The survivors of the zombie apocalypse have moved on with their lives. Sixty years after the plague vanished and the undead were defeated, life has begun again. In this free piece of flash fiction, a young woman who grew up hearing stories about old America wants to revive those glory days. But one aged survivor won't let her forget the horrors of the past.
S.H. Livernois lives in Northern New York with her husband and dog. She writes in multiple genres, but everything she writes scares both herself and her loved ones.
I read this and would of liked it to be longer but enjoyed reading it just the same I will be looking for more of this author my thanks to the author for the pleasure of reading this wee story.
A super short snippet is a more accurate description, like a chapter pulled from the middle of a story. I'd like to know the whole story...and it's zombies too, I love zombie stories. Can you write all the other chapters and get back to me, please?!
"Buried" is set 60 years after the zombie apocalypse. But I see a broad lesson... where times past are romanticized into "the good old days". I like this broad meaning even if it's not what SH Livernois intended. Read this quick short story, "Buried" and see what you think. Well done!
The story went by to fast. Very short . A grandfather shows where the undead where buried and tell her about the fight he had with them and the people he was close to that died...
It was a good intro to a story, but I wish there was more to it; more story, more depth to the characters, more explanation. It just left me feeling very unsatisfied.
What??? I totally missed the end!! All of a sudden, there where no more pages....??? I agree with most people here, it was well written, but way too short! If you're gonna read it, make sure you don't blink cause you might miss it! I still recomend you give it a try.
This is a short unique and creative zombie tale. We read and watch a lot of the events taking place during zombie apocalypse, but this is a treat in that it is a haunting tale of the events long after.
It could have been good. If it wasn't so short & confusing. It didn't make sense & I barely understand any of what I just read. A waste of space in my kindle library.
I haven't read a story where the living have vanquished an undead hoard, and this short story was a well written little story looking at life after winning the battle.
