Sophie Santiago goes out with friends one night and ends up bumping into the most beautiful woman she’s ever seen, a tourist named Bryce. After a few hours with her, spent talking and dancing, Sophie knows that Bryce isn’t meant to be someone she knows for only one night, but something causes them to lose each other in the crowd. How will she find Bryce again when they didn’t exchange phone numbers or even last names?

Bryce Wilburn is a food blogger who lives in Tennessee. One year ago, she took a trip to New Orleans with her friends, and that trip changed her life forever. There, she met Sophie, a woman who Bryce instantly knew was the right one for her. While her friends mock her for believing in love at first sight, Bryce decides to stop wallowing and finally blogs about the night she met Sophie.

When a friend of Sophie’s discovers that blog post, she tells her about it, and Sophie and Bryce are finally able to reconnect. But can the magic of their chance encounter translate into more?

Finding love in a New Orleans bar after a few hours of talking isn’t supposed to happen. Yet, with Sophie and Bryce, it just might have.

(Spoilers) This New Orleans series just keeps getting better. In “March we meet Sofie and Bryce who meet at a bar and it’s like kismet. The spend several hours just talking and getting to know one another, the attraction is strong and just as Sophie invites Bryce home a fight breaks out in the bar and they are pulled apart. Never exchanging last names, phone numbers or the hotel Bryce is staying at. Fast forward a year and thru the miracle of social media they find each other. This was an incredible love story from start to finish.

A Romance That Feels Real: Love, Fate, and Second Chances in March

Nicole Pyland has long established herself as a master of contemporary sapphic romance, and March is yet another testament to her ability to craft stories that feel as authentic as they are compelling. Rather than relying on manufactured drama or a forced breakup to propel the narrative, Pyland expertly builds tension and emotional depth through the nuances of real-life relationship challenges, miscommunication, timing, and the uncertainty of whether a fleeting but powerful connection can withstand the test of time.

Sophie Santiago and Bryce Wilburn are immediately likable protagonists, their chemistry palpable from the moment they meet in a vibrant New Orleans bar. Sophie’s confidence and warmth make her easy to root for, while Bryce’s introspective and romantic nature lends a touching sincerity to their love story. Pyland ensures that both women are well-developed, with layered personalities and believable motivations, making their journey feel all the more organic. The pacing is thoughtful, allowing readers to fully invest in their emotional arcs without ever feeling rushed or contrived.

Beyond the central romance, March is enriched by its strong supporting cast, particularly Jill, whose presence adds both humor and depth to the narrative. Her wit and charm make her an unforgettable character, and by the novel’s end, it’s impossible not to wish for her own story to be told.

With March, Pyland delivers a novel that is both heartwarming and sophisticated, proving once again that love stories don’t need unnecessary turmoil to be engaging. Instead, she leans into the complexities of human connection, crafting a romance that feels refreshingly real. This is a beautifully written, deeply satisfying novel that will resonate with readers long after the final chapter.

March was the third installment in Nicole Pyland’s New Orleans Series and my favourite book so far of series. I honestly loved Bryce and Sophie’s story. The two have a chance meeting at a bar where they spend a few memorable hours together but then get separated with no way to contact one another. They spend a whole year individually pining for each other wondering if the connection they felt was as real as it felt in that moment. When Bryce decides to use her food blog to write about meeting Sophie and that she is looking for her, it gives them that second chance to meet again and find out if that connection was real and if they could build a lasting relationship.

This book was spicy and had lots of pining, not only from the main characters, but also from the new side characters we get to meet in this book. I also enjoyed getting a glimpse into the lives of Bryce’s friends and would love to read more about them as well. Of course, I was happy to see that the Fortune Teller from the first two books also made an appearance in this book and hope to continue to see her throughout the rest of the series.

This book is definitely worth reading and I can’t wait to read the next one in the series.

This is the third book in the New Orleans Series and as to no surprise the stories just keep getting better. I guess one reason is because you become more invested in each character and then find yourself rooting for the next couple we get to see develop into what is amazing love story. March follows the relationship of Sophie and Bryce. I really enjoyed this story because I wasn’t sure if the story was really going to feel believable at first. I mean how are we to believe that two people who meet today and spend hours together some how lose each other and lose touch completely. But Nicole did an amazing job of creating a believable situation. From the beginning I was invested. Wanting to see how things were going to come together. For me it also feels like this book has a bonus to it. Some of the supporting characters have great developments of their own going on (Magen and Kelsey) and I found myself at times really wanting for the story to keep diving into what was going on there. Love me some friends to lovers stories. Really a great and enjoyable read. Can’t wait for the next one!

There are so many things that I enjoyed about this book.
I really liked the main characters - they were relatable and likable from the very beginning.
I loved the premise of the story - instant attraction, quickly separated and eventually reunited.
I love that it’s part of a series that follows characters from previous books and introduces characters from the next one.
I especially liked that the story skipped forward a year which gave existing couples a chance to develop their relationships.
Best of all, I loved that this was a sweet, romantic, low angst story that had a happy ending- exactly the kind of story that we need right now.

I highly recommend this book and the whole series. The “book a month concept is fun, creative and full of happy couples. I admit that I’ve read and reread stories that I loved more(including some by this author), but this is a story that we need now. It’s full of love and hope and persistence, where it all works out in the end in all the ways that matter. That’s a world I really want to escape into right now.

I think that March is a great example on how to write a lost & found/ long distance relationship story. Nicole wrote it in such a way that my heart was also hurting when Bryce and Sophie got separated. I was hopeful when they were each desperately searching for each other the following day; and the longingly between the two during their time apart. I absolutely loved the fact that Bryce wrote about Sophie and their night together in her blog and the fact that the community came together to reunite the two lovers. That was by far the cutest/sweetest/best moment in the story (in my opinion).

Honestly I enjoyed the story but there was a thing that kind of pulled from the whole. The biggest one for me was the ending and how it felt so abrupt and unfulfilling. Like they left off with the promise to reunite and tentative plans but that felt very empty - I would have least liked a t more definitive timeline haha.

Overall, March is a great addition to the New Orleans series and worth a read if you enjoy lost & found and/or long distance relationships. It's sweet and makes one hopeful that things will turn out alright.

Bryce and Sophie meet after each goes out with friends, and Bryce is instantly charmed. They chatted, danced, had drinks....
Then a bar room brawl broke out, they got separated and Bryce spent the night in jail. Oops. And she never got Sophie's number etc etc.
One year later, and both women are still pining over the other. Both tried online searches, etc etc, but no luck. Bryce writes a series of posts about Sophie on her food blog, they go viral and end up reaching Sophie that way.
As this has been going on, Bryce's straight friend Kelsey has been hugely supportive. And Megan, who's been pining after Kelsey, has finally started seeing someone, and Kelsey has realized she's jealous.
I am getting a bit annoyed at the random fortune teller. I know it's a New Orleans thing, but she appears to be pointless.
Other than that, it's good. I liked the relationships, the side characters were fun and the wrap up was satisfying. 4 out of 5 stars

Wow. The creativity that went into writing this story is amazing. Words I would use to describe it Magical. Fun. Heartbreaking. Hopeful. Tense. Heartwarming. Foreshadowing. Exciting. You meet tons of new characters and there are so many mini story lines in this book, yet they don’t steal Sophie and Bryce’s spotlight, they highlight it. I love how this series is playing out and how exciting it is when we meet the new “players in the series. This book is just amazing. If you haven’t read the previous books in The New Orleans Series, you need to so you don’t miss out on how awesome this world is unveiling itself. I know there are still 9 books left in this series, and the first two had great couples. When I started this book I was unsure if I’d like Sophie, but now I think she and Bryce might be my favorite in the series. Guess we’ll see what happens!

March, the third book in Nicole Pyland's New Orleans series, effortlessly picks up where the second book left off. Sophie Santiago is at a bar with friends when she meets Bryce Wilburn, a charming food blogger from Tennessee. Instant chemistry draws them together, but after a few hours they get separated and Sophie just knows this is her person.

I totally devoured this book! Masterfully crafted and relatable characters not only captured my heart, but also developed beautifully as the story unfolded. I found it a perfect blend of romance and emotional depth with perfect pacing. March is a fantastic read that left me eagerly awaiting the next in the series.

I absolutely love this line from Kelsey while glaring at Bryce, “Because your actual mother doesn’t know you’re flying to New Orleans to meet your maybe soulmate.
Bryce and Sophie lose touch, but I love how they reconnect and find each other again. It certainly is amazing how social media can blow things up and bring a sweet happy ending, or in this case a blog can bring together two souls looking for each other. These characters just grab onto you and don’t let go!
The chance encounter really sets the tone for this 3rd book in this series. There’s a recurring character that just pops up out of the blue, and her no-nonsense help she gives to the characters is just awesome!

A Merry March Indeed

I enjoyed reading Nicole Pyland’s March during Mardi Gras, since this story is set in New Orleans.

The story has it all; unrequited, love, magical encounters, horrible jobs and second chances. Plus, lots of laughs, snarky, dialogue, and romance throughout.

Many sweet moments through this story of women finding love and happiness. When Sophie and Bryce finally meet the second time, it’s charming in its awkwardness.

This a great read. Highly recommend.

March is the third instalment in the New Orleans book series for the year.

I really enjoyed the concept of Bryce and Sophie having this amazing meeting before being separated without exchanging numbers or last names to be able to find each other until a year later - the yearning!

I also found the side characters stole my heart just as much in this story, as we followed along with them in the sidelines.

The low-angst was just what the doctor ordered for this one. Here’s to April out soon!

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Sophie and Bryce’s story is full of angst and tenderness!

The main characters of Nicole Poland’s latest are swept apart after a very hot kiss following a chance meeting. They both were hit by the other deeply on meeting. When separated during a bar fight the journey back together is where this relationship hangs. It is difficult and wonderful. It truly does take a community of strangers to bring them back together. It is a sweet read and all the characters have a part to play, keeping the story real!

Love at first sight? Can it really happen? Our New Orleans friends are back again, and this time we get to know Sophie more. She and her friends have a night out, and she meets Bryce, a tourist in town. Their connection is instantaneous, but their time together is cut short. As the story unfolds, both realize how that evening changed everything for them, and opportunities start to unfold that they could have ever imagined or planned.

Wouldn't it be lovely to have a love at first site moment! That's what happens with Sophie and Bryce. March is a very cute book. Low angst, lots of spice and a HEA. I was sad when the book was over I could have kept reading their story. It was that good. The only thing that makes it ok is that I'll get to read more about them in 'April' when it comes out. This series is becoming a new favorite but I say that about all of Nicole Pyland books.

I love the "what are the odds of this happening" in this story and even the doubtfulness from each characters respective friends. It's interesting to see how each friend reacts to what seems to be impossible odds. I loved how Bryce and Sophie couldn't really let go and it shows you how an off chance meeting can really effect someone's life. Don't want to spoil it for anyone, but it is definitely worth the read!

This is a sweet and romantic story about love at first sight and finding someone again after losing them. Sophie and Bryce have a strong connection from the moment they meet, but they get separated before sharing their contact details. A year later, Bryce finally writes about that special night, hoping to find Sophie again. The story is emotional, heartwarming, and keeps you hooked. It’s a lovely read for anyone who enjoys a feel-good romance!

ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS

Oh yeah, this is my favorite of the New Orleans series, so far. I’ve loved every book by Nicole Pyland, and I think I’ve read them all. The premise is uniquely appealing. Meeting the love of your life and losing them in the same night, horrors!

Blogging about their story and subscribers helping to find your lost love…priceless

The third installment in Pyland’s NOLA series, March, is a tale of love at first sight, including a magical meet-cute. It also introduces some new characters that I’m hopeful will appear more in the next installment. I also find myself once again wanting to book a tour of NOLA. It’s another win in my book, and I’m excited to see what Pyland has in store for us in the next NOLA book.

I am a fan of her books, but unfortunately this one fell flat for me. I was more interested in Megan and Kelsey’s side story than I was in Sophie and Bryce’s. Kelsey and Megan’s story seemed more realistic (friends to lovers) than Bryce “needing to find a stranger I spent a couple of hours with a year ago…who lives in a different state story. That’s just me though. I’m hopeful that the next book will be better.

When I read the synopses of the first three books in the series, this is the one I was most excited for!

I loved the characters as well as Sophie and Bryce’s relationship.

Stayed up far too late to finish this in one day. Bryce and Sophie’s story sucked me in so quickly! Pyland’s writing is so incredible and I’m so thankful there are 9 more books to come this year. Instalove usually isn’t my go to but the way their connection is written is incredible.

I’m loving that all the books incorporate the friend group and we get updates about them as well. Cant wait to see what happy endings others in the group get!

Yet another stellar story from Nicole Pyland! I’ve been on a run of not great books and I had the latest ARC from Nicole in my inbox and knew it would get me going again!

The third instalment of the New Orleans series didn’t disappoint! I loved how different this one was…one night in a bar that one year later neither Sophie or Bryce can get over!? Amazing. Bryce’s blog posts as she tries to find Sophie? Incredible. Finally seeing each other again only to have the spark still very much there? Tell me less! 😍

I’m absolutely convinced that by the end of this series I’m going to be planning a trip to New Orleans!
