“If this is a sin then hell will be my heaven.

CATLIN
My entire life, I've been the shy, church-going, virginal good girl. Doing the right thing has always been easy--until I meet Finnigan Evans with his sinful good looks and charm. Every warning I get about staying away from him and his family only makes me more intrigued. He's everything I shouldn't want, but I can't stop thinking about getting on my knees for a different type of God.

FINNIGAN
Violence, crime, and disposable women are how I live my frivolous life. A new woman every night and no one ever saying 'no' to me--except Catlin O'Flaherty. She's pure and innocent--a good girl who's immune to my charm--and it only makes me want her more. I'm too hellacious for her and should walk away. But more than anything... I want to make her my good girl.

4/5 This book was SO yummy. 🤤

TROPES:
-age gap (19h, 32H)
-virgin Catholic heroine
-sex club
-bad boy/good girl
-forbidden love

Catlin is a good girl. She’s Catholic, raised by her priest uncle. When she returns home to attend NYC, she meets a drool-worthy, tattooed man named Finnigan.

Finnigan is the complete opposite of Catlin. He’s a total manwhore, sleeping with different (or multiple) women each night. Him and his brothers run a sex club where they frequently indulge. But Finn prefers strippers (LOL).

They meet, and Finn falls first. HARD. He’s determined to win her over, but Catlin’s uncle wants her to have nothing to do with him or his family. She (obviously) doesn’t listen! Soon they have a good thing going, where Finn sneaks onto the property to spend time with her. He promises to remain abstinent and he does. Catlin eventually offers herself to him, and he accepts.

Things get FREAKYYYY when she’s introduced to his family and their club!!! 😆 I loved this book so much. It’s a quick, easy read (about 300 pages) and full of filth. I’m a sucker for books with religious themes and this book had it in spades.

There were some things I didn’t like though, hence the four stars. One, Finn very regularly flirts with his brothers wives. To the point where he tells his brothers that he jerks off to the thought of them. But he says later that he would never sleep with him (although I guess in a previous book a diff brother shared his wife with another brother, super glad I didn’t read that one LOL). Also, the fact that he’s a manwhore. 🫠 It’s not graphically mentioned, and he doesn’t cheat. It just rubbed me the wrong way. Lastly, NO KIDS??! Finn is a wonderful, caring uncle to his niece and I would’ve LOVED to see that side of him caring for his own kid. But they don’t even really discuss it in the book, apart from using condoms and birth control. I wanted my HEA with kids. 😭

SAFETY:
-virgin heroine, manwhore hero (but he stays celibate for her)
-no OM. very slight OW.
-no cheating/sharing
-Triggers: assault, attempted SA to heroine by hero’s enemy but nothing more than groping, murder, sexual acts in a church, CNC, blasphemy, religious degradation, light stalking, threats of incest (not by H), cuckholding/hot-wifing (a member of the club offers herself to H), group sex scenes (not involving H or h), sadistic/pain play (not H or h), heavy impact play (not h or H), pregnancy and childbirth (not h 🥲)
-Kinks: masturbation, dry humping, primal/chase/marking, corruption kink, sexual acts in a church, CNC, oral, light somnophilia (she wakes up after an O in her sleep and finds out the H gave her oral), religious degradation, voyeurism, exhibitionism (he takes her publicly at the club)
-HEA

I gave this 4 stars, but full disclosure I most likely won’t read the other books in this series because they simply don’t appeal to me. 🤷🏻‍♀

My bookshelves may contain spoilers.

🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This book was hot from start to finish! It was like an adventurous ride where you don’t know when the next big turn will be. In this book, you get a love story with a “little corruption, scorching hot spice, a reformed playboy with a filthy mouth with a side of mafia.

Watching Finn go from total playboy to a man obsessed was a total treat. He knew what he wanted and nothing could stop him. And then, to witness Catlin grow into her own was exquisite! To go from a sweet compliant girl to gaining confidence and freely exploring her k!nks; her growth was on point! Together, Finn and Cat created the best chemistry and their connection was unbreakable. The CNC scenes they created together were some of hottest I’ve ever read.

And those Evans brothers, they’re definitely something else! From their banter to their bond, these brothers love to remind us that they would do anything for each other and their family. I cannot to see what comes next for this crew.

I would like to thank J.L. Quick for the opportunity to read and review Primal.

Primal is book 3 in the Men of Club Triskelion series and the first two were amazing but this one, wow, just wow, it's stunning! I started and couldn't put it down, read it all in one sitting!

Finnegan and Catlin are a superb couple! She had been the good Catholic girl all of her life until she met Finnegan and learned there were other ways to be a good girl!! She's a quick learner too!

This book has all the steamy spice I hoped it would have. Definitely, a must-read, I highly recommend the entire series. I can't get enough!

I love a good romance between a bad boy and a good girl so Primal was right up my alley 😊 This story kept me on my toes. There was romance, heat, humor and action. Never a dull moment!

Catlin is one lucky girl. Not only did Finn give her all the love and support she needed but he also provided her a great support group with family and friends. Suddenly the lonely girl she was growing up gets to finally experience close friendship and a loving family.

But Finn is hands down my favorite! He takes one look at Catlin and becomes a one woman man with no regrets, doubts or waffling. He falls first and hard for his good girl and he proves it with not just words but with his actions. He was the perfect blend of danger, strength, love and loyalty.

The chemistry and spice was also so good! The cameos of the other Evan brothers was a bonus. This is definitely a unique family and there is plenty of kink exploration that kept me glued to the story from beginning to end.

Favorites Bits:
🖤 Spice Lessons/Kink exploration
🖤 The strong family bond - Never a dull moment with the Evans, lol!
🖤 The bad boy/good girl dynamic

Catlin is a shy and religiously oppressed soon-to-be twenty year old, who is moving back home to stay with her uncle for the next six months. Finnegan is a hedonistic playboy and shameless flirt who co-owns a sex club and is a part of the Irish mafia. When paths cross after confessional, Finn is left needing to know more, and Catlin is left wondering if her whole world is about to change.

This is the first book I've read by this author, despite this being the third of the series. Knowing I'd be missing some back story, I went in blind and with neutral expectations. I didn't anticipate being absolutely hooked. The pacing on this book was addictive and fast, and I ended up binging the entire thing in just over 2 hours!

Catlin is an innocent Catholic girl who's always done what she's told, even to her detriment. She's spent her formative years living with a devout Catholic grandmother while being raised in an Irish all girls school. She's had zero self exploration and has stayed chaste and naive to all forms of intimacy aside from kissing.

Finnegan is the opposite of everything she is. He's a shameless flirt and playboy, who's known for women falling into his lap, and never saying no to a good lay - or two - at a time. He's a pot stirrer who obscenely flirts with his brothers wives to drive their spouses crazy and is always laying on the charm to the opposite sex - including at his club.

When they cross paths, Finn throws his entire perceptions into the wind about what he wants, as does Catlin. Her priest uncle warns her off, but she's able to see through the darkness to his grey, and we get to watch Finn be persistent, devoted, and obsessed right out of the gates. He protects her, goes at her pace, and encourages her to have a mind of her own, without shame for what she desires.

I only wish we got more of their relationship development on the page. We're told it grows as weeks pass on and on, but we get shorter actual scenes, which made it feel very rushed. The spice was absolutely fantastic, though. Seeing Finn explore his newfound corruption kink along with his primal kink was incredibly hot. Bearing witness to Catlin discovering her voice, and that she's allowed to push back and be bratty in a space where that's welcomed and encouraged, instead of shut down, was so genuine.

If we had more of that relationship growth on page and the main mafia conflict not appearing and resolving rapidly, I'd have given this 5 stars. Either way, it sits at a very solid 4, and that's without any context as to the previous novels in the series - which sound just as amazing.

If you're looking for a bad boy MMC who falls hard for a sweet FMC, along with a lot of hot spice, this one's for you!

Thank you, J.L. Quick and The Author Agency for the digital ARC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

🖤 Priests Niece v¡rg¡n FMC
🥵 Bad Boy/F**k boy MMC
🖤 Age Gap

"Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned a f**king lot."

Excuse me, what? Finnigan Shay Evans is that any way to speak to a priest? 🤣 But damn I would forgive you for just about anything 🥵🫠🤤 just as the Priest eventually did for stealing the heart and innocence of his Niece 😉
This incredible contemporary dark romance by J.L. Quick of course did not disappoint this one bringing us the story of Finn and the one woman in the world who has managed to finally tame him and claim his heart from the second he sees her Catlin who also happens to be the Priests Neice at their church 😆
This book is filled with the right balance of spicy and sweet, love and action and will have you gripped from the first page and in love with Finn (if you weren't already) by the end 🤤🫠

"Primal is all sorts of gooey good stuff. I couldn't wait to read about Finn and see how hard he would fall and fall hard, he did. 🩷

Catlin is a good girl and Finn wants her to be his good girl and he will give up his old ways to do so. He waits for her and he worships her in all the ways and I am so in!! This is my favorite Evans brother so far, without a doubt!! (Though they are all sooooo good.) This book is hot as Sin and just exquisite. I love Catlin and Finn together. Finn grows as a person and matures and his character growth is admirable. One of my favorite tropes is found family and Finn’s family welcomes Catlin with open arms and I just love that!!

Please read the content warnings on the beginning of the book, dear ones, as this story isn't for everyone.

This is the third book of the ‘Men of Club Triskelion series. These stories are so addictive…I just can't wait for more!!!

Honestly I didn’t think the men of Club Triskelion could get any hotter but boy oh boy did I fall for Finnigan Evans!!

It was so great to get a book in Finn’s perspective because he is such a Larkin in Tristan’s and Declan’s books, that you really got to see this deeper other side of the heavily tattooed hit first ask questions later brother.

Who would have known that the stripper loving brother would fall for the innocent, good catholic girl Caitlin.

Honestly the growth in not only Caitlin but Finn in this book was absolutely epic and I was totally here for this Primal need that took over them.

“If this is a sin, then hell will be my heaven. You will be my heaven, because I would happily fucking burn for you.

Run don’t walk on this series I absolutely loved all 3 so far.

4/5⭐️ 3/5🌶

This book completely blew me away in the best way possible! Finn was everything you could ask for—patient, sweet, and totally devoted, yet he had this obsessive and possessive side when it came to Catlin, which made him all the more irresistible. Catlin, on the other hand, is a proper Catholic girl, the total opposite of Finn, but she can’t ignore the magnetic pull she feels toward him. Finn, known for his wild ways and a new girl (or two) every night, is completely undone the moment he meets Catlin. From that point on, he’s all in, ready to do whatever it takes to win her over.

I absolutely loved this one! Huge thanks to the author and their team for sending me this ARC—I’m so grateful!

ARC Review: 5⭐️

Primal is book 3 in the Men of Club Triskelion series featuring Finnigan ‘Finn Evans and Catlin ‘Cat O’Flaherty.

Cat is the niece of Father O’Flaherty who recently came to town to work as the church’s secretary. She is 19 and very innocent. That is until she stumbles into Finn leaving the confessional.

Her uncle warns her to stay away from Finn and his family, but his appeal is to much for her to resist. They begin sneaking around and it’s revealed the Cat isn’t as good of a girl as we thought.

When rivals of the Evans come around trying to cause trouble, will Cat be swept away in the madness or will Finn and his brothers do everything in their power to save her ?

Each and every Evans brother gets better than the last! This series is so good, the characters are easy to love and J.L. Does not disappoint with the spice (the confessional - IYKYK).

Thank you J.L. For the ARC opportunity, be sure to check out Primal on December 20!!

Holy mother of sin! I swear Finnigan Evans made me want to be a virgin again just so he could properly ruin me.

In this story we see Finn go from the ultimate playboy who has girls fall on his lap on a daily basis, to the most devoted boyfriend who's willing to wait for his girl for as long as it takes. In contrast, we also see how this innocent bratty girl, who has no idea what being a brat means, gets completely ruined in the best way possible by Finn.

I loved seeing the growth in both MCs and they way that Cat immediately fit in with the Evans. And I gotta say, and man with a bat has never been hotter.

I'm dying to see of I'm right about which brother is next, and I am also curious to know how the series' plot will continue, seeing as it seems like the Bratva issue has been resolved.

The way that I ate this book up! Honestly it shouldn’t have shocked me, I devoured the first two books in this series as well. I knew Finn’s book was going to be fun, but the banter between the brothers really got to shine in this book and it was fun getting to see Finn get a taste of his own medicine for once.

I just love JL’s writing and how easily the story flows. And these have just the right amount of spice. Her characters have so much personality, Finn being the prime example. And I love how absolutely possessive these men are for their women.

Reformed playboy mmc and inexperienced fmc?? Yes please!!

In this you get to see Finn go from a womanizer to utterly obsessed with Caitlin and I am ALL for it. From the moment he saw her he wanted her and how he did everything he could to win her over. In this story their bond becomes truly unbreakable and the growth for the fmc in this book, watching her become her own person is amazing!

I am an absolute sucker for a Mafia romance, but throw in the fact that it follows a group of brothers? Has amazing family banter and incredible spice is what’s keeping me so drawn in!

Watching Caitlin go from a good catholic girl, to discovering her own kinks and what she enjoys all to become HIS good girl 🥵

I absolutely loved the story line to this book, and how you never expected what was coming!! Honestly I can not wait for the next!!

Thank you so much J L Quick for this opportunity to read this amazing book!! I will most definitely be keeping my eye out for what’s to come!!

Primal is book 3 in The Men of Triskelion Series

Well, Finn's story definitely didn't disappoint. He was brought to his knees when he fell for the innocent Catholic good girl Caitlin. The story has everything brilliant spice but also drama and suspense with the developing story that is going on in each book with the Russian Brativa.

I'm absolutely loving this series, and the banter between the brothers is brilliant. You just can't help loving them. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

All I can say is wow!!! Finnigan and Catlin were just amazing!!! I love every single minute of this book and how they slowly came into their relationship was so perfect. I can honestly say Finn is my favorite character right now with how he respectfully and patiently waited for Catlin to be okay with doing more. I loved watching him fall in love with this woman and change himself for the better. I loved watching their banter and their spicy times and I loved seeing the entire Evan’s family fall just as much in love with Catlin and bringing her right into their family. I also really enjoyed seeing Finn with Fiona he’s such a great uncle to that little girl and seeing her gain another aunt was adorable. As always I want more of these two and the rest of them because this family is just so dang adorable!!

Don’t bother forgiving me for

My first J.L. Quick book has me ready to register for confession too. I was able to jump right into this series with ease, but I fell for the Evans clan hard. These brothers are such an entertaining and loyal group that fit:

“Finding Mr.Right isn’t going well, so I’m settling for Mr.Right Now, Mr. Later tonight, and Mr. What Are You Doing Tomorrow.

Finn instantly appeals to you in all the wrongly yet right ways. Cat really had no idea the twists that were to come when she came back to live with her Uncle. Love a forbidden fruit element. Who knew Church could feature such carnal moments. Break out your rosary and get ready for some heavy repentance (even though you’ll read it again). In the name of Finn..

“If this is a sin, then hell will he my heaven. You will be my heaven, because I would happily ****ing burn for you.

I received a free copy of this book from J.L. Quick and am voluntarily leaving a review. All opinions are my own.

Primal is the third book in the Men of Club Triskelion Series by J. L. Quick. This is the first book I have read of the series and now I need to read the first two books. Although the books are standalone the characters are interconnected. This book has everything you want action, romance, family, spice, fire, and a page turner storyline.

This is the story of Finn (MMC) who is the baby brother of the Evans clan and Catlin (MFC) who is the innocent niece of Evans family Catholic Priest (i.e. Uncle Sean). Like any good Catholic Finn goes to confession and is brutally honest about what he does and who he is. As he is leaving, he runs into Catlin and is immediately smitten. Finn flirts with Catlin and is warned by Father Sean to stay away from her. This only makes Finn more aggressive on getting to know Catlin. Catlin becomes friends with Finn’s sisters-in-laws (Quinn and Layla) which makes their interaction happen more often. The Evan family warns Finn that Catlin is not like his other girls. She is an innocent girl that has not experience with men and if he is not serious then he should stay away from her. Just by chance Finn sees Catlin walking home from the gym and saves her from being attacked by three men that were following her. What happens next is their first touch and kiss. They both are HOT for each other🔥🔥🔥. I think they both fall for each other at the same time. Finn tells Cat he will not do anything she does not want to do. Cat wants to be Finn’s bad girl and she becomes his bad girl.

However, Cat does not truly understand how much danger she is in with Finn, and they hide their relationship from Father Sean. Father Sean finds out about their relationship and makes her choose between being a good girl or being a bad girl with Finn. She chooses the latter. DRAMA!!!!

Eventually Finn tells Cat how bad of a guy he is and she starts to understand what Father Sean was talking about. But that does not change how she feels about Finn.

And of course, you must have someone from another family trying to get your girl.

This is the first time I have read the author J. L. Quick, and I really enjoyed reading this book. It was fast paced, has good humor, good sexy and steamy scenes, and a good story line. I am going back to read the first two books of this series.

Star: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Primal by J.L. Quick is a dark, tantalising tale of forbidden desire and the push-pull of innocence versus corruption. This book captures the dangerous allure of opposites attracting in a world where passion teeters on the edge of sin and salvation.

Catlin O’Flaherty, the epitome of virtue, is a character whose internal struggle makes her both relatable and compelling. Raised in a world of piety and restraint, she represents the ideal "good girl," but her encounter with Finnigan Evans shatters the predictable boundaries of her life. Her fascination with Finnigan’s forbidden world challenges her beliefs and forces her to confront her own suppressed desires, creating a narrative rich with tension and emotional complexity.

Finnigan Evans is a character who embodies temptation itself. His unapologetic hedonism and bad-boy charm are magnetic, yet beneath his rough exterior lies a craving for something deeper. Finnigan’s pursuit of Catlin is as much about domination as it is about redemption, making his character intriguing and multifaceted. Their dynamic is a battle of wills and a dance of danger, as Catlin’s purity and Finnigan’s darkness collide with explosive results.

The writing is raw and unapologetic, blending steamy chemistry with a darker undertone of violence and moral ambiguity. The story thrives on its ability to make readers question their own boundaries, pulling them into a morally grey world where good and bad are not clearly defined. Quick’s prose is vivid and intense, crafting scenes that are both seductive and unnerving.

Primal is not a story for the faint of heart. It delves into themes of power, control, and the seductive pull of the forbidden. The relationship between Catlin and Finnigan is provocative, challenging conventional notions of love and desire. Readers who enjoy stories of stark contrasts and morally complex characters will find themselves enthralled by this gripping tale.

J.L. Quick delivers a narrative that is bold, provocative, and unapologetically primal. The book leaves a lingering impression, daring readers to explore the darker corners of passion and choice. It’s a story of extremes, where the heavenly and hellish intertwine in a thrilling embrace.

Here is another series that I have picked up with a book in the middle of the series and realized I now need to go back and read the rest. This book was so good. It was a lot about the relationship with the two MCs, as well as their relationship with the MMC’s family, and a little bit of danger and a little bit of disapproving family. I loved the smattering of Gaelic that the characters use. My mother only taught me one phrase (pog mo thoin) so I had to refer back to the list at the beginning, but I thought it gave some realness to the characters. I love stories where the “bad boy falls for the “good girl. Seeing how both characters adapt and change for their relationship was so entertaining to read. And on top of everything, I really enjoyed reading the interaction of the Evans brothers and their families. I fell in love with all of the characters and it is what has convinced me to go back and read the other books in the series, even though you don’t have to enjoy this book.

The MCs in this story were fun and I couldn’t stop reading their journey. Catlin is back in the United States after spending years in Galway (side note: one of my favorite cities in Ireland), and living in an old convent attached to the Catholic church where her uncle is the priest. She is a good Catholic girl that has never done anything for herself and always followed the rules. She is riddled with Catholic guilt and is about as innocent as they come. That is until she meets Finn. Finn is a “bad boy and a playboy. He runs the club with his brothers and is with different women every night. But he quickly becomes obsessed with Catlin and decides tha she is more important than the multitude of women that throw themselves at him. He is so sweet with Cat and is the perfect example of how love can shape a person.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was so fast paced and I refused to put it down, so I finished it in less than a day. I wanted to know what was next for these two and I loved reading their journey. This book definitely has spice, both between the MCs and others. There are also so wonderful spicy scenes that take place at the club. Cat growing and going from sweet, innocent, good Catholic girl to Finn’s piscin was so fun to read. I will definitely be going back to read the other books in this series and I can’t wait for the next one.

By far the best. Finn is what you want and need in a man. J.L. Quick has done it again! Primal is the 3rd book in The Men Of Club Triskelion Series. These reads just get Spicer.

Primal is about the youngest Evan's brother, Finn. Yes, he is the naughtiest, the most charming, and my favorite. His charm is so hard to resist. He has a playboy rep and is the best uncle to his red-headed niece.

He can smile and charm his way into any girl's panties until he meets the much younger and pure Catlin. She is also the niece to our favorite priest, Father O'Flaherty. Who is not Finn's or the Evans' family biggest fan. Of course, we all know that when Finn goes to confession, he holds nothing back and has zero regrets. So, Father O'Flaherty will do whatever to keep his niece away from Finn.

Catlin has always done what has been asked of her and respects her uncle, who became responsible for her care after her parents' death and the Catholic religion. Now almost 20 years old she wants different and what she wants is Finn.

She doesn't give in right away to Finn's charms. He has to actually work for Catlin. Let me tell you he does a whole 360 for her. He proves himself and waits until she is ready.

Her uncle disapproval and danger comes knocking on the door, but Finn will do anything to keep his woman out of harms way.

The way Finn made sure Catlin was ready pulled on my heart strings. He wanted her but still respected her values. She is so different from who he usually dates, and he just fell so hard for her. They connected so perfectly, and their love was so strong.

I devoured this read! J.L. Quick knows how to write! The suspense and emotions from the characters will have you on edge. I loved every chapter. The spice in this read is truly the chef's kiss. When he takes her to the club and his eyes are just on her while she watches, it just had me melting.

He isn't about bounding her. He wants her to fight while he takes what they both want. I loved the epilougue and can't wait to see glimpses of them in the next books.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️+++ read with a 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶♾️. Go get the first two books, Owned and Bound along with Primal! Trust me, you need these must-reads!

Oh JL Quick, just when I think you cannot possibly write a better, more attractive, kinky, sexually desirable, foul mouthed man, you bring Finnegan Shay Evans into my life. Not only this sinful delectable man, but Catlin, the sweet, innocent, waiting to break free little devil who compliments and completes him. Literally has him on his knees. IYKYK Primal is pure writing perfection from the first spellbinding sentence until it’s an enchanting ending. I inhaled this book and it is one I wish I could read again for the first time. This outstanding dark contemporary Irish mafia romance is book 3 in the Men of Club Triskelion series. Each book is decadent and swoonalicious in its own way.
Primal is the perfect combination of sizzling spice and divinely sweet passion. The banter, family chaos and fantastic friend/family dynamic is perfectly written. Impossible to express the happiness I feel in my heart loving each character and their intricate devoted relationship to each other. The time and effort put into developing every personality, giving them each their own important role in the story is masterfully done. The Evans Brothers have the most amazing dynamic. Unbreakable is an understatement when it comes to their unconditional, undying love and devotion for each other and anyone they consider family. They “love hard.
Primal definitely challenges the morality limits of the characters as a battle between virtue and desire unfolds. The family mafia story unravels along side the romance and adds a level of tension and suspense.
JL Quick sets the bar high with her dark, sensual, action filled, captivating stories. Do not miss out on this series. The Men of Club Triskelion are everything one would desire in their book boyfriends and more. Connor really piqued my interest back in book 1. I am being a good girl and patiently waiting for more.

💜💜💜ARC Review💜💜💜

JLQuick has completely captivated me with the irresistible men of Club Triskelion. These Irish mafia brothers are sinfully hot. I knew Finnegan would be a captivating character a playboy with endless charm. In the first two books, he's incredibly entertaining, and his sharp wit is undeniable. This book was no exception.

The man is utterly swoon-worthy!

This is a forbidden romance with a sinful, primal edge, exploring the corruption of innocence. Quick masterfully draws you into a world of strength, power, love, and unwavering loyalty. The Evans family fiercely protects each other, and their bond is unbreakable. They're determined to shield Catlin, the 'good girl' now claimed by Finn. You heard that right claimed! He was resolute in his possession of her, and she readily accepted it. I enjoyed witnessing Finn's transformation into a devoted man; his growth was remarkable.

However, I felt this book moved a bit too quickly. Events unfolded rapidly. I cherish the dynamic tension between characters, so I was surprised by Catlin's lack of resistance. Yes, she's innocent, but I craved a bit more of a challenge for Finn. I thrive on that playful banter!

Despite this minor criticism, Quick brilliantly developed yet another compelling brother. I'm eager to see who's next. Declan and Tristan still hold the top spot for me, but Finn was a close second.

Regardless, I'm craving more of this series. I'm thoroughly enjoying exploring these darker corners of passion.

“If this is a sin then hell will be my heaven.

This is Finnigan & Catlin’s story and it does not disappoint. If you’ve read the previous two instalments of this series, you would have picked up on that each of the five Evans Brothers have their own kink. Tristan is a Dom who gets pleasure from praising and pleasuring his Sub. Declan is a Dom who’s preference is ropes, specifically the art of Shibari. Finnigan? He’s into primal play: biting, tasting, chasing the adrenaline rush that comes with stalking and chasing your prey. Once you’ve been caught, your pleasure is his ultimate goal.

He’s a 30+ year old who has been with more woman than you could count. None have ever caught enough of his attention to make any impression on him, or want him want to settle down. Until he meets Catlin - the 21 year old, good-girl, virgin niece of Father O’Flaherty, who is back from Ireland.

Their story is one of love, devotion, loyalty and trust. She may be the devout Catholic, but it is Finnigan who is brought to his knees before her.

The Evans Brothers line and breathe for their family :
“ there isn’t a thing in this world we wouldn’t do for one another or the people we bring into our family. We love hard.

The story is full of passion, intrigue and drama!
I love how all the brothers and the wives from the previous books, continue to play an integral role in the books. I read this in one sitting. I could not put it down, responsibilities be damned!

I love this series and absolutely loved Finn. This is my favorite reformed playboy book I've read. If you've read the first two books in this series, then you know that Finn is a HUGE playboy, but in this story they don't repeatedly remind you about all his hookups, shoving them down your throat, to the point of annoyance which I loved so much. One of my favorite things in this whole series is the brotherhood, they love so hard and will literally lay down their lives for each other and their families. I also love the sisterhood between all the girls how they just welcomed Cat right in.

Finn had me cracking up with his love for stirring the pot with all his brothers and especially their women, which he has done in all the books. When he first met Cat he was instantly hooked and there was no other woman for him, but she was Father O'Flahertys niece and a nice innocent church girl. We see such a softer, loving and nurturing side to Finn in this book. He is patient and the way he treated Cat just had me melting.

I loved seeing Cat come into her own and allowing herself to be happy and discover her sexuality even though she was told all her life she was supposed to be a certain way. She had dreams and aspirations, and she did them and when push came to shove she didn't let anyone tell her what to do. What she did for Finns birthday was HOT.

The mafia story continues in the background, of course, but it's not really at the front like the other books. This book was mostly Finn and Cat's love story and how he corrupts her. We got a look into the others' lives, especially Declan, Quinn and cute little Fiona.

I couldn't put this book down!

Primal had me hooked from the very first page, and trust me, this one is hot from start to finish (Daddy Finn is spiccyyyyyy). Finn, the playboy with a filthy mouth, is about as irresistible as they come. Watching him go from carefree, slutttttty, and cocky to completely obsessed with Catlin was such a GORGEOUS ride. And Catlin—wow, the way she grows into her fiery strength throughout the story is phenomenal. She starts off as this sweet, innocent girl, but by the end, she’s embracing her desires and confidently stepping into her own womanhood. The chemistry between her and Finn is BEYOND off the charts. Their scenes together? Scorching!

And let’s talk about Finn’s family for a minute. The Evans brothers are EVERYTHING you could want in a family. Their bond, their banter—it’s clear they would do anything for each other (cue the only I can mess with my brother line). They’ve got each other’s backs no matter what, and I loved how they welcomed Catlin into their fold without trials and tribulations. As much as this is Finn and Catlin’s story, you can feel the love and loyalty between the brothers/family. I can’t wait to see more of them in the other books! And honestly, Finn has become my favorite Evans brother, but with how addictive this series is, I’m sure I'll be falling for the next one just as hard.

If you’re into dark(ish) romance with a good balance of spicy and sweet, Primal is an absolute must-read. Finn’s character growth is everything I wanted and more, and Catlin’s transformation is just as rewarding to witness.

The steam factor is through the roof, and the tension between these two will keep you on the edge of your seat. This is definitely one of my favorite reads this year, and I can’t wait for the next book in the Men of Club Triskelion series!

Thank you, J.L. Quick, for the ARC—this book was everything!

JLQuick has me completely hooked on the men of Club Triskelion. Irish mafia brothers who are sinfully hot. I knew Finnegan would rock our world, a stripper loving playboy who is an endless flirt. In books one and two he really makes you laugh and you learn very soon that he has a mouth on him. This book was no different

“𝘠𝘰𝘶’𝘳 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘦, 𝘊𝘢𝘵. “𝘠𝘰 𝘴𝘮𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯. 𝘔𝘺 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯

The man makes you swoon!

This is an opposites attract, forbidden romance that is sinful and unapologetically primal. The corruption of the catholic faith. Quick has a way of pulling you in to a world full of strength and power, love and honor. The Evan’s family live and breathe for one another and would give their life without hesitation. They don’t hesitate to protect Catlin, good girl now owned by Finn. You heard that right, owned! The man was determined that she belonged to him. And she had no issues with it. I enjoyed watching Finn become a one woman man, his growth was astonishing. However, this is the first in the series that I felt was a little rushed. Things happened so quickly. I really enjoy the push and pull between the other characters that I was surprised to see there was no fight in Catlin. Yes, she’s a good girl, but give the man a challenge, yeah?! I thrive off the banter! Quick still slayed the development of yet another brother. I can’t wait to see who we get next. Daddy Declan and Tristan still take the cake for me. Baby brother was close, but a short second. Either way give me more, I’m loving the darker corners of passion.

“𝘐 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘴𝘪𝘯, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘯, 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘣𝘶𝘳𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶.

Oh Finnigan the way I’m obsessed with you!! This book kept me up all night long until I finished because there was no way I was putting this down. The mouth on Finn. Wow that will absolutely make you melt! The spice was absolutely amazing 😍 I love watching Finn go from a total playboy to falling hard and becoming completely obsessed with our FMC! Catlin’s character I adored and watching her find that voice to her uncle was great!! My mouth was on the floor for that part. Cat grows such confidence being with Finn but girl I would to the way he talks to her! The way these Evan brothers protect the ones they love just warm my heart! They will do anything and everything to protect their women. Overall I really loved this one and already can’t wait for the next book.

Getting little parts of Declan had big smiles on my face!!

 SPOILERS

I received this book (ARC) in exchange for my honest review which I am voluntarily leaving.

This book went from 0 to 100 in 1-2 chapters. Although we are informed it is over a few weeks, it feels very sudden. Almost an insta-love.

Finn is the typical baby of a family of boys - a bachelor who sleeps with any girl willing and reforms himself once meeting the FMC which is super sweet but also very sudden. I think I need a bit more of him changing his ways.
Catlin is a sweet only child of no family except an uncle and grandmother - a religious, good girl in all senses of the word. She definitely did come out of her shell quickly but I will say the scenes of Finn being sweet and gentle with her especially during her first time and comforting her was super sweet.

The brothers relationship - close which is so lovely to see but the way they all spoke to their brothers wives/girlfriends - absolutely nuts! Some of the Irish was questionable in certain instances. Translations all looked correct but the use of the words in certain sentences were questionable. I'm Irish. I understand Irish and some of the words would never be used. Literally my only issues which brought down this review.

Overall, decent - I'd recommend for a quick mafia, high paced plot and storyline if that is what you're looking for.

The spice was pretty hot too 🥵
Nothing overly crazy if you read dark romances but spicy enough to keep you hooked to the scenes.
