Raised as a Navy brat, I learned early on how to handle conflict. And after years of serving in Naval Intelligence, I thought I had seen it all. Getting kidnapped by aliens was a new one鈥 even for me.
The gladiator pit I鈥檓 thrown in is a merciless and savage world, where strength and violence reign supreme. Charick's arrival fills me with hope of escape and reuniting a with my friends from the Tuesday Night Outlander Book Club. But as Charick plans our escape, we stumble upon a sinister plot 鈥 my captor intends to use me as a pawn in his quest to murder his father, Duke Ako. My blood boils at the thought of being used for such a heinous act. I've never backed down from a fight before, and I refuse to let Nansar鈥檚 twisted scheme succeed, despite the peril of standing against him.
It鈥檚 a harrowing task just to stay alive, outsmart Nansar, and evade relentless alien assassins. Yet nothing compares to my heart's desperate pull towards Charick, craving his touch and love despite the looming danger.

I still like the premise of this series, that all the MFC鈥檚 are in their 60鈥檚 but youth-inized in a space healer machine. However, I do feel like the author could have described more around going from an 鈥渙ld鈥 frame of mind to a young one. This book addresses it a little,
鈥淚t just feels strange. I鈥檇 made peace with being an elder... made peace with the turn of my life, and now.... I am a young man again, even though I still feel old inside.鈥
Having myself cleared fifty, going back to a younger way of being seems very鈥 cringe, and exhausting. Not just because of body issues either. The developmentally appropriate ways of thinking and being that come with being in the 20鈥檚 and 30鈥檚 are very different than the 50鈥檚 and older.
And this reference, "John Wayne goes to Mars," - I couldn't help but think of Edgar Rice Burrows in his Barsoom series written in the early 1900鈥檚. And now I've really outed my age :). I look forward to the author writing her version.
After a long wait we finally got the last book in a very good series! I was saddened to see it end but overjoyed that there will be more to come based on it in the future. Loved the world building as well as the characters. Who wouldn鈥檛 want to join in the fun knowing one can also be able to turn back the age clock and have a second chance at life and love, sigh鈥. Also, loved the subtle but meaningful poigshout out to our military members and heroes!
Omg Willa and Charick鈥檚 story might be my favorite! It鈥檚 so good and they are so cute together!! I was extremely sad that this was the last book of the series but I鈥檓 very happy to hear there will be more series for this world!! I love that so much!!
Great ending for this group. Thank you in advance for continuing with stories for other characters introduced. I will continue to read every book of this author.
Willa was a soldier in her younger days that serve her well now. Charick has been looking for her for along time because her friends have charged him to find her. They must also stop an assassination. Last in the series that doesn't disappoint. Enjoy
