in how she created characters and the scenes she implemented to avail their uniqueness. The intimacy and passion between Aiden and Charlotte was one of the greatest successes in the novel, and luckily the reader is provided plenty of their moments. I thoroughly enjoyed my journey in this novel, and whilst it did take time, it was worth it in the end.
Discovered this little treasure on Kindle Unlimited.
I was sucked in immediately and may have forgotten about the other book I was supposed to be reading!
It has banter, a loveable nickname and two characters with some previous trauma who work through their issues. It has a great mix of spice and plot along with a swoon worthy MMC.
I have had the honor of receiving the advanced copy. This book is a standalone, just like How to Honeymoon Alone. This is my second ARC with this author, and I am never disappointed. After reading 11 books, and this being my 12th, Ms Hayle is still able to make my feelings blossom and make me fall in love with a new story again and again and again. This book deserves 5 stars, and it was the perfect book for autumn. A gift after being in a book slump after One Wrong Move. After this one, Ms Hayle has become one of my comfort authors who delivers every time. Tropes: one-night stand, running from the past, BANTER, kind of enemies to lovers, tension, secret identity, pining, work place romance, forced proximity, kind of redemption and so much more
Now spoilers!!!
After an unexpected one-night stand, Charlotte never hears again from the mysterious Aiden until they see each other again when she has to work for him, making a book about his life and his family. During their time together, they start to get closer, and secrets and truths start to be exchanged in order to get the book written, but Charlotte has a big secret she doesn't want Aiden to know. Their feelings and the fear of being exposed to public opinion would make them confront their realities. Main characters: Charlotte and Aiden are two sides of the same coin, both are closed off, workaholics, anti-commitment and scared ¡of letting others get closed. But in the mirror they see in one another, they start to trust for the first time in a long time. I love Aiden, however Charlotte was the highlight of the book, seeing her making mistakes, having trouble letting go, being afraid. It makes her a real person in your mind, so raw and brutal, as mistakes can feel in your on life. Love that she was imperfect, but that the books shows learning and growing is a process that TAKES TIME AND EFFORT.
In conclusion, this is probably the most complex book by the author. Charlotte and Aiden are so well-thought-out. Really beautiful story where the feeling really builds up in an amazing crescendo full of vulnerable moments and charming moments. It made me cry a few times, and it felt like I was intruding on a real relationship at times because it felt so human. It was really a remarkable experience.
Can i just say how thankful i am that i received an arc of this amazing book? It’s my first ever arc and i couldn’t be more grateful that it was one by Olivia! This book is about the life and bond between a ghostwriter writing a memoir and her subject for the memoir, but with loads of chemistry in the middle.
Aiden is a billionaire who needs a memoir written for him because of his past in his company and Charlotte is the ghostwriter who he had an unforgettable one night stand just two weeks before he signed the contract.
What i love in romances is to see how they evolve from barely nothing to being the love of each others lives and can i just say that their story had me hooked from the first ever chapter! It truly is a blessing to experience so many love stories and this is for sure one of my favorites with all the banter, communication and the most important one the companion!
Because of his past aiden is a hard shell so when he was forced to speak up about everything in his life to charlotte he was not happy about it. You can see him slowly opening up himself to Charlotte in a way they both have to confess things they don’t want to. Charlotte had a complicated relationship before, that ruined her completely and it’s always hard for her to really trust people especially if she has feelings for them!
Charlotte, or even better chaos as Aiden calls her, and Aiden have besides the amazing chemistry that leads to amazing smut scenes., have the most true and raw feelings for each other! I loved how they could somehow relate and be there for each other even on their lowest!
Aiden for sure is my new book boyfriend, like can you imagine having a boyfriends who’s love language is gift giving and then him being obsessed with you since day one 😍 oh i wish i could have one!
Thank you Olivia and her team for sending me the arc but mostly for creating this universe that i wish i could live in!
“I can’t help myself, Chaos. I never can around you.
I love stories about broken people who find themselves in each other. Even more than that, I love the way Olivia Hayle writes a beautiful story. If anyone can start a book out with a one night stand, and yet still deliver on a slow burn romance with a deep connection, it’s her.
I was hooked from the first chapter - I mean, with that kind of opening, who wouldn’t be? Charlotte and Aiden have both endured hardships in their past that have left them wholly focused on their careers and emotionally shut off from others. Finding themselves forced into a situation where they can’t avoid each other for the next two months, can they put their differences aside in order to accomplish both of their own goals? Or is this just a recipe for disaster?
It was such a treat watching Aiden patiently break down Charlotte’s walls throughout their time together. We love a “who hurt you guy who would do anything for the woman they love. If that’s your jam - you’ll absolutely love Aiden. Charlotte has a hard time trusting others, and rightfully so considering her past - so she’s a bit skittish and still has a lot of trauma to work through. Seeing them both overcome their pasts in order to find a fulfilling future together was everything I love about romance books.
Another wonderful novel from Olivia Hayle, and I’m so incredibly grateful for the opportunity to read an ARC copy of this book ❤️ 4.5 ⭐️
OH MY GOD when I saw the cover I wanted to scream with delight. A tall, broad-shouldered man!!! I wanted to read this book right away.
This book was a comfort and calm for me, as I read it during a difficult time. It gave me a lot of happy emotions, distracting me from reality.
I was obsessed with the interactions between Aiden and Charlotte. OH MY GOD THEIR FIRST MEETING!!!! It was hot, it was sexy, it was sensual. There was such a strong chemistry between them, with each passing minute the tension between them grew stronger and stronger.
Imagine their surprise when it turns out that Charlotte is hired to write a memoir about Aiden. After that hot night, she needs to behave professionally and not cross the line. But it will not be easy, as Charlotte needs to spend time with him to get to know him, his work and his father better. It was funny to read how Charlotte was trying to get answers out of Aiden and he was trying to avoid it in every way possible. But his walls come down and he opens up to her. I LOVE THIS.
I am so grateful to Olivia Hayle for the ARC. It means so much to me. I love her books and am so happy to be a part of her team.
Olivia Hayle has been an auto buy author for me for for years so I was beyond excited to receive an ARC for her newest release! And it did NOT disappoint! I love this story!
Olivia Hayle delivers another captivating romance, full of deep emotion, strong character growth, and undeniable chemistry. Aiden and Charlotte’s story begins with a chance encounter that sparks a passionate yet tender relationship. Their witty banter and natural connection are delightful, but what truly shines is how they help each other heal and grow.
Aiden, the brooding billionaire, softens around Charlotte, becoming vulnerable and real. She’s a strong, independent heroine who calls him out and faces her own emotional baggage, especially from her "15 minutes of fame." Their chemistry is electric but grounded in affection and respect, with a perfect balance of angst and spice.
Touching on real-life issues like social media pressure, this book is a standout in Olivia’s collection. If you love billionaire romances with depth, charm, and a healthy dynamic, this is a must-read.
I'm one lucky bookaholic to have received an arc of @oliviahayle new book.
This was just so damn good, a chance encounter, one hot steamy night, I loved how he caught her in that hotel room🤣.
She is a ghost writer who is hired to write a memoir for this billionaire, her one night stand.
They have a history he isn't aware of, and it made for a brilliant story, I love @oliviahayle writing, the flow before you know it you finished and looking for hidden extra chapter's.
Charlotte is an awesome FMC she is so fiery and independent and so damn real that you immediately resonate with her. Now Aiden damn he is hot, charming, sexy and just want more of him. I absolutely love that he calls her chaos. He is so protective and delicious.
I read this as an ARC, and it really started with a promising premise, but it quickly lost momentum for me. The love interest’s nickname for the main character felt forced and far from charming, and his "big boss" persona just didn’t fit—he clearly doesn’t even like acting that way and is simply so much more than just the "rich af guy" but the story here really didn't show us that side of him at all. It felt like the story kept adding elements without really grounding them, like the sudden appearance of her friend Esme halfway through(or maybe she was mentioned earlier, i honestly didn't catch it) and then her not being important to the story whatsoever. If it wasn’t for the ARC commitment, this probably would’ve been a DNF around 10%
Guys holy shit! This book was kinda everything I needed (and everything I’ve become super picky about, apparently). I haven’t really gravitated towards many billionaire romances in the past, but wow this had a perfect amount of depth and hotness. You can tell the author has really thought through character background and motivation, and built them solidly into the plot. A lot of romance authors writing is getting on my nerves lately, I need a certain level of tone and linguistic quality/talent, but I seriously appreciated and really enjoyed Olivia’s writing style and tone!! Its concise and clean, and keeps the story moving in a strong and seamless way. For this alone I will be picking up more of her books for sure.
The way tough experiences and emotions are handled in this book hit deeply, and in a way I really appreciated. The comforting and understanding/empathy that was shared between the two mc’s was really well done and emotional to read. The book’s acknowledgments explain this better than I can, though!
Imo it needed some editing in terms of length maybe ? Some phrases and ideas/themes became a little repetitive. Sex scenes were a few too many, but written well. But!! I enjoyed the plot and romance story so much that it felt more slow burn than just ~too long~ by the end. I feel like there was enough content in this book for a mini Netflix series lol (which I now think I need immediately, pls Olivia).
Overall, Between the Lines turned into quite a special and impactful reading experience! Feels right that it’s the first of 2025 woohooooooo - pls pick this one up!
Ugh, this was so fucking good, I want to cry. A masterpiece of literature from Olivia!!
Olivia knows how to write a swoony obsessed billionaire and Aiden was a man obsessed 🤭🥵
Aiden and Charlotte were so much fun, from the moment they first met, following a double-booking mix-up on their hotel room. They decide to bet for it, of course, because they're both competitive and love to win! Sparks fly and a game strip tease blackjack, leads to an unforgettable one-night stand.
The chances of seeing each other again are slim, until Charlotte shows up as the writer, who is penning his memoir, to save the image of Titan Media.
Aiden was a tough nut to crack, but Charlotte was determined to unearth the broody billionaire that has been saving his family's name and business from near ruin. Both characters are versed with media ruin, and its devasting impact of having your life meticulously scrutinised by thousands of people. I loved the real-life issues that this tackled, the character development shown from both Aiden and Charlotte and seeing how they both fell for each other; it was just so, so good!
I'm so, so excited to meet Olivia next year at RARE London and obsess more over the swoony men that she writes! Thank you to Oliva and her team for the e-ARC, I'm not ashamed to say I ate this up!!
