A steamy, small town, cowboy romance by bestselling author Elizabeth Bright.
Of course I said yes when Hannah Bell asked me to help her save the library. I say yes to everything. After an accident destroyed my career as a rodeo cowboy, the only things on my schedule were brawling, drinking, and bedding, so it wasn’t like I didn’t have the time.
Now, I have regrets. Because the nerdy little librarian drives me crazy. She has five cats. Five. Her nose is buried so deep in her romance books that she can’t see me standing right in front of her. And those long skirts and baggy sweaters leave far too much to the imagination.
The thing is, though, I have a very good imagination. And I’m desperate to see if the reality is even better.
But Hannah’s past left scars on her heart as thick and raw as the scars on my body. Physical intimacy is a problem for her—and she thinks I can teach her the solution. So of course I say yes to that, too, even though I know it means risking a heart as shattered as my leg.
She says it’s just physical, but I have one more lesson to teach her, if she would only let me.

Elizabeth Bright writes smart, passionate romance with heart, humor, and heat. "Sparkling prose...unrelentingly sharp...unabashedly nerdy." (Bookpage) When she's not writing stubborn heroines and the men who adore them, Elizabeth can be found hiking and rock climbing. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her two daughters, who are every bit as headstrong and wonderful as the characters she writes.
I have had this series on my TBR for a minute so was excited to jump in. I enjoyed that this one was a true standalone. I do plan on going back and reading book 1 and 2, but I didn't feel like I was missing anything by not having read them first. This was such an easy fast read! I have to say the pacing felt a little off to me at FIRST. Hannah and Zack were going to be working together on a rodeo that Hannah was putting together for the library and then after hanging out twice Hannah propositions Zack. Nothing wrong with that, but I didn't know where the story was going to go from there. I really appreciated Elizabeth's storytelling and keeping me on my toes! I did NOT expect Hannah's backstory which led to part of the reason so wanted to hang out with Zack and get lessons but was also not interested in starting anything serious. I liked these characters together a LOT! They pushed each other and helped each other navigate through some past trauma that neither of them really wanted to deal with. Zack was great! I LOVED his reaction to Hannah calling him a *good boy.* I actually loved his reaction to everything about Hannah. She was everything he didn't expect but found himself craving. I loved and hated how Hannah's bar had been set SO low due to her past but how Zack helped build up her confidence because of how confident he was and how much he built her up.
Hannah is on a mission. She is about to ask the rodeo master (at least of her small town) to help her put one together in the name of libraries. She is not intimidated or judgy of his past. She just needs his expertise. But man does he surprise her with how casually confident he is. She sees this sadness in him that she finds herself wanting to help with. She finds herself wanting to work through some of her issues with his help which is how she finds herself propositioning him one night to spend the night. Of course she still has her challenges but now she has confirmed there really is something wrong with her. But then Zack surprises her- he finds out her *secret and wants to help her IF she will let him. Which is how she finds herself in bed with Zack on the regular exploring each other's bodies but being clear no feelings are to be involved. But she can't help but like him. He is just so different from what she is used to. He had no hesitations to go on a five day road trip together that was not planned. He is not intimidated by her brother. In fact he keeps showing her that he does really care. But is she ready to open up her heart again? It feels so unnatural for her but at the same time so right because it is Zack.
Zack is at a low, but no one knows. He has continue to put on the front of the goofy laidback brother with no troubles. When in reality, he is really struggling with how much his life has changed since he got bucked off that horse. He has found himself in a holding pattern of sorts. So he was excited to say yes when the town librarian, Hannah, asked for his help with a local rodeo to help out the library. He has something to work towards now. Something to look forward to. He finds himself enjoying Hannah's company. She doesn't sugarcoat things. In fact she says whatever is on her mind which can be harsh but he appreciates it. So when she propositions him to stay the night with her of course he is going to say yes. Because something else no one knows is that he has had zero escapades since his accident. And now he WANTS to. He WANTS Hannah. They have a great night or so he thought but then he is surprised to learn that Hannah has a problem. Something he happily volunteers to help her with. Which is how he finds himself offering lessons of a sort. But there is something about her that he likes. So when she asks him to go on a roadtrip with him to help him out he says yes. And now they are in a situation where they are sharing a room for several nights. Sharing a bed. He is really liking this. He knows the rule was no feelings but he finds himself having feelings. He finds himself wanting everyone to know she is his even though she doesn't seem to know it. And even after learning about her past, it makes him want her even more. She is so strong. But after a night of passion, something slips out too casually. Something that puts her on edge. She freaks with good reason but Zack has decided she is his endgame. He isn't going to let her go without a fight.
Like I said, super easy fast read. I liked the world. The 5 cats with their own personalities. The side characters- including Hannah's brother and his friends. I liked how much these two opened up together in all ways. How they really became better. They were so opposite but really mellowed each other out if that makes sense. I am really looking forward to more in this world (I'm guessing Chloe for book 4) as well as reading books 1 & 2! Definitely recommend for some good boy cowboy fun!
Thank you to Valentine PR and Elizabeth for a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review :)
I binged this so fast that I can’t call it anything other than 5 stars - I ate it up. The wallflower/rake vibes worked in a big way, with our wild, playboy of a cowboy falling for a buttoned up librarian before he even knew what was happening. I loved that the heroine knew exactly how to handle him, and their dynamic was a delightful surprise. Playful, bright, and SPICY. I’ve been enjoying the series, and I’ll admit to being both excited about the characters and hesitant about the tropes in this installment, but I had no reason for concern. The “spicy lessons felt natural and empowering. Both characters have things they’re working through, and I loved that the story explored some heavier themes while being light and fun overall. Bright’s writing is so engaging that I devoured the whole thing in a single day, and I have no regrets.
The story follows Zack, a former rodeo star who is figuring out his new normal after an injury ended his career and nearly ended his life. While he’s always been up for a good time and is quick with a smile, that hasn’t felt like the right fit lately. So when the local librarian asks for his help planning a fundraiser, it feels good to be needed. Zack has seen Hannah around town on occasion, and he’s always been quick to remind himself that she’d never go for a guy like him. Hannah’s past has left her with some hangups in the bedroom, and it’s not long before she’s utilizing Zack’s experience to overcome them. As the two spend time getting to know each other in and out of bed, they form a connection that neither anticipated.
We’ve gotten to know both Zack and Hannah throughout the series, so I was definitely excited to read both of their stories - though unsure about the combination. I shouldn’t have been worried. They are essentially strangers, and Zack is in an entirely different headspace than he was before his accident. They ground each other in a way that made them feel stronger together, working through their struggles as a team. I loved that they felt like partners so early on, developing a friendship right along with a romantic connection. The story is fast-paced and wastes no time bringing the heat, but the spicy scenes were also important and integral to allowing their relationship to develop. Zack is smitten right away, and he makes the perfect partner for Hannah - loving, patient, kind, and incredibly supportive. He’s still a little wild, which was exactly what Hannah needed as she continued to come out of her shell. I thought they were great together, and I didn’t even mind that their relationship evolved so rapidly. This held my interest with ease, and I couldn’t have devoured it any faster.
I am in my cowboy era right now, and I was not expecting the arc I signed up for to be my favorite one on the year so far! I need to revisit Lodestar and Aspen Springs with the first two books of this series. I loved the chemistry between Zach and Hannah. Zach is the epitome of the golden retriever book boyfriend. He is a former rodeo star, and had to retire due to an injury. Hannah is straight to the point, a book lover, master embroiderer, cat mom, and horse rescuer. I fell in love with Hannah's character faster than Zach fell in love with her ankles. I had a hard time putting this book down. Zach's texts with his brothers, and their relationship with so funny. There honestly wasn't anything I didn't love about this story, and the author's writing style.
Read the trigger warnings because there are some heavy topics discussed. The author did so well with navigating the trauma for both characters.

Thank you Luna Literary Management and Elizabeth Bright for the opportunity to read this story early. This is my honest review.
It was my first from Elizabeth and I just loved it. It sort of gave me Walk to Remember vibes, but without the FMC..you know, dying of cancer.
Hannah and Zack’s story was just so sweet. Both of them having trauma to overcome and the trauma shaping who they were as people. I always love those mental health reps!
I loved how supportive they both were of each other and just left the judgement at the door. Honestly, despite all of their above mentioned trauma, this was like the healthiest relationship I’ve ever read in a book. 🤣 Relationship goals, really.
I got a kick out of the excitement of their little horse rescue operation, and how they pulled it off in the end was just hilarious. I also thought the rodeo planning side plot was really fun.
There’s lot of spice in this one for the spice lovers - it’s unexpectedly hot, especially for the sweet story telling writing style! Solid three chili peppers for sure.
Definitely check the trigger warnings before starting this one! ♥️♥️
What to expect: 🐴 Rodeo star/bronc rider MMC 🐴 Librarian FMC 🐴 Reformed playboy 🐴 Religious trauma 🐴 “Good boy
Both the MMC and FMC have drama work through and do it in such a healthy way that’s it’s not dragging others down while healing. Zach, the youngest of 3 brothers on their family ranch decides to help the local librarian Hannah host a fundraiser and that’s where their story begins. Funny, sweet and steamy! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wild, Wild Cowboy by Elizabeth Bright ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💫(4.25)
Thank you so much to Luna Literary and Elizabeth Bright for the opportunity to ARC read Wild, Wild Cowboy, the third book in the Lodestar Ranch series!! I have ARC read for the first two of this series and I’m just so happy and glad I was able to for this one too!
This was once again a great read, I am never disappointed with Elizabeth’s writing and I am ready for more!
I absolutely admired the adored the chemistry between Zack and Hannah. Zack was such a big golden retriever MMC and the way that man has a thing for Hannah’s ankles (I was dying over this at first) but the way he is with her is just perfect. Hannah is the biggest bookworm, embroidery loving librarian and I really liked her character. I found myself once again relating to an FMC which made it easier for me to fall inlove with her character.
Both characters have intense traumas that they’re going through and the way Elizabeth wrote them was very well done. I also wanted to literally fight people for Hannah for sure.
I love the Lodestar Ranch series so much and I am hoping there will be more to come in this series because I’m not ready for it to end. I love myself some Cowboys.

This book!! I was so excited to receive an ARC to read and review.
4.5 🌟 3 🌶
Hannah is a quiet, nerdy librarian who loves books (obviously), her 5 cats, and sewing. Zack is a rough rodeo cowboy who was forced to retire after a bad injury. He's known around town for being a player.
When Hannah needs help with a rodeo fundraiser for the library, the 2 pair up to work together. And they end up working together on more than just the rodeo;)
I loooved these two from the start. The spice started early and damn! It was hot.
Hannah and Zack's relationship grows so beautifully as they both help each other work through things from their past. It was truly a joy to read how they supported each other.
Hannah challenged Zack in many ways, and I love how bold she could be. She has a beautiful heart and truly just wants Zack to be the best version of himself.
This is a small town, cowboy romance, and it was such a good read! An easy 4.5 stars.
What to expect:
✨️ small town romance ✨️ spicy lessons ✨️ road trip ✨️ menal health rep ✨️ found family
More 4 1/2 🌟 This was my first book by this author and it didn’t disappoint. This isn’t a dark romance but does touch on some heavy themes like a religious cult, child marriage and the horse slaughter industry however they were handled so carefully. Wild, Wild Cowboy features Hannah the nerdy librarian and Zack the injured rodeo star both are complete opposites yet their chemistry is incredible. This story takes you on a journey as they both deal with their past in order to move forward as a couple. I loved them both! I really enjoyed this one. I received a complementary copy from Luna Literary.
Question: What is the best way to procrastinate doing work? Answer: Completing other tasks that you have assigned to yourself to feel at least some sense of accomplishment, such as: Writing reviews!
I call it productive procrastination.
I was looking for a fun cowboy romance and that's exactly what this book is. The characters are well-written (though probably more enjoyable after you have read the other two books in the series which I, of course, have not), the plot is fun and the characters' backstories are surprisingly deep and meaningful. Plus extra points for the reverse grovel.
All that is to say, I will probably have forgotten about the content of this book in less than a week.
I will, however, remember that I associate nothing but positive emotions with it, and when someone asks me I will very descriptively say " I liked it, it's great".
Opposites really attract in this cute cowboy romance!
Hannah is so proper (because of her past) but she’s sassy and made me actually laugh out loud at some of her bluntness! Hannah is full librarian mode, complete with 5 cats.
Zack is an ex bronc rider trying to figure out what to do with life post rodeo. He’s lighthearted on the outside but can’t resist Hannah even though she’s like nothing like the women he’s used to. Those ankles are 🔥🔥
I loved the humor, especially since some tough topics are brought up I needed the cute banter to counter the heaviness of some parts.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: Small town romance Reformed playboy “Good boy Religious trauma Opposites attract
Loved this book. If I could give it more stars I would. The romance was a beautiful, funny, heartfelt journey and both MCs were *chef's kiss* absolutely perfection.
Hannah was my favorite type of heroine. A little naive, big heart, smart, a little quirky but she surprised me with her bold attitude. She was a perfect blend of worldly and innocent. Having grown up in a polygamist compound, she's survived a lot and her way of thinking is different because of those experiences. She was awesome and I love her. Not only is she a baddie but she's a bookworm at heart. She gets all the stars!!!
And of course, there's Zack. He was so freaking loveable. I honestly fell for him almost immediately. The way he let down his guard for Hannah, the fact that he had to try so hard to NOT notice Hannah only to never be able to convince himself because he was ALWAYS aware of her! Nothing gets me as easily as a confirmed bachelor falling first and falling hard and Zack checked all my boxes!
There is so much the blurb doesn't cover but that's the best part of reading a book. The surprises and deeper moments of reflection that makes the story more meaningful. Our girl, Hannah, definitely gets this!
I laughed, cried and blushes all through this and I know I'm going to be reading this one again and again. I highly recommend this one. Top reads of 2025. I'm off to buy my physical copy because this one needs to be sitting on my shelf, at arms reach so I can read it whenever I want! haha.
Some books were a discovery. A new viewpoint, a new world, a new emotion. Other books were a warm hug. Plenty of books were both.
Favorites Bits: 🖤 Hannah Bell, she was a great character. I loved everything about her. Her love of books slayed me! 🖤 Zack, he was a romantic at heart and I loved him! His obsession with her ankles! 🖤 Magic Dick Energy 🖤 His "cute aggression for her 🐈" 🖤 Hannah Bell's brother and Mercy River Ranch (I hope there's a book/series of them!) 🖤 The cats - We share the same love of this series and her cat names were spot on!
Starting the book, on the 1st day I got about 23% in and had to put it down bc I thought to myself “what in the world? But I’m glad I picked it back up because this story turned out to be so beautiful. Not for only one character but both, hurt and growing and coming together (no pun intended I swear.) and with the way the first part went I was a bit disappointed because I was just in a mood for something smutty, well let me tell you…Elizabeth did not disappoint! I also, learned something new. I didn’t realize bull and bronc riding was completely different. Also really happy about our furry friends HEA.
Zack was your golden retriever MMC who was always down to help anyone who needed it. After losing his mom to cancer, he took it upon himself to be whatever his family needed him to be. The one who could make light of any situation, making sure everyone in his family was happy so they wouldn't fall apart further. And along the way, he kept neglecting his feelings, needs, and emotions. But when an accident ended his career as a bronc rider, the sport he'd dedicated his life to, so suddenly, he felt beaten down physically, emotionally, and mentally, feeling lost and directionless, which affected the state of his mental health.
Hannah is relatively new to town, after having escaped from an abusive situation. She reaches out to Zack and asks him to help her with setting up a charity rodeo event to raise funds for the library she works at. There is attraction, yes, which only grows the more time they spend together, but Hannah has her reservations when it comes to physical intimacy due to her past. Which is also why she feels like she's broken. Given her upbringing and the beliefs that were instilled in her, it took immense courage to escape and start over in a completely foreign environment, and I admired her for that.
This book does contain themes like su*cidal thoughts, child marriage, religious trauma, s*xual assault on a minor, death of a parent, and also delves into the horse sl@ughter industry so please check the TW/CW before you pick this up.
These topics, in my opinion, were handled well, and both characters had to go through their journey and self-reflection. I liked the fact that Hannah's trauma wasn't brushed away the minute the MCs got together, but it was a work in progress, which felt realistic since years of trauma don't go away overnight. And I loved how Zack took his time with Hannah so as to not spook her, reassured her every step of the way, and paid attention to what was working for her and changed his approach accordingly. All of this with the sole intention of helping Hannah realize she wasn't broken. I also loved that Zack eventually realized that seeking out help wasn't a sign of weakness but in fact needed a lot of strength and conviction to put yourself in a vulnerable position to start the healing process.
I also loved the ease they felt with each other. The banter between them kept me entertained. What I also loved about their relationship is how Zack always made Hannah feel truly comfortable in her clothes but also gave her the confidence that she could experiment with whatever she wanted to, and he'd be by her side to make sure no one made her feel uncomfortable or made unnecessary moves. I also loved how they complemented each other with how one person stayed calm and took up the initiative of working things out while the other was freaking out about something.
I also liked the intimacy between Zack and Hannah, which was also a vital part of the book without it feeling overwhelming or insensitive. The emotional connection between them gradually grew, which was reflected in their intimacy, so that was also something I liked.
The plot around Hurricane Red and the light being shed on the reality of the horse sl@ughter industry was truly heartbreaking and enraging to say the least. But I loved the extent they went to to rescue him. Saving Hurricane Red felt like saving himself in a way, and Zack and I could totally see where he was coming from. I also loved the way the horse trusted Zack and followed his lead.
The side characters were great supporting characters who were truly present for both Hannah and Zack. The bond between Zack and his siblings was something I liked, be it the fighting over dumb things or being there for each other in the time of need. Similarly, the girl gang was so supportive of Hannah and made her feel seen and comfortable, which meant so much to her given her upbringing and her yearning to form true and reliable friendships.
Thank you to Elizabeth Bright and Luna Literary for providing me with the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
★★★★. Thank you to the author and Luna Literary for this ARC! There will be some spoilers (very minor) so read at your own risk! This book does handle “cult talk, sexual assault of a minor and parent death so please know going into this book those topics are being discussed.
With that, I did really enjoy this book. It was my first time reading this author and her writing was done so well. The banter of Zack and Hannah was so cute. I loved how blunt she was and how he knew every little detail about her. The reason for this not being five stars was because of the constant mentioning of his sexual past. I got it after the first two chapters but all the way to the third act? It wasn’t needed anymore. I do wish the author wrote more on Zack’s mom because he obviously still was hurt over that.
Zack and Hannah both had sad pasts that they had to come to terms with. Zack’s included a rodeo accident and his mom dying. He covered everything with humor so seeing him come to terms with it and how it affected him mentally really was done well. Him going to therapy to help was amazing. Whereas, Hannah’s was being raised in a cult and marrying someone when she was child. The author did really well with writing Hannah’s story and her healing from that. I did like how her trauma from that wasn’t all the way healed and she was still getting help from her therapist. Huge thanks to the author for putting both characters using therapy to help them.
Zack always saw Hannah and I loved him looking twice at her for him to know she was to good for him. Once he got her though, that was it. He was all in. He made sure she knew it too not so subtly, but subtly enough to not scare her away. I loved how he knew she was comfortable in her clothing and wanted her to dress that way and if she wanted to branch out, he’d be there to support her. Hannah seeing Zack past his humor and allow him to be himself was so cute. I do think their relationship was built a lot, but also a lot of was sex. Which made sense since the plot was her getting lessons on how to orgasm. What I truly loved was that she wasn’t a virgin or inexperienced. She had her boyfriends and knew stuff just couldn’t get there. I did love the ending scene when he said he’d never ask her to marry him and just do it because of her trauma. He knows her so well inside and out.
For my safety gang, this is relatively safe. Zack was a manwhore in his past and it is mentioned throughout from both himself and Hannah. It’s known to everyone he slept around and has been with thousands of woman. He doesn’t regret it, but it didn’t mean anything to him. Hannah wasn’t bothered by it. There’s no scenes or anything, just two jealousy moments, but barely anything there. Hannah had boyfriends in the past that get mentioned maybe once. Her sexual history is normal (I guess, not a virgin), but her lack of orgasms was due to a childhood sexual assault.
“I laughed. “I’ve never said no to you, Hannah Bell, and if you ever ask me that question, it sure as hell won’t be when I start. She smiled and leaned into me. “Someday. “Someday, I agreed. Someday was a beautiful dream. But right now we had today, and today was pretty damn perfect. And together we watched the stars

Imma hold your hand when I say this but.. be prepared to have your standards raised. Because Zack Hale, you are sweeping me off my feet like lightning. She had you at "Mr.Hale"? Daddy, you had ME at "for equality and shit". Ha.. yeah, that smart mouth always get the feelings done. But hey! Who would've thought you have such an interesting character development?
Reformed playboy type of character always makes me uneasy. Sure, I love it when they change for the better but we don't know if the authors are going to torture us by playing with our feelings a little bit and make them relapse. BUT THANK YOU ELIZABETH FOR NOT BREAKING MY HEART.
The main characters on this book represent two sensitive natures. Mentally, Zack is clearly not okay. I feel like he keeps his thoughts to himself and maybe brood whenever he's alone. So to numb his feelings, he shifts to alcohol. And it's really sad to see him thinking he needs to put his issues aside and plays the role as the happy-go-lucky in any setting he's in because "it's what everybody needs". That's where Hannah comes with a cool, badass logic plus attitude. I like how firm she is on the things that should be done. She feels reliable but we know sometimes it can also be a facade. Her past angers me. It's so messed up (a personal take because cases like that happen in real life) and she gets to where she currently is because of her own strength which I'm so proud of. On a side note though, Hannah amazes me for taking the first initiative. Like.. okay girlie, you put those books to great use! Role model at best.
This book is such a pleasure to read. I love the story-- always love road trips plus a little bit of heist. I love to see them coming face-to-face with their own demons and fight them together. The spicy scenes are STEAMING. There's just something with the way they're written that made me taking a deep breath. Every. Single. Time.
Thank you to the team at Luna and Elizabeth for the ARC💚

Meet Hannah, a librarian obsessed with her books, owns five cats and dresses in skirts down to the floor, and a genuinely lovely beautiful woman. Enter Zach, our cowboy who fights, drinks and is a man carved by the Greek gods. Two complete opposites, of course make for a steamy and beautiful story.
Hannah enlists Zach on a charity project for the library, something he knows oh too well. A rodeo. Saddle up girls it’s about to get a whole lot of yeehaw in here😍🤠 But when the two are working closely together, Hannah has another little project she needs help on, and thinks Zach is the perfect man to do it. So she invites him in for “coffee and it gets HOT!!!! Spice lessons are SPICING!!!
“Eyes on me Hannah. Only me 🫠
I loved the way Hannah was still in control, and Zach was so eager to give her everything she needed and reassure her that she was always safe. And that man🥵 The praise SWEET LORD🤤 The spicy scene in the library was equally hot and stunning, Zach and Hannah were both truly in the moment staring into eachothers souls😭
The mental health rep for both MC’s was done so well, and the impact past trauma has had on them was portrayed throughout. I loved how both Zach and Hannah helped each other through their struggles🥺
There’s a “let’s go save a horse road trip, kitty cats galore and lots and lots of wild, wild cowboy moments 😍
Wild, Wild Cowboy by Elizabeth Bright was everything I love in a small-town romance—funny, emotional, spicy, and packed with all the warm fuzzies and heartache that make you feel like your chest might actually explode. Zach is such a golden retriever of a man—charming, goofy, flirty as hell, and oh my God, the way he is just feral over Hannah’s ankles?? I was HOWLING. But beneath all the playful banter and wink-wink cowboy swagger, he’s carrying a lot of pain. And the way he shows up for Hannah, how tender and patient he is with her? That’s the kind of love that wrecks you in the best way. Hannah is a buttoned-up, book-loving, embroidery-obsessed librarian with a haunted past and five cats. So yeah, obviously I was obsessed. I felt so connected to her. She’s reserved and proper but she’s also got this sharp wit and quiet fire that totally catches Zach off guard. Watching her step into her own and open up to love (and some spicy lessons, hello??) was so rewarding.
This story has depth. It tackles trauma, loss, and vulnerability without ever feeling heavy. The way these two communicate, the way they see each other—it’s intimate and soft and so, so real. And when the third-act breakup hit? Yeah, I wanted to throw my Kindle. But the grovel?? Chef’s kiss. Zach did not come to play. I laughed, I cried, I blushed hard, and I absolutely devoured this in one sitting. And if this is your first Elizabeth Bright book too? Welcome to the fan club. You’re gonna want the rest of the series immediately. The vibes it gives: 🧲 Opposites Attract 🤠 Small Town Cowboy 🌼 Wallflower x Rake 🌶 Spice Lessons ❤️ He Falls First and Falls Hard 🧑🧑🧒 Found Family
This book hooked me instantly a Libarian and an ex-Rodeo star! What's not to love Hannah Bell is the librarian in the small town of Aspen Springs Colorado. Zack Hale was a Bronc rider until a serious injury put an end to that. Hannah enlists Zack's help to put on a Rodeo to help fundraise for the library. I adored this book the story hooks you. Hannah is a bad ass who has gone through some heavy shit and survived. She's a straight shooter and doesn't bow to convention but can needlecraft and read smut like it's no one's business. She has that whole commune escapee vibe going. Zack is injured and is trying to work out plan B now his Rodeo career is over (he didn't really expect a plan B) he's got a rep as a bit of a player and doesn't really take anything seriously. Plus, he's always up for a fight! Hannah and Zack are both beautifully broken and actually see each other! Hannah can see through Zacks clown attitude and gets him to be honest with her in a way he wasn't expecting. Zack teaches Hannah how to get out of her head in the bedroom and achieve the elusive O. Plus he challenges her to get out of her shell. These two together shouldn't work but the chemistry explodes off the page. Please read the trigger warnings before diving into this book some of the themes are HEAVY but they have been done with grace.
Wild Wild Cowboy by Elizabeth Bright is the 3rd book in the Lodestar Ranch series. This book takes you on a roller coaster of emotions from laughing, crying, and swooning moments that just makes you want to devour this book in one sitting.
Hannah is the librarian in the small town of Aspen Springs that is all in for making the community library all that it can be while still healing from her past. She goes to the library for work, her sewing circle, and then home to her 5 cats. She is happy with her life but not fully satisfied (if you know what I mean 😉). To help raise money for the library due to budget cuts, she wants to plan a benefit rodeo to help improve the community. Enter Zach, the rodeo cowboy who is always the life of the party and with the girls. Little did she know that he was fighting daily with his trauma from an accident that altered his life. After agreeing to help her with the rodeo, Hannah realized she wanted to satisfy her other needs in the bedroom. Would Zach be able to let her feel and get past her roadblock in her mind? Enter a road trip! But did she know that she would also be saving him from himself in the long run?
Grab a glass of wine and a fluffy blanket for the perfect librarian/ cowboy romance ever.
This is my first read by Elizabeth, and I loved it so much that I’ve downloaded the first two books in the series (all interconnected standalones).
Hannah & Zack are honestly couple goals. They are both dealing with some serious trauma and trying to figure where they wanted to be/who they wanted to be.
Despite that trauma they were so supportive of each other and built such a fun, understanding relationship. I loved their dynamic and chemistry.
I’m saying this now I love Zack so much!
There’s so much action in this plot with rodeo planning, then a horse rescue road trip and all the romance. It’s fast paced and once you start reading you can’t stop.
I do want to add that this book touches on some heavy topics. Please read the trigger warnings before you start. While the book the story doesn’t go into heavy detail it is still a main aspect throughout the plot.
I really had a fun time reading this. I giggled and swooned, almost cried a few times too. I definitely recommend!
Thank you so much to Elizabeth Bright and Luna Literacy for a chance to read and review this ARC.
Wild, Wild Cowboy! Wow I LOVED THIS! This book starts off strong and continues that way throughout. I was concern reading the premise that the FMC would be shy and meek but she was strong and not afraid to speak her mind! I love the different dynamics between Hannah and Zack. Zack is your typical cheeky, loveable rodeo star but he’s struggling since his accident. Hannah isn’t just a shy librarian/cat lady she has spark and isn’t afraid to go after what she wants. I loved that Elizabeth showed the duality of these characters so well. Zack is such a fun character and who turns into a teddy bear for her 😍
These books are true standalones within a series. I wasn’t confused by any character or lost with the storylines. However I will be adding the other books to my TBR because I enjoyed this so much.

Back in Lodestar like I ain’t ever left! And I am so so happy to have read this story. We meet shy but also mysterious librarian Hannah in book 1. From her introduction I knew I wanted a story about her. As a non local to Lodestar, she still served such a prominent role in the community and her fitting into Essie and James’s girl gang so easily.
The one thing that I loved the most about Hannah, was when she knew what she wanted she went out and got it. And thats exactly what she needed Zack for. But what was even better was the mutual need that they actually had for each other. The more time they spent together, the more they actually depended on each other as their safe space and I loved that. I liked that Zack had his own things that he needed to work through and was actually willing to do so not just for him but to prove to Hannah the kind of man he was.
There’s a vital character backstory behind Hannah and I think Elizabeth did such an amazing job at navigating Hannah’s reclaiming of her life and working through her trauma. This book really makes you double take the characters because they really aren’t what they’re initially perceived as and Elizabeth did such an amazing job at giving both Hannah and Zack very real lives and backstories.
This sweet relationship between Zach and Hannah! I loved it. These two both had trauma to overcome and I really liked how supportive and non-judgemental they were with each other. They took it easy, letting that part of them come out when they were ready.
I thought Zach was sweet and sexy and really just wanted to go on Hannah's timetable. Hannah was so fierce and sweet - she may have been a librarian but she had a wild side too. Their spicy scenes were perfect!
The banter between Zach and his brothers is everything! These guys are so fun together.
I really enjoyed this book a lot and although I've jumped into the series a few books in, it was easy to follow and keep up.
The characters were so relatable, the story was engaging and I want more of Aspen Springs & Lodestar. This book will totally put you in your cowboy era!
Thank you to Luna Literacy & the author for the ARC of this story.
OOOOOO my favorite one yet!!!!! There was something so special about Hannah and Zack both together and individually. Hannah was literally sunshine personified. I LOVED her!!!! Growing up the way she did in a literal cult, I think she carried herself so amazing. And Zack was a literal angel taking time with her. I think my favorite part was when Hannah brought up how they were friends, and that’s why their relationship was so easy. Because while reading you could feel the love even as friends they had for each other. You can tell that was new to Zack and that made it that much more special.
Huge, HUGE thank you to Elizabeth and her team for the arc! I am SOOOOOO enjoying this series!!!!
“Someday was a beautiful dream. But right now we had today, and today was pretty damn perfect.
I devoured this book! This is my first from the author and now I need to go back and read all the others!
There are some heavy topics within this book, but they are handled so gently and with so much care. I really appreciated the way the author did it. There was something so special about Hannah and Zack as individuals. Hannah had been through so much in her life and Zack handled her with such care and patience, giving her the space she needed to come to terms with what they were really doing together.
Hannah is fierce and doesn’t let her past define her. She’s not afraid of saying what she wants, even though sometimes it isn’t always received in the best way. I admired the palpable friends to lovers feel throughout the book, we really got to grow with them and watch them bloom.
We have to protect Zack at all costs! He was so admirable. The way Hannah cared for him which in turn made him take care of himself was my favorite. All the little side stories and quests added depth and even suspense to the story which I loved!
Overall, this was an easy 5 star read for me. I would HIGHLY recommend to all my cowboy loving besties who also enjoy a friends to lovers with well done mental health rep!
Thank you so incredibly much to the author and Luna Literary for the ARC of this book! 🫶🏻
I loved the book, absolutely loved it. WHERE IS THE EPILOUGE?! DO THEY GET MARRIED YES OR NO I NEED TO KNOW 😫 Anywho um yes loved very much, Zack and Hannah are perfectly broken people whose broken parts fit together to make a heart and i loved seeing their love story. I do have to agree with Hannah that 1 month is crazy for a casual marriage proposal but also I understand why she freaked out. I also liked her bringing long skirts back, I can also picture what she might look like with a long skirt and my brain is confused but also ex cult members deserve to get fucked too! Thank you to Luna Literary and Elizabeth Bright for allowing me to ARC read, Elizabeth girl blink twice if Hannah asks Zach to marry her 🤨 are you blinking?
Wild Wild Cowboy is a fun, swoony cowboy romance with lots of banter and heart.
Zack is a rugged, broody cowboy. He's reluctant to open his heart but totally helpless against the sunshine-y force of nature that is Hannah. I love their push-and-pull dynamic. The story is packed with tension and laugh out loud moments, making the slow burn romance all the more satisfying. The small town charm, quirky characters, and gossiping neighbors make the story feel like home.
If you love grumpy cowboys, strong FMC, and a love story filled with tension, humor, and heart, this one’s worth the read! (and grumpy cowboys will always have my heart!)
4.5⭐️. Loved this story. There was something so refreshing about Hannah and Zack. Zack was so charming from the beginning. The banter was so fun and the way they communicated with each other was so open and honest. The spice was spicing 🥵. Who doesn’t love the “teach me trope?! 😮 I was living for the running joke about her ankles turning him on 😆. Loved the mental health representation. The balance between hard topics while also keeping things fun and lighthearted was perfect. This was my first book by Elizabeth Bright and I’m looking forward to reading more of this series!
Oooooh I love them. Love love love. Zack and Hannah are everything. Their easy banter, their honest conversations, their chemistry. They had both been such fun, standout secondary characters in the first two books of this series, but they surpassed all expectations the minute they got to tell their stories.
Hannah’s personality is so refreshing and clear. Zack is an absolute delight. They both had me laughing numerous times. And all the fun romance book throw ins from the names of Hannah’s cats to the library scene, to the groveling I loved them.
