Get ready for an out-of-this-world ²¹»å±¹±ð²Ô³Ù³Ü°ù±ðâ€ Have you ever wondered how secretaries in the 1950s typed so gosh darn fast, or what really happened to Jimmy Hoffa? What about how to deal with a clingy ET who just won't take no for an answer? I bet you didn't know how badly aliens yearn to find the ever-elusive Waldo. Seriously, it’s next-level, out of this world yearning. Maybe aliens are just stuck like humans in the daily grind, each day herding their flocks or trying their best to get through that next full moon abduction. Or perhaps they’re angling to snag Earth's cola or coffee stashes (caffeine addiction is indeed a universal problem).
Curiosity piqued?
Give your cheek muscles a wee stretch and get ready for some grins—even a guffaw. If you adore the thrilling mystery space has to offer and don't take life too seriously, this is very likely an intersteller (see what I did there?) book for you. If you crave laughter, appreciate oddities, andmost importantly—can fathom that aliens might be as clueless or bumbling as we are, then yup, this is definitely your next read!
Within the pages of this anthology are fourteen sometimes satirical, frequently silly, and more-often-than-you’d-expect thought-provoking sci-fi tales from some of the genre’s most talented wordsmiths. With a foreword written by Ai Jiang.

THE What early readers are saying about Forgetting Something?Cindy’s book-obsessed English teacher gushed, saying, “Huh, I might actually read this. Well, maybe. You know, if I get time I’m pretty busy, but I’ll definitely add this to the list. I swear.
Steve’s mom’s sister’s second cousin twice removed, who worked at a bookstore for a few weeks back in his college days, said enthusiastically, “I’ve never seen a book with such a pretty cover.
The five little bug-eyed green men living inside my uncle’s old shed exclaimed, “This is the first rectangular binding made of compressed tree particulate we’ve ever seen. And it tastes so good, too. How fascinating.
Okay, so aliens aren't really my jam. But this collection is brilliant. Forgetting something literally had me laughing out loud. It is such a fun concept and such an interesting and entertaining collection of shorts.
If you’re a fan of aliens, you can’t miss this anthology of short stories! Full of humour and lots of variations on the theme, every story will surely keep you glued to the pages whilst keeping an eye out in the sky!
I’m a big believer of extraterrestrial life, and I want to believe I’ll one day bear witness to a first contact, and I hope it’ll be like some of these stories (not all of them though LOL).
There’s a huge variety in this anthology and I doubt you won’t like at least one of them. The running thread is humour, with veins of satire, meant to provoke and reflect on our current society. We have hints to MIB, ET and Mars Attacks, although to be fair, the aliens in this story are rather loveable and as always, is the human race that’s despicable, often making false assumptions based on poor evidence (literally zero in the case of first contact).
One point that came up a couple of times was that aliens love our coffee, and I believe I would also be ready to do anything to get my daily caffeine fix, like the earthlings in the story Not My Coffee, You Alien Bitch!
If you want to speculate on what kinds of aliens are out there whilst having a laugh, then read this anthology, you’ll thank me later.
Thanks to the editor R. A. Clarke and Page Turn Press for a copy and this is my honest opinion.
Thank you to the author and the publisher or publishers for all your hard work! I'm leaving this review voluntarily and happily! Take a look!
To start this off, this is only the second anthology I've ever read. I tend not to read them because I have a hard time remembering all the story's, but I'm going to make it my goal to start reading more as they are interesting and definitely worth reading. Like all books, i enjoyed some and some i didn't of the stories within. There was definitely weird, strange, funny, and the absurd. From coffee, dogs, and human suits.. There are so many different things in this anthology. Only once did I teeter to lose interest, but as I kept on, it quickly came back. Pacing is decent, and all characters are pretty much likable.
A collection from aliens on earth, people like us describing events that may or may not have happened to them, kitties in the west, aliens very much addicted to coffee, and so many strange and funny stories combined into one book. Read if any of this sounds interesting to you!
Reading this certainly has opened my eyes and has me wanting to read more anthologys. Be it horror, humor, or something else entirely, I'm ready to explore this sort of genre. Plus, my love for aliens only grows with this book.
Alien stories are either scary or funny and sometimes both. There are no real scares here, unless you are super addicted to coffee and don't want to share it. These tales are amusing and unique, my favourite being a story of infiltration by way of celebrity. There are abductions and studies of earthlings, and many confusions brought on by aliens misunderstanding humans. It sparked my imagination as to how we could really be perceived by other planets, and thats a good thing. Highly recommended as light hearted science fiction fun.
Forgetting Something? 🌟🌟🌟🌟 This is a fun anthology of alien inspired short stories. There’s mystery, humor, strangeness, and a lot of very creative stories!
They are all great stories, but a few standouts are:
•Viral Transmissions •The Surgical Option •Not My Coffee, You Alien Bitch
Thank you to R.A Clark for an arc of this awesome anthology! *It’s out now!!*
Man, these short stories had me laughing, and had just the right amount of humor. Each story was a different take on aliens, and included things like human studies, coffee, "human suits", and abduction. It was fun.
My favorites were: * Cravings * Cat-Skinner Sweet and the Twirling Teacups of Deadwood City * Stop Eating Our Engines! * Earth's Best Friend
I enjoyed it but it wasn’t outstanding. Some of the tales were a bit far fetched or difficult to follow. Others were good but I felt it lacking a bit in terms of character development or information
This was so fun. Each story so different, funny, thrilling and overall entertaining. I really enjoyed it!…it really makes you think and some parts had me laughing so much.
Page Turn Press has done it again with another cracker collection of stories. I feel like funny alien stories are something so many people enjoy and the authors featured have delivered. Forgetting Something? Brings us a wide variety of alien characters, situations and aliens misunderstanding human things, that you can’t help but chuckle at. My favourite was the search for Waldo and the unexpected surprise a group of aliens get when they aim to abduct a human onto their ship.
This was a great pallet cleanser from all the darker things I tend to read. I love stories about aliens, but with the humorous way this was written, it was funny and entertaining. It's a collection of short stories, each one unique in its own way.
Forgetting something is a collection of short stories that will have you laughing out loud and wondering if aliens really do walk among us as its feeds your imagination. Maybe I’m alien I do love my coffee. Each story is unique so there is something for everyone.
