Zoey’s life is proof that everything can change in an instant. The profession she’d worked so hard to join and the plans she had dreamed of for so long crumbled during a routine traffic stop that turned into a high-speed chase and ended with an attack that changed the course of her entire life.

After a few stumbles and one or two major falls, Zoey finally finds something that can take her mind off of everything she’s lost and give her something to wake up for every day. Helping others was her goal while she was in law enforcement, but since that career goal was dashed, she’s finally found another one that will be just as rewarding and a lot more fun.

Never a stranger to hard work or alone in her endeavors, since there is a club full of Queens happy to help her, Zoey embarks on a journey that will not only help her find her way but hopefully help many other women in the process.

Surrounded by friends and family from all walks of life, there’s one person in the group that’s been missing for years but has never been far from her thoughts. When he suddenly reappears with an idea that she never even let herself fantasize about, Zoey’s life changes again, but this time, in the best way.

Since childhood, Garvey had given new meaning to the term “black sheep of the family,” and for a long time, he thought that disappearing from everyone’s lives would make up for that. Drugs and alcohol changed the course of his life, and he thought he’d lost everything until his mentor reminded him that all he has to do is reach out and make amends to have it all back again. A chance encounter with the woman he’s never been able to forget is the catalyst that takes him home again, but the family that loves him, who has missed him every day he was gone, is what will keep him there. And, if he’s lucky, being back in the arms of his family will only be better with the woman he loves by his side.

Join Cee Bowerman in Rojo, and enjoy your time there with a character who has been part of that world since the first book she released. Watch Zoey fall in love again with a man who has Rojo running through his veins no matter how far he tries to run from it.

This one took me a bit to get into. I couldn't for the life of me place Garvey or his parents. So the author's note at the end was very informative. Also, not sure why, but I felt like I kept giving Garvey the side eye for half the book, not really trusting him, maybe because he wasn't familiar??

It was nice to see Zoey healing from the accident, even if her life had to go in a new direction. She was really making a difference for so many women and herself along the way. Garvey fit in well with the new direction of her life, the bonus was he was her lost love, the one that got away. Seeing them build a new relationship was fun, they had the familiarity of the past.

Things got a bit wild at the end, but it was great to see how everyone backed them, no reservations left at all for Garvey and his place on Zoey's life.

Loved it

I love reading about both of the families. I glad she got her happy ending after everything she had been through. Can not wait to see what happens next on this family.

Ugh. I fucking love all of these characters. And they’re all so interwoven in each others stories that I get to see more and more of them in each new book.
It’s so satisfying.

A definite must read book and series!

After her attack, Zoey's life is thrown into a tailspin that she has no desire to change, mostly because she's so unsure about what her future holds. However, with her fellow Queens behind and beside her, along with her entire network of family and friends, she will make it. One thing she never counted on is running into someone from her past. The one person who she may have never got over. It's certainly going to be entertaining, how can it not be with the Queens involved, but it's also going to be an emotional roller-coaster for everyone. It's definitely not a story that you'll want to miss!

One of the many things that I love about this author's work is how she is able to interconnect her stories throughout many of her series. One of my biggest hopes is that the Crazy Coven and the women of Rojo get to meet up somehow. That would definitely be an epic best seller!! However, I'm not sure that anywhere in the world is ready for that! Lol!! I do enjoy the visits from the previous characters, as brief as most are, and would certainly welcome even more.

This story is about a topic that I'm sure most people can relate to. Either by being or having known someone who has been in a situation similar to this with the drugs, alcohol, &/or prison. It's sad to know that it's more unusual for a person not to know someone who has been involved with one or more of these than the opposite. The adage of once an addict, always an addict is true. The same applies for those who have been in prison, because it's almost impossible for them to reintegrate into mainstream society without someone to help them, usually several someone's. Unfortunately, most of society is quick to judge others, even when they've done the exact same things (only were lucky not to get caught). Everyone deserves a second chance, as well as the assistance needed to rebuild their lives.

I would definitely recommend this book, series, and exceptional author.

I would also highly recommend reading all of this author's work if you haven't already. They are all phenomenal stories with loads of crazy antics, hilarious banter, and amazing characters that you can't help but fall in love with. You certainly won't be disappointed! Happy reading!

2nd Chance Romansce at it's BEST

Wow, what an incredible storyline! The way everything came full circle was so impactful, and it felt even more powerful when you remember her mom’s storyline. It really put everything into perspective, showing how the past had such a profound influence on the present. The tie-in between her disabilities and his addiction was a brilliant move—it highlighted their vulnerabilities and struggles in such a raw and human way. Their individual battles weren't just obstacles; they were key to understanding the depth of their characters and the choices they made.

The emotional weight of the tearjerker moments was definitely felt, especially as you saw how their lives were shaped by circumstances outside their control, yet they still tried to find hope and redemption. It was heartbreaking, but in the best way, as it showcased their growth and resilience. The story really made you feel for each character, and the connections between their personal challenges were beautifully woven together. It’s a storyline that stays with you long after it's over, leaving a lasting impression of both pain and hope.

Coming Home

Reading about Garvey's return to Rojo was like coming home to me. I always loved Sam and Carlie's story so much but never realized why until now. I was fortunate enough to have my mom until I was in my late 40's and I can't begin to say how much I miss her. But no matter what I went through I could always go back home. I floundered around for several years until I realized I needed to give that to my son. He can always come home.
But I regress. This isn't about me. This is about a wonderful story that explores love, heartbreak, pain, reformation and recovery.
Zoey Duke and Garvey Forrester have a long history but Garvey lost everything in the throes of addiction. This is the story of their happily ever after.
I can never stress enough how much a reader should try a Cee Bowerman book. Yeah some of them are MC based but you find few clubs like the Texas Kings and the Texas Knights. Plus Cee writes other genres to enjoy. I recommend her books to anyone who loves to read and loves a good story.

Cee does it again. I have no idea how she does it and keeps it all together. I have to be honest I couldn't for the life of me remember some of the characters in Zoey and Garvey's book. That aside this was an amazing love story. But not only do we get to witness the love story between Zoey and Garvey, we also get to see an amazing story of family and the love they have for one another, no matter the time and distance between them. Zoey and Garvey have a love that stands the test of time, but individually they are both very strong and have dealt with so much in their lives. They have both fought so hard to come back from their own personal H**L, and came back stronger.
This is one of my favorites. I adore this story and these characters. We get to see some of our favorite characters, and what's up with them. We are brought through a rollercoaster of feels.
Please do yourself a favor and read this one, you will not be sorry.

How do you got back and ask for forgiveness when you screwed up in the worst ways? How do you apologize for staying away after you served your time, cutting your family and friends off? Garvey was locked away for years, giving him the time and space to deal with his addiction and become the man others could rely on. What he didn't do was go home and face his mistakes head on. When the past comes calling, he realizes that he can't move forward without the girl that always had his heart. Zoey's life didn't go the way she planned and now she is having to learn how to be something other than a cop. Medically discharged due to injuries sustained on the job, she goes looking for a purpose and finds her first love. There was so much to their story, both of them dealing with a lot. Yet they finally have their chance at a life and neither one of them take it for granted. This was an absolutely gorgeous second chance love story!

Zoey had a terrible run-in with a man she made a traffic stop on. Now no longer able to perform police duties, she wants to do something productive with her life. Having met some of the Tenillo Guardians and their women, she wants to create a support system like what Pop created in Tenillo, for women released from prison. When worlds collide, it turns out that Zoey's old beau, Garvey, is living in Tenillo, as an ex-con helped by Pop. He's earned two degrees and become a substance abuse counselor. Since that's what sent him to prison, and out of Zoey's life, it's time for him to go back to Rojo and make amends with everyone. Their story is a good one, filled with insults and snark from both men and women, and no one is spared. Their work and their renewed romance make this a book with lots of action.

Garvey/Gravy and Zoey/Zozo

This was a wonderful story of second chances. Garvey and Zoey have loved each other since they were younger, but Garvey got mixed up with booze and drugs and did stupid stuff, especially when driving, and sadly, an accident happened that injured Zoey. He wound up spending time in prison, and when he got out, he went to Tenillo, Pop's place.
Zoey was a police officer and was badly injured by two guys, and it left her to find a different career.
She winds up setting up a safe place for prisoners to have a second chance at life.
I'm going to let you read for yourself as to what happens and not give out any more spoilers.
I so enjoyed seeing Martha and Sandra again 💕.

I was looking forward to hearing Zozo's story and it did not disappoint. I enjoy all of this author's book but this one was not my favorite. The funny banter between the characters were hilarious but they got old and I really wanted to hear more about his parents. Would have loved to see more interaction with them considering the amount of time of separation. The realism of what the family's of addicts face was spot on and what the recovering addict faces was not glamorized. Again love the stories of the author and I've read them all. This is still a great heart warming story with great character build

Ten stars

Zoey is a tough police officer recovering from a brutal beating . Garvey is her one love who fell into drugs and alcohol when they were younger and landed himself in prison. Twelve years later he is back. Determined to prove to all his family and friends that he has changed. Zoey brings him into her home and together they work to build a compound to rehab women who have been in prison and help them transition back into the outside life. This author never fails to bring entertainment to the reader. I recommend that you read this authors books in the reading order to better your reading enjoyment. You won't regret it!

Always 5 stars

As anyone who has read a Cee Bowerman book can attest, she doesn't write literary masterpieces. But what she writes is better. Her books take everyday circumstances and mature them extraordinary loves with characters who are relatable, funny, and give found family the best connotation. Zoey is a fine example of this. Zoey and Garvey were old young love where Garvey turned from rebellious to an addict to arrested and then a runner from who he used to be. When he finally faces the family, friends and first love again, he finds that his family and friends might just be what you wanted all along.

Garvey & Zoey

OMG. Cee Bowerman NEVER misses. This book had me crying big, fat tears one moment and then giggling out loud the next. I loved every single moment.

Garvey is a Forrester that I didn’t know, although I definitely remember his parents. His story is emotional to say the least. I am so freaking proud of him. And Zoey. My heart has hurt for her since she got hurt on the job. She hit rock bottom and came back swinging. I am so happy that these two found their way back to each other. My heart is so happy. 💜

Second chance HEA

Zoey a former cop starting a new foundation to help women just released from prison adjust to life on the outside. Garvey is a recovering addict and convict who needs a little push to come home to Rojo from Tenillo. Zoey gets advice and help from some of our old friends from Tenillo Pop, Sis, Blue and Brea. Who better to get this help from! This will lead to a new series from Cee and I can't wait to see where Delicate Flowers takes us! Waiting not so patiently for the next story. This one will have you belly laughing as only this bunch can.

I’m not one for loving second chances stories but this was so well done. I loved the direction Zoey took when her original plans had to change. I also enjoyed the ties to the Timed Served group and how the group mentored Zoey and her Queens with their Flower Patch project. I truly enjoyed the banter in these second generation books. There is always some with Cee Bowerman’s books and that is one of the things that draws me to reading anything she publishes. However, these second generation books are a hoot. Another great one!

Must read for fans of Rojo, Texas

Of all the stories about Rojo, Texas, I think this is one of my favorites. The people are as crazy and loyal as ever. The depiction of the struggle with addiction is honest and realistic. Garvey made no excuses for his past behaviors, nor did he downplay his daily battle with remaining on track. While Zoey forgave him and offered him a second chance, she was aware that he could fall. This book could make you laugh and cry, sometimes in the same paragraph. I am looking forward to more about the Texas Queens.

Humor and reality

I live to laugh and cry while reading a good book. Wish there was a program for men and women like you describe. My son is struggling to succeed while staying clean and raising children. His wife separated and is letting addiction win while using emotional blackmail to control my son and her family. Men don't receive support for domestic crisis women do. I thought being a single mom was tough in a mans world. But a single dad with a record and an emotionally unbalanced wife using is insane

Zoey:Texas Queen MC, Book 2

Every book Cee Bowerman writes is my favorite. This one of course is the best, because Zoey is one of the Queens who has become one of my favorite characters. I love the humor on the disability develops through the book and of course the struggles of her love interest, just tops off this one. Cee , now Janis is a character unto herself and I can't wait for her book.

Awesome

This steamy MC romance is perfect for fans of protective, possessive, and sexy Alphas and strong, sassy women. This second-chance HEA for Zoey & Garvey was definitely a long time in the making. It is so gripping that it will keep you reading well past your bedtime. This is definitely not your typical MC story; they have an absolute strong sense of family loyalty. Far beyond being just another MC story.

Love is in the air

This book was so fun to read! But it wasn't all jokes. I love the truth that was added, about the different struggles there are to love someone with a TBI or addiction. True love to me is seeing worse traits in someone and loving and supporting them to be their best selves. Cee has done a amazing job of that in this book. While we have so much fun and laughter reading it. Enjoy!!!

HONEY...IM BACK

I've read about these families cause CEE is so good in dragging us in. Do you know how hard you're going to laugh? These Womens were the answer to all the families that came before them. Just because they go away for a long period of time doesn't change everybody getting all up in the business. It was a fun story and you laughed out loud. Time heals Most things if it's what you want to.

Funny and Sexy

I simply adore a good old-fashioned Forrester/Duke romance, especially when the Texas Queens MC gets involved. The storyline had me hooked, line and sinker. Navigating the challenges of life after incarceration and finding a new normal is no easy feat, but Zoey with her fellow queens find a way. Garvey's journey was well written and the end result was perfect. Bravo, Cee - this series has me anticipating with excitement!

Top notch banter

After reading different perspectives of when Zoe was attacked I was so ready for her story and it didn't disappoint one little bit. The banter in this book especially between the girls was hilarious and truly showed how bonded they all are. They found family vibes if Cee's books never get old and I can't wait to read many more stories in this world and especially when the worlds meet.

Second chances for the WIN!!!!

I've never struggled after a bad decision like Garvey or had to forgive someone like Zoey did but this book is the perfect example that second chances don't come easy or quick! Sometimes the hardest part is forgiving yourself! I'm ready for more delicate flower stories!!! These Queens bring all the feels in very different ways!!!

Excellent second chance story!

This was an excellent second chance story. Zoey and Garvey have literally been through hell and back and were able to find their way back to each other for their HEA!! This story hits home for so many families that have a loved one who is an addict. The Queens are the absolute best family and friends any girl could ask for!!

Zoey and Garvey - 10+*

Zoey is Book 2 in the Texas Queens MC series and an awesome read!! Loved watching these two navigate their reunion after over 10 years apart. Had tears in my eyes, some heartache at what they’d been through both separately and apart. There were sexy times and a lot of snark as usual. Cee Bowerman hit another one right out of the park!!

One day at a time

I'm a huge fan of owning your addiction and overcoming all your mistakes. Garvey is like my spirit animal and Zoey is just the perfect partner for him. The program Zoey is starting sounds amazing and the perfect place to start again. Add in all the family's involved and it's the perfect storm of love and sarcasm. Just read it!

Zoey's story

Great book as always. It was great to see how Zoey overcame the assault as a Cop. It was heart warming to meet Garvey who had been in Tenillo with pop. The ups and downs they both face as the learn new skills to help others just like pop did. The Queens still go strong and make you cheer and laugh. Looking forward to the next book.
