I was a little disappointed with this book. It is rather out-dated, assuming that most people still use a 35mm camera. But I do applaud the author for taking some decent pictures throughout this book--all with just a 35mm camera. Many pictures did just look like snapshots however, even though he took advantage of good light and framing. This book has some good tips if you know absolutely nothing about photography and aren't looking to be a necessarily fabulous photographer. This book is simply what the title implies--how to take better pictures (snapshots) of your kids with just a simple point-and-shoot camera. He covers just basic things like using filler flash and making sure your subject fills your frame. Just really basic stuff if you know absolutely nothing about photography.
