Sometimes decisions aren’t just bad, they’re downright deadly. In an act of love, Adam, the oldest Sidhe in all the worlds, suffers the crushing reality of his past, which is not just haunting him, it’s following him ceaselessly. A jealous princess is waiting for her champion to come home, and when Adam doesn’t show, his presence is not just demanded, it’s crucial, and ultimately he answers for his actions. Love does not conquer all, at least, not in the Faelands, and Adam is not the one who pays the highest price for his decision. Is the world ready for what’s in store? One can only hope, because ready or not, Adam’s fate is sealed and all others are in jeopardy.
Briana Michaels grew up and still lives on the East Coast. When taking a break from the crazy adventures in her head, she enjoys running around with her two children. If there is time to spare, she loves to read, cook, hike in the woods, and sit outside with a fire. She does all of this with the love and support of her amazing husband who always has her back, encouraging her to go for her dreams. Aye, she’s a lucky girl indeed.
Another amazing novel by this author. I'm thoroughly intrigued by this world of the fae. This series draws you in and takes you on one hell of a ride. There is so much intensity in this second installment, I'm not sure if I liked Shatter or Shine better!
Adam's story was not what I expected and I LOVED it. I hate it when a book is too predictable. The Sins of the Sidhe do not disappoint. The story is constantly changing and evolving, with twists and turns that keep you on the edge of your seat. Adam and Brinley are made for each other. So happy they got their chance, although I was sweating it out for a minute.
One of the great aspects of this series is the inclusion of so many interesting side characters. Each one is fully developed, and full of depth. I found myself caring about each of them, no matter how minor their contribution. I have to admit, I've never found the fae world, characters, abilities, and traits more fascinating. The fae are portrayed with their strengths and weaknesses, with feelings and desires as real as our own. Well done.
I am really starting to get invested in these characters. I love the shift in POV and the sexy steamy scenes are well written. Fantastic story line, especially the Seelie Court. I'm intrigued with the fate of the fae, the corrupt king, and the inevitable confrontation between the main characters and the epic battle that is sure to come soon.

What can I say about this. It is perfect! I was hooked on this series from book one. Briana is amazing in her work on these books. For any who have not read them, please you have no idea what your missing! Her work is smooth, flowing from one character to the next and keeps you wanting to turn that page! It is such a treat to read books so well done and with heart for a change. I love her!
Shine: Sins of the Sidhe - Book 2 by Briana Michaels Let’s talk about Adam - Sidhe Warrior!
Wow! The author sets a cracking pace with the second book in this series. I was not disappointed with the way she leads us straight into the next fabulous romance with the pairing of Adam, Warrior Sidhe known to all as The Creator and Brinley, BFF of our first heroine from book one, Rowan!
Their attraction is explosive to say the least and despite Adam’s best efforts to stay away and not burden Brinley with his Fae self and the crushing realisation of his Immortality, he cannot help but be drawn time and again to her. Brinley is the Sunshine in his life.
The inevitable culmination of this attraction leads to Adam ‘Claiming Brinley and the entire Fae community feels the quite powerful BOOM! that this magnificent and beautiful act creates! Yowser! HOT! HOT! HOT!
Adam is also an Original and one of the most powerful of the Sidhe Warriors! He is favoured by the Gods themselves. He is also the centre of the very unhealthy passions of the seriously mentally unstable Seelie Princess, Claire. Her obsession with Adam goes beyond dangerous when she orders Brinley to be captured and brought to her at the Seelie Court in the Fae Kingdom. The ensuing rollercoaster ride of darkness and pain for Brinley is lifted by the end of this book after she has been rescued and restored to the human realm and she and Adam finally receive the blessing of the Goddess Morrigan! Happy, Happy Times!!!
But all is not well in the House of Adam and Brinley. We find that a dark creature lurks within their home, disguised and hiding within the body of Adam’s best friend Devlin’s brother, Ruark who was recently rescued by Rowan, Devlin and Adam from the darkest dungeons of Lorcan, The Dark Lord. The next chapter of this series calls to me, and I am eagerly off to start on book three, Passion which will expand I’m sure on Ruark’s story.
Poor Adam has been alone for so long and when he finally finds love, it is forbidden, pretty ironic considering Adam is a original and from the garden.
Brinley is Rowan's best friend, a believer and human. And she falls for the one man she isn't supposed to have.
While they are battling their attraction, a evil force is determined to make Adam hers and does anything and everything to destroy Brinley.
With the decision made Adam is determined to get his woman back by any means necessary even if it goes against the gods and the fates.
As much as I wanted to smack Adam, I love how the relationships are built and grow. Brinley is a strong woman and definitely needs her kick arse attitude to put up with Adam. The story continues to build, when the gods meddle with the world then trouble is sure to follow.
Sexy sidhe, strong women, dangerous deceivers, this world gets deeper and more delicious with every book. The lovers in book 1 expand their confidants in this book and we get a glimpse of the battles ahead
Yes! I loved it. Second book in the series and about a new couple but at the same time the story continues with all the characters like Rowan, Devlin, and Ava. I can't get enough and can't wait to see where it goes!
Glad I found this collection. I didnt expect to fall in book love but I did. Druids, Angel's, demons, succubus, witches, beasts. Has everything youd need
Adam and Brinely's journey was heartbreakingly beautiful to read. A fantastic 2nd book that had me ignoring my husband and kids for the day so I could devour it. I love all the interconnecting stories and couples. I can't wait to see how the story grows!
If I haven’t already stated this before, Briana Michaels is easily becoming one of my favorite PNR writers. The second book of the Sins of the Sidhe series is just as fast paced and sexy as the first. This time, the story focuses on Adam (THE Adam as in the creator of the Garden of Eden). He finally has to address the feelings he has for Rowan’s best friend Brinley and the challenges doing so brings. The main challenge of this story being the psycho Seelie Princess, Claire. Centuries ago, Adam and Claire had a “thing, and while he’s long since left, Claire is still pining for his return. So much so that she sends a Sidhe to spy on him introducing new characters to the series. And what an introduction to be had (first chapter!). In the meantime, we’re catching up with Rowan, Devlin, and Devlin’s brother Ruark who is still trying to recover and face his demons (tee hee hee you’ll see why I find that funny after you read the book).
I really do enjoy this series It’s one of those series that you can’t put down because it draws you in completely. If I have a few worries. First there is almost too much going on. Just after you think the drama is over, there is something even bigger and badder around the corner. Not really a complaint, but at times I almost felt overwhelmed reading it. I literally took breaks so I could catch my breath. I worry that the overall series may lose focus. I’m betting (hoping) it won’t, but that’s just me and my anxiety about the characters and plot. The other worry I have is with testing the strength of the couples relationships. I mean, the characters are claiming each other, so you would think their bond is unbreakable. But then another character pops up and tests someone or strains their relationship to their limits, or makes someone hide secrets. It hurts my heart to read a character hiding secrets or feelings, or reading about the partner being hurt (anger, jealousy, etc.). While these things irk me, it doesn’t deter me from reading on. If you enjoy an author pushing you to the edge of what you think you can handle and then blowing you mind, then please read this series!
I've read the first book Shatter and found this book to be even better! We get to follow more characters, the plot lines weave in and out, making pure magic! I am so excited to find out what happens in upcoming books, but this series has done an amazing job in satisfying the story line in each book. No waiting on the edge of my seat, just sitting with my bags packed waiting for more friends to show up and whole new adventures to go on!!
I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. And just when I think I've figured everything out, I finally nd more twists and surprises. Can't wait for the next one!
Magic and men with muscles are a great combination. This book was as good as the first in the series. I usually read mystery/ thrillers but his was an excellent change up.
Where to start??!! Umm ok OMG!!! Shine is amazing. The story continues with Adam as it main character and wow!!! You get to meet new characters Xander, Ashlyn, Willow and Ruark. Most importantly Adam finds his sunshine!! Must read!!!
