My opinion is that putting things off is just part of being human. However, we have the ability to train ourselves to stay on task by using little helpers, such as keeping a to-do-list to stay on task. For me, I use a to-do-list with notes to pick up where I left off. If you eliminate a big task a little piece by piece, the task is not so big anymore and before you know it, you have that task behind you.
All in all, this book is about average. Most of the information was things I already ready learned from other books in the past. I listened to this book on audio on a weekend and it motivated me in getting my tasks organized. I do recommend this book.
He had some good ideas on moving yourself away from procrastination, but he obviously had a huge personal problem with FB which he kept repeating over and over again. The narrator left something to be desire, something like a less whiny voice. That being said I did take a few things away - setting a timer to get work done, and not stopping until the timer goes off, list making (I always do better with a list) and flipping a coin if you can't decide on something, even if you don't get the desired heads or tails, your emotional response to the toss will show you where your true decision lies.
I don't think he has said anything that I don't know. He just wanted to write a book and decided to write about something he likes. But it didn't add anything to me as a reader.
Most described in the book is pretty common sense stuff but it is nice to have most of it in one place/book. There are a couple useful insights though and I'll try a new techniques. It's pretty good but not as good as the reviews of the book led me to believe.
Short and easy to read, but mostly just stating the obvious. If you have already read other books on the subject there is little chance you will find anything new in this book.
