The second book in the series shifts the travels of Frike to several other parts of the world. Same chases and escapes, same fights and adventures, only this time slightly shorter than the first volume, albeit with much higher concentration of explanations and scientific descriptions and a much more convoluted narration. Overall, a decent book by any standards, but nothing great or inspiring either.
