Bitten Point #3

Python's Embrace

Rate this book
He loves to HUG and SQUEEZE.

Welcome to Bitten Point, where a big bad snake dotes on his itty-bitty dog. Got a problem with it? Then speak to his fist.

Don’t mock Constantine’s dog. Princess might weigh only six and a half pounds, but she’s tough—so watch your ankles. Be warned, if she doesn’t like you then neither will Constantine.

Except he kinds of likes Aria, even though Princess would prefer to bury her in a hole.

Could it be because Aria has secrets? Lots of them, and they all have to do with the danger stalking Bitten Point. People are missing, and some have turned up dead. Monsters are roaming and not just the swamp at night but the streets too. At the heart of the mystery is a bite-sized woman, a woman Constantine wants to hug tightly in his coils and…keep forever?

A cold-blooded snake, Constantine can’t help but crave the warmth that is Aria, but can he keep her out of mortal danger long enough to make her his mate?

Narration Type: Solo Narration

Constantine and Aria - Constantine is the brother of Caleb from the first book and is a huge manly cajun guy who has a cute little tiny dog called Princess. He is a python shifter and has a great sense of humor and is very easy going. Nothing much surprises him, so when he finds Aria, the Eagle shifter that Cynthia (from Panthers Claim) had been looking for, all muddy and coming out of the swamp near his home, hiding from the people who had taken her and experimented on her, he took her into his home and promised to keep her presence there a secret from everyone but Daryl and Cynthia.

Like the previous two books this was told in dual points of view via solo narration. It was starting to get on my nerves a bit to not have dual narration or at least a male narrator, so I took a bit of a break between the last book and this one. I doubt I will bother with many books with solo narration and a female narrator again. I don’t know why but I just like male narrators better than female. Duet or dual narration is even better.

The ongoing story about the evil genetics corporation doing some dastardly deeds and performing genetics experiments and the crazy results of the failed experiments running wild, was good and we found out more about what was going on. I liked this story more than the last one, it started a bit slow but got better and better as it went on.

Aria finally escapes the prison of shifters she´s been captive in, though running through a swamp isn´t really on the fun side. Ending up by a gorgeous shifters feet, though, that´s more like it. Until she suffers memory loss, and can´t even remember her own shifter side.
Constantine has searched for Aria for a while when she´s literally delivered to his door. When strange monster shifters turns up hunting her, he has to bring on his Python, and he´s ready to huggle.
Can they investigate what happened together, and keep her safe from the people hunting Aria?
PNR romance, action, suspense and smutty fluff in a funny combo.
Disclaimer; I won my own copy in a contest on FB =)

I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title within the series set box. (Audible Membership)
Aria had just escaped only to run into a very big man and his tiny dog. Eventually, they come to an understanding but her amnesia caused by her fever, triggered by her trek through the swamp, only gave her brief memory clips to filling what she had escaped from.

This is my least favorite story of Eve's. It was well written but a pythons shifter is just not a shifter I care about al all as if would turn out.

My review and an extended sample of the audiobook are posted at .

In the continuation of the Bitten Point series, we have Constantine, brother to Caleb, the hero of the first book, Croc’s Return. Constantine happens across a muddy mess of a girl in the swap while he is walking his little dog, Princess. He offers to take her back to the house to get cleaned up. Once she is clean, he realized that she is the girl that everyone’s been searching for. He’s also quite drawn to her, but snakes are not known for staying around, just ask his father who has been MIA since before his birth.

Aria is on the run, but she’s also got some amnesia. Some things are coming back in bits and pieces. Aria is quite drawn to Constantine, but his little dog will have none of it. She is quite the jealous little thing.

The suspense in this story continues to go forward at a great pace. We learn even more about the strange hybrids running around town. We also learn more about who is behind them. There is some time spent with some of the characters of previous books, mostly the guys, but some of the girls too. We are also introduced to the couple that will be in the next, and what I think is the final book in this series. I would recommend reading this series in order. I know many PNR books, you can read however, but suspense part of this series does build on the previous books, so there, you would be a little bit lost.

“Who are you? “Constantine Xavier Boudreaux. She blinked. “Wow, that’s a mouthful. Only too late did she realize how that sounded, and judging by the grin stretching his lips, so did he. “More than a mouthful, and handful.

“Why the eff are you stripping right now? Aria yelled, not having run away as he told her to.
“Gonna unleash my mighty snake.
“That better not be a reference to your dick.

Narration
Chandra Skyye has done a great job with narration of this book. Not only did she continue do a great job with the male and female voices. She also had to handle the snake that spoke to Constantine in his head with the long s’s. Also, there is a lot of dialogue of the hybrid characters. She did a great job with their narrations.

Heather's Notes
This book was cute. I liked Aria and Constantine. I am not such a fan of Princess, but she was ok. I thought the book was cute. I really liked the end where Megan shots her husband and Wes. I am thinking they are not dead though since Wes is the 4th book.

Eve langlais nails it again! I need the next one!!

Ooh I love this book and Constantine!! The farther we get into this series the better it gets!! I have been waiting for Constantine and Princess's book and it was just as good as I expected, maybe even better. He is such an awesome character and the python aspect is so cool! I usually hate snakes but who could hate Constantine? He is my current favorite of the series! I liked Aria too although I wish there had been a little more about her background in this book. As always it has Eve's particular brand of Crazy, funny antics that is one of the best parts of an Eve Langlais book. All the action was fantastic and the suspense stayed up throughout the story. I really want to know more about Ace, I really loved his character, felt sorry for him and can't wait to find out more about him. I cannot believe that we have to wait till June to find out what happened to Wes especially after the ending of this book. I will be waiting impatiently as always for it to come out. Hurry up June! I want it now!

When Constantine finds Aria caked in sludge from the swamp, he does what any good snake shifter would do offers her an outdoor shower. His snake though wants to get cozy with the eagle shifter, but her sass and tiny size has Constantine thinking not, plus his loving dog Princess doesn't like her. When Aria can't remember what happened to her though has Constantine protecting her and it is only a matter of time before he gives in to the attraction between them.

Saucy fun. Eve Langlais always has a way of creating entertaining characters and humorous stories. Princess was a hoot, look forward to more in this series.

Well another book similar to the first two in this series. While it was no means bad, it just wasn't anything I haven't read from this author before (similar stories, just insert different breed of shifter)!
A few lol moments which you come to expect from these books/series, a little on the cliché side on occasions.
Only one more in this series and then I hate to write it, let alone think it (as I've read sooo many Eve Langlais books) BUT don't think I'll be continuing with any more from this author for a while!
Overall and easy read.

Story 4,4/5
Hörbuchfassung 5,0/5
Charaktere 4,6/5
Gesamt 4,6/5

Constantine loves his chihuahua Princess, but then he finds the missing Aria and he laso likes her. Unfortunately Princess doesn't lke Aria as much, but the Python shifter has other things on his mind. Aria is being harrased by the evil creatures of the Bittech corp and they want her back for their experiments , as she is a very rare eagle shifter.

Pro's:
+ Just like the 2 previous books, this is a really well told, fast-paced and actionpacked story. The scenes between Princess and Aria are put is for a touch of humor and it really takes the story to a whole new level.
+ There is a running story for all the books and there is an epic conclusion to this one. I know there is one story left, but if the author never wrote it this book could have been a really good ending.

Con's:
- Again, the beginning of the next book get's spoilered in the ending of this book. STOP DOING THAT!

Loved this again, I can really recommend it. I hope the author can keep the pace up in the next book, as this one ended on a high note. I alsways liike the 2 heroes to be happily ever after in the end, but there are so many loose ends that I will start the next book right away.

Constantine Xavier Boudreaux is a python shifter with a chihuahua he dotes on. He's a big man with a tiny dog and no one better mess with either of them.

Aria is an Eagle shifter who'd been looking into the murders and disappearances in Bitten Point before she disappeared. She falls at Constantine's feet after she escaped capture. She's prickly, forthright and unafraid to take what she wants. The problem is she lost her memory and she needs to remember before those chasing her find her.

Constantine is determined to keep Aria safe I struggled with his methods. He wanted her under wraps but then takes her out to the local diner. Even with the odd behavior these two have chemistry and their story is fun even while they are in danger. Don't look at things too closely and enjoy their banter and Constantine's feisty dog.

Good Addition to the Series

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this addition to the Bitten Point series. I was a little disappointed in the second book, so I wasn’t sure how well this one was going to turn out.

One of the best things about this book is that you get to see Constantine as a man and not just Caleb’s little brother. When I saw Constantine was getting his own book, I couldn’t quite grasp the concept because in Croc’s Return he was just Caleb’s little brother. But he really came into his own in this book.

Aria was a great partner for Constantine and the author did a good job of showcasing the chemistry between them. Aria was strong but you could see how her kidnapping had affected her. Her backstory was interesting, and her eagle shifter was different from what I am used to seeing. I love the relationship with Princess and Ace.

The narrator is great, and I love that the voices have been consistent throughout the series.

So much to love about this book. I gotta say the dog, Princess, stole the show. Chandra Skyye does such a great job giving the characters tbeir own unique voices. Rest assured Princess is a major character in this book. The jealous rivalry between Aria and her is hilarious. Those parts could have easily been under played, but Chandra "voiced" the dog perfectly and made Princess shine. The teasing banter between Constantine and Aria had me in stitches at times. There was plenty of action from start go finish in this installment in the series. The epilogue sets up for the next book nicely, so you won't want to wait to start reading it. I am anxious to find out how Wes is going to win Melanie back. I hope her husband vets his just reward. What a total jerk! I've been intrigued by Wes since his first appearance. Solid 4 stars on this one and I'm off to start Book 4!

So he’s the brother of the soldier we met in book 1 and she’s the missing bird shifter everyone was looking for in book 2.

He tries to help her but she lost some of her memories and they are coming back slowly as to where she was being held and who betrayed her.

They keep trying to get her back and some are hurt well she’s trying to put the pieces together.

They fall in love without the blessing of his little puppy that doesn’t like to share her daddy’s attention.

By the time she gets her memories back it’s too late again the bad guys cleared out of their medical facility.

This book was okay, there were funny parts and some good spice. The overall background story is getting really dry though

Loving This Series

I’m really loving this series now. I wasn’t too happy with the first book but because I like this author’s work I read book 2 which I did enjoy. Now here comes the third book in the series and it is really getting good. I keep 1-clicking book after book so that should tell you something. The interaction between the two main characters was hilarious. The action was easy to follow and we finally got a peek into the bad guys behind the problems plaguing the town and its residents. I hope Ace gets his happy ending but the next book is about Melanie and Wes so who knows.

Python's Embrace is the third in Eve Langlais' Bitten Point series, set in the swampy town of Bitten Point, Louisiana. Constantine's big guy with a big heart and big fists...and a teeny tiny dog he treats every bit as indulgently as her name Princess would imply. When the petite Aria tumbles into his life bringing with her some big trouble, Constantine's python immediately wants to stake a claim on the unusual eagle shifter. Princess is much less enamored, and with danger hot on their heels, they don't have much time to indulge in much besides running for their lives.

Ms Langlais' story keeps the pages turning, and I'm definitely enjoying the series.

I feel a bit iffy about this one. I didn't particularly care that much about Constantine and Aria's relationship. He was pretty interesting- a python shifter fireman who loves his dog. But I found Aria pretty disappointing. I didn't like the addition of amnesia, it just didn't add anything to the plot. Aria also didn't seem to match her job, I just didn't buy it. This felt like it had more plot progression than last book as we discover more of who's responsible for the disappearances and the experiments (golly gee, I wonder who's experimenting on shifter, it couldn't be the shifter laboratory where we've sent all of our evidence that mysteriously got destroyed).

This is the third book in the four book Bitten Point series by Eve Langlais.
Continuing on from where book 2 left off, we find Python shifter Constantine discovering Eagle shifter (and missing woman) Aria in the swamp.
Constantine and his Chihuahua, Princess, try to help Aria, but they also have to deal with her memory loss, a variety of monsters attacking them, and an enemy who seems to be too well informed.
The background story against which the romance is set, actually progresses quite a bit in this book, and the epilogue ends with a cliffhanger.

Love me, love my dog, and python

Cyn arrived in the last.book looking for her missing friend Aria.
In this book Aria is found in the swamps by Constantine and his dog Princess.
Aria has no memories and has a fever so he takes her in and they try to piece together what happened, as the monsters hunt for her and their chemistry sizzles.
This was great fun, sexy bits, the mystery but also links to Brandons story in the Dragon Point universe

great character trio

Bittech is still doing bad deeds and experimenting on shifters without consent. Constantine and his pet chihuahua, Princess, have to fight to save Aria. There’s plenty of heat in this story, and battles too. Who knew there were so many kinds of shifter! And a sexy python! As always, the author has written a super good story that has not only all of the above but darn good humour too. I love Princess.

Never thought about how snakes would love to hug, and squeeze, well, at Constantine’s wants to, and maybe that is only with Aria, but I liked it! Little bit of romcom, little bit of amnesia, whole lot of action (both kinds!), and unraveling the mystery hanging over the town. This book is the *boom* of the series, and our two main characters are at the centre of it all!

This short series is so much fun. Shifter town finding secrets in their backyard by the organization that is supposed to be keeping them safe. The pip squeak in this has so much attitude and is so much fun. I found myself laughing out loud so often. Went through these books in less than a week 1-5 @ roughly 6 hours per each. Highly recommend especially if you are inti the paranormal scene

Hunted, escaped, rescued, hunted and finally found.

Aria is hunted through the swamp after escaping the lab. She's rescued, nursed through a fever but is still hunted. She's finally found and has love with Constantine.
