To Have and to Master

Rate this book
Tired of his mother bugging him to marry a nice girl from the old country, Konstantin agrees to meet her friend’s daughter when she’s shipped over from rural Russia.

Naturally obedient and submissive, Varushka is everything Konstantin wants in a woman. The fact that she’s so naive and easily scandalized arouses him but makes him feel guilty. Training the girl to be his slave quickly becomes a compulsion.

Varushka is confused by a lot of things in America, especially by her future husband and his sexual depravity. Sinister and captivating, Konstantin introduces her to many fascinating perversions, and his care and attention wins her complete devotion. However, when her father finds out about Konstantin’s past, he whisks her back home. Will Varushka’s Master give chase to reclaim her, or will he allow her father to marry her off to a more respectable man?

4 STARS!!

Another surprise for me!! I've been waiting for Konstatin!! He's so... yum! Although honestly I didn't have a single imagination about what's he looks like but I know he's very handsome man. For me, he's like a real Dominant in their BDSM world. Not so much like Banner and Ambrose. I'm surprised I liked his story than his friends. Lmao!

Konstantin has to break-up BDSM relationship with his two girls because he's betrothed by an unknown Russian girl. He didn't know her at all beside from photo. He never think about married and babies because it scares him. Varushka just a common girl who got lucky to meet Konstantin through mutual friends; Konstantin’s grandma. At first glance, Konstantin know she born as submissive and what's the worst is she's vanilla. Well, maybe for a while. But Konstantin never thought Varushka to be her wife + submissive.

Konstantin already fascinated me with his lifestyle. He has two submissive and didn't mind for polyamory relationship in this case. He enjoyed his lifestyle very well and some people mentioned he's quite a sadist. But when Varushka come into his life with her innocence, Konstantin couldn't hold himself. His mind already triggered with her submissive's act every time. But he never think that he will 'train' her in the future. Otherwise, Varushka is a girl from small town like a Cinderella. She got the Prince Charming and his kingdom. Actually, I like her better than Kate and Everly. But she has some weak point like her constant unsure to have sex before marriage. Yeah, she's very religious about it although she didn't hypocrite to have sex with Konstantin. I could feel her struggle. But Konstantin handled it very well. He didn't rush and go with the flow. He didn't want her to be guilt about it. Aw... (But he give her so many organs LOL)

description

Unfortunately, their BDSM relationship has small portion. Almost half of the book focused to build their chemistry before they went into BDSM. Of course, it's about trust and connection. They didn't know each other so it's very important. I loved how Konstantin handle her curiosity and she didn't freak out. They're so cute together! The minus is Konstantin seems softer than before. He's still strict about having control as her Dom but he never show his sadist side to consider her feeling. Their relationship seems fun until the end. It was sexy and romantic.

description

What I liked the most is the lake scene. It was burning HOT in so many levels. I really do love Konstantin's dirty talk. Although the drama that 'cause they break for a while didn't convince me so much, the solution was too easy. It didn't reach my expectation but at least they have happily every after. To Have and to Master is the best book so far. I enjoyed their moment together :D

Oooo! So I was sent this ARC for possible blurbage, and I LOVED IT.Read it in one sitting (not hard to do when you are laid up like back troubles like I am right now). This was so great and just what it took to get me out of my reading slump. Konstantin owes his grandma (who is back in a poor part of Russia) and decides to let her pick out a bride for him - Varushka. Varushka is one of those wide-eyed innocents a la Julie Garwood that you SHOULD hate but you just can't. Seriously, she's adorable. And Konstantin is a dark eyed dom who wants to play very dirty games with her. There's a great thread of humor through the book that takes a lot of the darkness out of the storyline and makes it one of playfulness instead of heavy, deep BDSM. Some of the decisions that farmgirl Varushka makes crack me up (CHICKENS) and I loved the build up of their relationship. Suuuper sexy, too. Loved it! Just went and bought the first one and will be eagerly waiting for book two.

If you are one of my reading buddies that enjoys Cherise Sinclair, I think you'll like this!

Out of the Master’s Unleashed series, I have to say that I liked this one the best! All of Sparrow Beckett’s books in this series are entertaining and these three Doms, Ambrose, Banner and Konstantin are just plain fun. Getting to see them all again, as well as their women, was a real treat, and while this story can be read as a stand-alone, reading them in order just makes them that much better. It’s like getting to see old friends I haven’t seen in a while, and have missed.

Konstantin is my dream Dom. He’s handsome, wealthy, kinky, sweet and sexy as hell. Traveling to Russia to meet the woman his grandmother has chosen for him to marry, I thought this was a quaint and charming twist for such an unconventional man. His bride-to-be is a virginal farm girl, and the difference between the innocent Varushka and the worldly Konstantin makes him seem even more like a handsome big-bad-wolf. Yummy!

The drawback for me was Varushka herself. Don’t get me wrong; I did like her. She was too sweet and innocent not to like. It would be like trying to hate a cute little kitten. It’s just that the descriptions of how childlike in appearance she was made me uncomfortable. And I understand that she was trying to be portrayed as wide-eyed and inquisitive, but I almost felt as if she came from the out of the early 1900s, rather than just a small town in Russia. I kept getting a distinct “Fiddler on the Roof vibe from her, with her goats and chickens. And for a woman in her twenties, the whole issue of needing her family’s permission to wed was a bit over the top. She was a grown woman, not a child (despite appearances) and the fact that she was worried what would happen if her father didn’t give his blessing seemed a bit absurd. Again, I’m hearing “Sunrise, Sunset fiddled in the background.

However, while this may have distracted me, the sweetness and sexiness of the story drew me back in.

Reading this story, I found myself not wanting to get to the end because I genuinely liked these guys. This story was fun, didn’t take itself too seriously, and was an enjoyable way to spend a few hours.

A Joyous Return to Gut Wrenching Emotion but Gravely Disappointing in Execution<\strong>

I am unsure where to begin this review as I have mixed feelings about “To Have and to Master by the writing duo known as Sparrow Beckett.

This book is the third installment in Beckett’s Master’s Unleashed Series. It is the story of Konstatin, the orphaned, Russian born, custom car shop mogul, and best friend of Banner and Ambrose, in his journey to meet the young bride his grandmother has arranged for him in their Russian village. And the young bride herself, Varushka, an innocent, naive, outwardly timid twenty-one year old farm girl who is handpicked to be Konstatin’s wife in America. What follows is an emotional rollercoaster of doubt, insecurity, and longing, as Konstatin struggles to cope with incorporating a woman he views as an innocent, inexperienced, and extremely sheltered into his world of BDSM and more specifically D/s.

On one hand, it is a glorious return to the deeply emotional, tumultuous, and angst filled atmosphere of the first book, “Finding Master Right. Additionally, this book brings back the humor filled, emotionally pure, darkly rich D/s journey I was shown in the first with Banner and Kate, and sorely missed in the second with Ambrose and Everly’s story. Here again is a deeply touching story. A story about Konstatin’s struggle to accept the truth of Varushka’s true desires, as he stumbles with her lack of worldly experience and total virginity (both kink and vanilla). As well as, Varushka’s struggle to not only learn and understand American ways, but also to move past the strict religious indoctrination of her childhood so that she can fully learn the needs, desires, and sexual proclivities of her intended.

It is a joint struggle worthy of this series, and one that is a joy to watch as these two tempt the deep, almost visceral connection growing between them. It is also a joy to watch the ever confident and powerful Dom that is Konstatin, struggle with insecurity, true love, and rediscovering the gentleness within him. However, it is also a journey that takes a wildly dangerous jump in chapter ten, where the slow and clearly consensual introduction of D/s to Varushka suddenly disappears, replaced with a woman fully adopting a lifestyle mere sentences before she was still only dipping a toe into. And this, this is something that disturbed me greatly! It disturbed me not only because of the fact that it completely amputated a wonderful journey of growth and discovery, one that readers have waited several books to get to, and a journey that directly melds emotional understanding to future plot scenarios. But, it horribly blurred the line of consent and tipped uncomfortably toward the realm of coercion where Varushka is concerned, something that, in my opinion, was a dangerously careless turn to take.

Here, what I loved most about the first and second books, the conscious decision by the authors to show how true D/s relationships are plotted, planned, and discussed is abandoned. Here, the care with how this series was written to include real aspects of the day-to-day nature of BDSM, illustrating not just the sexual side of it all, but also the emotional, practical, and contractual side of as well, in order to clearly demonstrate how the BDSM lifestyle is always, ALWAYS fully consensual, is gone and replaced with innuendo and vague resolutions to decisions made off page.

It was a change in literary direction that left me stunned and asking aloud: why shift so radically within the installment that needs the clear line of growth and consent the most? And why cut Konstatin’s story so horrendously short?!? This exclusion of an entire section of their life together (a rather large section at that) stripped away the tiny emotional threads needed to fully see, feel, and understand the natural growth of their bond. It also stripped the readers ability to see, understand, and enjoy Varushka's growth as a woman learning about and coming into her own sexuality and sensuality. And instead leaves a cold, sick taste in your mouth as you are left wondering how and when Varushka jumps completely and wholeheartedly into being a sexual slave.

I have said this since book one, and it is the truest here, I love the depth of this series and had sky high hopes for it. But as each book has gone by I have come to despise the skip and jump writing style. The abrupt gaps between each and every chapter leave needed chunks of the story missing, greatly disturbing the flow of it overall. And nowhere has this skip and jump tactic destroyed a story more. It tainted Konstatin and Varushka’s story. It tainted Varushka’s journey through her own sexual awakening. It horribly stunted their love story overall, and didn’t even come close to giving it, it’s proper due. And worst of all, this book as a whole demonstrates why, in general, I dislike lengthy book series. As, it sadly demonstrates what I have said for years, that authors often release a phenomenal first book but then little by little, with each subsequent book that follows, stop striving to match the detail and quality of the first. As a result the emotional depth, and attention to detail suffers greatly and the characters and story world created become mere shells of themselves. And what remains are a bunch of unsatisfied readers who pine for the characters and interactions they were shown at the beginning.

It is an unwritten contract between author and reader that should be viewed as sacred, but more times than not, it isn’t even considered as authors turn their attentions to new projects yet continue to half-heartedly produce installments of past ones. And while I am sure there are a million reasons why an author would release additional books within a series that don’t have the same amount of effort or care put into them as the first; to me, the emotional reaction that instantly springs forth literary laziness, an assumption that readers will buy the books regardless because they liked the first one. And in many cases I am sure that’s the case, hell, I bought the first three of this series because of how much I liked the first one, so who am I to really judge there. But, it makes me angry nonetheless, and it makes me not trust the author, and unwilling to try later books published by them, as is most definitely the case here.

There are two other books within the Master’s Unleashed series beyond this one, but for me, this will be the end of my reading journey for this series.

Although this could be read as a standalone I recommend starting from the very beginning to get to know the characters.

In the previous book we learn that Konstantins grandmother wants him to marry and has arranged a marriage for him from his hometown in Russia. Although he has never met her he does have a picture of the woman who shall be his wife.

This story begins with Konstantin in Russia meeting his soon to be wife, Varushka for the first time. Varushka is impressed on how good looking and wealthy he is but as they get to know one another quickly she becomes entranced not only with him but in the world he belongs to.

When i started this I wasn't really sure what to think about this relationship that was growing. I like how Konstantin took the time to explain things to her, take her shopping and get her settled into to America. Varushka is a sweet innocent virgin that is learning what Konstantin likes. Little by little she discovers it is also what she likes and of course she wants to please her master.

This story had some humor added in. One of my favorite parts is when he comes home from being away on business to find chickens in his backyard. That scene is so cute and funny. They way the authors wrote this had me feeling like I was there looking on while this all played out.

The sex doesn't come right away which is fine with me because these two are entertaining enough without it. But when it does come all I have to say is wow! These two characters have a great chemistry for an arranged marriage and I'm truly glad it works out.

I really enjoyed seeing the other characters and them all hanging out and getting along. The guys give each other a hard time and the girls are pretty funny. While the relationship is growing between Konstantin and Varushka she is also making friends.

There isn't much drama in this story which was nice. The only issue is that Varushkas father has changed his mind and doesn't want her to marry him but to find out why you'll have to pick up this book.

Overall I have enjoyed not only this book but the previous books in this new series. We also meet a new character who knew Konstantin when he was younger and it looks like he will be getting a story. Hopefully we will continue to hear from the characters that started this series out.

I really wanted to like this one on account of the arranged marriage trope, but perhaps I'm not the sort of reader who can enjoy an extremely naive heroine.

Varushka comes to America after spending her entire twenty-one years on this earth in a small, Russian village. The things she was unknowledgeable about just became too much and made a bulk of the book slow down to a snail's pace for me. Plus the sudden mistrust of Kon by Varushka's parents seemed to come out of nowhere.

I did love Kon and his attentiveness and care for Varushka, but I just wished some aspects of her characterization were tempered a bit more.

Why are these book so good, it's not right?

I can't stop reading them but also I don't want to because I don't want them to end.

Typically with a book series the first one is great and after that they get a little off track or the characters because annoying. But each one just get better and better. Again when reading about Kon in the past to books I was not sure I would like him in his own book. Plus the whole arranged marriage can sometimes be a hit or miss. But OMG I love him and Varushka, why can book not be like life and just keep going for ever. Because not amount of pages or words would be enough. 😍😍

I felt Varushka was too innocent to be true. Are there people that ignorant in this day and age?
Also, Konstantin was a jerk. Just springing the lifestyle on her and expecting her to like it! Insane.

Other than that, the book was sweet. Lol.

**THIS IS A DNF REVIEW**

I really love this author. I was amazed and impressed with the previous two books. I told everyone I know about them - even people who don't read erotic romance or BDSM. But this book... This is the third installment in the Masters Unleashed series and I was beyond disappointed. I got to about 30% in this story and I was so bored and irritated that I had to quit.

I have no doubt that by the end of the book, the "heroine", Varushka, will be a totally amazing woman. But I found that I didn't give a damn after she bought chickens and built a chicken coop in the backyard of this millionaire/billionaire's house. I get that she was from a poor farming community in Russia. But she wasn't an idiot. She didn't turn her face to the left or right and see that no one else had chickens? Yes, I hated this book because of the chickens. Chickens are dirty and stink to high heaven. And she wanted them because they lay eggs!? Are you fucking kidding me. You have to be. And again, I get that she wanted to be useful because she doesn't like the idea of sitting around all day, being a kept woman. Got it. But chickens? Ugh. Forget it.

Konstantin was still a mystery to me. In the previous books, he changed women like most people changed their underwear. He seemed like a smart dude and I liked what little there was of him in the previous books. But now, he's going to LITERALLY get a mail-order Russian bride. -_-
Thank you, stereotypes, for preparing me for this mess of a book. If it was ever explained, I missed it but I just don't understand why he would want someone from Russia. Even more, why he would want someone who is so clearly ignorant of how modern America works (see my chicken rant above). She speaks very little English and she's just supposed to come over here and be happy? I can't even count how many ways Konstantin is a major dick because of that.

I have no idea about the Sexy Time in this EROTIC ROMANCE because there still hadn't been any sex yet by the time I quit. Varushka was a virgin. Like a seriously virginal virgin. Blushing at light kisses and touches on the hand. Holy Batman Balls, are you serious right now? Ugh, whatever. Their relationship was shit because he held all the power and she wandered around like a six-year old in a liquor store... wide-eyed and confused. No thank you.

As much as I fully hated this book, I still love this author. I'm going to buy whatever they do next. The first two books in this series were enough to keep me as a fan for at least a few more misses. I don't know to whom I'd recommend this book - I couldn't stand it and can't think of one nice thing to say about it. My advice would be to go back and read Book 1, . Now THAT book will blow your mind!

I loved the two first books, I finished them with a heart filled with love for every character, including Konstantin even though I am not generally a fan of the Womanizer Friend character, this book was one huge disappointment. I hate that I read a full BDSM book and my favorite parts of it were the interactions between the friend group, Varushka excluded. At some point I even started skipping pages until I found Ambrose's or Banner's name, that's how fucking bored I was.
I don't know if the authors of this massacre have any knowledge about Russian culture, if they do, I hated the way they depicted Varushka. If they don't, it's this close to being racially insensitive. Kon is already enough of a Russian cliché as it is, but they apparently felt an obligation to make his love interest the Orthodox Russian Girl who can drink bottles of Vodka without getting drunk. As a Slavic girl, I seriously hope that this book didn't make anyone think that girls like Varushka represent anything, it's rare to find a girl named Varushka, even more rare to find families who still plan arranged marriages. Needless to say I didn't like Varushka, she was boring as all living hell, what a huge let down to go from Kate and Everly to her.
And let's make something clear, the parts where the authors had to constantly remind us that Varushka looks young is GROSS. So we are supposed to picture in our head a guy like Kon that was described like a damn Russian mobster fucking a girl who looks underage ? and it's healthy and all good ?
Let me tell you something, Konstantin, fucking a girl who is legal but still looks underage is weird, and people who aren't in your friend group and don't know her age have every right to question your morals when you bring a girl who looks like a teenager to a BDSM pool party.
Because of all the times that Banner's and Ambrose were mentioned (along Everly and Kate) this book looked like a whole sequel to their books, which made it even more boring. I was so bored that I counted, Banner and Kate were mentioned 88 times, Ambrose and Everly were mentioned..... wait for it... 164 times! this book is 134 "Everly" 's from mentioning her name as much as in her own book. That's unbelievable.
To resume, this book was boring, insensitive, weird and gross, and once again, so boring that they had to mention side characters all the time, because Everly has more personality in her pinky finger than all of Varushka.

Awesome. This was a great book to finish out the series. After watching his two "brothers" find their perfect subs, it was time for Konstanin to settle down as well. This book some great emotion and really pulls the reader in to feel the emotions of the characters within. This book reminded me so much of my relationship with my Dom, the braty nature I have but also the way he can make me melt with just a look. It was bittersweet to finish the series but it was a great book to close up the story of the three main characters. Highly recommended to anyone who has read the other books in this series. Sparrow Beckett hit the mark yet again. A++++

Review for To Have and to Master by Sparrow Beckett

Well played Sparrow Beckett, well played.

To Have and to Master is the exact opposite of what I had expected. Throughout the series, Konstantin has been the dirtiest, kinkiest of the three friends. It made sense that this would be the dirtiest, kinkiest of the books as well, but surprisingly it wasn’t.

Was it dirty? Yes. Was it kinky? Hell yeah. Did Kon maintain the coldness he’d managed with all of his past relationships? Not even a little. Oh how the mighty crumble.

Varushka is a sweet country girl. Pure, hardworking, and nice. Genuinely nice. She doesn’t have a deceitful bone in her body. I thought that Kon was insane to give up the things he loved to have an arranged marriage with a completely innocent woman. She had no idea how things worked beyond the small Russian community she was from. It really felt like she was thrown to the wolves Konstantin being the worst of them all.

This is where Sparrow Beckett dropped the kink and gave this reader the kind of romance that makes her swoon. Serious swooning happened. For as hot as Banner was with his no nonsense mastering of Kate and Ambrose perfectly mastering Everly’s brattiness, Konstantin and his cautious approach to his little bird was pure perfection.

Varushka was naturally submissive and subconsciously picked up on Konstantin’s dominance. It made the boundaries that Kon had placed on himself become blurred. He asserted his dominance in slow, but steady increments. It was such a natural progression for the pair. My heart was bursting by the time she fully grasped the meaning and depth between a slave and Master.

To Have and to Master is a beautifully written storyline combining the perfect balance of BDSM and sweet romance. Konstantin was a pleasant surprise and I’m sad to have finished the book so quickly. I just couldn’t put it down.

Five Swooning Stars and Five Drenched Panties.

Really almost 4.5 - this one was the best of the series. I liked that this finds Konstantine - who up until now has been a little over the top usually with 2 girls at a time - being pressured into a 'mail-order bride' by his grandmother. Varushka is a sweet, innocent girl from a small Russian town and Kon is immediately smitten. She appeals to his dom side - he wants to protect her and corrupt her. Varushka is attracted to him and she has some innate submissive tendencies that Kon encourages. There are plenty of humorous situations and some tender and steamy ones as well. Kon is patient and very, um, instructive in all areas. The only thing that I found less than believable was the machinations that Varushka's family employs to get her to return to Russia (after setting up this arrangement). Puh-leese. This is a grown woman - I get that she wants to please her family, but grow a spine. Otherwise I loved this - it was a good conclusion to the series.

I would have DNFd this if I hadn’t paid the $5 for it

It’s not necessarily a bad story and it’s certainly not written poorly, but it just wasn’t for me. It has basically every single trope I dislike and some I don’t usually dislike but hated in this:

- virgin FMC but make it extreme (she’s so sheltered she doesn’t even think oral sex is real 🙃)
- arranged marriage (that felt like a mail order bride)
- surprise pregnancy right there at the end
- age gap - the age gap itself isn’t bad (only 7-8 years) but it’s the fact that she’s SO naive she acts like a small child

I love the kink and BDSM that Sparrow Beckett/Sorcha Black writes but this one just gave me the ick. Varushka is so naive and lacks so much common knowledge that the whole thing felt really predatory and creepy. I just couldn’t get into it. I know they make a big show of her falling in love w Kon etc but from someone who acts like a 12yo girl most of the time I just couldn’t believe it. It almost felt like she couldn’t actually consent to anything that went on because she was so sheltered and naive and she will do literally anything to please him, lest she go back to her life living in basically poverty. Like ???? Ick 😰

Kon feels suitably guilty at the end and I feel like that was the most appropriate response for him to have.

To Have and To Master is the 3rd book in the Masters Unleashed series and it's the one I was waiting for. Konstantin is wanting a family of his own, just like Banner and Ambrose. He see their love for their women and he wants it too. There are two problems. One...the other women that he has had are not shaped to be a good wife so he asks for his grandmas help and he decides to marry a woman in her village where she is lives in Russia. Two...he is a very kinky man and even know it is his pleasure to teach his new wife what he enjoys he is afraid that he will scare her off with her being innocent. Varushka is smitten with him and wants to make him happy. Will Konstantin be able to seduce her to his kinky/BDSM side?

I enjoyed the story. To me it was hotter in the sexual tension department than the other two more because Varushka is an innocent girl with no knowledge of anything sexual. It was refreshing to read her POV when it came to that. Konstantin was patient with her but when push came to shove he did thins absolutely right in my opinion when it was time to show her all the things he liked. Was freaking hot in my book! I liked the storyline, different than what I had read before. A refreshing change. I liked that Banner, Kate, Ambrose and Everly had their parts in the story. It brought some more depth to it.

I'm a big fan. I can't wait for more!!

I love this book. I mean I really, REALLY REALLY love this book. It's the best book in the Master's Unleashed series and like they say, save the best for last.

I know in my reviews in the previous books I raved about how much I love Kate and Banner. How they're so freaking adorable and I want to hear more about them. Then I was introduced to Everly and Ambrose and then I was all "Kate and Banner who?" because Everly is just amazaballs. Then, I get to read about the hot sexy Russian Konstantin(which by the way ladies, I have called dibs so hard nobody else will be able to ever have him)and Varushka. And well, I need more Konstantin and Varushka NOW!

And I'm not joking about that Sparrow Beckett. I know you are working on a new series that I am very, very excited about, but I really wanna another book about Konstantin and Varuska. I would say if you don't I'll never read another book that you write, but we totally know that's an empty threat and not gonna happen.

I fell in love with these characters. At first, I wasn't sure how I felt about Konstantin, but really that quickly changed as I read. I found myself completely immersed in the story and came out of it kicking and screaming. By the time I was at the end, there was one of those goofy smiles on face and a bit of a sadness that it was over.

Oh gosh, this was simply the best book in this trilogy by Sparrow Beckett! Konstantin was a bit elusive in the other books, always appearing very hands over; therefore, I was excited to finally get his story, as I knew he would fall hard.

Varushka is quite the character - for someone so tiny, she really packs a punch I loved the cultural element that she and her family brought to the story. It was definitely not the norm that Konstantin was used to and seeing him struggle a bit was quite comical at times. Konstantin and Varushka together make for some explosive scenes!

I seriously loved this one, and I cannot wait to see what Sparrow Beckett comes up with next. This series only got stronger with each book, making me fall a little more in love.

I THINK this was my favorite of the three Masters Unleashed books. Of course I say that after reading each one so I can't wait to see what Sparrow Beckett comes out with next. I wanted to kidnap Konstantin and keep him all to myself. Varushka was perfect for him. I loved her Russian family dynamic and how it played into the story. I also liked that Konstantin pulled himself from a checkered past and that his past continued to haunt him. This book deserves more than five stars and I'm a huge fan of the series and authors.

I really liked the beginning of this book and thought there was a lot of potential to explore Varushka gradually discovering the BDSM world and that she might enjoy it. But after a bit of that, it suddenly jumps to her being all in, completely open and trying everything under the sun. If the development had been spread out a bit more, I would have enjoyed it more. Sex scenes, as always with Sparrow Beckett, are very hot.

Another great one from Sparrow!

I thought Banner and Kate was good. Then I thought Ambrose and Everly were great. But Konstantin & Varushka are amazing. Corruption fantasies def hold a new appeal. Great job Sparrow!

It was stupid and boring. A novel that is trying to be something that isn’t. Varushka is so naive, it’s pathetic. A kindergartener will be smarter than the MC. What a waste. I wish I read it right away after I bought it so I can return it for refund!

As with book 2, I "read" this through audio, not that it has any bearing on anything.

I started at book 2, not realizing this was a series, so I'm still working on book 1.

This one was a bit odd.

In book 2, Konstantin seems to be the prototypical hedonist, two women at all times, willing to do anything he demands of them. Then, at the end of that book, he gets word from his grandmother that she has arranged for him to meet with a girl from his home village in Russia, the ultimate intended goal being marriage.

Book 3 has him meeting the girl, Varushka, back home in the little town he grew up in until he came to America. He's something of a legend there, because he's the hometown boy who made good, and is responsible for sending money home for the betterment of the people there.

Varushka is 21, but looks much younger because of the way her body is built and the way she presents herself. There are a couple episodes through the story where that comes into play. Nevertheless, Konstantin hauls her off to America for a healthy dose of culture shock.

Here's where things get particularly implausible, or at least, they stretch credulity some. Apparently Varushka's village is way out in the sticks, because she hasn't seen TV, and she holds onto some very 19th century attitudes. The wanting to keep busy and prove her use made some sense, but I thought turning Konstantin's place into a farm was a bit much. Even so, though, some of that stuff did make me chuckle, so I guess it wasn't all a loss.

In any event, he takes the country bumpkin in to get city clothes, because all she owns is sturdy, worn, and decidedly un-sexy. While Varushka originally pushes for utilitarian garb, she does take to wearing the kinds of things Konstantin prefers - if a little too quickly. And when he takes her to meet his friends and their ladies/subs, she's shocked, but it didn't seem she was quite as shocked as she should have been.

Given his freewheeling ways in book 2, Konstantin suddenly becomes an entirely different person in book 3. He's more feeling and cognizant of Varushka's hesitance, and refuses to take her virginity "until she's ready." While he was a much more likeable character here, having found a soul, it was such a 180 from the previous book, that I had a hard time believing he was the same person.

So, Varushka is intrigued by the things the other boys' women are telling her, and she insists that Konstantin introduce her to what he likes. I had a difficult time deciding if her natural acceptance of most of the power exchange was due to an old-world, small-town, 19th century type attitude that women should defer to their men, because the "natural submissive" is way too convenient and lazy.

Anyhow, Papa has suspicions of how Konstantin managed to make so much money in America, which sets the stage for the "will their relationship survive this revelation?" bit. After the two lovebirds devote themselves to each other, both romantically and as dominant/submissive, Varushka gets called back home on false pretenses, where she's informed that at one point in his career, Konstantin was a car thief. He's of course clean these days, that stage of his life past, because he needed to survive in those early times.

Eventually, it's revealed that Varushka is pregnant, even though precautions were taken. Konstantin is genuinely delighted, even though Varushka is afraid it will end things between them. The authors obviously couldn't think of a way to confront Papa's reaction to this, because shortly after Konstantin finds out, he and Varushka are getting married (no shotgun). Happily ever after.

I think the least plausible part of the story was Varushka's complete ignorance of the 20th and 21st century toward much of the beginning of the book. Next was how readily she jumped into D/s with little judgment, considering her religious upbringing. Nevertheless, it was a romp.

Constantine and Varushka. They are both so cute with Russian accents, and this book was a different way of reading BDSM from this series. I am glad to have read through this story!!!

The answering grin on her face warmed him even more. He’d never really been attracted to women who could be classified as adorable, but maybe he’d been choosing wrong all these years. Adorable was... adorable.

Varushka made me laugh each time she spoke, she is so f adorable and made me HAHAHAHAHAHAHA hysterically, and she must be the MOST hilarious heroine I have ever read. She is so unique and so sweet and puzzled at the same time—everything she said and behave to be so cutest and naive as hell.

With her, he wanted to seduce her and defile her, but also wanted to protect her from being sullied by himself and his world. Thoughts of good and evil, of selfishness and altruism, funneled through him. He knew he couldn’t have both, and yet wanted both desperately.

Konstantin loved her spirits, happiness, and kindness from her deep heart. There is no way he can deny Varushka. I love the baby steps he leads her. He never pushes her. Instead, he protects her so much and never hurts her.

She was his, even if the details hadn’t been sorted out yet. His body had been denied a woman so long that it was getting impatient. He forced the urges back. Rushing things wouldn’t be good for her, and he was more protective than he was impatient.

It is so cute between them, the Chemistry is so strong and it happened so naturally, making everything just so adorable.

It was ridiculous, really. After everything they’d done together, it wasn’t being cut off from sex that bothered Konstantin. He just wanted to hold her and kiss her pretty face—to hear her talk and laugh.

They weren’t children anymore, but the attempted rendezvous felt clandestine. He’d never had to do this as a teenager. By the time he’d gotten girl-crazy, he hadn’t had parents to hold him back.

Plots twist for the last few chapters, but it still went well and satisfied me about how Konstantin made his choice. As soon as he knew Varushka was devastated and heartbreaking, he left everything behind and stopped thinking how much he didn't deserve her. Even he hesitated, he still was learning hkwbtk love a girl like Varushka.

Varushka looked at him and grinned, her eyes shining. “Am I going to need my safeword while we’re on this detour, Master?
“A-ڳܳ쾱Բ-ܳٱ.

I love this story so much. AND HERE COMES THE HAPPY ENDING.♥️

The Delight
The trio of Doms have met their match with women who sizzle and challenge all they know. Banner and Ambrose are finally settled in with one woman who lights their fires. NowKonstantin has given up his slaves and is ready to meet the woman his grandmother has chosen for him back in rural Russia. Will she be submissive or will this marriage be doomed before it begins?Varushka is a delight! Innocent, naive, but oh so willing to learn about this new world Konstantin is introducing her into. Read my review for more!

Review
Konstantin is the last bad boy from this trio of friends to take a chance on love. His grandmother (not mother from the blurb) is pressuring him to settle down and marry a nice girl from Russia. Wanting to please his grandmother, he agrees to meet the chosen one and gives up his slaves in preparation to be faithful to the woman he intends to marry. His only hope is that they are compatible and that she might wish to explore BDSM and be his slave.

Varushka naive, but curious about everything. Konstantin donates so much money to her village that she was able to seek higher education. Sheltered as the only daughter among many sons, she knows not what to expect when she meets Konstantin and moves to America to get to know him. Her more worldly cousin has filled her head with some nonsense, but in general she is a good girl getting to know a bad boy.

Konstatin is very noble in the situation of not taking her virginity until they are either married or she is confident they will marry. They have separate rooms, but he goes back to work leaving the country lady bored to tears in a mansion where he already has a cleaning lady. Varushka doesn't just lie around and wait to be waited on, but goes about making this her home. Don't be surprised if you see goats in this story.

Little by little Konstatin introduces Varushka to the delights of BDSM. Taking her to a club to view the dynamics, to smacking her ass as they kiss. Over time he starts to deprave her, but she isn't a push over by any stretch. Her innocence and naivety were actually very cute (or adorable as the authors like to say).

When Varushka's father finds out about Konstatin's past, he tricks her into coming home. Konstatin must decide if her will allow her to go or if he will fight to get her back.

The BDSM is hot and more mild than the other books, but don't be fooled! Konstatin is all alpha Dominant, but with a heart that cares as he introduces an innocent into the world he feels deep in his bones. Varushka pushes her boundaries, but also pushes Konstatin for what she wants, but he gives her what she needs. The two fall in love so sweetly and I wasn't expecting it.

This is a sweet and erotic story that has you laughing, but also believing in the power of brotherhood and love. This ends the trio of Doms story, but there is a new book coming out that bumps the series up again with the owner of the club the trio belong. It will be interesting to see these characters show up and get an update on how they are doing while getting a new story to love.
