"Da gibt es keinen Haken. Das ist mal so sicher, wie Prinzessin Lillifee supercool ist."
"What makes women happy?", asked Trudi again, this time a bit less patiently.
"The, ugh, power of positive thoughts?"I suggested, because Trudi was a firm supporter of esoteric ideas.
Proof of this were the books stockpiled on my nightstand: Commissioning from the Universe, Everyday magical rituals to improve your karma, Transcendence through shamanism, Success through self-deception and so on and so fort.
"The ability to see everything through rose-tinted glasses?"
"No", said Trudi beaming. She had obviously decided to stop keeping me in suspense. "It's shoes!"
"We're only wasting precious time with these discussions. I'm all for clear announcements and compliance with rules." She stuck her hand out rather snappily. "By your leave: Hitler!"
I snickered. She even had a sense of humour. I liked the woman.
I shook her hand heartily. "A pleasure to meet you. Mussolini is the name! I'm also a proponent of totalitarian regimes."
"Excuse me?" I was reading complete confusion in the woman's eyes.
And as Mrs. Siebeck simultaneously asked: "Mrs. Bauer, Mrs. Hittler, does one of you wish to take over the cookie stand?" I realised why.
Oh dear! The poor woman's name really was Hitler.
