"But´even if it hurts´even if I clash with someone´my feelings can't be erased."
I don't know why, but there have been several times I've thought of dropping this series, only to read the latest volume, and absolutely love it!
I am not telling myself from henceforward that I'm going to STOP doing that because this volume was a blast! Not only was it really fun, but seeing Kujou FINALLY realize her feelings was everything! Her opening up, questioning, and admitting it is something I wasn't expecting to find so satisfying, but I would say it was just as satisfying when we got Souma's chapter a while back and saw the growth he had made too!
Poor Yanagi though! ALL the signs are there that Kujoi likes him, but due to the trauma he's had for so many years, he refuses to let himself get a "big head" and believes what he is seeing isn't the truth. LOL! Granted I don't blame the poor man, but I think when it comes to the next few volumes, Kujou is going to have to be the one who actively makes her feelings known. I don't see Yanagi doing it, even though I'm sure he wants to, especially with how cute that date was him and Kujou went on!
THE ENDING THOUGH!! Oh my goodness that cliffhanger and preview has me DESPERATE for the next volume!! Truly hoping it won't feel TOO long of a wait for me to get it!
There is apparently a spate of books that I¨m reading right now where they keep doing the same thing over and over. This time it¨s Last Game, which´ yep, does the same thing over and over.
Well, Kujou admits she has feelings for Yanagi, which would be amazing except she only admits it to herself and nobody else. Even then, this still somehow morphs into her having a date with Souma after the fact.
Look, the moment she realizes she¨s in love with Yanagi is pretty sweet, actually. And their date-not-a-date is also fairly amusing, but only if you are thoroughly into this style of `you know, if we actually said anything to one another the series would end and we¨d be happy¨ manga.
It is of a specific type, basically, and it¨s one that I can take or leave. In this particular instance, it reads easy and requires little, but the reward is pretty commensurate with the work asked of the reader. I don¨t mind this series (that first volume is a stone cold classic), but I don¨t love it.
3 stars - it¨s fine, occasionally worth a chuckle. I doubt I¨d miss it if it was gone, but it¨s pretty cheap and that combines with the occasional chuckles to keep it on my reading pile.
aaaaaaaaa mutual pining, the only circumstance under which I will accept lack of communication as a source of conflict
also why can't all boys accept rejection so graciously, damn. (this includes other manga/anime boys who take "no" as a challenge even when they know she clearly likes someone else - if you really like someone you should want them to be happy even if it's not with you, but I'll resist climbing on the soapbox here)

It is a very heart warming manga. The story is about Yanagi who is always first in everything plus he is a Rick and handsome brat. But suddenly a girl named Kujou is transferred to his primary school and turns out she is first in everything. So to defeat her and come first he start persuing her and they have a last game.
Qu└ tomo!!!
