The subtitle is an accurate description of what you can expect here: a personal and honest account of psychological healing. It is well written. However, in case you already have some first hand experience with MKP, Women Within, Gestalt, family constellations etc., you will find nothing new in this book.
It is a good book and I enjoyed reading it. Some chapters were thought-provoking and captivating and I'm excited to do the exercise in chapter nineteen as soon as I feel ready for it.
I'm especially fascinated about the model provided, it really called out to me. I will go back to it if I need to take a breath and look at things from a new perspective.
I've only read this once so far and although the exercises she describes are well-known to me (and anyone who's ever read Fritz Perls and company), the reminder that these are useful in personal development is helpful, and her story is interesting.
Actually, now that I page through the book I am reminded that her work also reminds me of the making of rituals for ourselves. And that has often been a profound experience for me.
