Griffiths is such an exceptional writer that he could grab a kid's attention as well as an adult's. This collection of short stories are hilarious and highly creative, I am in awe (and seriously entertained) with each drawing on every page. Definitely a must read.

The first chapter was laugh-till-you're-out-of-breath funny. The inspiration dropped off some after that. Good read for middle-grade kids.

I don't really know how to rate this Just series by Andy Griffiths. There are about 10 stories in each book, so I guess I'll give one star per 2 stories that I liked!

Only two particular stories stuck with me. The first was 'Emergency spew relish' where Andy's on a plane ride and he does all sorts of tricks and gags to get the lady beside him to switch seats. The second was 'Beat the bomb!' where Andy and his friend impersonate and trick a mutual friend of theirs by pretending that he won a contest on the radio.

But I did kind of like 'Cockroach', 'A TerrIBLE Christmas and a CRappy New Year' and the funny drawings at the side, so I'll give this book 2 stars.

This Just series is really better left to the younger ones. I know I enjoyed this book a lot when I was younger, but now that I'm older, I just don't find the same 'immature' or 'gross' humor funny. The stories are fairly short, but full of humor and the drawings at the side will keep children who are reluctant to read, interested in the book. Best enjoyed by the young ones or if your sense of humor is just really goofy, like Andy's here.

This book is about a kid named Andy Griffiths and he leads a crazy life. He runs around in a gorilla suit and almost goes to the zoo, He also makes his friend think that he is invisible. He also makes his parents look likie vomit by pouring this mixture of nasty ingreideints. THen he gets in big trouble.

I can connect to this book on many levels. I always try to trick my brother and my sister. They fall for it all the time, but then I end up getting in trouble, but it is still very fun to see them throw up or whatever. I can also connect to him because at my sisters party I made her feel so sad by making her fall and wipe out. She cried, but yet again, it was still funny.

I gave this book 4 stars because it was one of the funniest books that I have ever read. I also think that the author described all the details of what happened well. I would recommend this book to a person who likes to play out funny jokes on people and make a fool out of themselves and everyone else. Also to people who just want to laugh at somethiing funny.

In this hilarious book by Andy Griffiths called Just Joking is about a lot of different people playing pranks on each other and there is about ten stories about it! The one story that I love is when a Gorilla attacks downtown Baton Rouge, but is it a Gorilla...
I love the overall happy and upbeat mood about this book but one thing I really could have gone without is the fact that the pranks are so predictable so you need to twist it up a little bit. If I wrote this book I would focus on one main character doing a lot of pranks instead of a bunch of people doing one prank.
I would recommend anyone with a funny side of them to read this book because its funny but you have to have the right sense of humor to get it.

I love this book because this book was really funny and it was a good reading experience. Stories with humor makes time pass faster. I remember one story, there was a character who like to sit alone on the plane. An old lady starts to walk near him and he start pretending to be disgusting to scared off the old lady, but he find out that shes blind and he has embarrassed himself. That story was one of stories that made me laugh a lot. I know this is a short and easy book, but it did help me because it was a really bad week and some laughter really helped me through that week. Recommended to everyone because it will make you laugh.

Oh my goodness if this wasn't the greatest series written for middle grade kids who want to be endlessly entertained then I don't know what is. These books are the most fantastic, imaginative, gross and wonderful stories, not to mention the illustrations! The book is filled with flip pictures, other smaller stories of cartoons across the pages and it is just SO entertaining. I have never laughed so much reading anything in my life, and despite being about twelve or so when I did read them all, I'm sure they'd still make me laugh just as hard now. Do your kids and yourself a favour and get hold of them all!

This book is printed on paper made from 100% Dolphin Skin (recycled).

Fairly random, not really a chapter book so much as a story collection of isolated episodes, many with unpleasant endings for the protagonist ("Andy Griffiths"). A series of extended jokes, if you will. I enjoyed the multitude of little cartoons and gags in the margins as much as the actual text.

We started reading this for read aloud with the kids at school. The first chapter was funny so I wanted to read the rest of the book on my own since I miss half of the read alouds. The first chapter was the best but the others were funny too.

This book was not one of my favourites of the 'just' series but it was still OK. The stories in it were funny but a little bit to silly. OK book
