Not everyone who set out to uncover the truth behind the aliens creating havoc in Lower Crowchurch has survived the journey. Those that remain now put their lives on the line in a last-ditch effort to save their town in this stunning conclusion to the hit series.
Repito: gran historia, mejores personajes.
I didn't know, what this was about when I first started reading, and I was pleasently surprised. I've been exploring graphic novels, and although I've never been one for comics or sci-fi, I quite enjoyed this telling of a classic. I would recommend it to other non-comic/non-science ficition people. The issues are quite short (each issue is like a chapter) so overall it's a quick read. It starts out at a leisurely pace, but there is something about the style and the story that is intruiging. Eventually, humor is introduced and characters become beloved. I like better than the original and cinematic War of the Worlds. Even though there are shocking moments, it's still charming. To be clear, the shocking moments would not be out of place in your usual superhero comics but against the quiant backdrop this begins with, it's shocking (and still done tastefully).
A bonus I enjoyed is at the end of each chapter or issue is bonus content: maps, newspapers, the writer's notes, and even the beginning of a pulp fiction fantasy story mentioned in the series.
I would love to see more of the gentile rabbit, Mr. Gilbert esquire. I would read an entire graphic novel or comic book series about him making the rounds with Mr Minks.
