Amanda McIntyre’s passion is telling character-driven stories with a penchant for placing ordinary people placed in extraordinary situations.
A bestselling author, her work is published internationally in print, E-book, and audio. She writes sizzling contemporary and erotic historical romance and believes no matter what, love will find a way.
3.25 RATING- This was a pretty random pick for me. I wasn't familiar with this author but the wounded warrior hero, small town romance, and $0.99 price lured me in. All in all, it was an okay read. My major gripe was lack of steamy bits. There was some romance and it wasn't entirely PG but I like my romances much steamier. This is something I'd feel comfortable recommending to my mom and if I had a living grandmother, her too =) For readers that don't require sizzling sex, this may be a better fit.
One note, while this is book one in the series, there seemed to be a lot of references to supporting characters and past events. I can only assume these characters and events took place in another series by the author. I didn't have any issues reading this without reading the other series but I think overall it would have been more enjoyable if I had read the others.
All her friends are finding love and starting families. It's made Sally realize that she wants a baby, but there isn't a man in her life. She doesn't want to keep putting her dreams on hold. What should she do? Sally has always been there to care for her family as a result she's sacrificed. She is someone that people can depend on. I liked her and wanted her to find the happiness that she deserves. Clay Saunders has come to work at Last Hope Ranch. He's a wounded warrior who is battling post-traumatic stress disorder. He's fighting to live with all the changes in his life. The story revolves around a no strings arrangement to make Sally's dream come true that grows into a forever love. Amanda McIntyre touched me with this romantic story. Sally and Clay have amazing chemistry. I enjoyed their intense fiery attraction. They make a perfect couple. End of that Line is a friendly town that loves gossip. We, also, have the Kinnisons who add to the action. The ending brought a smile to my face. I always look forward to books by Amanda McIntyre. She never disappoints.
This book started out really slow for me. And then when it did start to get good, it seemed really rushed. One minute they didn't care for each other and the next she wanted him to be her baby daddy then they were in love. I just didn't feel a connection with the characters. It all felt too rushed.
Loved returning to the Last Hope Ranch and reuniting with the whole Kinnison family. Sally and Clay's story was sweet and funny and fall in love good. Can't wait for the next book!
It had so much back story thrown in that I thought I was reading like book 5 and not book 1. Not to mention that the main story line didn't have a thing with the ranch....
Sally Anderson wants a baby but hasn’t found Mr. Right so she is going to get a donor in an unconventional way. All she wants is to get pregnant then the man can go away. She doesn’t want anything else from him. Even though Sally wanted to keep it quiet, her plan gets around the small town and just about every man in town was willing to help her out.
Clay Saunders came to work at Last Hope Ranch after leaving the Army with PTSD and losing a leg. Working at the ranch, rehabilitating horses before finding them good homes, has made him feel useful and given him a purpose. When Clay and Sally first met, they said some pretty nasty things to each other, so when she asked him to be the donor, he was surprised, to say the least. On top of that, she was always grumpy to him. Her plan worked for Clay because he never expected anyone to be interested in him after losing his leg. He didn’t expect a relationship in his future. But after kissing Sally, he wanted more than just being a donor.
I loved the charity bachelor auction where Sally and another woman got into a bidding war over Clay. Clearly, she wanted him for more than just a baby daddy, too.
I liked this story about Sally and Clay. The unusual way they get together is surprising but worked out for them. Clay is such a great guy. He is kind and caring. And I liked the way he defends Sally when some other men are talking about how she plans on getting a baby. He also helps his sister when she needed to get away from her abusive husband.
I am so glad I won this book in a giveaway. I really got caught up in the story that had me happy and sad but smiling at the end.
Here come the Kinnisons and friends again, this time centered around the ranch they've created for folks putting their lives back together. Clay is a veteran who is healing from both physical and emotional wounds. He works with Rein on carpentry and renovation projects. Sally is the schoolteacher who has made a life-altering decision about her future. Add in a bachelor auction for charity, a sudden need for a cook, and some mutual desire, and you have new roots being planted in End of the Line, Montana.
I am a big fan of Amanda McIntyre and have read the first three books of the Kinnison Legacy so when I found out she was going to do a spin off series I was very excited. I couldn't wait to read more about the people that live in End of the Line Montana. One of my favorite characters from the original series is Sally. She is a school teacher who spent many years taking care of her ailing father. All of her friends are now getting married and having children and she wants that for herself. In walks Clay, war veteran staying at the Kinnison's Last Hope Ranch. He is there to work on his own demons. Having lost a leg and suffering from what he saw during war he longs for a normal life but doesn't think it will happen for him. This is a wonderful book it makes you laugh at times and sad at times and sometimes it can give you tingles!! Getting to know more of the people in town and what their lives are like makes you feel like they are your neighbors. I highly recommend this book and the first three books about the Kinnisin brothers. Fall in love with the men that live at End of the Line Montana!!

What a wonderful book! I thought the characters really made the story. Love small towns. Clay and Sally have great chemistry. I really enjoyed reading and I can't wait for the next one in the series. I couldn't put it down! Highly recommended. Thank you!
NO Strings Attached was adorable! It's about finding love in a small town where everything is everyone's business. I thought this book was extremely well written and I can't wait to follow each of the characters introduced in this book. It was romantic and an unorthodox way of falling in love, with Sally wanting a baby bringing them together. I really enjoyed reading this book and look forward to reading more. Also, there are some delicious sounding recipes at the end that I'm totally going to make!
Sally's friends are all getting married and starting families. She decides that she too is ready to start a family. She wants a baby, and has just the man in mind to give her one with no strings attached.
Clay served oversees when his team was ambushed, leaving him alive and with survivors guilt and a prosthetic leg. He heads to the Last Hope Ranch for healing and to figure out his future. What he doesn't expect is the unusual offer he receives.
Sally is despondent. An elementary school teacher and all-around community helper and planner, she's making plans. Her father left her a small inheritance and she's having renovations done at her house, but also thinking about renovations to herself. All of her friends are getting married and having babies, some are even on the second or third child. Not Sally, so with her biological clock ticking louder every day she looks into in-vitro. Meanwhile, a casual conversation at the local diner, apparently overheard has men she's know most of her life looking at her creepily, then someone tells her that the fact that she's looking for a baby daddy is all over town. It saddens her, that a lot of men she considered friends are willing to impregnate her, but not date her.
A nice interesting read. I'll have to keep an eye on Ms. McIntyre.

No Strings Attached is an amazing story! Sally Andersen puts her life on hold to care for her Father while all her friends are getting married and having children. Now Sally wants a child but not necessarily a husband. In the small town of, End of the Line, this is scandalous for a school teacher. Clay Saunders has just returned from serving his country overseas. He is suffering from survivor guilt, PTSD, losing his leg and fiancée. Coming to End of the Line he is hoping to heal. Instead he finds a beautiful feisty Sally wanting a baby. She proposes to Clay a contract: we have a baby with no strings attached. Amanda McIntyre is a favorite Author of mine and I love to read every book she writes. I would highly recommend, No Strings Attached, it is just that good!
An amazing love story between two people who least expected it. Sally who has given up on finding Mr Right and starting a family decides to start a family on her own. All she needs is a donor. Clay an army veteran. Who is struggling with PTSD. After a tour he came home a changed man minus a leg. Never thought he would find someone that would love him after the loss of his leg. Definitely recommend this book!! Good old fashioned love story.
This was a sweet story. I loved reading them come together and loved seeing how everyone else is in their business as they try to come together. It was a very good story and I am glad I got to review it.
Very sweet style read with real family small town feel good where everyone knows everyone’s business. Was a bit disjointed at times but was an okay read. Not a keeper though.
Wad looking for something new to read, so I decided to take a chance on a new author. Loved the flow of the story along with the development of the characters. Looking forward to reading more of your books
I hate this stupid tablet. I had the entire review written and lost it so I guess I'll start again!
This was very entertaining! I'd never read this author's work before but won this in a giveaway. I'm glad I did. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Sally Anderson's biological clock was ticking. All her friends were marrying and having babies. Living in a small town, however, limited her choices, and the remaining single males weren't exactly crawling over one another to break down her door. Although there is one man . . but the first time they met he actually frightened her a little bit.
Clay Saunders arrived in town to work at Last Hope Ranch where they do equine rescues, rehabilitating the horses before finding them a good home. Several of his friends work there. Clay lost a leg while in the military overseas. He came home broken, scarred, and suffering from PTSD. To make matters worse, the first time his fiancee got a look at him minus his leg, she bolted. He's not exactly looking for another relationship at the moment although he has to admit to finding Sally attractive. If only she wasn't so prickly around him. Of course he didn't make a very good impression on her the first time they met either.
When word gets out that Sally is looking to have a baby and is in the market for a volunteer to help her achieve her goal, Clay defends her. He doesn't like the fact other guys are talking about her that way. And Sally can't believe that a simple conversation with a friend suddenly makes her the talk of the town. She explains to Clay that she thought about in vitro but really can't afford it then floors him by asking him if he would do her the honor of becoming her baby daddy. She even offers to pay him for his services.
Clay doesn't care about the money. He'd just give it to some charity anyway. All he cares about is Sally. He's not even interested in the contract she draws up for him to sign. One taste of Sally's luscious lips is all it takes for Clay to agree. She's like no one he's ever met before. Not only is she pretty but she's funny, kind, easy to talk to, and she accepts him as he is, missing leg and all.
This was a wonderful love story even though Clay and Sally have a rather unconventional way of falling in love. There's even an element of suspense and danger thrown in when Clay's sister calls asking for his help in getting away from her abusive husband. I enjoy small town romance and liked the relationships Sally and Clay had with their friends. I'm sure they were the subjects of previous books that I will have to go back and catch up on. I also see this is book one in a new series so I'll have something to look forward to. A big thumbs up to the author for this one.
Here I go again getting into another new to me author that thanks to what it was about captured my attention. I read a variety and love coming across ones such as these. This could be anyone in your town which makes you caught up in the realism. In this one she brings characters I realized while reading from another series with ones that invite you to there place. It also helped me want to read previous ones but oh the time. Anyways Sally has a clock telling her that she wants a child but being a single she has begun checking into several options. When she tells her friends I am sure you could imagine. She is also a school teacher which made it interesting too. she has really good friends but one by one she feels she is becoming the odd one out. She also is doing things to her home in remodeling in her goals. This author sets up the scenes, people but they also have their questions. Then there is Clay who has come thanks to events in his life that this is the place he needs in healing as a wounded warrior. As you get settled in this story you are caught up in will she succeed, can she find a daddy and the like all the while Clay is becoming part of the picture more and more. You will get into the close knit group and the concerns and trials. As a relationship builds your heart will warm for the two of them. When reading ones such as these it is one you just want another reader to get into because you know it will be enjoyed greatly. Vibrant and full of life you forget your surroundings enjoying it to the end. Ups and downs are all part of what will make it also the one you will be glad you opened.
A woman on a mission to get something she has been wanting for years, a man looking for love that would overlook his troubles and looks. And a little auction that could just bring them together. Sally loves kids. She teaches at a little school. And besides helping her ailing father, she has no time to herself to look for a man the conventional way. Until now. So when she decides to take a chance and makes a rule with one of the bachelors.... Will she keep that rule or will she loose her heart in the process? Clay is a soldier with many problems. He feels he isn't wanted anymore because of them. So when a little fiery redhead takes interest in him. But lays down some rules. He's not sure what to make of it but he knows one thing he must show he cares and quick.

No Strings Attached managed to bring the emotion and sex appeal. Clay has returned home a changed man. He now has to come to terms with physical limitations and emotional issues heaped upon him by his experiences. Sally finally has the chance to be free of responsibility and live for herself. The loneliness she feels is magnified by the love and happiness that surrounds her. I received a copy of No Strings Attached in exchange for an honest review. Amanda McIntyre's story is one of bravery, determination and learning to let go of the things in life that cannot be changed.
No Strings Attached by Amanda McIntyre is fantastic! This is a well written book. Ms McIntyre has provided drama, action, humor and smokin' hot sexy bits. Clay and Sally are so lovable in this story, I think the characters are what made this book such a fun read. No Strings Attached is a fairly short read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. No Strings Attached is book 1 of the Last Hope Ranch Series and can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I loved this book and look forward to reading more from Amanda McIntyre in the future.
Enjoyed this one almost as much as the Kinneson series. It wasn't as detailed and I kept waiting for the author to expand certain parts of the story. As much as I love the dinamic between Clay and Sally, the relationship seemed to jump to each level too quickly leaving you feeling like you missed something. Overall it was a nice quick read and enjoyable enough. Would love to see Sam featured in a story.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and now I have to go back and read the first 3 Kinnison Brothers books! LOL. I did think it took Sally a little too long to realize her attraction to Clay. But I loved the fact that his war injuries did not matter to her at all and his heart wasn't too hardened. This is a happily ever after I will probably read again!
Excellent story. The description was a draw but the author's execution was beyond just "good". This was one terrific book. The story of the two lead characters finding each other was wonderful.
