First of all I'd say the book is really funny. There were places when I couldn't stop laughing, when reading it in metro;)
However, I cannot say that it is a reflection of today's teenager's mind. I'd call it 'dormitory trash-metal'. Living like punks, looking for troubles, a kind of love story - it's all glued together, but doesn't make you say 'Wow!'.
Reminds me 'Worship of the lizard' by L. Deresh a lot.
