Kazi Nazrul Islam (Bengali: 唳曕唳溹 唳ㄠ唳班唳� 唳囙Ω唳侧唳�) was a Bengali poet, musician and revolutionary who pioneered poetic works espousing intense spiritual rebellion against fascism and oppression. His poetry and nationalist activism earned him the popular title of Bidrohi Kobi (Rebel Poet). Accomplishing a large body of acclaimed works through his life, Nazrul is officially recognised as the national poet of Bangladesh and commemorated in India.
I don't read Bangla poems that much. But Nazrul's poems always used to intrigue me. They are easy to read, easy to understand and absorb. Most of all their messages are nothing less than magnificent. If only we absorbed his messages instead of using him as a political and religious statement, this country would have been a way better place
